I contacted this urgent care after experiencing significant stomach pain from a medication that was…read moreprescribed to me and called to ask about alternative options. After multiple delayed callbacks, the physician eventually spoke with me by phone. When I asked reasonable follow-up questions about medication side effects, the conversation escalated. The physician became verbally aggressive, stated there was nothing further the urgent care could do, and originally refused to provide her name. The call was then handed over to the manager, who immediately raised her voice, spoke over me, accused me of demanding medications, and continued escalating the interaction. When I stated that the call was being recorded, she incorrectly claimed this was illegal in New Jersey, used profanity, and abruptly ended the call. I was calling as a sick patient trying to discuss side effects and treatment options. The way this situation was handled was unprofessional and disappointing. The fact that this is how they treat sick patients who are just asking a few questions is very telling about the "care" they provide.

Bouncing around, jumping, sliding, when all of the sudden we hear a "pop!" and my son goes down. Not screaming crying, but saying his leg hurts. We knew it wasn't good. I really didn't want to sit in an ER so I called CityMD Paramus to see if they had an X-Ray tech on site. They did so we rushed on over. We didn't have to sit too long (luckily it wasn't that crowded) and they brought my son in for X-Rays which showed he broke his Tibia. They had to place his leg in a splint. It was certainly not a good time for my son. I was a little bummed that they only had Tylenol to offer him instead of at least Advil, but when we got home I got him some Advil. It was a very traumatic event but CityMD was able to help us solve the problem quickly. My daughter was with us as well and she was absolutely distraught. She was crying outside of the room while my son was getting his leg set. The nurses / PAs / Doctors were all SO very kind to her. They took her to one of their desks and colored pictures with her to distract her. They gave her a piece of candy and were able to calm her down. I am SO grateful for them as I was so focused on my son, I couldn't help my daughter calm down. They were absolute angels. The front desk was also extremely helpful in setting up an appointment with a Pediatric Orthopedist in their Summit Health group. They were able to get me an appointment first thing Monday morning. Thank you CityMD for helping us during this rough time! My son is doing so much better, loving his new blue cast, and zooming around in his wheelchair.

So, she took pity on me and did it on her computer and then told me to sit down and wait. 30 minutes later she approached and told me I had to finish it on mobile, So she did it for me. I waited a total of one hour and fifteen minutes before I was called. Due the waste of time trying to input into cell phone. I informed Doctor twice that I was allergic to a medication. she waited 2 hours and sent the medication to pharmacy. As stupid is she sent the medication that I was allergic to the pharmacist. The alert Pharmacist called her but It was to late drug store had close.... EVERY BODY KNOWS MOST DRUG STORES CLOSE EARLY ON WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS..... Now I had to wait and suffer through the night in pain. Because Doctor was a stupid Ahole.

I've now been waiting 4 hrs. in that time I saw the nurse practitioner take an extended lunch, come back to have a casual conversation, then see patients 30 minutes later....oh but not the very next patient, which was me. 2 other patients that we not even on the list. they just happened to grab her attention and got seen. And even worse is that my name, which was also the only one present for the past 2 hours, was pushed back to 3 in line, even after the 2 that were bumped up. I don't understand how the service all all minute clinics are this horrendous and there's been no effort to improve. Update....I am now waiting 6 hours for the call to tell me they are ready for me.

The following Monday, 1/09, I went to this clinic for urgent care. Was negative for covid, but during my visit we found out that I picked up a virus. The doctor who treated me was very nice and friendly and she gave me good recommendations and medicines for me to get better and recover in no time. They helped me get better and go back to work on Saturday, 1/14. By 1/20 I started feeling fully recovered. I recommend this place big time for urgent care if you ever catch what I caught

This is complaint for the Lodi branch)…read more Center manager, Jennifer, on (Tuesday 5/23/23) refused to give me a copy of my physical that I did at the Riverside center on 6/2/2022. I have never heard of a patient being denied their medical records, let alone a copy of a physical, ever. She kept retorting that my medical record is the employer's property & "If I don't have insurance & I didn't pay, I should call my employer to request for my copy of the physical" a false assumption that made me show her my aetna insurance card. Realizing that I actually have Indy insurance & work in the field, Jennifer, center manager, lied to me that employers instruct them to deny patients any copy of their records. I've been working in this field for many years now, & doing travel for years as well & every facility that my employer sent me to get a physical or other med work done for a different hospital contract, has always given me my medical records without issue whenever I asked. Including this site so this center manager was clearly biased in making assumptions. I called my employer who confirmed that it is illegal & they never instruct any of their affiliated occupational health facilities to deny their employees/patients their medical records. & that it was odd so they'll send me a copy & fax one to my facility as well. But I was disturbed by this exchange with a manager at Optum. Once I got verification from my employer, I asked Jennifer, the center manager, to give me contact information about her boss so I can discuss this issue with him/her....and Jennifer REFUSED! For over an hour she went to the back pretending that she does not have her boss's contact. She kept saying bear with me I have to look for it, I don't have it....who doesn't have their boss's name & contact information. She proceeded to call a bunch of other people to try and redeem herself but still refused to give me her boss's contact information. So she refused to give me a copy of my physical, she insisted she was RIGHT for DENYING me a copy of my medical record & when I asked her to give me her boss's contact information, she also refused. Why would she refuse if she is right?? I made it clear that I wasn't leaving without her boss's contact information to address this issue with her higher ups. I do understand patient rights. She threatened to call the police so I could leave without getting her boss's contact info and I told her to go ahead at which point she didn't call the police and handed me a sticky note with a first name (Dan) and an email but no phone number. When I tried to email this contact, she had given me an invalid email. I need to speak to someone in patient relations & this center manager's boss about this issue. I did not appreciate the treatment I received at this site by this manager. & I'm reaching out here prior to contacting the VP & CEO since she clearly did not want me to have her management's information.

I visited here on a Friday night. I went online prior to the visit and made an urgent care…read moreappointment. I was able to complete all the forms online and uploaded my insurance card. The website was user friendly. This was super helpful because as my partner drove I was able to get this all done rather than having to do it at the office. There was plenty of parking right in front. You have to get buzzed into the office. We walked in and were greeted by the front desk. There were a few other people waiting. I loved the online wait list feature that allows you to see how many people are ahead. My son loved that Peppa Pig was playing in the waiting area. We got called in a few minutes before our appointment time. The facility is nice and clean. There was a small TV in the room which we appreciated. The doctor (or PA - not sure) was SO good with my son. He was cranky because he's sick but he was super calm and cooperative with her which is not common at the doctor's office. We really appreciated how thorough she was and how well she treated him. The staff overall was friendly and helpful. We had a great experience at this location. We will definitely come back here.

I had an experience opposite of the other review I read. Upon being called in they asked for my height and weight. They checked my vitals and took a flu and covid test. They told me the provider would come in when the results were back. The provider came in and checked me. Both tests had been negative. I was told that a bacteria was going around causing pneumonia (which to me made sense - my husband had pneumonia like a week prior). She gave me cough medicine because from my cough she should tell it was pretty severe. She then proceeded with telling me they'd take another swab to send to the lab because she doesn't want to prescribe something unnecessary since we don't know 100% what it is. While I appreciate not being prescribed anything unnecessary, I found it crazy that I wasn't given anything but cough medicine for relief. I called the office next day because I forgot to ask how long the lab would take. They said 3-5 days but maybe a little longer because of the holidays. What?! I've been sick in bed an entire week and I need to wait another week to get meds. Nope. I have kids and a home to care for. Luckily I was able to get a telehealth appt with my primary and they prescribed me what I needed. I wish I had not wasted my time here because I'm sure they'll hit me with a nice bill. I was excited for this office to open because of how close it is to me but I will not be returning.
