I visited here on a Friday night. I went online prior to the visit and made an urgent care appointment. I was able to complete all the forms online and uploaded my insurance card. The website was user friendly. This was super helpful because as my partner drove I was able to get this all done rather than having to do it at the office. There was plenty of parking right in front. You have to get buzzed into the office. We walked in and were greeted by the front desk. There were a few other people waiting. I loved the online wait list feature that allows you to see how many people are ahead. My son loved that Peppa Pig was playing in the waiting area. We got called in a few minutes before our appointment time. The facility is nice and clean. There was a small TV in the room which we appreciated. The doctor (or PA - not sure) was SO good with my son. He was cranky because he's sick but he was super calm and cooperative with her which is not common at the doctor's office. We really appreciated how thorough she was and how well she treated him. The staff overall was friendly and helpful. We had a great experience at this location. We will definitely come back here. read more

Absolutely useless. Website says they treat wounds that require stitches. Brought our kid there for a split lip. They would not treat him and said we had to go to the hospital. Maybe update the website and include a disclaimer that actual injuries need actual doctors, which we've learned must not be employed by PMP. read more

Before taking the ride to PM, I went on their website to see appointment availability. It showed that they were wide open. So i booked a 12:15 pm appointment for my 3 yr old. We arrived at 12:05 to make sure we had time to do all the paperwork. Needless to say, we left at 1 pm and still were not seen and we still had 1 or 2 people ahead of us. When I asked what the problem was, I was told there was only 1 doctor. If that was the case, then why would you take appointments and not notify the patients??? Especially when you are dealing with little kids. Bad job scheduling and awful customer service experience. We will only go back out of pure desperation. read more

I brought my few month old baby in this past week. As I walked in the two receptions we're talking - told me to fill out the online form and then she'd call me up when it was done. I finished - 10 minutes goes by- they are still talking - I approached and was told all is good and sit down. Meanwhile I was the only one in the waiting room. Someone else comes in so they had to stop talking and then finally calls me up to finish check in. I was super annoyed at that point as I had a few month old baby struggling. Doctor comes in and completely dismisses me- shames me for my child being in daycare that's why the baby is sick. Then tells me my generation wants a title for the illnesses. I expressed that I just wanted to make sure my child was okay. He tells me all is good and sends me home after 4 minutes. Completely dismisses me. I'm really disappointed with the decline in quality at this pediatric urgent care facility. It used to be excellent but there's been a noticeable drop in service. We brought our 3-year-old daughter here tonight with symptoms that suggested a UTI. Despite having an appointment AND it being our third visit at this location, we had to fill out all the basic paperwork again, which was frustratingly slow and redundant. The major issue, though, was that the staff wasn't in tune with what we needed. To assess our child's condition, the nurse handed us a small cup and instructed us to collect a sample from our distressed child. Given how challenging it is to get a young child in pain to use such a small cup, this was not only difficult but impractical. We managed to collect only a small amount and, when I inquired about alternative collection methods such as using a swab or collecting it in a potty, the nurse said there were no other options. After struggling for a while and only being able to collect a tiny amount from my child who was in a lot of pain, i decided to leave. On the way out, I asked again if a swab or a potty was an option and the staff that overheard my question kind of chuckled at me, insisting there were no other options. I drove straight from PM Pediatrics to a competing pediatric urgent care facility a few miles away in Bergenfield. There, they provided juice and a pediatric urine collection device for my daughter to sit on. Within minutes, they had the sample they needed an my daughter received the care she needed. Trust the reviews here, there are better options out there. read more

I like the hours here and the staff were all friendly and nice, but felt like my child received substandard care from a mid-level instead of a Medical Doctor. The front desk associate was nice, as were the nurses and the physician assistant we saw. They all clearly like kids which is a plus at a pediatric office, but I wish there were a medical doctor on site or someone with more knowledge on food allergies. They did keep him there for monitoring, which was good as he started getting better . The physician assistant, Colleen, we saw did not wear a name tag, so I had to ask her qualifications and her name as I was hesitant about giving my child steroids and asked about the chances of delayed anaphylaxsis because I was always told allergic reactions happen within minutes or a few hours. She was lovely as a person, but I'm not sure was fully qualified to address allergies. She had mentioned that some people can have delayed anaphylaxis 72 hours later, so we decided to give the steroids. The next day we spoke with our pediatrician and called to make an allergist appointment and found out that a second phase of anaphylaxis could occur but it's very unusual, but most importantly second phase could occur if he had a first phase, but he didn't have a first phase. So the steroids were unnecessary. This is probably a good place for general illnesses to get last minute appointments when your doctor can't fit you in. read more

We had a flu test taken Wednesday and when the positive result came in at 11:30pm the next day, no one called us, no email was sent. We only received alerts for the negative results that came earlier. When we came back for the follow up as soon as we noticed the positive result on the lab, we were treated UNPROFESSIONALLY as though we did something wrong and told we were too late for treatment. Unreal. Will NEVER return to this office. I called the office to let them know what happened and NO ONE called me back. read more

I will never go back to PM Pediatrics. My children went in for strep tests and we were slammed with a $200 dollar bill PER KID! And that's AFTER insurance adjustment of over $180. Meanwhile my husband and I went up the street to a regular (non-pediatric) urgent care for the same test and ultimately were charged $40. It's highway robbery to have to pay $400 dollars for 2 of our children to take a strep test. We will never be back and recommend that you never take your children here, ever... read more

When you take a child to urgent care with a chief complaint of palpitations, don't think first of stuffing your company with money and let the parent know outright at check in cardiac complaints can't be evaluated there. Not even an EKG which is why, as a nurse, I took my child there vs ED first. Most urgent cares actually have ekgs without cardiologists on site. If you're hiring PAs who can't even read a basic EKG, then why have them? If you were so concerned and directed me to the ED, why waste our bf time keeping us there? I've been to this urgent care prior to the covid pandemic. After this encounter I'll just head over to Valley Hospital directly with their own pediatric ED. read more

The past two years have been the WORST! I will no longer be returning to PM Pediatrics for urgent care. This place has mis-diagnosed BOTH my children not once, but TWICE! The PA's and MD's are ill equipped to recognize Hand Foot Mouth AND PNEUMONIA!!! Last year, they passed it off as a fever and told to me to just continue giving Tylenol for fever, when I took my child to my AMAZING pediatrician the next day, THEY could quickly see from the throat and skin marks, what was going on. It was HFMD. And as recent as last Thursday, I brought my child in with fever and coughing, the "doctor" appeared to be listening to my child's chest, and diagnosed him with a Sinus Infection, and it was PNEUMONIA!!!! 3 days later, we're in Emergency because the medicine that they prescribed wasn't even the correct medicine and he was still sick. The ER doctor took an X-Ray and quickly saw it was pneumonia. PM Pediatrics prides itself facility on their state of the art equipment and facility, but lacked giving him the correct care, taking an x-ray, swabbing for flu or strep swap, NOTHING!!! They use their eyes and that's all. PM Pediatrics is not the place to bring your most loved person. These "doctors" are inefficient, lack quick thinking and incapable; they need to level up if they plan on staying in business. No parent should put their child in danger, and coming here will, GO TO THE ED INSTEAD!!! read more

We just got our Covid tests here. DO NOT GO HERE FOR COVID TESTS. We are attending a family wedding (11 people) so we all needed tests and then self quarantine. PM Pediatrics in Paramus. They forced us to get full exams $$$$$ bill that to the insurance $$$. Our tests came back negative. Then they told our pediatrician that one of our tests "the patient was exposed to someone who was positive for Covid" we were then told to quarantine for 14 days. this is False! They are not being ethnical, they are taking advantage of the Covid situation $$$, they are private $$$ and they are sending over false codes which creates false # in the gran scheme of things. If I could give no stars I would. Very disappointed in the staff. I went there for a covid test for my 1 year old daughter whose been exposed. I asked the nurse for a rapid test and was told "we only do PCR". Then the doctor comes in and I asked again, "do you guys do rapid tests?" She said "yes" and I said "can I do it for her?" And she was literally arguing with me saying I don't need it. Wtf! Why not? My insurance covers it. And if not, I CAN PAY FOR IT. Do not come to this location (or establishment in general) for a rapid covid test. We made an appointment at this location and specifically noted that we wanted to get a rapid covid test. When we got there the front desk said they don't typically give out rapid tests. If we went in to see the doctor they will most likely not give us the test and we should just cancel the appointment. We asked them to explain why they would refuse us the test and they went on to say that the test is inaccurate and that they are just following CDC guidelines which they were not and why would you advertise the rapid test on your website if you think it is inaccurate? Don't waste your time with this place. And to the customer experience team don't ask me to contact you again because we already spoke and you were zero help. Update: Ended up getting the test at The Doctors Office Urgent Care in Paramus, made an appointment, went in got tested and got results within an hour. All without drama. Lately the service here has been horrible. Wait times are atrocious (spent almost 3 hours last visit about a month ago because they decided to only schedule 1 provider). The front desk staff are so rude and dismissive. They barely interact or even look at you before shooing you away to wait in your car. I've had good experiences here. Recently, I had a pretty bad experience. My toddler was vomiting. At PM, my wife also began vomiting uncontrollably. My wife went to the bathroom. I stayed with my toddler and was seen by the doctor. My wife's vomiting was audible. She was struggling. We understood that PM could not assist adults. We tried to divide and conquer. My toddler was medicated. The doctor was kind. She instructed me to give a few oz of fluids to my toddler every 10 minutes while monitoring to confirm that the medication worked. If vomiting did not stop, she would take more aggressive steps. Before the fluids and monitoring were complete, I was given discharge papers and rushed out by a random, rude nurse less than 5 minutes after. This nurse greeted us by peering into the office door and saying "Haven't you been checked out yet?" I tried to explain the doctors instructions. It didn't matter. We were rushed out. The nurses justification was that my wife's sickness made the other patients/parents uncomfortable. She said they were "looking at us." I understand that the staff needs to manage containment. However, the instructions and approach to handing my family's situation were very inconsistent when contrasting the behaviors of this specific nurse and the rest of the staff. read more

Excellent place to go when your child is sick. I called my child's regular pediatrician to schedule a visit and was told they would have to call me back. I finally got the call back 3 1/2 hours later while awaiting the rapid strep results at PM Pediatrics. This place is amazing! You can schedule online and just go over there 10 minutes prior to your appointment. Everyone there is really friendly and great with kids! Very low key and a soothing, calm environment. read more

Don't go to PM Pediatrics. They lost my son's test sample and they didn't take responsibility for it, even though I had to pay a steeper fee to another clinic to clean their mistake. They have a Chief Experience Officer - Jason Dupuis, who did provide an awful Experience when I complained about the issue. It' s better to not go to their clinic. read more

How are there so many positive reviews. I can't even get trough on the phone. I did exactly what they said, do a telemedicine call for possible Covid, (my daughter was put in quarantine for possible covid exposure) then within 24 to 48 (why So long don't know) hours they will call you for a time to come in for a test without having to wait. Day 3 No one calls. I keep calling and no one answers. I've been calling for 3 days. I get everyone is busy, but what is the point of telling kids to quarantine if getting a covid test is impossible. How are we expected to follow up and do the right thing if trying to do the right thing (getting a test before I send her back) is more than a chore. And the reason I went to PM Peds and not my own pediatrician is for quick results, my office you had to show signs. But can't kids be asymptotic! Im bummed. Future looks dark if we can't figure this system out. Come on pm Peds call. You were quick to process my ins for telemedicine call. Let down. read more

I don't mean to throw everyone under the bus it's just one particular lady and I could bet any money that all the reviews pertain to her. So rude and dismissive. She'll rush you to go wait in the car without even giving you proper instructions and asking you any questions. The doctor was very dismissive too, literally walking out the door while I'm still talking! I clearly stated my daughter was there before with an ear infection (Clifton location) she jus said she's going to send different meds to to the pharmacy. I asked her for a note for her daycare/ my job. she gave me the standard Covid letter. I asked for a visit summary. They use to always give one with the diagnosis and info of the visit. I guess it took too much of her time she wouldn't print it said I can find it on the portal. When i asked the ladies in the front if they can help me one who was very nice tried to help me Navigate it and the rude lady looked at her with a dead stare. Possibly cause she was touching my phone, I don't know but when she couldn't figure it out and asked ms rude she said it was too soon to see the visit they need to close the chart. 7 hrs later... NOTHING and NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE!!! it's a joke. GO TO CLIFTON PM PEDIATRIC; front desk so welcoming and friendly. I took my son there last and they called me With results 15 min after walking out the door and they send follow up messages. It's so unfortunate that 1-2 people give the entire place a bad name. She was even told by the another doctor to give a room some Type of exam and she told Him to his face no. She was too busy, to ask someone else and pointed to the doctor that attended me! Wasn't too busy to call back someone who replied through text that the wait time was too long, with an attitude at that!! Scheduled an appointment for a Rapid test for Covid. Came few mins prior to the appointment and was told that they are a little backed up, so needed to wait in the car and they will call me. Waited patiently for an hour in the car while my kid was hungry, needed to go to the bathroom and falling asleep. Went inside after an hour to check where we are in line, and was told that we can finally be checked in and that we have 3 more people ahead of us. Almost another hour later, we were finally called inside for the doctor to see us. I had asked to do a rapid test, to which i was basically told no, we only do Pcr tests. So for 10 mins inside we waited 2 hours with an appointment. The live waiting list is useless, because it just shows everyone who scheduled an appointment and who just walked in, but does not show your place in line. To make the matters worse, I am now trying to set up online portal to check the results of the test and it just won't send the code to my phone for me to even register. I don't understand how you can have someone with a little kid wait for 2 hours in the car (that day was 98 degrees F outside). read more

if a zero star rating was an option here this place deserves that or less. my husband took our 6 year old to pm pediatrics in Paramus tonight and explained to the "doctor" that our child has a fever (not detectable during our visit due to being on Motrin ) and that our child has been crying since late afternoon and reporting not feeling well including specific symptoms of ear pain. He also explained that our child sleeps right next to her sibling who was sick with strep a few days ago. the dr quickly checked her ears and throat and stated since both look clear she will not test for strep. after my husband reiterated the above, she responded that even if it's positive she will not treat it since my child doesn't have symptoms. (huh??? is the provider hard of hearing or does she have short term memory loss? I refuse to believe that someone who passed medical school could be that stupid) I then got on the phone with the provider who continued to repeat this stupidity to me as to which I responded strongly that my child has symptoms and had a high exposure to strep and that her clinical judgment isnt sound. i work in the healthcare field myself and it is known that untreated strep can potentially pose risks to children . I guess she would like that risk on her license. the doctor continued to refuse proper medical assessment in her monotone voice and when I became angry with her (and resorted to strong language out of pure frustration) - she then responded she is refusing to continue this conversation due to my disrespect. our ped is not open until Monday and my sick child was forced to sit here until 10 pm feeling exhausted only to receive an incomplete medical assessment with no resolution and a doctor who didn't care. I am very disappointed with this place but feel even worse for my child. I do not plan to return here in the future as i no longer trust them to provide care to amy child. we were told to pay our copayment prior to the visit otherwise I would have refused to pay for this lack of proper care and incomplete assessment. doctor did not do her job and hours later I am still appalled that such a person is trusted with the health and well-being of small children. an at home strep test i got from a friend shortly after this visit indicated a positive strep result. on a side note, the exam room did not even appear clean. thanks for nothing pm pediatrics read more

So I have two kids and I have not taken either to an urgent care luckily, but I needed myself & my kids covid tested to go back to pre-school. The office was clean, well organized and the staff was WONDERFUL. I love that they will test the parents with the child instead of needing to run to multiple places. I also loved how nice and calm the receptionist, nurse and doctor were. My kids can be a handful and they didn't seem rushed or annoyed. I am so happy this place exists and I would recommend anyone with children to go there. read more

Please don't waste your time at their Paramus location. We made an appointment on 12.17 at 5:33pm and came at 5:20pm. We were told to wait in the car. No one communicated to us how long is the wait. Why we even made an appointment? Then at 6:30 they called us inside. We had to wait for another 40 minutes inside with the child who had a high fever. When they finally looked at him we haven't received a definitive answer as to what's going on with my kid. Now we will receive a huge bill for basically awful experience and 0 help. read more

Unprofessional Physician! My daughter was there for a COVID test. Her father is quite ill and she had been exposed. The physician there told her and my husband that testing was not necessary since she was already exposed, but agreed to do the test anyway. My daughter was NOT comforted by this. She also stated that this virus would disappear after November 3rd. I called the office to speak to the physician, because I was sure they must have heard her incorrectly. When the Dr called me back, she stated she was just kidding. Not funny. read more

Love pm pediatrics but the 1 star is for one of their staff member: I think pm pediatrics is perfect other than a recent experience more specifically because of a staff. Our son started having strep impetigo and strep throat may 14 brought him to pedia. Was prescribed sulfatrim by pedia. Unfortunately, he was having reactions to the drug which is why we brought him to PM which is also pedias advice as the pedias clinic was closed. Long story short after 8 days of sulfatrim the strep culture done at PM came back positive. So the doctor in PM prescribed amoxicillin sent to our usual pharmacy. Unfortunately, my son didnt like the flavor the pharmacy sent us. So struggling with all the stress and worry, i figured maybe i can find an antibiotic flavored that my son likes from a different pharmacy. So called a few pharmas and found 1 diff from usual the bubblegum flavor we initiallt got, called PM told the staff who picked up the phone my request INFORMING HER THAT I FOUND A PHARMA THAT HAS THE FLAVOR MY SON LIKES. Her name is ASHLEY, she was on duty may 23, 2019. She said she will talk to the dr and call me back. She called me back told me the procedure and then goes YOU HAVE TO TELL US WHICH PHARMACY YOU WANT US TO SEND THE PRESCRIPTION WE CANT BE CALLING PHARMACIES TRYING TO FIND THE FLAVOR YOUR SON WANTS. i was abit taken aback 1. if she had paid attention to what i said i did the work finding a pharmacy because i am not one of those who feels entitled. 2. She could have asked nicely 3. She could have been nicer relaying her message. But she was still wrong because she wasnt listening. I worked for patients and medical field, i dont think its good customer service. Its not like she was horrible nasty but it is horrible in the fact that she is forgetting she is dealing with parents with sick kids. Take note i wasnt nasty to her after she said that but i asked her name and she figured probably why i did. They had a person only a few feet behind me that said they were COVID exposed, I had to do my own swab and then they said they made an error and to come back in again for retesting on Thursday/Friday after the original visit on a Monday. The front desk was very rude. The lady was very curt and was not helpful when I asked why a credit card needed to be on file. The gentleman next to her was more courteous and answered my questions. While we were waiting to be seen an Asian family entered with a little girl around 4 to 5 years old. It was clear she had been crying as her eyes and cheeks were red and swollen. She had her wrist on ice as she entered. The front desk lady asked, do you have a reservation? the parents seemed to struggle with speaking English, but Managed to say no. They asked an appointment? No, we don't have one. The lady at the desk didn't respond and directed them to the QR reader. She didn't even bother to get up to show them. Had I known I would have helped them myself! I only heard of this when I got in my car and my teenage son explained what happened. He was pretty upset to see this family being treated as such. He told me he would have helped had he not been there testing for a positive Covid test. So sad. Despite the intial bad encounter once in the office. The nurse and Dr. were amazing. read more

Brought my son here on a Sunday for a potential ear infection. We had a very good experience for our first visit here. It was easy to schedule an appt online and we only waited a few minutes to see the doctor. They offered my son an ice pop while we waited for the doc, which kept him occupied during the short wait.
