Despite our ten thousand questions (which inevitably include "why does she cry so much?"), Dr. Narucki is very patient with my husband and I, giving us great insight and advice for our daughter. While I had to spend almost 3 hours all the time at Hoboken Pediatrics for each visit. One cool thing about the way Dr. Naruki runs his clinic, is that everything is electronic. You will forms on an iPad (so no need to fill the form every time you go there unless something changes). You sign and pay via the iPad, the health insurance cards are scanned etc., you get automated calls and reminders for appointments and you can access the patient's basic information online via OnPatient. All in all a very efficiently run clinic and it shows in the time not being wasted waiting for the doctor. I value my time and am glad finally I found a doctor who values his time and mine too.

I was also told "if I'm not happy with the scheduling that I can go find a new doctor". I have referred MANY people to this office and if it wasn't for her pediatrician, I would not be returning.

We do go here and do feel they provide honest care for children, I just wish the doctors, nurses and front staff had more joy and fun when the kids are around. They're all very very serious and come off stern. They will give a lollipop or a sticker which my kids do like, but in the treatment room the bedside manner is so cold unfortunately. No loving and welcoming side for the kids. For example, this morning we saw Dr. Grace. She came in, stone cold, very serious and didn't have any loving side or compassion with my three year old. The waiting area is small but they just opened up an expansion across the hall. I never had to wait long and they always have some movie on for kids to watch while hey wait. They fit me in a couple of times late in the day which I really appreciated. My 7 year old has been going since she was 4 and my new born all her life and my wife and I are happy with the service.

While at a well visit, I confirmed a prescription. Prescription was never sent in. I called the office the next day and was told they would talk to the doctor. Still nothing. Sent a message in the portal the next day after, and still no response. This was amongst a few other things that we had issues with in the past year, such as misdiagnosing bronchitis which urgent care did correctly. In this same time period, political emails were being sent out by the office which I'm attaching. I feel that the focus of the practice should be on quality health care. and unfortunately I don't think the quality is there anymore.

Dr. Marcus and Dr. Melissa, while ethical and professional in every sense of the words, are the most gentle and comforting pediatricians I have ever met. It is comforting to know that the staff makes every effort to accomodate children who need to be seen quickly and I can personally attest to that as it has happend on a few occassions. I called about a concern I had regarding a sinus issue that I wanted to address with the doctor. Nicole felt that her front desk expertise entitles her to speak for the doctor. I questioned her and voiced my concerns while she rudely spoke over me. I addressed her about her unprofessionalism, speaking for the doctor, and she then says I'm being rude. I told her when a parent calls with a complaint or concern that is for the doctor to address and not for her to go back and forth with a parent! She said the doctor would call me. I requested an office manager and she says they'll call me. Three and a half hours later I had to call them back to follow up (while my son is suffering with sinus issues). I spoke to Maria the office manager. I explained my experience and told her I never received a call and wasn't even sure if she got my message. She proceeds to tell me she was waiting to call me towards the end of the day. Which is crazy since my son is suffering! I told Maria the office manager that Nicole was being unprofessional and talking over me. She apologized for that but then proceeded to victimize her staff saying I basically was attacking them, going "back and forth" while I was advocating for my child. This office also tends to bring you in multiple times for the same thing. That way they get to charge the health insurance as much as possible. The other incident she was trying to make seem like it was multiple times was another front desk staff who was trying to force my son and I to go back for the same issue they did NOT send medication for (which is why I called). I explained to Maria the office manager that was a lie and I would not be slandered because I advocated for my son who is on the spectrum and insurance. The office manager started speaking to me like I was the villain. Mentioned "if you have a job" that I would know how to talk to people. Etc. I was flabbergasted with her unprofessionalism and response. She in no way shape or form helped nor tried to get in contact with the doctor. Nor sent me the medicine for my son. She basically said in other words that I can leave the office if I don't feel comfortable. Gave me a nonchalant attitude and was very dismissive. Kept saying things like Okay okay okay okay mami and additional snarky remarks trying to shut me up. I mentioned that maybe I should opt out of the office because I have never experienced this in a professional setting. She proceeded to say okay she'll send the exit paperwork. I thanked her for her non-help and nonchalant attitude. She says your welcome. I told her to have the day she deserves and she wished me the same. So I decided to opt out before I come out of character. P.s The discharge papers were sent within minutes. Yet nothing else was addressed. But as the office manager stated in our phone call, "they have the best staff and she's very proud of them". DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DO NOT BRING YOUR CHILD HERE!!!
