I have been using this facility for several years and have always had a great experience. Dr. Stern is knowledgeable, friendly and listens to his patients. His PA staff is also very helpful and are skilled diagnosticians. It is usually very easy to get an appointment (only exception was the height of COVID but obviously they were overwhelmed). The office staff is cordial, professional and makes the entire experience from check-in to check-out seamless. I wish specialist's offices were run this well. Highly recommend. read more

Recently went here for a terrible cough that had been lingering for over a week. The front desk were fast and efficient and had a smile on their faces as soon as I walked in. Was only in the waiting room for 3 minutes and was called back to be seen. The nurse was in and out and the doctor saw me after waiting only a minutes in the room. The doctor was thorough and pleasant. Never have I been in and out of urgent care so quickly and everyone actually seemed to be happy to help. This will be my new go to place! read more

I have never felt so disrespected in my life as I did after seeing the doctor here. After a very long and emotional week with the flu and experiencing some other scary symptoms I went in to get them checked. When I brought up a pain in my side he said "well what do you want to talk about today? the flu or the pain, because we're very busy!". It's disgraceful to treat a patient that way who is coming in for answers, PAYING for them, and who is clearly not feeling well. This was not my first time being talked down to by this doctor but I needed help and would have done anything for it so I came back in, only to leave in tears. He should be ashamed. I dont recommend Doctor's Inn unless you want your health concerns to get invalidated, pushed over, and scoffed at. read more

Horrible. The doctor or PA, whatever he is, I think his name is Peter, is the biggest jerk in the book. He was so rude to my brother when he had a severe case of strep and should really act more professionally. He didn't even check all of his vitals. All my brother needed was a throat culture to get some antibiotics and get better, but this scrawny quack in cargo shorts with a bad attitude gave him a hard time. We left right away and went to his pediatrician, where we should have gone in the first place, and he was diagnosed with strep and given a prescription for abx. The office is dirty (looks like they never clean the fingerprints from the glass doors) and is always crowded right when they open. So though I don't recommend anyone give this s***hole business, if you must go, it's wise to wait until around 9 or 10. read more

My wife, kids and I have been going to The Doctor's Inn since it opened 20 years ago. We have extended family members and friends who also are very satisfied patients for many years. Our collective experience with "The Doctors Inn" has been top notch. Living in Bergen County there is no shortage of good doctors and Dr. Stern and his staff are on top of the list. What sets this practice apart is the consistency that the Doctor brings to the table. He is grounded in this practice, a practice that he owns, works and directs. The consistency is refreshing in today's environment which includes urgent care facilities that open up one year and are gone the next while staffed with doctors you may never see again. I've never submitted a review for The Doctor's Inn but felt compelled to provide feedback based upon our great experiences and after reading some of the other reviews on this site. I completely understand that people are entitled to submit reviews on these forums but let's try and stick to the facts and not let your emotions get in the way of giving a "FAIR" review to a well-deserved establishment. FACTS: 1- "The Doctor's Inn" has been in business over 20 years and served thousands of patients. 2- The Dr. Stern's prior ER Physician experience could not be more relevant to an Urgent Care facility. 3- Front Office Staff are pleasant, totally accommodating and do their best to minimize wait time. 4- Office is large, immaculate and conveniently located right off Rt. 17. 5- Awesome follow up!!!!No matter what ailment brought us to the office during all these years (from a sore throat, to a stitch to a recommended cat scan), there has never been a time when we did not receive a genuine, concerned and thoughtful follow up call the very next day from the office to confirm how we were feeling. Great place here - was referred by my insurance (Cigna) after calling customer service. Drove here, filled out one basic sheet, waited 3 minutes and was taken. 15 minutes later I was done, sorted out, prescription in hand, and no copay. Nice staff, no waiting, no appointments, good hours, convenient location - if you have something wrong with you that's not emergency-room level, this is the perfect one-stop shop. read more

There are not enough good words to describe this place. I'll start with a few: fast, efficient, friendly, clean. I will never go to a GP again. You don't need an appointment, there's never a wait, they're open Saturdays and they'll totally work around your needs. I hadn't been here in about four years, but based on a recommendation of how wonderful they were, I decided to call and make an appt. for a COVID test. I went in and there was a glitch with my insurance. A very rude woman behind the counter said calling the insurance company "was not gonna happen". OK. I left; went home and called my insurance company to straighten it out. I called Doctor's Inn back to make another appointment, but couldn't get one until Monday. This woman was also abrupt. I then asked to speak with the office manager. I was surprised to get a call back from Dr. Stern himself. He told me how overworked they all are and told me to come right in and he would take me. I told him that I did not have my insurance card; only a photo of it. He said it would not be a problem. I arrived within 15 minutes of his call and witnessed the lady behind the desk being friendly and patient to every single person on the phone and in the waiting room. After waiting a few minutes, I approached the window and was rudely told that she hadn't gotten to me yet. Finally, when it was my turn, I offered her my phone to show her my insurance card. Again, she was rude and told me that she couldn't take my phone. I said I had spoken to Dr. Stern and advised him of this and he told me to come in. I asked her to stop being so rude. A minute or two later, Dr. Stern himself called me in for my test and I told him how rude the staff was. He said "OK; let's move on." That attitude does not fix what's broken. read more

Went to the Ramsey Doctor's Inn today for the first time and was pleasantly greeted and treated by an extremely friendly staff. Very clean and organized office. My brother has been here in the past and recommended that I go for my sore throat. They accept United HealthCare insurance. I only waited for about 5 minutes to be seen. The nurse and nurse practitioner (Kathy) were very professional and nice. Kathy listened to all of my symptoms and concluded I had strep throat. My visit lasted about 30 minutes. Receptionist was prompt and courteous I was given plenty of space in my halo of sickness. I was led to a treatment room quickly and treated with respect by a lovely Doctor Who assessed me immediately and determined the cause of my ailment, prescribed medicines and I was on my way. 1 day later and I am already a new person and I didn't have to sit in a miserable crowded room filled with other germs. Think twice before going to the Doctor's Inn for anything more serious than a checkup. The staff is pleasant, and service is quick but I find that the doctors are of below average competency. I went there for a head injury (1/4" gash and later a black eye) because it's near where I work. The physician sealed the wound, but he did not in any way check for a concussion. Furthermore, the doctor told me that no follow-up visits were needed. I was surprised by this considering all the publicity about the dangers of a concussion. Two days later I went to a doctor closer to where live because of eye problems, and I was given a battery of concussion-related questions and tests. I didn't have a concussion but I seriously question a facility that fails to adequately examine someone with a head injury. read more

Alright, let me start by saying that the staff and nurses have consistently been welcoming with great bedside manners. Dr. Stern, not as such. This wasn't my first visit but it will be my last. I find him incredibly rude (talking over me and interrupting), rushed, and sexist. I've been sick for over 2 weeks and decided it was time to go to the doctor. Maybe it was the thick blood filled mucus, the headaches, or the wheezing and coughing, but something just felt very wrong since I had started to get better and then abruptly got worse. I can barely sleep due to congestion and coughing. I feel like I'm drowning! And what does Dr. Stern say? He says I'm probably just stressed out because I am a stay at home parent, and it's probably just a virus. He kept talking over me, interrupting, and trying to pursuade me that I wasn't actually sick as I sit in the room hoarse from coughing, and wheezing and gasping from WALKING down the hall. I'm not overweight, not even close, and in good shape so it's really unusual to be feeling winded from a short walk. And let me just say how disgusted I was by the fact that he sat there and tried to tell me that there was no way I was sick again since I had been sick a few months ago. EXCUSE me?! Like I wanted to feel like this for the last 2+ weeks?! I don't feel I should have to CONVINCE a doctor that I need an ANTIBIOTIC instead of "rest and water" because he thinks I'm just "stressed out". The only thing I'm "stressed out" about is this sinus infection. I've been getting them regularly for the past 20 years. I've been to an ENT and I can't afford the procedure to correct it. So yes, I think I know one when I have it and "more rest" isn't going to do anything. Then, the proverbial cherry on top of this whole thing, on the way out, he was putting down one of his nurses by loudly asserting, "I am the boss, I make the rules!" I know there can be issues with staff but that is just unacceptable. I don't recommend Dr. Stern. He might be fine for others, but I was rubbed the wrong way too many times. The front desk receptionists were immediately attentive and welcoming as soon as I arrived, and were very friendly. I waited less than ten minutes after arrival to see the doctor, and his assessment was very focused, but very thorough. He very quickly realized the issue, and was able to pinpoint exactly what I needed. As a nurse, I've worked with many different doctors over the years, and he was absolutely fantastic in how friendly, efficient, and clinically competent he was. Clean office, Friendly and pleasant staff...even when I came in 10 minutes before closing time, the receptionist welcomed me, the nurse practitioner saw me. Only one sheet of paper front and back to fill out before going in, so it was really a breeze...from beginning to end...I had to get a tetanus shot, and Susan the nurse was awesome, I barely even felt it...because she was confident in her skill, I had confidence in her and even though I hate needles...she really made me feel so comfortable...the nurse practitioner was super nice too, I totally recommend this urgent care doctor's office to anyone who needs to see a medical provider in a pinch...A++ read more

I went to the Doctors Inn this week and saw Eric, the PA. I was seen after a very short wait. I'd been having some difficulty breathing because of asthma and Upper Respiratory Infection. The initial exam was fast and thorough, and I was immediately treated with a nebulizer. A nurse stayed with me during the 20 minute treatment to monitor my breathing a heart rate continuously. Afterwards, Eric came back and discussed adding/changing medications to help control my asthma, and told me to follow up with him the following day. The next day I went back for a follow up appointment. I again had a very short wait to be seen. Upon being seen, I was given a second breathing treatment, and a prescription for steroids and an antibiotic, since I was still having trouble breathing. Eric took the time to thoroughly explain how and when I should take the prescribed medications, and what I should do if I continued to have trouble. Overall, I was very please with my experience and the treatment provided, and woukd not hesitate to return in the future. read more

This place stinks. We called in advance to see if a DOCTOR was available but did NOT see a doctor. We saw a poor nurse practitioner and were not told anything until we were INSIDE the exam room! The exam notes are supposedly reviewed by a doctor sometime in the future (for whatever that's worth). What good does it do for another physician that is NOT treating to review patient notes from someone that he has NOT examined! Oh, to make sure the NURSE practitioner doesn't screw up?! I have nothing against nurse practitioners but the sign says, "DOCTORS" inn, not nurse practitioner (unless of course you read the tiny illegible sign they have posted in the office. Also, the nurse we saw did an abysmal exam. We even had to request that a pulse and blood pressure be taken! She essentially said it could be anything and we should go somewhere else!? However, they will make sure to get your money: $90 for an initial visit. They will not take out of state insurance. We complained but they didn't care. Look: When someone is sick they have no time for bait and switch scams, reading illegible signs, or fine print like some kind of smarmy used car lot. Went in for some unexpected swelling under my eye. I was seen almost immediately. Dr. Stern saw me and diagnosed me almost immediately. Within 15 minutes I had a prescription which helped me recover within a day or two. This place is great for a quick visit, with friendly staff and great doctors. read more

As my primary care physician was out on medical leave, his office recommended that I visit an urgent care facility to get my prescription refilled. When I called the Doctor's Inn, Dr. Stern got on the phone to speak with me personally, and assure me that they could help me. This was my first time visiting the office and I was impressed with a quiet, clean waiting room. The staff was pleasant, friendly and professional. As I was a new patient, I had to fill out one sheet, present my insurance card, and wait just a few minutes for my turn. (This was at 11:20AM on a Tuesday.) The physician's assistant took my temp. and BP, and Dr. Stern came in promptly. We talked about what I needed, and after a few questions and inspecting my script bottle, he wrote a refill for enough to last until my primary is back at work. Total time of visit? 20 minutes in and out the door. Plus, my copay was less than if I went to my primary. I would go back, and recommend this office to others. To other reviewer who said they never saw Dr. Stern, at the time of my visit there was a sign posted that stated that was a possibility, and also stated that Dr. Stern was in the office that day. read more

This place is a scam. Went for a physical. Had to pay up front, to be reimbursed by United Healthcare. The charge from Doctor's Inn was $160, paid up front. United Healthcare has an agreed negotiated discount for physicals with Doctor's Inn, so that the actual charge we are supposed to be paying is approximately $95, which United Healthcare sent to us. When asked to refund the overage, and having faxed over the explanation of benefits to them, Doctor's Inn told us in so many words "Tough Shit, we are keeping your money, and there is nothing you can do about it." So we are out the remaining $65. Will not use these scammers again, and would recommend finding another health facility. read more

When he did he acted as if I was excited to spend $45 dollars and an hour of my day to amuse him with a description of "my" symptoms. Poor bedside manner and a bit curt.
