If I can give less stars, I would. They have the worst service. They are the most unhelpful and snobby. They pretend to be professional and caring, but after they they have done their billing they don't care a thing about you. They don't give a hoot. If I would tell them that it's an emergency and that I'm dying, I promise you they would either hang up the phone on you or they will say something like "Our next appointment is in three weeks.." I went there for my covid shot. I will say that for some reason they had a good supply and responded to my enrollment quickly. I was contacted within the week that I was authorized and made an appointment. Parking and location is good but organization is not great. I was not asked the usual covid questions and was sent to the elevator, On the 5th floor is a large staging area and nobody direction anybody. The staff was friendly but seemed short staffed. After the vaccine you are asked to remain for 15 minutes to watch for a reaction. This is a good idea but honestly there is nobody watching you in case you have a problem. Waiting for 10 minutes just to check in for an appointment. When you call it takes a while to get to speak to a person... I had an appointment with one doctor at 9:45 .when I arrived they let me know that the doctor is not coming in. Now I'm waiting for over a half an hour to see another doctor. Let's see how much longer it will take. No one to complain or to talk to. They don't care about there patients. All they care is about there pocket. WORST PLACE EVER! The staff does not know what they're doing, I have no insurance, they made me pay prior to my appointment which I have no problem with. But once I went in the nurse and the Dr. Didn't even care why I was there, and dismissed me saying to come back in a year. If I could leave no stars I would. (They will treat you like Shi*** if you are not from there religion, they are racist and not professional.) I don't recommend this place. And it is not a covid_19 safe place either. I came for vaccine with my relative who doesn't speak English very well. I overheard one of the men working there complaining that "in America, people should speak the American language." Something like this. Sorry dear but unless you're speaking Algonquin or something, you're not speaking the original language of this land. Disgusting customer service. There was 1 girl who was very sweet but I went back yesterday and found out that she was no longer working at reception. Since this place seems to be run by Orthodox Jews, you better not get sick on a Friday, Saturday or a Jewish holiday (and there's quite a few). No joke. I called in at noon on a Saturday about a positive Covid home test. The voice mail message said that someone was available until 12:30 but after navigating an infuriating voice mail menu I was eventually forwarded to an answering service. If you like to explain your medical condition to an answering service operator, this place is for you. Then I was called back by a Doctor who told me I could pick up Paxlovid at the Acute Care Desk at Refuah. I'll spare you the excruciating details but of course they weren't able to supply it. Anyway, be prepared to be treated as if you're from another planet. There is an odd vibe in this place. And keep in mind the local Jewish community that they serve (largest in the USA) has one of the lowest Vaccination rates in New York State. And now a polio outbreak. Not sure how they get away with it. I do have a great Doctor here but even so, it's not worth the price of admission. This last situation did it for me. I suggest finding a place that really cares about you, whatever your religious persuasion or lack thereof. Add to that, the staff is in desperate need of training. My advice? Find a place that cares about you now while you're feeling well. Don't say I didn't warn ya'. The reason I use them is because of ease in making appointments with doctors. ( the dental departments is full and as of end of 2015 you can only get appointment there if you are part of the medical practice) There are some excellent doctors and easy and professional to make an appointment. read more

Refuah is a great fit for my family. When one of my children is sick, I can call and make an appointment the same day. Their call center is actually open all night, so I can schedule appointments in the early AM when the baby is up with an ear ache. Accessible care is so important when you have a growing family, and it's comforting to know that our doctors are there when we need them most. read more
