First time coming to this office location and as a Bergen county local I had no idea this location had been here for as long as it has. Easy to park compared to other valley offices as there is a private lot for this plaza. The waiting room was mostly empty when I was waiting for my appointment and check in was easy. The only complaint I had which is not valleys fault were other patients coughing and sneezing and not covering their mouths. I waited maybe 10-12 minutes before a nurse took me back got my height and weight and did intake questions before my doctor came in. Very efficient wait times compared to what I've experienced at valley specialists compared to PCPs. read more

I went to VMG today because I felt weak and had vertigo. The doctor diagnosed electrolyte disturbance due to lactulose I was taking prior to a colonoscopy. Eveyone was most helpful and I did not have to wait more than a few minutes. Many medical facilities employ receptionists who are rude and indifferent. Not so here. The receptionist was most helpful and courteous, as were the other staff. I highly recommend this facility. read more

From the second you walk in the door, you are met with kindness, cleanliness, and know that you will get the best care. Been really happy with this group for both quick appointments and annual physicals. The staff is kind and helpful.

First off wear a mask when you enter; is my best suggestion I can give someone. The amount of people in the waiting room is usually overfilled and people are sneezing and coughing all over the place. I came in last night because I had a constant ringing in my left ear since 2 pm earlier that day. I used the kiosk to sign in and gave my drivers license and insurance information to one of the two behind the counter. I was told that even though I checked in on-line they were backed up and would still be a 45 minute late, but I was towards the top of the list to be seen because I checked in on-line. 35 minutes later I was seen by the medical assistant, who took my vitals. The Nurse Practitioner, not a doctor, came in, but gave me the attention and time to answer all of my questions and to look at my ear. She was compassionate and did her job fully. She did call in a prescription for me, to the local rite aid, but the computers were down when I left, so the pharmacy never received the paperwork for it. 12 hours later I am still without my meds. To recap the positives, big parking lot with ample spaces, the staff are competent and will not rush you out, giving you the attention you deserve and will answer all questions. Valley hospital must re-evaluate and supervise its Navigator Center staff constantly. My wife and I spent more than 5 hours waiting online for a NAVIGATOR to help us scheduling an appointment with the Valley Hospital Diagnostic Imaging. We spoke with a radiologist of the center who told us that they can't do anything a it. Totally absurd. She connected us to a supervisor extension number that wasn available at all. It's totally pathetic that they put you on hold listening to an answering machine telling you that A NAVIGATOR WILL ANSWER YOUR CALL SHORTLY.... The staff are so rough and is so mean. I came in crying with an injury on my finger he told me to ' stop crying. I'm fine. ' terrible manners. Then the bandage had dried to my finger with blood and instead of gently taking it off with warm water he rips it off opening the wound again. Who does that Save the trip and go to AMPM IN Allendale so much friendly and actually know what they are doing. Valley doesn't even know not to give Tylenol to a someone on chemo. Stop turn around find another place. I'm 65 yr old female have been a patient of Dr Andrew Granas before he moved from Dumont to this practice. Dr Granas left, now the practice took away my two much needed medications Xanax .5 and Ambien 10mg sleep. The nurse informed me that they have tried numerous times to call. They did not call me I would have called back. I'm not that reckless give me some credit. I then go see this dr whom refuses to prescribe my medications tells me I should see a psychiatrist but refuses to recommend one. I then look on my patient portal and he documented that he referred me and that he explained the dangers of opiates and sedatives. He never mentioned it to me, however I knew he was cowing down to the controlled substance issue. I do have a long hx of pain and see a Pain specialist whom is aware of all my Meds. I only take 10mg Percocet a day very small dose which for the past has never interfered with my life. Now I'm having horrible anxiety. Medeavil medicine. I'm a professional registered nurse and I am aware of all the side effects and interactions of my medications. read more

Terrible practice. I contacted VMG this morning about an appointment. I was told that they had no available appointments, but that my PCP gets in at 1 pm, and they have an especially slow day, so I could see my PCP with minimal wait time. I was sent the standard check in email and text for my "appointment " and I arrived at 1 pm. Upon my arrival the gentleman sitting behind the check in counter told me it would be a half hour wait. I made it very clear that I couldn't wait as I had to return to work. Needless to say after waiting for over an hour I was told that I was next and the exam room is being cleaned. 15 minutes later I'm telling them that I must return to work and finally was taken into an exam room. After waiting yet ANOTHER 10 mins, I finally just walked out. As I drove off VMG called me to say "Vanessa" just walked into the exam room as I left and was asked to return. Please don't listen to the support staff when they give you wait time. They are clearly just lying and wasting other ppls precious time. read more

The WORST!!!!. I called ahead on Sunday morning for my daughter who just needed a "quick" X-ray. 3.5 hours later.... not even an ace bandage on my daughter's sprained ankle. When I complained out loud to the Dr, Nurse and Reception desk they all made like they were doing me a big favor!!! I said you do get paid right? You will bill my insurance company like $2,000.00 for this right??? It's not charity care I am paying and this is a business after all. People come in for a service and you do get paid right??? I too run a business on Sunday, if I ran a business like this I would be out of business! I would have been smarter to go to the ER. I would have been seen, x-ray, ace bandage and some crutches too. What a ridiculous phone system! I dialed my PCP direct office number and was channeled into the Valley Health System instead - I am now waiting for a "Navigator" so I can make an appointment with my doctor's office. "Your call is important to us" is not how I would describe being on hold for 24 minutes so far. 24+ minutes to schedule an appointment? Seriously? The "Navigator" also gives me the option of having the system call me back when my turn on the line comes up...I tried that 1 hour ago and I'm still waiting for that call. The senior doctors here are rather experienced and knowledgeable. (The non-senior doctors come and go, as does at most community clinics.) They know when to refer you to a specialist when it is out of their field of specialty. I would rather have that, than to get false hope answers. They give me free samples of the meds I may need (if they have any related to my condition), so I do not have to get as much at the local pharmacy which I must pay for. The staff has been kind, and the facility is well kept. As for a previous review I've read here, I have never experienced a breach in HIPPA protocol here, but it may be entirely possible since I'm not here all the time. I use to work for Medicare in HIPPA compliance. During my consultations in the examination rooms, they close the door part way to keep the sound in, but also leave it a crack open for their own safety in case they are attacked. It's a community clinic that accept patients from all neighborhoods. Never know who you get, so it is smart, and not a violation of HIPPA. There is ample parking, and a sushi and pizza establishment near by for food. There is a Hallmark type of store in the shopping center as well to take care of sentimental shopping needs. I am a fan here because it is actually the best community clinic I have experienced as a patient. (Not as during my auditing experience with Medicare.) The ones in the surrounding areas and NYC are quite a far difference from this one, and until you experience one in the low social economic areas, you may not understand how most community clinics actually are. read more

This is the WORST, most disorganized practice. Scheduled appointments are not kept. Twice my husband had an appointment (took time off from work to go) and they said "sorry, we do not have you in our records". Then once he finally had an appointment, the visit wasn't coded properly so insurance is not paying. When I try to get them to help, they push me off on some billing agency. And to add to my frustration, the office manager would not get on the phone. Always, "gone for the day". Dr. Ferreras orders un-needed tests and has a brusque manner. I would join the group of people below who would give this place 0 stars if they could. I've been to this Medical Group before and the one in Hawthorne when it was open and never really had a problem. I understand it's an urgent care type place and the timing is not the greatest. I made an appointment on 11/19/19 at 1 pm for almost flu-like symptoms. So as you can imagine I felt terrible and I waited nearly an hour a half to be seen not by a doctor... but a nurse practitioner. At that point, I was just desperate to get looked at and get some medication. When I first arrived, they never even asked me for my health insurance card or co-pay. Second, people who came in after me were getting called in. Finally, when I did get called in, the nurse did his usual questions, checked my blood pressure... etc... then the nurse practitioner came in... had them do a quick flu test... and didn't even prescribe any type of meds. I just so happen to look on the Valley Health portal today to see I'm being charged $235!!! For what?! I never even received a hard copy bill. All Valley Health Medical groups are terrible. The Valley Hospital has been swallowing private practices and has created a network of terrible medical practices. The Valley Hospital has always been one of the worse in the Northern NJ area, (They almost killed my husband at the hospital when he acquired a secondary infection after surgery), now every practice they have swallowed is just as bad, from particular doctors to their infamous "walk-in" clinics. Nasty front desk employees and complete disregard for patient's time: they will cancel confirmed appointments and tell you to call "one of their other locations". Waiting times of over an hour because they do not think patients have anything else to do than to waste time waiting to see one of their C-average doctors. And when you see a doctor, they sent you home with a "viral" diagnosis that ends up being a serious infection when diagnosed by a real doctor. Run as fast as you can. The Valley Health System is not a health"care" organization, it is a health"money-making" entity that provides terrible services. read more

I had to get some bloodwork done and a regular physical, this place and the staff were awesome! I have a serious fear of needles, break out into a cold sweat every time. Daniella was the one who took my blood at Valley and did a fantastic job of comforting me and allowing me all the time I needed to be comfortable before and after getting the blood drawn. Was the smoothest process I've been through relating to needles, I still broke out into a cold sweat, but barely felt it as I was told to watch a video on my phone. The doctor Maria that I had was also amazing, super friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. I live in Waldwick and with a baby on the way I will be making this place my primary doctor location. Again, can't thank the staff enough for taking care of me so well. If you have a fear of needles, Daniella is the best in the business. I definitely recommend this location. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Awful. Awful. Awful. They have consistently made errors and have terrible customer service. They prescribe medications that you are allergic to, even though it's listed in your file. When they make a mistake, they force you to make another appointment. Horrific experience. Rude, uncaring, and unprofessional. I went in for a routine skin test which they quoted on the phone for $50 and when we arrived they told us the price would be $170! The receptionist was rude and the "manager" was even worse, completely incompetent reciting like an uncaring robot their inane "policies". And when the doctor came out she disrespected him by dismissing him talking over him as he was trying to help. They also violate HIPAA confidentiality rules by making your full name and reason/ condition accessible and VERY audible to everyone. Made an appointment at 12.30 for blood work. Did not get this done until 2.45. Not efficient. I thought some other medical center is bad. This is the worst so far in term of wait time. Even the nurse admitted people just walk out for the insane wait time. Second appointment (why? Employer designated site) to get shots. Called ahead and they told me no wait. Guess what there was nobody and yet I still had to wait 10 minutes. Guess how long it took them to get the vaccines? This system is ripe for some major changes. Surprising thing. Time with the doc and nurses were less than 15 minutes combined from the 2 visits. Ever wonder why our healthcare cost is high? The only reason they get 2 stars is because of the great hours they are open. My wife and I both have had more negative than positive experiences, mostly with Dr Sequeira. She is very abrupt, doesn't listen to your concerns, and prescribes medication without knowing the dosage. I told her I was allergic to a medicine and she prescribed it anyway and when I asked the dosage, she had no idea. It took an hour and a half for me to get an answer, and it was from the nurse. Not even Dr Sequeira!!! Dr Sequeira told me to take the medicine or deal with it. She was extremely rude. I also do not know how she got her MD. My wife walked in with symptoms of the flu. Dr Sequeira didnt examine her at all. Didnt listen to her chest or anything. She said that she must have the flu. When making an appointment I would make sure to ask to not have her. read more

I love this place the staff is soooo freindly and always greet me when I come in. The hours are great, Sunday mornings, late evenings, etc. My whole family goes here. They have a family doctor so I get to bring my kids too. You have to call ahead though to make sure there's a family doctor available to see your kids. But really I love this place better than my pediatrician. The waiting room is always clean, tea and coffee, tissues, tv and plenty of magazines to read. Kids table with coloring books and crayons to keep them busy. But most inportantly the doctor's and staff are so friendly never have an addittude. read more

I am a big Fan of The Valley Medical Group in Waldwick. They are polite and professional. I went there when I had pneumonia and I was treated well. I heard about this place but had a private doctor until I turned to medicare and most private doctors would not handle a medicare patient??? The Doctors are great and they have been handling my blood pressure and problems with my heart. They also refer a patient to a specialist if they feel that I need extra help. I drive an extra 20 minutes, sick, to get to this facility because it is so superior to all the other walk-in's available. The Dr.'s are great, knowledgeable, efficient, kind, and informative. With an appointment, I've been taken in even before my time. Without one, even when the place was packed, I didn't have to wait more than 45 minutes.The woman at the desk is not going to hug you, but I don't go there to find a warm, fuzzy receptionist. The other reviews indicate 1) DON'T GO THERE FOR LAB WORK! GO TO A LAB, LIKE QUEST. 2) THIS PLACE IS NOT SET UP TO BE USED AS A PRIMARY DR. 3. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN CARE. Horrible, Unprofessional Facility! A must to avoid! Went there after work with a highly inflamed, infected elbow! Entered the facility at 7:40 pm , within the advertised hours of operation, which was listed as 8 pm. Receptionist, after checking with the doctor, I assume, told me that they were not taking anymore patients because it was too close to closing time! I found that absolutely unacceptable so I did get a bit rude with her, but hey, I wasn't there to pick up a pizza! I was a patient that needed Urgent Care! They did grudgingly take me in but they were rude and spiteful right back! Especially Dr Grannas! When he came in to treat me (if you could call it that), he chose to immediately start an argument with me instead of helping me! I mean it wasn't as if I was asking him or his precious staff to stay there till mid nite on my account! I think he spent about 4 minutes trying to chew me out and to tell me how unethical it was that I was rude, and about 2 minutes to give me his diagnosis and write the script for the antibiotics that would work on my infection! I have been coming here for probably a little over two years and think that the Doctors and Nurses are absolutely wonderful. They have definitely improved on their wait time with walk ins which is great. The only complaint I have is recently with the office staff. I was there yesterday and saw the doctor and prescribed a few different medications. I neglected to get a cough medicine and called at 8:30 this morning to have it called into my pharmacy for me so I could have someone pick it up for me. It's not 2:10 pm and the prescription was never called in and the woman who answered my call told me that the doctor is there until 9pm and it will be done before he goes home. when i explained i was having someone else pick it up for me - her response was well then you will have to call the pharmacy every hour to check to see if it was called in... VERY RUDE! I realize that the dr. is very busy but that's why i called when they first opened and before lunch so it could be done. This is so disappointing because I am always referring family and friends here to them because they have always been so professional and provided excellent service. read more
