We stopped at the Redhook Brew Lab after touring Pike Place market. It was very nice, with benches outside and plenty of seating inside. The beer was really good-I had the ESB (their flagship I think) and my husband had an IPA. When you check in on Yelp, your first beer is only $2! Anyway we tried the crab Mac and cheese which was great and we watched a game. We really enjoyed ourselves, and we got a couple of "crowlers" to go. Highly recommend this place! PS the patio is dog friendly. read more

Didn't have any food here. But bartender was real cool and gave numerous samples of the different beers. Pretty good selection. Was there on a weekday and wasn't to pack was able to throw back several beers while playing shuffle board which was a blast. read more

This place has plenty of different beers, and it's a great atmosphere - full of fun people. I didn't try any of the food, but the pizza and pretzel looked incredible. I got a little bit of sass from a bartender for not knowing that the two bars inside had different beers. I didn't go in every room, but it looked like there were shuffleboard games in the back. read more

My boyfriend and I stopped in here because I saw that if you checked in on Yelp, you got $2 off of your first beer. Sold! Our bartender was very knowledgeable and outgoing, suggesting just the right beer for our taste. Would recommend to anyone staying in the Capitol Hill neighborhood! read more

Huge space! This place has good beer, and a fun atmosphere. The bartenders we nice, but it's weird that everything is bar-service so you have to pay before you even get your food. We had a plain cheese pizza which was decent, albeit the saltiest pizza I think I've had at a bar. Overall a good place, and a very unique style. FYI - they do not have any board games here, so bring your own! read more

Can't compare to the glory of the Woodinville palatial estate, but a great place to reminisce over the good ol days. A unique menu and all the great brews, a sample size of the merch shop and a fun location in Cap Hill. The flatbreads and burgs are great and they have a seprate booze bar in the back if the beers arent enough for you. Great place to start your evening. read more

Three words: Excellent fast service. This was my first time here; Dan, the bartender, directed me to the menu where I decided upon the Big Ballard, an above par IPA. Great beer and awesome service is a great combination and I'll definitely be a returning customer! read more

Awesome space. Two bars with Outside front picnic tables , back outside Adirondack chairs . Great beers and even better food . Mussels some of the best I have ever had . Great sliders. Can't wait to go back ! read more

It's really a shame I live right above this place but probably will never come come back. Came here and had a beer and some food. Me n my husband ordered the pizza some cheese fries, and edamame. They didn't really have too many vegetarian options. The pizza was frozen pizza quality. It lacked any flavor. It was pretty bad. The cheese they used on the fries tasted like beer cheese which was just ok and hardly give you any. Besides grabbing beer it's not really worth it. There's plenty of other places that have better food where you can grab a beer read more

Good beer, loved the cauliflower, truly terrible service. Keep in mind, it was a not-terribly-busy Thursday night. Nonetheless, I was treated like the enemy the entire time. After being told that the bartender would be around to take my order, I waited 20 minutes to find out he was never coming over. Then, when I approached the bar I received three excuses why I was "just going to have to wait" before I was given the opportunity to order beers. My first attempt to order food was just ignored, and the second time I received a head nod toward the menu and a golf pencil. Of course, I was sniped at when I assumed I was supposed to mark what I wanted on the menu (a not unreasonable assumption on a paper menu). Then, I was condescended to for not understanding that I could only pay for two beers at a time (I was trying to order 3). When I offered to do two orders, I received a huffy "just give me the card" and my order was rung up. And some version of this dance took place every time I or anyone in my party tried to order anything (we went a total of 3 rounds over 3 hours). And to cap it all off, the bartender yelled at us on the way out like he was trying to pick a fight. It was an awful experience. I'll never go back. read more

This place is great! We probably go here a few times a month. The food and beer are both good. Their beer is on the more safe side, but there is something for everybody. They usually have a fairly wide spread from IPAs, to Pilsner, to stouts and everything in between. Also, the bartenders are very nice as well! Even when they are really busy, they find time to say hi. The space is really large. There is patios in both the front and back, there are bars in both the front and back and a small room that is tucked away in the back that has shuffle board. Overall, great place where nobody will be disappointed. read more

I've long been a fan of Redhook and consider their ESB to be one of my favorite beers so it only made sense that I stop by. It was fairly bustling inside, but not so much so that it was uncomfortable. The bartender that served us was polite and the beer did not disappoint. (The Dark Patterns porter was phenomenal.) Overall, I liked the vibe of the place and would come back given the opportunity! read more

Such a fun place and in a great location! Service was spot on. It's a very large facility that would be a great place to host an event or work party. read more

I was excited to try this place and as I have walked pass it many times admiring how inviting it looked. But I was quite disappointed with the service. The bartender helping me was quite rude and did not want to answer questions I had about their beers. I have never encountered an unhelpful bartender at a brewery until here. The beers itself are pretty good and is worth a try. read more

Redhook Brewlab is an excellent pub & cafe concept. Not sure if "cafe" is the right term, as they do serve food but not a wide selection. What they do offer is simply amazing. I ordered the wagyu sliders, oysters, along with two different types of Seattle beers. Food was great. I highly recommend this place if you like good appetizers and great beer. read more

Excited to try this place but Yelp shows an incorrect menu and so does the brewery website. Turns out they don't actually serve more than snacks right now but no one will tell you until after you wait for 20min for help read more

Absolutely amazing! Great brew, food, and staff. Definitely on my list as a new Seattle fav!

Really cool place. Love everything about it. The beer was excellent and we tried about everything they had on tap. Can't wait to stop in again for another cold one! read more

The side of fries is very large! They were shoe string fries, so if you like those get them. Beer cheese was so so. Beer was delicious and ambiance was very pleasant read more

Great place to grab happy hour with friends! The atmosphere is nice, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating available. Will definitely return another weeknight. Waiting until it's a little warmer to enjoy the outdoor seating! read more

Really good food,Brew selection was amazing. Customer service was excellent. Cool atmosphere, good music.

Just happened to stumble into the brewery what caught our attention was the petting zoo and the coloring project that was going on. Beer was great atmosphere was perfect for a laid back Sunday. Relaxing Sunday while drinking a few beers and coloring. The DJ was playing great music too bad they stopped at 7pm. Will definitely come back when ever I happen to be back in Seattle. read more

This is a nice big space with outdoor seating options. There's a fire pit in the back. There's a couple bar areas with TVs nearby. A lot of folks come here to watch the Seahawks game, so it will get pretty packed. We snacked on their pretzel bread and their loaded veggie pizza. I tried a couple beers that were wheat or ale based. The majority of the rest on the menu were IPAs. Overall, a legit gastropub great for groups, unique beers, and decent bar food. read more

This place is a cool building but that's about all, there beer list was incredibly long (probably had like 10 pale ales haha) but incredibly underwhelming and the few beer I tried was super average, I asked the bar tender about barrel aged beer and they gave me kind of a snarky response telling me they haven't been open long enough to age any beer... hmmm k, won't be back, but hit up Urban family, holy mountain, Fremont brewery or chucks hop shop if your looking for good beer ! (Didn't try food so I can't comment on that ) read more

This place needs a serious overhaul on servers. The manager is lovely and made it right when our food order came out wrong, the bussers were nice and attentive, but our interactions with both servers was some of the most abysmal service I've received in Seattle. The male server REFUSED to bring us more napkins when we politely requested for our WINGS order "I see you have plenty." (We did not.) Female server was brusque and when we accidentally asked her to clear an empty plate she barked "that's a busser's job." and walked away. There is no real indication who is a busser and who is a server so it was an honest mistake. The manager deserves a better staff and I will hesitate to take my business back here at these prices. I can get friendlier service pretty much anywhere on the Hill and that's saying something. read more

We had a pretty large group come in a few weeks ago for a friends birthday. I never thought my group was loud or obnoxious at any point in time but they acted like we were. They also don't have pitchers and the one drink that I wanted was out of stock already. It wasn't even that late...how can you run out so fast? There was no indication that you need to order before you get a table. So the whole place is essentially open seating. The beer and food were pretty good but the service and vibe of this place just left a bad taste in my mouth. read more

Super cool spot to unwind after a long day at work! Great bartenders that know all the ins and outs of their brews. Great food pairings and great beer! What more do you need?? Stop by for a great time that won't disappoint! read more

This place is great! Make sure you meet Divine! She is THE BEST and really knows how to make your experience an unforgettable one! I was the first ever customer to get a flight of beers (I feel special) and all of their collaborations are incredible! I tasted many of their IPAs and they were great! The service was top notch! I can't wait to come back! read more

I get that this is the pre-opening, but their customer service is beyond exceptional. The upmost care for their customers and amazing beer/food. Their bartender Sean (Shawn?) definitely was top notch with his beer knowledge and looking to make sure you have a good time. Best part? When they found out I was vegan, they made a vegan pizza for me. I am quite stoked for this place to be officially open as it is my new go to spot. As a native of Woodinville, the home of Redhook, I am impressed with this business. Way to go! read more

Stopped by for the pre-opening party and I have to say I think this place is going to take off in Capitol Hill. They turned the old BMW showroom into an awesome industrial brew hall. All the beers are great and just slightly different from one you've tried before- they have a ton of collabs with other breweries in the area. The food is like your favorite bar food with some boujee and spiced up, so delicious! They have really good brussel sprout pizza and their vegan pizza is really good. Also the muscles, YUM. My favorite beers were their Hot Legs collab Scottish Ale with Naked City Brewing, and the Triple Blonde! read more

Got to stop in for friends and family to test the place out. What a nice spot! Two different outdoor patios, friendly staff, all new Redhook beers which were super fun. They also have cider and wine, and nice tasty snacks! We had the delicious sliders and the procutto pie. They have shuffleboard in the back and two separate bars with an open kitchen in between. Wish this place had been open all summer, but looking forward to going back and enjoying it once it's really open! read more

Exemplary experimental brewhouse with collaborative forays into local establishments. Bar snacks are varied and designed to complement the beverages. Very spacious, yet the acoustics don't overwhelm. Anybody familiar with Redhook's brewery/restaurant up in Woodinville should expect great beer, great atmosphere, great service, and good food, and the Brewlab doesn't disappoint. This definitely feels (and smells) like a working brewery, but the double-high ceilings, wood finishings, and modern aesthetics feel very chic. Two large bars and plenty of seating to imbibe Redhook's beers, which are some of my favorite in the PNW. Servers and bartenders are friendly and professional, and don't seem to have much a problem weathering a slam of customers. Their kitchen is also using a lot of great local ingredients; on walking in early I saw trays full of oyster mushrooms being prepped for the dinner rush. The focus of their kitchen is their stone oven, which puts out some of the best-tasting pizza in the city. And herein lies my only real criticism: the pizza *tastes* great, but it doesn't work real well texturally and functionally. The Brewlab does the same thing a ton of high-ambition American pizzerias do: try to marry a thin Neapolitan-style crust with the American preference for a big heaping pile of sauce, cheese, and toppings. I've never seen this work, ever. Invariably, the thin, fast-cooking crust (which Brewlab does quite well, in comparison), can't stand up to the weight of toppings. Not only does a slice pretty much need to be eaten with a knife and fork, but the added moisture from so much in the way of toppings makes the crust soggy, especially towards the center of the pizza. And with a fast-cooking high-protein crust, certain toppings don't have enough time to really cook before the crust might burn. Those yummy oyster mushrooms I saw? Well on my pizza, they were undercooked, chewy, and very difficult to bite through. I ended up picking them off and eating them separately. For what it's worth, if the pizza hadn't been close to touching perfection, I wouldn't be making such a specific critique. read more

Great beer selection and reasonably good food. Nice Ambience, including outdoor seating front and back.

Spuds were amazing. Hold on to them like Madonna tries to hold on to her relevancy. Sever was super helpful and thoroughly enjoyable.

Huge and really huge. Great location. Beer is ok, but better than Optimism. Though that's a very low bar.

Nice place. Comfortable and friendly, overall. I had a caramel machiatto beer that wasn't terribly flavorful or enjoyable. It's just one beer out of many they offer. They have a lot of "outside the box" kind of beers but in my experience, the beer just didn't do much for me. read more
