The beer selection is great, but unfortunately the food was meh. The beers are different than Redhook's Woodinville location and more experimental. Definitely enjoyed those! For food we tried the Brussels sprouts and the sausage pizza. The sprouts were a bit soggy, while the pizza was overall heavy without much balanced flavor. We wouldn't order either again. Overall we would still go back for a good beer but probably skip dinner. read more

Huge space! This place has good beer, and a fun atmosphere. The bartenders we nice, but it's weird that everything is bar-service so you have to pay before you even get your food. We had a plain cheese pizza which was decent, albeit the saltiest pizza I think I've had at a bar. Overall a good place, and a very unique style. Can't compare to the glory of the Woodinville palatial estate, but a great place to reminisce over the good ol days. A unique menu and all the great brews, a sample size of the merch shop and a fun location in Cap Hill. Good beer, loved the cauliflower, truly terrible service. Keep in mind, it was a not-terribly-busy Thursday night. Nonetheless, I was treated like the enemy the entire time. After being told that the bartender would be around to take my order, I waited 20 minutes to find out he was never coming over. Then, when I approached the bar I received three excuses why I was "just going to have to wait" before I was given the opportunity to order beers. My first attempt to order food was just ignored, and the second time I received a head nod toward the menu and a golf pencil. Of course, I was sniped at when I assumed I was supposed to mark what I wanted on the menu (a not unreasonable assumption on a paper menu). Then, I was condescended to for not understanding that I could only pay for two beers at a time (I was trying to order 3). When I offered to do two orders, I received a huffy "just give me the card" and my order was rung up. And some version of this dance took place every time I or anyone in my party tried to order anything (we went a total of 3 rounds over 3 hours). And to cap it all off, the bartender yelled at us on the way out like he was trying to pick a fight. It was an awful experience. I'll never go back. read more

It's really a shame I live right above this place but probably will never come come back. Came here and had a beer and some food. Me n my husband ordered the pizza some cheese fries, and edamame. They didn't really have too many vegetarian options. The pizza was frozen pizza quality. It lacked any flavor. It was pretty bad. This place is great! We probably go here a few times a month. The food and beer are both good. Their beer is on the more safe side, but there is something for everybody. They usually have a fairly wide spread from IPAs, to Pilsner, to stouts and everything in between. Also, the bartenders are very nice as well! Even when they are really busy, they find time to say hi. The space is really large. There is patios in both the front and back, there are bars in both the front and back and a small room that is tucked away in the back that has shuffle board. It was fairly bustling inside, but not so much so that it was uncomfortable. The bartender that served us was polite and the beer did not disappoint. (The Dark Patterns porter was phenomenal.) Redhook Brewlab is an excellent pub & cafe concept. Not sure if "cafe" is the right term, as they do serve food but not a wide selection. What they do offer is simply amazing. Just happened to stumble into the brewery what caught our attention was the petting zoo and the coloring project that was going on. Beer was great atmosphere was perfect for a laid back Sunday. This is a nice big space with outdoor seating options. There's a fire pit in the back. There's a couple bar areas with TVs nearby. A lot of folks come here to watch the Seahawks game, so it will get pretty packed. We snacked on their pretzel bread and their loaded veggie pizza. I tried a couple beers that were wheat or ale based. The majority of the rest on the menu were IPAs. Overall, a legit gastropub great for groups, unique beers, and decent bar food. read more

The manager is lovely and made it right when our food order came out wrong, the bussers were nice and attentive, but our interactions with both servers was some of the most abysmal service I've received in Seattle. The male server REFUSED to bring us more napkins when we politely requested for our WINGS order "I see you have plenty." (We did not.) Female server was brusque and when we accidentally asked her to clear an empty plate she barked "that's a busser's job." and walked away. There is no real indication who is a busser and who is a server so it was an honest mistake. The manager deserves a better staff and I will hesitate to take my business back here at these prices. I can get friendlier service pretty much anywhere on the Hill and that's saying something. read more

We had a pretty large group come in a few weeks ago for a friends birthday. I never thought my group was loud or obnoxious at any point in time but they acted like we were. They also don't have pitchers and the one drink that I wanted was out of stock already. It wasn't even that late...how can you run out so fast? There was no indication that you need to order before you get a table. So the whole place is essentially open seating. Stopped by for the pre-opening party and I have to say I think this place is going to take off in Capitol Hill. They turned the old BMW showroom into an awesome industrial brew hall. All the beers are great and just slightly different from one you've tried before- they have a ton of collabs with other breweries in the area. The food is like your favorite bar food with some boujee and spiced up, so delicious! They have really good brussel sprout pizza and their vegan pizza is really good. Also the muscles, YUM. My favorite beers were their Hot Legs collab Scottish Ale with Naked City Brewing, and the Triple Blonde! read more

Anybody familiar with Redhook's brewery/restaurant up in Woodinville should expect great beer, great atmosphere, great service, and good food, and the Brewlab doesn't disappoint. This definitely feels (and smells) like a working brewery, but the double-high ceilings, wood finishings, and modern aesthetics feel very chic. Two large bars and plenty of seating to imbibe Redhook's beers, which are some of my favorite in the PNW. Servers and bartenders are friendly and professional, and don't seem to have much a problem weathering a slam of customers. Their kitchen is also using a lot of great local ingredients; on walking in early I saw trays full of oyster mushrooms being prepped for the dinner rush. The focus of their kitchen is their stone oven, which puts out some of the best-tasting pizza in the city. And herein lies my only real criticism: the pizza *tastes* great, but it doesn't work real well texturally and functionally. The Brewlab does the same thing a ton of high-ambition American pizzerias do: try to marry a thin Neapolitan-style crust with the American preference for a big heaping pile of sauce, cheese, and toppings. I've never seen this work, ever. Invariably, the thin, fast-cooking crust (which Brewlab does quite well, in comparison), can't stand up to the weight of toppings. Not only does a slice pretty much need to be eaten with a knife and fork, but the added moisture from so much in the way of toppings makes the crust soggy, especially towards the center of the pizza. And with a fast-cooking high-protein crust, certain toppings don't have enough time to really cook before the crust might burn. Those yummy oyster mushrooms I saw? Well on my pizza, they were undercooked, chewy, and very difficult to bite through. I ended up picking them off and eating them separately. For what it's worth, if the pizza hadn't been close to touching perfection, I wouldn't be making such a specific critique. read more
