I went to this place to buy propane and they totally gouged me. It was $3.29 a gallon. After I left I thought it seemed a little high, so I called Spirit in Hemet and propane was $1.89 a gallon. The price difference was$65 compared to $30. I've never had then work on my vehicle, but they're not the place to buy propane. read more

Went in for a smog check. I knew, before hand, I may have trouble getting it smoged. Yep, the engine needed some work to include the clutch. The folks at the Redhawk auto service told me the problem or problems related to the engine. It did take a few days to get it fixed, the car is a 2007, but along the way, the mechanic fixing my car was very up front, I felt honest, and professional. I am a return customer and I have not had any problems with customer service or work preformed. read more

I took my husbands car in to get the gears aligned and the Technician had found to only have been a loose bolt. I was expecting to pay at least a 1 hour service charge and he didn't charge me anything! I was so dumbfounded as this has never happened to us let alone ever heard of a mechanic not charging for his time...wowzers. So we tipped the Technician $20! I just moved my family to Temecula from Virginia. Part of this very involved process was getting our cars smogged for California registration. Nick took care of my wife's vehicle promptly, and was notably courteous and professional. A few days later they took care of my car, in the same manner. I brought my car in yesterday to get the oil changed, and even though they were busy they got me in and out in less than 45 minutes. Impressive. As he was ringing me up for the oil change, Noy let me know that the service tech who took care of my car made copious notes about the car, and made it clear that the front and rear pads were really low, and that the rotors would need to be faced. This was not surprising, as I had noted a bit of shimmy during braking over the past week. Well, it turns out that my rotors were pretty much rusted through. I am fairly certain it is because of the horrible winter conditions in Virginia, and the anti-ice salt and chemicals strewn onto the roads. Noy didn't *insist*, but he made a strong suggestion that I get the brakes fixed. My car is getting worked on as I type this. They worked with me to make sure this work was done tonight, so that I have a safe vehicle for my morning commute. They have found a new set of loyal customers in us. read more

I made an appointment and brought my car in for brake lights out and check for needed service. Well, after they called me and told me some stuff I finally approved the brake lights. 5 hours later, no call. I call and car not done. Finally go to pick up and guess what, no brake lights replaced. Instead they replaced my license plate bulb and turn signal, ok great, but my brake light is out. They told me brake light wasn't out so I go home. Guess what, got stopped by a cop with, wait for it, brake light out. Ended up at Sears for them to replace the brake light bulb and it only took 10 minutes. To top it all off, I asked them to add coolant since they said it was low. I was told they added 1/2 gallon of coolant, for free. That should have rung a bell, because I had Sears show me that no coolant was added, it was at the same level that I looked at it in the shop. Even called to re confirm coolant was added, none was added. Never again will I go back. read more

I just moved to the area and needed to get oil change on my Jeep. I googled for that and found the closest one from my place. Once l got there l asked oil change and tire rotation and they did free inspection found out the rear brake and rotar needed to be replaced. Since l took a lot of long trips that made a sense. Very unsatisfied my vehicle didn't pass smog because of a new battery put in which they did not asked me if I had any work done until after the service was done ! they charge me $41.70 and to have it re-smog they're going to charge me again $41.70 I have bought my other three vehicles in and two out of those three didn't pass and they never charge me a second time New policy people be careful!!! It's very hard to find good mechanic theses days for auto service any where but I believe Redhawk is among the top Auto Service businesses. That is why I just brought my Daughters Toyota Truck to them with a brake problem and servicing. They were able to fix the brake problem under their quoted price and gave me a list of suggested servicing needs for her truck, I drove away knowing my Daughter will be much safer on the road. I took my car to get it smogged here and I failed. They wouldn't tell me why and made me pay. They said to "drive 75 miles and come back to reset the sensors." This is after I had put 650 miles on it from commuting to school. I went to Roberts smog shop on Jefferson and he's a privately owned authentic guy and I passed first try. He said that they disconnect your battery to throw your sensors off and make you pay to have it smogged twice. Not to mention they were all mean! read more

I made an appointment for a smog check here and then when I went in at my appointment time, they told me it would be a 1-2 hour wait and they couldn't guarantee they would get it done the same day. What's the point of making an appointment then? They didn't even care about the inconvenience it was to me. It seemed they had so much business that they could care less. I have never had work done at this facility, however I had a battery go bad right outside his bay door as 7-11 gas station is there and I was getting gasoline.. The battery was under warranty from AAA so asked him for a jump so I could drive to a AAA towing lot and get a new battery under warranty. He told me he would not do that as he was there to make money. I told him that I would have to call AAA and they would have to come out and jump my battery and then I would have to go to their site to get a new battery. He could have cared less. I called AAA and they came and jumped the battery and I went to their shop and got a new battery under warranty. I had wondered how Redhawk would be at a simple oil changes etc. I guess I will never find out as I would never take a vehicle to that rude SOB. I owned my own business for 30 years and never once treated a customer that way. I was a contractor and had two retail stores. It is a disgrace for a business man to treat people that way. I had an electrical issue with my wife's car. I called Redhawk auto on a Saturday and explained the issue. Alex was very nice and let me know how they would diagnose the issue. He said "90% of the time" we find out the problem with the initial diagnosis. My wife drop the car off on Monday. Monday afternoon i get a call from Alex telling they need another $130 diagnosis because they think it is the body control module "BCM". Tuesday they call me and tell me the BCM is bad and they need to order a new one from Hyundai. I aaked how much for all the work required, they tell me $1,400. I ask how much Hyundai is asking for the part Alex tells me $500. I had done some internet research after my conversation with them on Monday and knew I had other repair options available including buying a used BCM or sending mine out to get repaired. I asked for details about what Was included in the $1400, it turns out they were going to charge me $200 to program the BCM even though it comes programmed from the factory and they were going to charge me over $400 for the install which they "accidentally" doubled the number of hours for the install. So they charge me $850 and get the work done. I still had a anxiety because of the multiple mistakes and misleading statements. I asked them for the part receipt from Hyundai. They said that is confidential. Turns out they lied to me when i asked them specifically how much Hyundai wanted for the part. I found it on a hyundai dealer website for $270 retail. Redhawk probably paid less than that wholesale, then turned around and charged me over $500. I understand mechanics mark up parts, but special order parts, that i offered to order, shouldn't have a 100% markup. They also lied. Dont trust Sean, the manager. He is very shady and unprofessional. read more

In 2015 we came here for our trucks oil change we were offered a lifetime alignment plan. Truck is used to pull a trailer and a boat so we figured it was a good idea. We did the oil change and alignment but when we got home oil was leaking on the filter because they forgot to insert an o ring and oil was all over our garage floor so we informed them no big deal at that time. After a few times the service guy that we used to go to was no longer there and there is always an issue from then on. Now they say they never had any lifetime alignment plan, it went to the point of having to talk to the owner. Granted in the end we received the rest of the moneyok back, the point is now we don't have an alignment plan and they even said they could not do that in their shop for the size of the truck. Finally I have found a mechanic I feel like I can trust!! I took my car in because I had a large oily leak in my driveway and was worried something was seriously wrong. Service Manager, Michael Petric, assured me that he would figure it out. As I was waiting to hear I was sure I was going to be told my 2004 minivan with 140,000 miles was in need of many repairs to stop the "leak". He explained that when I had all the hoses replaced at the other mechanic they didn't tighten the clamp properly & the hose was leaking radiator fluid all over so they simply tightened the clamp and replaced all the radiator fluid that was lost and told me the "problem" I was worried about was fixed and even better they didn't charge me anything!! I was so impressed with the quality of service and attention to detail I will for sure be a customer for all my future mechanical needs and maintenance!! On 4/17/2013 I brought my car to Redhawk Automotive. I was greeted kindly by a gentleman named Mike. I let him know the issues I have been having with my car as-well-as I gave him a few items that I needed to be done. (Oil change and air filter) After talking with Mike for a little while he brought in one of the shop mechanics named Scott. Together all three of us discussed my concerns with my car. Scott took a look at my car and immediately was able to diagnose what was causing my car to slowly accelerate. While Scott working on the engine to address the acceleration issue, he also noticed a potential issue with the cooling system. If Scott hadn't noticed it, my car may have overheated in the near future and that would have caused engine damage. Mike explained the issue to me, how it could affect the car, and what was needed to fix it. I am really thankful for the knowledge, professionalism and courteousness these two possess. I also appreciate the fact the prices were reasonable and the work on my car was done in a timely manner. I will be recommending this shop to my friends and colleagues. My car definitely runs a lot smoother than it did when I brought it in and they likely saved me a blown engine in the future. read more

I took my truck for a smog check and when i got back there to pick it up, the Manager started giving me some crap about how he did me a big favor by smogging my truck instead of failing it because it was missing the correct sticker for the after market air cleaner . I never had a problem with this before i took my truck to these guys. And if its wrong i don't have a problem with that , but he was very rude and just wanted to argue with me like a jerk . Michael is no longer at this location. Since Michael left, I've gotten my oil changed there about 5-6 more times. It's MUCH MORE DISORGANIZED and things take a VERY LONG TIME to complete. There's also a greater feeling of pressure sales. The new manager must have gone to the school that teaches "Sell Serpentine Belts". I flat out told them to stop trying to sell me a new serpentine belt every time I go in. Also, they have been trying to re-sell me service that they've already performed on my car. IE - them - "you need to replace XYZ." me - "your company already replaced it last year before you got here, just look at the service record." them - "oh, I'm just going off the manufacturer's guidelines." me - "the guidelines say to do it about 20,000 miles ago, and I did, at this location, last year, which ironically was about 20,000 miles ago." I will not return to this location now. I get the feeling that I'm being sold things which are not necessary and I am having a hard time trusting them. Slow. Unorganized. Impolite. read more

Josh was great...he even told me how to save time getting my plates from AAA instead of the DMV...his prices are very reasonable...I was even given a ride back to my house then picked up when my car was done by Shane.
