I visited Reddz on a Saturday rainy afternoon and there was no line. I was assisted right away and it took about 10 min. Super easy. They took 4 things out of 20... Lululemon large yoga/gym bag, Lululemon full zip sweatshirt, Uniqlo linen pants, and J Crew linen button down. They only take items for the next season so check on their site before you go. $55 in store credit $32 cash. The store carries a lot of Zara and European looking styles. They also have luxury brands. read more

Came here with my sister to thrift and we found such great pieces!!! They have plenty of fitting rooms so there wasn't any lines to wait in. I ended up getting these stunning good quality wide leg jeans and some kitten heels and the prices weren't bad at all!! read more

Their website says they will accept items until 3:45. I called twice to make sure they were still accepting items. They didn't answer the phone either time. I loaded up a box with purses, shoes and clothes making sure I only had the 20 item maximum. I carried the box - big and heavy - 2 blocks because there's never parking and arrived at 3:15. I was told they were no longer accepting items for the day. Its inexcusable. All they needed to do was answer their phone and say they are not accepting any more items for the day. I cam to Reddz as a shopper (not selling any clothes). There are some nice things to buy and some are reasonably priced. I did buy a dress. When I was trying some items on, I was in one dressing room that was so dirty with a few small hooks on the wall. Dirt dust bunnies on the floor of the room - small with no small stool or good places to hang your items. Rather pitiful set up. At least a basic cleaning would be expected. Two pairs of pants that I tried on had zipper issues: one zipper was detached at the bottom - ripped from the pant fabric and the other's zipper was just broken, each piece detached from one another. I was not interested in the fit but most certainly not when they did not zip. I gave those two pieces to someone working in the back of the store and she could not have been more dismissive. Practically scolding me for pointing out the issues. I thought they should know so they could mark the flaws for customers with a discounted price or take off the floor entirely. If you choose to shop here, please do look over items you are interested in for flaws since they do not seem to care if you are unknowingly stuck with them. read more

Ok, thank goodness Georgetown still has a second hand/thrift/consignment shop to off-set the ridiculously trendy, corporate, and expensive shopping options in G-town. The stores layout is great, with shoes in the front and designer bags on the back (I always shop back to front of store), and clothes everywhere between. The designer bags were nicely displayed in a cases. There were definitely done clothing items that were damaged to the degree that they should not have been on the floor, but I found 3 nice linen pieces ready for the hot months ahead. One suggestion is that there should be some sort of infuser with a mild fragrance to offset the smell of unlaundered second hand clothes. Other than that, I will definitely be back because they had done great brands for super discounted prices! read more

The star is for the merchandise, this store has good stuff! However, two things happened during my shop today which make me hesitant to revisit: 1. A man opened my dressing room curtain while I was changing. By accident, I hope. The fitting rooms do not offer much privacy and they are not monitored. I shrieked and nobody noticed, and the guy closed the curtain and walked away. 2. When I went to check out, after waiting, the woman at the cash register rolled her eyes, said she wasn't checking out customers, and told me to go to another desk. This location like the Bethesda Maryland location is unorganized and random. I went in to sell a brand new pair of Christian Louboutin and they offered me $100 even though a brand new pair never been worn shoes run $1,200. At least they could have attempted to be fair in pricing but seemed to be snarky, upitty and belittling. I ended up taking them to a consignment and though I had to wait to find a buyer I waited and got $900 and I am so glad I did not use this place. read more

Honestly I had a great experience here but I also have a lower bar for consignment stores since I don't typically sell to them that often. I came here just as a shopper and walked away with many quality items (a couple were even new with tags) for under $300 with pieces from brands like Sandro, Maje, and Reiss. That said you definitely have to do some digging and devote time to finding items but you can still get a good deal. read more

Cool store, the stuff is a bit pricey but sort of expected for DC, especially Georgetown. I saw some cute pieces but honestly the gripe I had was everything seemed to be in smaller sizes, like 6 and under, and nothing for us midsize girls. First off, I would like to say that I am a fan of thrifting and find joy and pleasure in searching for really cool clothing items. This store is so organized! It made it so easy for me to find my size and they had different sections for jackets, pants, blouses, and simple athletic wear! I was feeling in a thrifty mood so I went with my sister on a Sunday evening. I was pleasantly surprised at all my finds, but I feel like prices are a bit high here compared to thrift stores I've been to in the Northern VA suburban area. Might be because of its more boutique with designer products? And the location being in Georgetowne? Regardless, I left with items I know I will wear on a regular basis and that have become essentials to my closet! Can't wait to come back and see what else they have in stories! During a rare visit to Georgetown to go shopping for new eyeglasses, I randomly decided to see what consignment shops were in the area. I was pleasantly surprised to find a Reddz Trading within walking distance nearby, as I have had good luck with the Bethesda store location in the past. So I decided to pop in on a whim, not half expecting to find anything really but just to browse their selection. Well .... the stars were aligned for my visit that day because they had a quilted Chanel bag just like the one I wanted in the store that very day. (In fact, I had just mentioned to a friend days earlier that I was on the hunt for one!) And lo and behold, there I was face-to-face with one that was gorgeous lambskin leather and not too big or long for my petite frame! It was unbelievable! It was like this bag was made and waiting just for me! Admittedly, I hesitated at the price. It was more than any personal item I've ever bought for myself! Still though, it was substantially less than similar bags selling online at TheRealReal and Fashionphile -- and I thought the price was fair given that it was nearly pristine on the outside but had a slightly weird smell inside, a few minor hidden scratches on the interior, and was missing the original authentication card (though it did come with the Entrupy authentication guarantee instead). I was torn on what to do, but I felt like I'd always regret not getting this bag at such a good price while I had the chance. So I took a deep breath and channeled Tom and Donna's admonition to "treat yo'self" -- and decided to use my recent work bonus to buy this bag! When I decided to purchase it, it seemed like the staff was genuinely happy for me too! It is such a gorgeous bag -- and one of the associates packed it with care for me in a Chanel dust bag and box (both of which I think were made for shoes but I still gladly took them). So I walked out that day positively beaming as the proud new owner of a gorgeous luxury bag -- which is now the most expensive thing I own besides essentials like my house, car, and education! So I give this visit a full 5 stars, though I didn't find anything clothing-wise worth looking at here. I think the Bethesda shop has better clothing options overall. But this Georgetown location really knocked it our of the park when it comes to handbags and accessories! read more

Went to try this place out. It was a horrible experience, mainly because of the "manager" by the name of Topez who was so unhelpful. I had a couple of questions that the staff told me I needed to ask the manager about. Topez was sitting down on her phone, did not want to help, was very short and was very rude! I had a bunch of things that I was going to buy but put everything down because of how rude and unmotivated the staff was! It's sad because it's a nice store but manager is horrible. read more

I struggled with posting this review because I wasn't sure if it was worth doing, but I have to. I went in to this store on a Saturday afternoon and uncomfortably walked right back out literally two minutes later. The staff there is so rude and and seemingly prejudice and act as if they feel they are above everyone. I wanted to sell/consign some of my pieces from last year because it is one of the few places in the area that consigns mens high-end designer clothing. I came in with my bag of clothing and decided to look around before approaching the counter where two employees, a guy with color damaged hair and a girl wearing a synthetic wig, were already giving me dirty looks. I ignored their looks and went to peek at the mens section but didn't see much so I made my way back to the counter. I approached the counter and both of them continued to look at me crazily and didn't speak, so I decided to speak first only for the guy to give me a once over and a dry "hello" and the woman rolled her eyes. I didn't say anything else, I picked up my bag and walked straight out. The employees are a little too pretentious for it to be a second-hand shop, I receive better service at Saks wearing sweats. I understand that I have an "urban" appearance (braids, tattoos, nose piercing) however I was dressed nicely (Kenzo Tee, Amiri Jeans, Dior sneakers) and even if I wasn't, the employees shouldn't pass judgement. I had never been to that shop before and will NEVER visit again. The blatant rudeness and discrimination was too much for me. read more

Let me first say, when I lived in Bethesda, I went to the Reddz there all the time and had great experiences selling and buying. However,I stopped in to Reddz Georgetown last night to try and sell two NWT, never worn Lululemon items. When I walked in and stood at the counter, the woman who helped me looked like I had just inconvenienced her by entering the store. She then told me that they don't take these types of items and when I asked why not -- really just trying to get what items they DO take -- she was very rude. And then she called another colleague over to tell me the same thing. I put my items away and walked around the store perusing for awhile and I kept getting dirty looks. The attitude was just not necessary at all! And reminder Reddz employees, you are a consignment shop selling used clothing - drop the obnoxious pretense. read more

This store is in my neighborhood and so far I have attempted to sell a few of my items with them. I have never consigned before so I wasn't aware of the drill. I had a few dresses from J.Crew and 1 from Banana as was turned away. A silk skirt had a little mark on it and it was rejected. I get it. They offered me 6 dollars for one of my dresses and my jaw dropped. I took my things and left. I would rather give my things away. On my second attempt, I had a cute RL Denim and Supply dress NWT, literally still in the plastic bag. It is cream, and a winter dress. The guy at the front told me that they wouldn't accept it because it was a Spring item, which is not the case. "You're not accepting an item NWT??!!" I felt humiliated took a quit look around the store and seriously it's nothing special. There product is over priced. I would rather shop sale at Neiman's or Bloomingdales. I have a bunch of things at the cleaners right now that I would like to sell, dresses from Barneys, Juicy, etc. but I think I'll go elsewhere. read more

I'm writing this review because I have never come across such lovely Buyers in a shop EVER. I always get attitude but not this time. Thank you Topay and Bridgette. They were so professional, so kind and so friendly. I would say if you are going to sell your items to give yourself atleast an hour and half is the estimated wait time. I took three of my most precious LV handbags. I find it crazy that the shops makes more than I do. I would not suggest it. The shop is making $1200 while I made $500. The shop owner should reconsider another line of work this is so uncouth. But the Buyers are BEAUTIFUL!!!!! I will go there just to see them!!!. Create a SPACE where no ONE PROFITS OFF OF you especially a white women. read more

I would just like to warn people about something that happened to me at this store. I went into a dressing room and put my stuff down. Just as I was about to start changing, a male-presenting employee pulled the curtain wide open. I yelped and he said "oh I thought they were all empty right now, that was a mistake." He did not apologize or acknowledge it any further. I left my items behind and left the store quickly. There is another review from two months ago by Emily M. saying basically the same thing happened to them. If Reddz has a male employee who goes around opening the curtains to the dressing rooms they need to do something about it. It doesn't seem like anyone is monitoring the changing rooms. read more

Sh*tty customer service Came to this location and found a couple of jackets I liked and wanted to purchase. With the jackets LITERALLY in my hand they tell me that the jackets can't be sold to me because they were sold to a preferred reseller customer. I understand consignment stores hold things for preferred customers but for the items in question to be in my hands and then for you to tell me they can't be sold left a bad taste in my mouth. For all future customers: If you see something you like, make sure you ask if it isn't already sold to a "preferred reseller customer" to save you the dissapointment and time you spent looking through the clothes at Reddz. read more

This place has great finds! I've purchased a nude Chanel with tags on them and the dust bag. As well as a black Chanel dress like two days ago! I truly love coming here because it's a fun consignment store! And prices usually seem more than fair! They take the condition of items into consideration! The staff has also always been beyond complimentary and helpful! I recommend a pop in if you're ever having a girls day in Georgetown. read more

Never ever ever go to this place to trade your clothes. I took all of my clothes which consisted of 2 bags which were all J. Crew clothes barely worn and they too three pieces which 2 were J. Crew and one was a polo dress skirt. For those three pieces they gave me only 21.00 and some change. That place is trash and the clothes that were there looked horrible, I think my clothes would have sold quicker then some of that other stuff. 3 pieces of clothing one a great Ralph Lauren skirt silk at that for 21.00. I am writing to report an extremely unpleasant experience I had in the Georgetown location. I have been a client of Reddz since 2016 and visit the store at least twice a month. Unfortunately, I went to the store today to check the President's day sale and I was very badly treated, in a way that I have never seen before. The employee (who is a tall bald guy) yelled at me in a loud voice in front of all other customers, which got totally shocked and so did I. My mother was with me and she even cried for seeing such an unbelievable scene happening in the middle of the store. The manager and another employee witnessed everything although they did not react to stop him behaving in such an offensive way. Everything started because I was told that a designer bag I would like to buy was a price and a few minutes later they decided to take it from my hands to double check it. While the guy was checking he was very rude with me, I complained to him about it and then The situation rapidly escalated into a crisis. I am feeling very offended, insulted and scandalized about this treatment that the store gave to me. read more

First- it smells like feet in that place... I had some amazing Alexander McQueen 2017 runway, YSL from the late 2000s, Brunello Cucinelli, and Valentino runway pieces from a few years ago. All of it was in great condition and very flattering styles, but I wore a larger size at the time. When I went into consign these pieces, Wendy Red, the owner, told her employee to not accept my clothes because it was too large to sell. She thought her whisper was soft enough... NOPE! Nice assortment of mostly high quality clothes at great prices (joie, Vince and some lower stuff like Zara and banana). If you like Current boutique you'll like this place. It's cheaper than Current. I think you get more bang for your buck going for originally expensive items because the sale price at a place like banana is probably the same as the used piece you're about to buy. read more

I do not like leaving reviews like this...I just need to do this though to save others the trouble. I called the store before I came and described, in detail, the jacket I had (a pristine, premium label trench). The woman on the phone said she would accept it. So, I went to the store. When I got there, the woman was not there and instead, a very rude man with a horrific attitude was behind the desk. I stood there waiting for him to acknowledge my presence (I was the only one in the store) for minutes. He kept talking to another guy and was ignoring me. They were, in full voice, complaining about working at the store, working in retail and badmouthing the city as a whole. It was so awkward! Then, he turned to me, asked what I wanted, again rudely. I said I wanted to consign the jacket. He barely look at it and rejected it. I said the woman had accepted it. He spat back at me, verbatim, "well, you can go talk to her then. I don't like this jacket and I have my own criteria." It was so aggressive and odd. I've never even been in the shop and couldn't believe how he spoke to me. I turned and walked out, walked up the street to the opportunity shop and donated my jacket there. Don't go to this shop, the staff, this man particularly, is rude and just awful to deal with - truly! read more

Every time you come in, you have to fill out the same form. What is the point of filling it out? Can't they use your first one and put it into their systems so you don't have to keep doing it every time? Then when you do, they take 30 seconds to look at your entire bag of clothes that has all the brands you see around the store (and way more up to date) and they (especially the stuck up guys who look like they have chip on their shoulders from high school) say they aren't taking anything. You would think the store is filled with a plethora of great stuff but it honestly looks like it's been curated by a blind person with ZERO tastes who just goes off of which over priced designer he knows. I sold with them once and got store credit thinking it was the best deal and that I'd actually be able to use it. No! All the stuff looks like from a garage sale from 25 years ago. The people there are so unfriendly and stuck up. News flash guys, you're not some shop on 5th Avenue or in Milan. You're in Georgetown. Humble yourself. If you've ever seen the show, "Catfish" then you'll understand what I mean when I say that this store is a total catfish. After following them on Instagram for sometime and seeing great merchandise being sold, I told my friends that we had to go there. We were all excited to go based on the amazing merchandise and great prices on their instagram, but that excitement fizzled as soon as we walked in the door. We weren't greeted when we walked in or spoken to at all really, it smelled like a musty old goodwill, and the quality of merchandise on their Instagram was nothing like we found in store. Aside from a very cute gucci belt bag, nothing else was like the high end designer things they post. Very disappointing and as a person who would never buy a non-returnable item without seeing it in person I will be unfollowing the catfish page. read more

Staff was very nice and offered to help if we needed. I had been following them on instagram and was so excited to shop here when I visited DC. I ended up getting a super cute gold blazer for only $25, but I was positive I was going to leave with a LOT more. A lot of the items were very worn/ripped/stained, and I know this is consignment but I have a hard time paying that much money for something damaged. I also did not feel like they had a very good sizing range. There were a lot of either xxs or xxL. Not a real selection of the 6-8 sizing. I was also super looking forward to the shoes and I unfortunately was unimpressed. I know it is hit or miss, but after seeing all the wonderful things they post all the time I was expecting to leave with more. Again, it's probably better if you live here or are able to go frequently but just wasn't the best night for my visit! read more

I recently sold - or better, tried to sell - a bag of clothes here. the clothes were in like new condition, and I'm realistic the money part (low: 1/4 of what they can sell it for, which I think is 1/2 of the total new). The woman assessing the clothes kindly let me do it the same day, as I inadvertently made an appointment (otherwise required) for the following week. However, she then tried to claim that my items weren't from fancy-enough brands - specifically she said that they don't buy from the brand I had because it wasnt high end enough - when in fact I had previously sold sweaters from that same exact brand to this store. She then bought one of my items from a much cheaper and mass-market brand. I tend not to trust someone when they aren't honest about basic things: she could have just said she didn't like the items, etc., and based on that I won't be back. read more

Going to make this VERY long story as short as possible. First off, do not shop here. They are incredibly unprofessional and unorganized. The owner hires young girls who do not know what they are buying or selling. I brought in an authentic Louis Vuitton cross body bag several months ago. A black girl there told me it was fake because she couldn't find the date imprint on the inside. When I showed it to her, along with the receipt of purchase, she quickly backtracked and apologized. They bought the bag for a ridiculously low amount, I might add. I then saw them selling it online for quadruple what they bought it from me for. Yes FOUR TIMES. Next, I went into Reddz on a Sunday with several items, one being a Burberry jacket. The young lady there, Iesha (however you spell it) bought my jacket, along with a few other items. In total I got $120 for a Burberry jacket NEVER worn from a year ago, two other jackets and a dress. I thought whatever about it. I deposited the check. My mistake, I should have cashed it. Hours later Iesha calls me about the jacket and tells me the jacket isn't authentic. She then proceeds to tell me (all on voicemail by the way) that the check will be stopped. I call back and tell them I have the receipt but after getting that for a voicemail and realizing how much they low balled me, why would I want to continue to do business with them? So I went back in to pick up my jacket and to be paid out for my other items. Reddz gave me $20 for two jackets, worth over $200 EACH, and a Cache dress. The owner Wendy tried to make nice by giving me a $50 gift card. Why give me a gift card? Why not give me the cash I deserve for my items? To top this all off, since they canceled the check, Wells Fargo charged me $12. I'm just wondering. Why am I being charged $12 for a check THEY stopped? Moral of the story: DO NOT SHOP HERE. And if you do, CASH the check immediately, don't deposit it. read more

Nice items but the service is just awful. Plus it's not enjoyable to shop in an "upscale" boutique when they are playing gangster rap and dropping the f bomb. I thanked the woman when she was done sorting through my items, and she did not respond. I wasn't even sure if she was finished, until I saw her take out her foundation and foundation brush to start doing her make up. Shockingly disappointing service. Will not be back. read more
