Then it was probably another 40 minutes before we actually got our food. I'm not sure if it was this lag time that affected the food quality, but several of my items were just lukewarm and some even cold? The star of the show was definitely, the molcajete. This came out sizzling and full to the brim with shrimp, nopales, chicken, asada, cheese, and lots of other goodies. In hindsight, I probably should've ordered one for myself. I went with the chicken mole enchiladas. Again, the sauce was okay but not super spicy, and it was a little cold, as was my side of rice and beans. We also ordered the mini birria chimis to share. and these were just OK, they tasted like frozen food. I genuinely cannot say enough good things about our experience, and a huge part of that was thanks to our amazing server, Bella! From the moment she approached our table, she was incredibly polite, welcoming, and attentive. She immediately made us feel comfortable and set the tone for what turned out to be an unforgettable dining experience. We started off by ordering espresso martinis, and Bella kindly informed us that we had the option of choosing between vodka or tequila. Being the indecisive people we are, we had absolutely no idea which one to pick. Thankfully, Bella was able to help and patiently explained the differences between the two, describing the flavors and helping us decide which would best suit our preferences. Her knowledge, patience, and willingness to go the extra mile were truly impressive. Not once did we feel rushed or pressured into making a decision. Throughout our entire meal, Bella demonstrated impeccable timing. It was almost as if she had a sixth sense for knowing exactly when we needed something! She checked in at all the right moments, made sure our drinks were taken care of, and consistently asked whether we had any questions about the menu or needed recommendations. She managed to be attentive without ever being overbearing, which is honestly an art form in itself. And can we talk about the FOOD?! Absolutely phenomenal! Everything was delicious, beautifully prepared, and exceeded our expectations. A huge shoutout to the kitchen and the talented cook because they absolutely knocked it out of the park. Between the incredible food and Bella's outstanding hospitality, we were genuinely having a time. We will definitely be back! read more

If you're in Tucson, Arizona, you absolutely must check out Redbird Scratch Kitchen + Bar! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and a prompt welcome that set the tone for an incredible dining experience. We chose to sit on their beautiful patio, which perfectly complements the vibrant atmosphere of the restaurant. The combination of tasteful decor and a laid-back vibe makes it an ideal spot for relaxation and enjoyment. You can feel the history and passion behind Redbird--this place truly embodies the spirit of Tucson. Now, let's talk about the food and drinks! I kicked off my meal with the Redbird Old Fashioned, and it was nothing short of spectacular. Made with Four Roses Bourbon, Angostura Bitters, cane syrup, and Luxardo cherries, it was then smoked table-side with wood chips--a delightful touch that added a unique flavor profile to this classic cocktail. For my entree, I indulged in the Blue Mushroom Burger, and wow, it was an explosion of flavors! The combination of cremini red wine mushrooms, soft butter onions, and blue cheese crumbles was heavenly, and the blue cheese sauce took it to another level. Paired with their crispy waffle fries, this meal was nothing short of perfection. Overall, the service was impeccable, the food was outstanding, and the ambiance was inviting. Redbird Scratch Kitchen + Bar has definitely earned its five stars, and I can't wait to return for another unforgettable meal! PS The warm towels are nice touch! read more

Redbird is an absolute GEM in Tucson! We had such an incredible meal and honestly couldn't stop talking about the food afterward. The shrimp tacos were AMAZING -- packed with flavor, perfectly cooked shrimp, and the perfect combination of fresh toppings and sauces. Definitely something I could eat over and over again! The nachos were also next-level. Loaded with delicious toppings without being soggy or overwhelming, and every bite was full of flavor. And the shrimp ceviche was so fresh, bright, and flavorful -- the perfect balance of citrus, spice, and fresh ingredients. Everything tasted incredibly fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The food is always well prepared hot and delicious. I always like to support a local venue and this is a locally owned family business i think it's been around over for over 45 years . I have been many times, the service was fast and efficient and the food came along quickly. Staff really cared and wanted you to be happy. Even though a lot of people know each other they went out of their way to make sure you felt welcome. They serve breakfast and brunch. I came for breakfast, . I've had so many different dishes, One time I had the blueberry pancakes. I usually have a classical breakfast: Bacon eggs, hash browns and biscuits. Shared a cinnamon roll once which was fantastic, they were accommodating to my requests for crisp hash browns and bacon. I also have a problem with beans and they were willing to sub them out and add meat in a breakfast burritos. It's a great fun place but it does get crowded which speaks to its food but they do a good job of trying to serve people the best way they can. I will be back again this winter to enjoy the food and wonderful staff.

Our server Tania was so nice and attentive and provided great service. We both got steak fajitas and not only were they delicious, the portions were well worth the price, we could have shared one and still left full. We also got the guacamole appetizer and the avocado was fresh and very good. The hosts were very friendly and we got seated very quickly and greeted very shortly after. The restaurant itself was very clean as well as the restrooms. 10/10 recommend and we will be returning when in the area again.

From the moment we sat down, everything was phenomenal. The food? Incredible. The chips and salsa? Addictively good. The atmosphere? Warm, welcoming, and the perfect setting for an unforgettable meal. I ordered the skirt steak, and it was served on a slab of Himalayan salt! Not only was the presentation jaw-dropping, but the flavor profile was unlike anything I have ever experienced. Every bite was packed with bold, perfectly balanced flavors that had me savoring every second. Someone in my party ordered the enchiladas, and let me tell you--the sauce they use should be illegal. Rich, flavorful, and absolutely divine. I found myself eyeing their plate almost as much as my own! By the end of the meal, I was literally grinning from ear to ear and practically drooling over everything that hit the table. This wasn't just dinner--it was an experience. If you're not from Vail, make the drive anyway. It is 100% worth it. Some restaurants serve food. This place creates memories. WITHOUT QUESTION.
