    Tangsuyuk and jjajangmyeon

Inside the super hmart food court, Red Wok is a hidden gem. Probably the most popular food stall, it serves up generous portions of jjampong (spicy seafood noodles), jajangmyeon (black bean noodles), and tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork). Finding good Korean Chinese fusion in Chicago has been rough, but today's jajangmyeon marked the end of that search. As delicious as having it in Korea! Tangsuyuk was crispy and not too bready. The sweet sauce was on the side for dipping, instead of poured on the meat. They have electronic bells and fast service. Dishes range from 15-20 dollars! It's always busy in the food court on Saturday mornings. There's a lot of families stopping by after their weekly grocery shopping.

It has really good light and crispy soy garlic sauce or spicy honey and 4 other flavors. But a bit salty that it needs a side of rice. The jajjang myun ( lack bean paste noodles) were good esp bc they had a choice or vegetarian and it's so nice to have this option bc most places make the sauce w pork. Thank you. Open seating inside Hmart. Yummy but please less salt in the crispy chicken. Thank you.

My husband and I went to Red Wok in the Niles HMart food court. We ordered the pork bulgogi bowl. The bowl came with pork, rice, cabbage, lettuce, corn, and sauces. The food was amazing and the pork was very flavorful. The only negative was the small amount of pork that we were given relative to the price we paid. There was lots of rice and other less expensive ingredients. Had we been given more pork in our dish, this would be a five star review without hesitation. I recommend Red Wok.

I'm sorry but the popcorn chicken literally taste like it was frozen and reheated then drowned in bland sauces. My mom also got the Beef Bulgogi cup and the meat didnt even taste like beef or look like it. Everything was also over salted and the best thing about it was only the plain rice.

Nothing phenomenal, food was okay. Service was a tad slow. This restaurant is located inside the Hmart food court so seating is shared with other restaurants, first come first serve. It's very pack during lunch hours so go before or after, especially if you're looking for seating.

Occupying the same space that formerly used to be Wang's Chinese, red wood provides an assortment of different Korean favorites such as Jajang Myeon, Seafood champon, sweet and sour pork, shrimp fried rice, and korean popcorn chicken. The portion sizes here are on the generous side and food is prepared hot and fresh, cook to order. Prices and pretty reasonable (for the amount of food you're getting) and service is friendly.

I didn't enjoy the chicken cupbop or bulgogi cupbop at all. It was so bland and not worth the price.

Premium jajang noodles are so delicious! I especially enjoyed the smoky flavor of the seafood, and the portion size was just right.

Most classic Korean dishes are available and the food comes out pretty quickly. We ordered neang myon, mackerel, and the seafood pancake/pah-geon. A nice variety of side dishes/banchan comes out shortly after ordering. The cold noodles were perfectly cold and there was hot mustard and vinegar to customize. The fish was perfectly grilled and savory. The seafood pancake was crisp, savory, and had more veggies than typically seen. All of the food was delicious. The only knock was that the appetizer and entrees all came out at the same time. Large portions with good prices make this such a great value too!

I already had some Kalbi marinating at home so I figured I do something that isn't too Korean to save those flavors for later. I saw that they had a beef udon soup on the menu so I figured that would be nice and comforting. They also have a bunch of fried food on the shelf next to the counter and they will actually heat it up for you. The fried squid was warm and crunchy but the squid was tender. The soup was very filling. It was a lot of food considering you also get an assortment of pickles with it. While waiting for the food, I did notice that they have pho available so I'll definitely have to try that for next time.

Our group ordered steaks, a burger, and chicken tenders with fries, and every meal was excellent. They also served fresh bread and butter before the meal, which was a nice touch. The service was warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly, making us feel welcome from start to finish. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience. If you're looking for a great steak in a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere, Reyes Steakhouse is definitely worth a visit. We'll happily return the next time we're in the area!

My friend and i ate here based on the reviews and will say i would normally give this 2 stars BUT…read morethe service was so outstanding that I bumped it up to 3. First impression walking in was NOT great. We immediately smelled what can only be described as a VERY DIRTY bathroom smell. Other than the smell which we couldn't stop smelling until we ate and had some wine. The server was great to let us know that it was half off bottles of wine. And since the glass we initially wanted they didn't have this was a great option for us. We weren't able to finish the bottle so the server closed it up and sealed it in a bag for us to take with us. (Tuscan blend which was delicious) We ordered the Lobster Bisque to share to start with. The server/kitchen were kind enough to split it for us into two bowls. Overall the soup was good but NOT great. Then we ordered a bone in Ribeye (22oz) which came with crispy new potatoes and some some sautéed brocollini. We ordered the steak Medium Rare, it came out Medium + and since we were never checked in with on the temperature we ate it anyhow. The flavor was good but definitely far overcooked. The crispy new potatoes were perfectly crispy and the broccolini was sautéed and cooked very well. At the end of the day the service saved our experience. BUT because of the smell and the mis-cooked steak we would not return.
