Tuesday dinner and Service was great. Waiter and busboy were quick and friendly. More of a family restaurant than a steakhouse. They do have a full bar though. And the waiter let us know they have half price wine on Tuesdays. Had calamari for app which was good but make sure you ask for side of marinara as it only comes with aioli. Salmon was great. Served in a tomato garlic broth, really unique and good sized portion. Filet was solid. Only qualm was the bread, it was a sub roll with butter cubes. I get that kids like that but maybe don't serve it if the table is only adults.

My family and I always come here for send off dinners or to celebrate a special occasion and we are never disappointed. Still thinking about the filet mignon and mushroom risotto. We tried the mussels with the red sauce this time and also loved it. Mouth still watering just thinking about it. Definitely a nice establishment, love the staff. Perhaps not the most elegant indoors (the acoustics are not the greatest and it can get loud later in the evening) but truly have the best experience here every time.

4th time here with a party of 7 family and friends. Excellent. excellent. We ordered the gnocchi, outstanding. The grouper. So good. Risotto, the corn. The eggplant tower. All superb. Nice service as always. This place never disappoints. Serious, satisfying, huge servings. Full of flavor dishes. This was a dinner for our moms birthday celebration. The manager and staff were incredibly gracious allowing us to bring a cake that they helped serve. Love this place. You want upscale food. Come here.

We started with one of their Westco margaritas - and then we both ordered the Chuletson Con Westco (rib-eye with dinner salad and bone marrow). Wow -- just wow -- the steak was so nicely seasoned that you didn't need steak sauce. And the bone marrow with it -- just decadent - heavenly! The only area they may want to work on is to have a broader wine list as they were pretty limited on the red selection while we were there. Lovely service -- and the more leisurely pace found in a traditional steak place. Would love to go again later this Summer!

We ordered the octopus, patatas bravas, and the steak meal for two. The octopus was extremely overcooked and chewy, and the steak platter itself just felt underwhelming overall. Also... how does a Mexican steakhouse not provide tortillas with a steak platter? That honestly shocked me. The biggest confusion of the night was the patatas bravas situation. Our waitress forgot the dish entirely, then later brought over mashed potatoes and said they were "on the house." I was genuinely confused because I thought maybe this was their version of patatas bravas due to the seasoning on top. When I asked about it, she realized she accidentally brought mashed potatoes instead of the actual dish. She apologized and eventually brought the real patatas bravas, but even those tasted oddly sweet and missed the mark for us. To their credit, the staff did try to make up for it with complimentary shots, and the cocktails were honestly the best part of the experience. The space itself is gorgeous and has a very upscale vibe, but the food lacked cohesion and flavor for the price point. Sadly, not somewhere I'd personally return to.

Our waters were constantly filled and the staff was super organized. I had a coconut rum drink (liberty) and it was tasty. We had the linguini de mar (sea) and the chicken parm. Our server, I think his name was Jose, was very professional, courteous, and friendly. He came back to check on us numerous times and was very quick bringing anything we needed. We had the asparagus salad, the Darte salad, the grilled shrimp appetizer, the grilled vegetables, the grilled calamari, the carpaccio of octopus, and chicken Parmesan. At the start, they brought out bread, olive oil and grated cheese. The bread was a little dry on the outside, but it was warm. The asparagus salad was missing something - maybe salt? It just felt like it lacked flavor even though it had Gorgonzola cheese on it. The grilled vegetables, however, were perfect. It was a combination of one longstem, artichoke heart, one long grilled carrot, a couple of slices of zucchini, and a couple of asparagus. We had asked for them to be well grilled and they were sort of, I can't imagine how few grill marks they would have on them if they hadn't done what he had asked. The Darte salad was a nice size portion with mixed greens, golden and regular raisins, and walnuts. The balsamic vinaigrette is nice and flavorful, and doesn't separate the way it can at some places. The grilled shrimp were very good, nicely seasoned and very well charred. The grilled calamari were great, although they were quite small. There were many more of them than on the pictures. The carpaccio of octopus was very nicely, presented with very thin slices of octopus a nice bright dressing over it and the greens. The chicken Parmesan was a very large portion with the breaded chicken cutlet underneath a large layer of cheese ravioli all topped with marinara sauce, and then cheese, which was browned very well, it was very tasty. For dessert we had two different gelato - the maple bourbon, which would go great with a banana cake and the hazelnut chocolate, which was unbelievably flavorful and smooth. The pistachio and ricotta cake looks very good, but we didn't want to get three desserts. Maybe next time!

No how are you, can I get you something to drink. No water. A woman came up to us to take our order. I asked if we could at least get some water. There were items that we tried to order that they were out of. We didn't realize that this was a Muslim restaurant so there wasn't any alcohol to be served. Our waitress was not helpful in describing what was on the menu. My colleague ordered Arancini. I tried one. First of all they were the size of maybe a golf ball size. And had some square pieces of I'm not sure what it was. But it wasn't rice as it should be. Our meals were beyond horrible. I had supposedly gnocchi. But it was in a bowl of. I'm guessing cream and something green. Maybe olive oil but it was bright green. Neither of us could eat our meals. You would think they would ask us if there was something wrong or they could do something for us, but no, they could care less. No one ever came to check on us. I wanted to order a Diet Coke and even when it was apparent, we were not eating our meals. No one came to check on us for quite some time. I had to go up to the counter and ask if someone could at least give us our check. If I could give negative stars I would. I typically try to find the best in a restaurant. But it was quite clear they did not care about the food or the service. We didn't even get our water refilled. No one asked how our food was. Do not come here.

Instead, it was one of the most chaotic and disappointing dining experiences we've had. Upon arrival, no one greeted us. When someone finally addressed the crowd forming at the entrance, the only thing said was, "Who came first?" There was no host presence, no organization, and no professionalism. After being seated, we waited 45 minutes without a single server acknowledging us. No water, no hello, nothing. Meanwhile, the restaurant continued packing guests in tightly. Customers were being asked to sit at dirty tables. Servers were telling tables it would be another 20 minutes just to take their order. My husband and I spoke with management directly. The response was indifferent and dismissive. There was no urgency and no accountability. When a server finally came to our table, he appeared annoyed and simply said, "Sorry." When I mentioned basic hospitality and said, "Hi, hello, good evening, sorry for the wait?" he responded that they "didn't think it would be this busy tonight." It was Valentine's Day. On a Saturday. Near O'Hare. Surrounded by hotels. With reservations booked weeks in advance. We ran into friends dining there who had the same experience. Unfortunately for them, their food had already arrived and it was undercooked, bloody meat. The guest next to us sent his steak back, and his partner did not eat at all. The frustration throughout the dining room was obvious. We ultimately walked out, and multiple other parties followed. We drove over an hour for this reservation, and by the time we left, many other halal options were already closed. Valentine's Day was completely ruined. This is not about being busy. It is about management, preparation, food safety, and basic hospitality. Extremely disappointing.

And Jason (i believe the manager) stopped by to chat and shared fun tidbits about the concert...as well as gave us detailed directions of how to find the venue within the casino. The food did not disappoint either. We started off with some oysters and the chilled vinegar sauce served with it was amazing. I got shrimp cocktail as my main meal, which may have been the best shrimp cocktail I've had in awhile. I often eat shrimp cocktail from Costco at home as a good protein snack, but it's going to be tough to eat their shrimp after a taste of Hugo's.
