Overall great experience. Gentleman took the time to size my feet and brought out multiple size variations and styles before I found the "right fit". Was friendly and easy to talk to and allowed me to change out buckles on a belt I liked that would match the boots. Each store has a slightly different stock, so they help point you to another store if something specific was in mind. read more

Excellent store!!! Knowledgable friendly owners and staff. I love Red Wing. I have owned the steel toe Oxfords for many years, beautiful shoe that can be worn all day with out fatigue. It cleans up for a nice look for business lunch and is sturdy enough to walk onto my yard and help out a hand loading a trailer. These are light duty shoes that last for years. I am older now and not on the rigs so wellingtons are not neccassary any longer, so I went with the Supersole 2.0(2406). Its a 6" lace up steel toe that is 100% American made (not just assembled in USA). These boots are non insulated and man they felt great when I put them on. Ill update after the break in period. Better looking on then the picture on website. read more

I want to say that I've always loved Red Wing shoes. They've always been my favorite work boots, but what made this place special was the owner. It's a husband-and-wife team, and they were really nice and helped me find the right set of work boots for what I need. I can't ask for anything better than that! read more

My husband and I, along with our wild 2-year-old daugther, came to this store on a Saturday morning, and didn't know what to expect. My husband recently began working in a warehouse that requires him to be on his feet for 12 hours at time, and needed quality boots. Upon arriving, we were greeted by both the owner and his wife, and they took the time to truly understrand his needs (type of boot, wear patterns, etc), and sized his foot to ensure we would be getting exactly what we needed. The staff was so knowledgeable that we were delighted to have been there as opposed to ordering online. I work in customer service, and this place was SUPERB. We would recommend this place to ANYONE in Dallas, and will be coming to give them our business for years to come. read more

I have recently begun working for GE Energy and they are all about safety so they require me to wear a certain type of shoe for work. Of the several stores that they recommended that I go to to get my new work boots I decided to try Red Wing. I walked in and was immediately greeted by one of the 2 employees. The woman asked me several questions and also took the time to test my feet for size and fallen arches so that I could have the best fit possible. She took about 30 minutes to make sure I found the right shoe for what I needed and that it fit me just right. The shoes might cost a bit more than a shoe that you might find at a big box store but I know that my new work boots will last longer and be much more comfortable than any shoe from Target or Wal-Mart. read more

Needing a pair of steel-toe black work boots for my job, I researched quite extensively to find the pair that would fit the bill. Red Wing Shoes (or boots) seemed to have the most positive reviews, so I figured I'd give it a shot (plus, I found a $20 online coupon on the Red Wing Shoes website). Once I arrived at the store, I was instantly greeted by the lone worker (who I later learned was the owner, Stan). He was with another customer at the time, but I was in no rush. I already knew what specific boot I wanted to try on, so it gave me a chance to peruse the rest of the store. I must say, the store's selection of various work and casual shoes/boots was impressive. After Stan was finished with the other customer, he approached me, shook my hand, introduced himself, and asked how he could assist me. I showed him the pair of boots that I was interested in, and he then proceeded to measure my feet, as well as test my arches and stance. He was very knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. He didn't try to push me to buy anything; he was patient, and treated me like a friend (like a customer should be treated). After trying on the boots and walking around the store in them for a bit, I ended up purchasing them. He even threw in some boot soap and a cleaning brush free of charge because I'm a veteran. I can't say enough good things about Stan and his business. The boots are pricey, but I believe they're well worth the price - I, personally, am willing to spend a bit more for quality footwear since I'll be wearing them 10+ hours per day. So, if you're looking for a quality work boot/shoe, or just a pair for everyday wear with outstanding customer service, give Red Wing Shoes on 630 S Central Expressway in Richardson, Texas a shot. I did, and I can honestly say that I'm a customer for life. read more

Stan delivers some of the key components of running a successful business - superior customer service - likability and friendliness - dame fine boots!! If you are shopping for boots this is the only place you will need to go. I had a great experience at this store and you will too. read more

Stan is the man. Best customer experience. He and his wife just get it. It is the most inconvenient store for me but the one I go to. I have been to 3 other stores in Dallas and all pale in comparison. Probably because they are there themselves all the time. read more

Went in looking for something specific from online shopping. Never owned a pair of Red Wings so didn't know how they'd fit. Stan measured my feet and found the right size for me and told me how they'd break in and how to take care of the boots. They didn't have the finish I wanted so he called the store in Plano (that his wife operates) so the boots would be there next day. Didn't wanna wait so drove to Plano and received excellent service there as well and walked out with a great fitting pair of boots. Very happy with everything. read more

Redwing Boots are as good as it gets, and the customer service at this location was first class. I've had my cowboy boots for 10 years now and they fit me like a second set of skin -- far more comfortable than any walking shoe I've ever found. After 10 years the sole was getting a bit threadbare and I knew I was ready to try something new. I walked out with a new pair of Mocs that look great, are comfortable as hell, and I know will easily last another 10 years. As a bonus, my old boots got sent out for a set of new soles and believe me, they're not going anywhere. In a world of products that are designed to fail, Redwings are designed to serve. Stan and his wife carry this mentality into their interactions with customers. I'll be back. read more

Customer service was poor. The sales associate attended to a customer who came in after me and appeared to be interested in a more expensive shoe than I had been interested. While I acknowledge that the associate greeted me when I entered and directed me to the area I was interested, there was no attention given me thereafter. These boots may be very good quality and comfortable but I wouldn't know since I won't tolerate waiting for associates to attend to someone who came in after me. read more

We are so happy we went to this location. The Plano one is closer to us but they did not have my husband's size. So we came to this one. The service was exceptional. Stan is very knowledgeable and we felt like he genuinely cared about our satisfaction. We will define be coming back! read more

I came out to Dallas a few months ago for work and needed new boots shortly after getting here. Unfortunately I wear an odd size and had no luck at any of the big box or standard boot stores. Decided to bite the bullet and head down to the local Red Wing shop and I'm glad I did. I knew that Red Wing could fit me, but Stan's service went far beyond that. He took the time to talk to me about what I wanted in a boot, how it would fit/break in, and find the right boot for me. I came back a few months later to purchase another pair from him and couldn't be happier. If you care about what you put on your feet (Stan does), I highly recommend stopping in. If you are shopping for boots you already know Red Wing is a great product, but when you team a product like that with the customer service you'll get from Stan and his wife it's an amazing deal that you don't come by every day. Also be sure to pet Dan. Pro tip: he loves scratches behind his ears. read more
