What a disappointment. Total waste of time. Prices rival or are higher than the expensive Goodwills with a much smaller selection. Racks are stuffed with junk just waiting to be thrown away. Go somewhere else. It's not worth your effort. read more

One of my go-to thrift shops. The workers keep to themselves, but that's fine by me. There's a ton of clothing to browse through, and you can sometimes score some high-end pieces. Prices are exactly what you'd expect from a thrift store. read more

My favorite thrift store by far! They have a good selection of clothes, and for a good price! And all the staff is amazing! They so kind and very helpful! The store & the dressing room are very clean, and the clothes are almost always in amazing condition. 10/10 recommend--my favorite go-to thrift store! read more

Huge , clean and organized thrift ! Everything was in place and easy to find each section through the store. Prices were all adequate.

I'm known for loving to bargain shop! I shop at Good Will often. Well, Thrift City needs to checkout how Good Will runs their stores. Thrift City is filthy. All the merchandise is dirty, chipped, stained or overpriced. For example the Pyrex pie pans are $4.99...that's what they cost at Target, brand new, lol!!!! Loyal Customer for Good Will!!!! read more

Good selection for all ages. They do a good job filtering out things that aren't nice. Can be jumbled; patience is always useful to find good things. You'll be glad you visited. read more

Friendly staff, very organized, great options, we found some great stuff! Will definitely be goin back!

Well this is a little hidden gem right in the heart of Richardson! I wanted to go shopping on my lunch break but didn't want to spend an arm and a leg. Enter in Thrift City. They only had one tag color of the day half off which isn't ideal, but better than nothing. If you dig you can definitely find some amazing deals. I found a number of Banana Republic and J Crew tops for under $3 so I was a happy gal. If you download their app you get points and such and I got $4 off just for getting the app. This place is dated but incredibly well organized and the color tag of the week changes every Monday from what I've heard. I hope it stays a secret for awhile. read more

The "Thrift City" chain seems to be consistent across the board. The only thing I don't like is that their color sales tags of the day is for clothing only. If you're looking for appliances, toys or knick knacks it's a hit or miss -- they are often overpriced. The highlights of the chain is that their shoes seem to be fairly priced and the have a great selection of old records at the different stores I've visited in the chain. read more

As a guy who shops at thrifts my experience wasn't too great. Granted I didn't have a chance to look through the clothes but I was on the look out for some cookware and to my surprise the pans I came across were a "bit" overpriced. A used an abused 10" calphalon was 29.99 that's just about as much as a new one. This gave me what I needed to know that I will most likely not be coming back. read more

This is one of the best-organized and maintained thrift stores I have seen. Not only is the clothing color-coordinated, but so are the books! (see photos). The prices are very reasonable and there is plenty of really good-quality merchandise. read more

Wanted to buy this Glass Swan and was basically told since it's not priced they can't sell it. I would've paid $20 I don't care I wanted it. Just put a price on it that "send it back to the warehouse." read more

I fell in love with this store as soon as I walked in!!! The clothes are organized by color in each section. A large portion of their clothing still had the original tag on it. Plenty of name brands, various sizes and very spacious. I had to make myself leave after almost two hrs in the store. Lol... I'm serious though. Can't wait to go back. read more

Thrift City is where its at. Keep in mind: I've only recently started to go thrift shopping, and I'm not the most experienced, nor have I've been to a lot of thrift stores. I have been to Goodwill, Texas Thrift Store (in Arlington), Half of Half, and this place. Out of the limited thrift stores that I've been to this is by far the best one. It's clean, organized, cheap, and the stuff here is awesome. I have this theory going into thrift stores: "about 90% is crap, that 10% makes worth going to the thrift store" this place is more like 70% crap and 30% cool stuff (which is really good compared to others.) Every time I come here I always walk out with something CHEAP and Cute. This Thrift Store is cheaper than other thrift stores that I've been to because it is not affiliated with a charity; so all the clothes here are 50%+ cheaper than good will or half-of half. Very Hipster if you like that style, and if you don't i'm sure there is something else that you like. I had to get used to the fact that it was a thrift store and that it was used clothes, but the clothes are nice, stylish and INEXPENSIVE (I love cheap). I would suggest to wash the clothes before you wear them (duh) but just for precaution. I would definitely recommend this place, I love it here and I always have a good find! read more

Thrift City - Richardson - Thrift City Richardson! - Thrift Stores Near Me - Richardson, Texas

love the clothing that ive found here but theirs a specific employee that i had an issue with bigger lady with glasses told me to get my autistic kid in place and made faces at us will no longer be supporting this thrift store. read more

Store was very clean and the employees were very nice! It was a bit pricey though. But good selection

As a toy collector, it is a blessing that that thrift city has decent organization of their toys. Most other thrift stores throw their plush toys into containers and pack them down until they're one mass of unidentifiable fabric. Thrift city- on the other hand, has many racks sparsely populated with toys for ease of shopping. Further, the staff was exceedingly kind and welcoming. Thank you thrift city! read more

My kiddo and I had a great experience here. My daughter had actually been put off by thrifting (crazy right??), but after visiting this place, she left with a new appreciation for it. Now after 3 pairs of jeans and a pair of shorts later, she can't wait to go back! We came on a weekday evening about an hour before closing time, which was perfect. No wait for the dressing room, and it wasn't crowded at all. The store is large and spacious with way more room between the aisle for carts than at Ross or TJ Maxx (thank you!!). Besides a few gum spots on the carpet, it was pretty clean (although the bathroom is a different story according to my kid so I would come with an empty bladder XD...). The store also didn't have a funky musty smell that some thrift stores have, so extra points for not assaulting our noses!! Like many other thrift stores, they have different color price tags and depending on the day of the week, discounts based on the color of the tag (the day we went, it was 50% off items with white tags). What I liked most about this place was how the clothes were organized. They did a pretty good job arranging them by color and size, which made it super easy to shop. In addition to my kid's items, I was very happy with the 3 dresses and 3 skirts I got. All of our clothing we purchased was in good shape. I spent about $40 for everything. Can't wait to visit again! Maybe next time we will make it to the back of the store!! read more

This place is my favorite thrift store! You can find so many good stuff for very cheap prices! The inside is quite organized and looks pretty clean for a thrift store. I found a j crew wool sweater for only 2.99 & the price was further cut off to half that price! I definitely recommend this place!! read more

Don't waste your time. Over priced, not very organized and for as big as the store is, it was relatively empty.

Impressed this store not only had quality stuff but it was organized and had a quick and orderly checkout process

I really like this thrift store. It's a large, clean store and organized well. The prices are very reasonable and there is a wide variety of items. I didn't see broken dirty items, but I saw plenty of nice things. I love that some of the colored tags are discounted each week. read more

The clothing is very organized (by size & color!), but if you're looking for toys, games, or Knick-Knacks it's a mess. They have 4 clean fitting rooms & a bathroom (which I cannot speak on the cleanliness of it). I would say their pricing is slightly higher than others on somethings, but they also have great deals on others so you just have to get lucky with it! read more

Sucks! This place has the worst of everything I've ever seen in a thrift store. The store is so completely overpriced, I don't know how they find people dumb enough to buy anything there. Not to mention it is filthy and looks like they have never cleaned. Must go shower and sanitize, I feel itchy just having gone inside! Yuk read more

Very impressed with this store. The store itself is clean, clothing is sorted by color and size, and dressing rooms are spacious. Prices vary - it seemed like higher priced items were located in the "boutique" area. I spent $17 and walked away with three blouses, which feels just a tad higher than what I normally pay at thrift stores, but I still consider it a good deal. I'll be back. read more

Amazing amazing amazing!!!!! Cool clothes for a cheap price. My first choice when it comes to thrift stores. Staff is awesome and I love the selection! read more

This is the second time I've come to this place after them sending me an email saying that they were having a sale to be told that oh their store isn't participating or they're not having that sale they stuck to that even after showing them the email I received. I would not recommend anyone waste their time driving out here they should be ashamed. read more

Worst staff ever. Very rude. Would be embarrassed to work with people like that. Will not return or recommend to anybody..

Best Thrift Shop in all of Dallas / Ft. Worth. Moved to Austin and wish I could have brought this place with me. CONSTANT DAILY new items. Decent prices. Well organized. Clean. Good sales. Wonderful staff. Anytime I'm back home in Dallas I swing by Thrift City to strike thrift gold. read more

My favorite part of this thrifty place is that it does not have the typical scent associated with thrift shops. This makes clothing easier to get ready to wear. The aisles are a little smallish in the children's clothing so I gave it 4 stars. But I like hunting here and always find my kids next round of clothing. read more

I came here one time and had good experience finding few things.Second time I came, I picked up couple pieces. When we got to the register, I asked the "lady" who was ringing me to show if the sensor did not leave a hole (I found a crochet sweater). The lady was so rude she started throwing the item saying "she did not see" which side the sensor came off. I asked to see the item. I said she did not have to have an attitude as I am a customer and wanted to make sure the item did not have as hole after she took the sensor out for which I asked politely. she then started THROWING my clothes into the bag after ringing it. When my daughter and I were leaving she literally started screaming after us! As I am now reading reviews, I see what people mean by the rude staff. I was appalled I have never ever been treated this way! For a employee to yell after me and throw items into the bag because I asked to see an item to make sure sensor did not leave a hole? Completely disappointed because I wanted to make this store my regular. read more

Usually like to shop here but not no more. I went into the dressing room and tried on some clothes until I felt something sharp dig deep into my foot, I looked down crying seeing a staple in my foot. I assumed someone was attempting to steal clothes by removing the staple and the people don't clean after the fitting rooms. This is a safety issue with this store now, it's like leaving a wet floor wet without a cautionary sign. read more

Definitely a go to if you are looking to dig!(: Found some amazing clothes and house items!!!

Thank you so much for reading my review and putting my commentary into action! I returned a couple days ago and went to the shoe section to see if any changes had occurred and to my surprise, the section was extremely neat! This was a night and day difference. There was only one pair on the floor but it was clear someone had just tried them on and left. Thank you so much for listening to my review! read more

I thoroughly enjoy shopping here! I always go home with at least one good find but usually a decent amount of clothes. Fairly priced and the deals are great! read more

This place should have 5 stars from every person. It is by far the best thrift store in the area. It is soooo incredibly well organized, and well staffed. The clothes are organized by sex/gender, style, size, AND color. It is so easy to find exactly what I need. Sure you have to dig a little if you want something is in style, but that is who be expected because the prices are very low. I buy almost all of my clothes here and you'd never know it read more

The clothes are bad. The clothes were low quality, bad, cheap brands. And the some of the employees were very rude and the one ringing me up wasn't even wearing her mask. It was like a chin strap, her nose and mouth was exposed, and besides that she was very rude and tossed the bag over the counter and the plastic shield almost hit my face. read more

I just say I am so lucky I live 0.5 miles away from TCR. No one can ask for more. Place is full of treasures and also never clothes stay too long on the racks. well organized and of course all staff is wonderful and you see they all work good together. You can feel tranquility in the store. This is great as I use it as my therapy "ME" time. Thanks to Karen, Tracy and all the people that make this happen. Even my 19 year old daughter loves it...of course she also finds treasures. Happy SHOPPING to all the lucky customers of TCR read more

This was my first time visiting and I found so many nice finds. Many did not fit but I did score a nice blazer and leather and wool wristlet. Store nicely laid out and was organized well. They even had a boutique section full of nicer items. Lots of wool, silk and cashmere items. I found the bags were a bit overpriced considering they were used. My major pet peeve with thrift is the typical smell when you go in goodwill. No smell here and was clean! Clothes I'm good condition too. I saw no holes or rips in anything I picked up. I will be back for sure! Staff super friendly when I asked questions or needed help. I will donate here in the future. Prices much better than goodwill or Salvation Army. read more

I bought some home decoration here and turn out I could have bought very similar items brand new at Home Goods
