Today I took one of my new water proof buck work boots I accidentally cut a 3" slice across the toe with a utility knife. I asked if she could seal or repair. She told me yes but it would need glue& stitching to hold the cut together. I really wasn't expecting anything other than an ugly looking repair job. Just picked it up & I was pleasantly surprised. She not only made a nice tight even seal but she even color matched her stitching to my boot. $15 was a very reasonable cost compared to replacing my $110 boots. GREAT JOB CHOE!

We talked over what they could do and I left the purse with them. They did a perfect job. The repair is invisible and I am able to use it again! After that good experience I brought a treasured vintage handbag to them. It is 50 years old. It is petite point on leather and the needlework was separated from the leather. She looked the bag over. She said she could repair it, but suggested I do it myself. She sold me the glue I would need and showed me how to place the glue and clamp the bag. I was nervous, but it worked wonderfully. And, I saved the cost of the repair. I was doubly impressed. First with the repair on my leather purse, then with the honest advice for my vintage purse. I recommend Choe's for leather repair.

I overlooked it because I know sometimes people are going through things and I like to give grace. And then she asked if I wanted to try them on. I mean, I guess some customers come in with their clothes already pinned and ready to be altered, but no, I'm not that organized. When she asked what heel height I would be wearing with them I told her about 2 inches. Well, she insisted that I did not need them to be altered, and I insisted that I did, especially with the wide leg cut, I felt like there was a level of back-and-forth that was unnecessary. This was very unusual for me in a place of business and I didn't know exactly where it was originating from and it's not something I can say I've experienced before to this degree.

Went to pick them up today - was charged 47.00 for alterations prior to dresses being shown to me. I inquired about the ribbon being added to the v on both of the dresses (which I didn't ask for) 1) doesn't match the dresses 2) the v previously had a clean edge not ribbon so why would you ad it. I was told I had to wait for the manager to come to the store to talk to me. I waited in the car. When I went back in and told her I was unhappy with the alterations & wanted my money back she told me she was not refunding my money and threatened to call the cops on me? She proceeded to continue in a verbal argument with me - even in front of another Customer who Was picking up shirts. I chose to step aside & allow her to wait on him. She proceeded to ask me if I Was ready to shut up and allow her to talk? First & foremost - who does this in a management position?? What company would allow someone to interact with customers with such a horrible attitude & lack of professionalism. I decided to leave the store with my dresses & not continue this conversation with this unprofessional individual. She proceeds to yell 'don't get It an accident on your way home'? I thought I didn't hear right at first .... Who says this to a Customer? Who says something so terrible to anyone period? Why would someone representing a business even allow something like that to cross their lips - there was no need for It. It was rude & extremely unprofessional. You don't wish an accident on anyone - and basically that's what she was saying when she passed that comment. In the business world - you do what you can to please the customer and don't argue with them. This manager was extremely rude & if I was the business owner she'd not be representing my company - She would be out of a job! Reputation is everything - clearly this woman doesn't understand how her actions impact a business...and how word of mouth impacts a business. Dress was placed on a red background to show the 50 cent roll of Michaels ribbon used as edging on the neckline - this type of ribbon isn't even made for clothing? The proper thing to do would have been return my money & not argue with the customer in your place of business. Actions like this speak volumes for the way a business is run. I'd rather take my business elsewhere - to an establishment that stands behind their work & is Customer focused.
