Really enjoyed my meal at Red Window. They were so accommodating to our group! Our order: Crispy meatball - so yummy Crispy mushroom skewer Marinated artichoke skewer Patatas bravas queso fundido roasted carrots Garlic shrimp read more

For any espresso martini lovers, avoid this spot. It's got great seating (indoor and out), good (but loud) outdoor music, but it's the espresso martini that I'm leaving a review for. My guess is it's the walnut bitters that they use, whatever it is it's TERRIBLE. I'd recommend Original Joe's if you're really set on getting one and are in the area. read more

For espresso martini lovers - this wasn't it. The vibes were really cute but the drink was very sub par

My husband and I decided to try this place at 6pm on a Saturday night. I was super hungry and not looking forward to a long wait time, but when we got to the hostess stand she said they were all booked up for reservations and not taking any walk-ins. There is nothing that annoys me more than a restaurant that leave NO tables for walk ins. You might as well put a closed sign at your door. Even if you said, the wait is 3 hours, fine...that's better than saying you can't take walk-ins. I decided to look online for last minute reservations, possibly a cancellation and lo and behold....there are MANY reservations available online! Including one right at 6. I booked it and went right back up to the hostess and told her I made a reservation and that there actually were many tables available online..... We got seated outdoors, between two other EMPTY tables, that remained empty the entire time we ate. (Actually they seated a table after us and they got up and left after looking at the menu) We love tapas food so we were looking forward to the meal, but we too were underwhelmed by the menu. We were starving so ordered a bunch of stuff, nothing was really that memorable or that great honestly. Glad we tried it but don't need to be back. Best part of being there was discovering the gelato place it's next to and grabbing gelato on our way home. read more

The old Cafe DeLuchhi's got a brand new makeover into the beautiful Red Window. I'm overjoyed to have Spanish Food in such a central location in North Beach. These guys are batting 1000 and knocking it out of the ballpark. The service is excellent and the food is insanely delicious! I lost what was left of my mind eating the Empanadas and Patatas Bravas. Every dish I've eaten is absolutely superb. The decor is gorgeous and perfectly suited for in-house dining (even though I ordered takeout). There are so many amazing items available it's difficult to keep track but my plan is to continue to return until I've committed their menu to memory! read more

AMAZING!! Incredible service, amazing food, and the best cocktails!!! The vibe was so great for a nice night out (:

I was really excited to try this place. Unfortunately, it was mediocre at best. The service was good though. Food wise, we ordered a good selection: the croquetas were dry. The chicken skewer was dry. The octopus was chewy. The tuna and ox tail crostini was dry. The gambas was chewy. The rice porridge lacked taste. Actually, all the food we ordered lacked in taste and seasoning. The patatas bravas was good. But then again, it's hard to screw up potatoes. They're not a full bar and serve some borderline type of hard liquor. That wasn't good either. The bar cart was cool though. read more

Drinks are extremely delicious; food is solid and tasty and vibe / service is nice -- but boy is it expensive to get full here! $19 for a tiiiiny plate of dried meat....$16 for a miniscule tomato salad. Not sure I would go back given that. read more

Absolutely loved our meal! Everything was perfect from the complexity and savoriness of the dishes down to the innovative and refreshing cocktails. Our service was impeccable and it was a really lovely evening overall read more

Sadly, after visiting this restaurant 20+ times, I will no longer spend my money here. A server named "Kat A." has completely ruined this place (and the Little Red Window) for me for good. She was completely rude and unnecessarily catty to me and my visiting company. Such an awful display of the city. The only reason this is even getting two stars is because of the long history I've had here. I hate that it has to end, but this was just too much! read more

We went on the second day of opening. Had a great outdoor table and the cocktails and tapas & table service was fabulous! The creativity put into the delicious aperitifs and cocktails really shows. Good wine menu and a lot of variety of tapas snd larger plates too will make this place a go to stop before dinner or instead of a dinner while in North Beach. We will go back again and again! Must have the cocktails, the Smoked martini Sucker Punch, And the Botanical Gin and Tonic, & the Aperil low hanging fruit Spritz were all amazing, low alcohol concoctions with such Fun vibe too! read more

Amazing food and absolutely flawless service from Liz. She provided great recommendations and made the evening totally enjoyable.

We came here for a birthday celebration, this place is very charming with colorful and cheerful ambiance. Everything we order was subpar. The pasta was way overcooked and doesn't have much flavors. The gambas were super tiny, there were the size of a quarter with overwhelming many pieces of bread to make the dish look big. The chicken wings came highly recommended, it had no flavors and the batter was very thick. Nothing we ordered had any Spanish flavors. read more

Had a great Sunday afternoon brunch with my girlfriends in the heart of North Beach. Drink menu is excellent! We loved nibbling on the delicious tapas. The staff was super attentive to our table and the other customers. The clean bright colors and airy interior made the place super inviting. The outdoor tables had heaters. I'll definitely go back. Would like to try it in the evening after a night strolling around town. Reminded me of the great late night spots in Madrid Spain. read more

Food was great. My partner liked the mushrooms but I was not a fan of all the smokey paprika they were drowning in. Loved the meatballs and Brussels sprouts! Cocktails were fun even if they were low proof. read more

I was traveling in San Francisco alone and went into the North Beach area to find a place for dinner. I came across the Red Window Restaurant and thought I would give it a try. The hostess seated me at the bar which was set up for people to have dinner. The ambiance was very cosy and nice, and I looked forward to a nice experience. I had been given a menu and a wine list when I sat down which I began to review. I saw an item on the menu called "Airline Chicken", and asked the bartender (who would serve as my waiter) if he could describe the Airline Chicken dish. He stated that he did not know it and would get someone from the wait staff to explain it to me. In the meantime I ordered a glass of wine and waited for someone to describe the chicken dish. The bartender chatted for a while with one of the wait staff (I am thinking that he is going to ask her to speak with me) and when he finished she began to walk away. I flagged her down and asked if she could describe the dish. She tried her best but did not provide much detail although she assured me that I would enjoy it. I decided to go ahead and order it-it was fine, nothing outstanding. The bartender never asked if I wanted another glass of wine (which I would have ordered) and provided basic service. He was not that busy. Note to owner - if you are going to set up your bar for food service, make sure the staff is fully trained on the menu and how to provide good customer service. read more

They take COVID safety standards seriously, felt very comfortable dining here knowing everything was clean and staff was on it! The food is to die for!!! I ate things I didn't know I would enjoy and absolutely loved it! Love the Spanish/Latin American fusion! Absolutely delicious low ABV cocktails! Some of the best I've had! We had a very interactive experience having the bar cart come table side to make our cocktails! This spot is perfect for the warm summer days! Love the decor! Feels like you have been transported to a fantasy wonderland! read more

We celebrated my best friend's engagement party here & it was nothing short of amazing. The staff went above & beyond to make the night so memorable! They printed a photo of the happy couple (on edible rice paper) to float on one of their cocktails, the Abuelita Sour. The food was incredible. We loved having a bunch of small plates, trying new things & their staff recommendations were spot on. Can't wait to visit again soon, especially for the bar cart experience :) read more

I've been there a couple times. And the food is usually amazing. Last time however the patatas bravas (the glow up of the last meal) came cold and weren't nearly as good... also the waitress was pretty fed up with the idea of waitressing and wasn't happy we only stopped for a short little while and didn't order more.... A weird interaction to say the least. But I hope it gets better again cause I really liked the food the first time..... read more

Got a resie at 4 on opening day. Located on the corner of Stockton and Columbus, a pretty busy area, so the vibes are lively and the art work on the building is pretty dope. The music was on point, a mix of 90's rap, rnb, 80's rock, all sorts of genres which I appreciated especially being outside. The table ordered rose sangria which was refreshing, but a bit too sweet for me so I ended up ordering the Cava which was also not that dry and a little on the pricy side than other spots ($15 bucks). They also got a pitcher of the red sangria which was also too sweet for me, but a good choice for a semi warm evening. The tapas were interesting, but good. Lots of potatoes (croquetas, tortilla espanola, patatas bravas) but I'm not mad. I think out of the potatoes, the patatas bravas stood out for me. If you order them you'll know why. I didn't try the tuna conserva, but it looked really good and the table loved them. The salad was pretty good to me, romaine with beets, pretty simple. The gambas were good, just the right amount of garlic although I wish the shrimp were bigger (they use the tiny ones). The cauliflower bocadillo was tasty, but didn't stand out to me. The two best tapas for me were the braised leeks, super interesting flavor and texture and light and the warm oxtail marmalade crostini, super rich in flavor and who doesn't love a good oxtail. Overall a good spot to try for outdoors (the inside of the resto is tiny, smaller than outside dining). Be prepared to spend some dough here though, I think our bill was around $400 (could be more) for 4 people for those two pitchers of sangria, a few glasses of cava, a few beers and the tapas and we didn't leave full, but it is tapas.... read more

Interesting service just unfortunately not great food compared to some tapas you might find here and obviously in Spain! Cocktails are quite over sweet and over priced. read more

We walked in because the restaurant looks very pretty from the outside. Really nice outdoor patio vibes. We only came for drinks. Unfortunately, we ordered 4 different cocktails and they were all terrible. The white sangria I would describe as "fluoride flavored". The espresso martini was insanely sweet and grainy because they dropped some of the coffee grounds into it... I can't speak for the food, but unfortunately the bar is awful. read more

Fantastic food, super fun and professional wait staff (thanks PJ!) Cocktails delish

I wanted to love this place so badly. But the food was below average and over priced for the neighborhood. The cocktails were okay. I won't be going again anytime soon. read more

Great tapas joint! Most of the dishes are excellent and the wine selection is very solid. Only drawback is the limited charcuterie selection, where you have to order certain dishes to get the charcuterie you want. read more

Fantastic place. Food was awesome and great service. 5 stars from me! I'll be back for sure! Very grateful to the workers there for looking after us. The Patatas Bravas and Gambons, were soooo good, as was everything else. Great drinks too. read more

The atmosphere is bright and friendly. Delicious drinks and interesting cocktails. Great place to hang out. Crispy mushrooms was delicious.

The gambas (the shrimp) did not look like the pictures at all. They were small and had little sauce to them. The cheese with bread were also bad, the cheese was burnt to the plate and hard to scrape off. The bread for both of these dishes was stale and did not look like the pictures. Their Instagram page of food items were very deceiving. Overall disappointed with the food and the service. read more

He best part about this place are the empanadas! Especially the Mexican ones! Staff was nice. Drinks were ok. We also got the queso fundido and patatas bravas which were ok. read more

Horrible experience, was put on a waiting list, told 45 minutes.. After 45 minutes was told to wait another 45 to be told that being on a waiting list doesn't mean I was going to get a table because they may close. No apology and was told that if I was not happy to go elsewhere . This is my worst experience ever.. Do not support this business, they have no respect for their clients.. read more
