I really wanted to give this place more stars but their foods doesn't deserve it. I have heard so much a about this restaurant because it's probably one of the old Cambodia restaurant around. We came here for the 1st time order a bunch of foods. We had the chicken feet salad, was horrible. The beef teriyaki was dry and plain. The fried rice are simple, nothing special. The stir fry frog with lemon grass was disappointed, they fry the frog before hand so it's kind of taste weird. However, we love the green bean drink is very good, but a by pricy. Kuythiew and other dishes are always delicious. Service is average. Hate the fact that they use such strong cleaning agents which overpowers the food smell. Sorry but I don't think it's even safe to sit there and inhale all the cleaning supply. Please use less harsh cleaning products when cleaning the table or floors. I grew up going to this restaurant since it's literally across the street from where I lived. THAT'S ABOUT TWENTY YEARS OF MY LIFE, BRO. If I've kept going to this restaurant, it must STILL be that good. My mom and I order their baw baw (rice soup) and seafood mee ka thung (Cambodian chow-fun) more times than I can remember. It's a consistent fix and is never a real let-down. I've tried their pad thai and it challenges other Thai places I've been to. I hate it when pad thai is filled with sauce where the noodles become soggy/gross. Atmosphere wise, it's stayed the same since I was little girl. Any upgrade to this restaurant has been minimum so every time I walk in, I feel like I'm in a time warp. Maybe that alludes to its charm. read more

The Red Rose is a Cambodian restaurant located in Lowell, MA. Parking is pretty limited and hectic so plan your trip accordingly. The place is much bigger than the outside shows, which was quite surprising (and pleasing) because I thought we were going to have to wait a long time to eat. Our waitress was quick, prompt, and friendly. I got a Kathew special (similar to Vietnamese pho) and it was awesome. I also got an iced coffee that was very good as well. Coming from a house where we never went out to eat and all that is on TV is the cooking channel, I always compare to my mom's cooking and they hit it. Great sour soup with beef. The beef with flat wide noodles was our favorite but we like the noodles a little crispy. The crispy ginger fish was perfect with a little hot sauce. Casual dining makes it easy but they could doll the place nicer by taking boxes away from the common areas and cleaning it up more so the environment feels nicer. I'll be back when I'm craving some home cooked Cambodian food at a great price. read more

We love the food here. Our favorites are the chicken noodle soup, beef loc lak, crispy yellow noodles, and pad Thai. It's not your typical restaurant service- the food comes out when it's ready, not all together. The staff speaks very little English. You'll probably wait a long time for your check. Hot wing is the best wing ever i have ever had. It was cripsy, hot and spicy. When I finally got a menu with prices, I was informed that the prices were not correct! I asked why they hadn't updated the prices and got no reasonable answer. We came here for lunch on Easter and were seated immediately. We ordered the Special Lort Noodles with fish cake, squid and sea legs. We also ordered Seafood Rice Soup and Pad Thai with shrimp but no peanuts. The Lort noodles were on par with most other Malaysian restaurants. The Pad Thai noodles were a bit al dente but it tasted what you would get at a typical Thai restaurant. The Seafood Rice Soup was outstanding and our favorite. Definitely better what I can get at a typical Cantonese restaurant! For drinks, I ordered the Iced Coffee and daughter had the Pineapple Shake. The drinks were great. Service was very slow. It was very hard flagging a waitress down. The Lort noodles took a LONG time in getting to our table. I think they forgot it but I wouldn't know because it was so hard flagging a waitress down! I'm almost never in the area since I live on the south shore but because of a family grand opening of a nail salon in Dracut (liberty nails) we decided to grab some food before heading home. My aunt and uncle have been to this place before and have wanted to take us here so that's where we ended up going! The atmosphere isn't like high class or anything super special, decor pays a lot of tribute to the Cambodian culture, which makes sense since it's a Cambodian restaurant, although I feel like they needed to make the place more lively. There was almost nobody in there when we walked in and one of the waitresses was just sitting there counting her tips. It took about five minutes for someone to realize we were there. Our waitress was nice and friendly. My mom, sister, uncle, and aunt all got the pork noodle soup or something like that, my brother in law got the pad Thai and I got the rice with pork chop. Food came out maybe 5-10 minutes later and basically my dish was rice. It was mainly rice and maybe 7 little pieces of pork. Most places usually give you more rice than meant but I've never had this much rice before. That was a negative for me. My brother in laws pad Thai came out and it wasn't the best. The noodles were wicked chewy and he had asked the waitress if she could have the chef throw some water in the noodles and cook it longer cause it was too chewy. It took her a few minutes to understand but she went ahead and took it away. When she came back with it, it was still the same. It was a big portion so he didn't bother having them take it back again cause he was gonna bring it home and cook it longer himself. Overall, I'm not entirely sure if I would come back here. The atmosphere is kind of drab, needs a little pick me up with the decorations, and food wasn't the best, nor the worst. read more

I go to this restaurant with some Cambodian friends. This is the place they like so I know it is clean and good quality. The dance videos running on flat screens give a real taste of the place. Usually a love story. They have a very tranquil way of dancing and when a song came up in the nightclub we went to in Phnom Penh many couples got up and danced with the graceful hand movements. A real authentic experience. Good noodle soups and iced coffee. Other items I have tried are good too. Good service. The hours are every day 8am to 7pm so you can go for a Cambodian breakfast. Typically that can be iced or hot coffee, tea or soy milk with a sort of donut and noodle or rice soups. They may have eggs but I like their breakfast. Open all day but not for late dinner. The meat ones could have some liver and such but the seafood and chicken don't and are good. Tofu is available for vegetarians (I think). Parking is in the lot of the strip it is in. 2 groceries are nearby to buy Cambodian & Asian food. read more

I haven't been here in a long while but on Valentine's Day I decided to stop by and pick up a shrimp and lobster sauce to go. They make the best lobster sauce! The reason for the two stars is that the shrimp they put in it was going bad, how sad is that! You're supposed to be able to dine in this place as well but the inside temperature was no more than 50°! The staff and the place unfortunately looked very dirty. Came here for a family reunion, we have no reservations but they accommodate us anyways. They combined 3 tables to fit all of us. They're very friendly fast and the food was delicious ,the broth in my bowl of noodles was very flavorful. I would recommend anyone to try this place out , good food good services. read more
