For what it is, an inexpensive motel it was fine. Clean, comfortable within reason and allowed pets.

SureStay Plus Hotel by Best Western Elizabethtown Hershey - Breakfast Area

My elderly father was bitten by fleas here…read more If you have a dog allergy or aren't a fan of being bitten by fleas, I wouldn't stay here. Management also hung up with him when they were discussing how his legs were covered in flea bites. In all fairness, maybe the manager was receiving a call from someone else who was bitten by fleas. If you're starting a flea circus (or a flea looking for someone to bite) this would be a good choice.

We used this as our base of operations to ride some of the rail to trail in this area and have a…read morelittle minivacation. Were in town TUE-THU. This is a nicely executed version of a mid-level hotel. They advertise it as newly remodeled, looks nice and does "read" as fresh & clean. The whole staff is pleasant and the front desk operators are a good source of local knowledge. We got good resturant suggestions or in one case confirmation of our choice. The breakfast (included in price) is well executed, good choices, certainly something for everyone. They have water/cofee, fruit in lobby area 24/7. The gym/pool was nice, we had it to ourselves, middle of the week, few other guests didn't seem like pool or gym types. One issue while we were here (29-31 AUG 23)- there was considerly too much chlorine in the hot tub. Skin tingling amounts. Jewelry tarnishing amounts. If you were supposed to put in 10 pucks, the guy this week did 20 and threw in one more for luck. After a few quick dips (post bike rides) I know neither of us will get any diseases this winter. One oddity, a nice large fish tank is in the lobby. The filter was never on. There are a few small tetra, a big pleco, the water looks clear, there are heaters, but strangly neglected for such an obvious feature. There are a couple of property infrastructure challenges that are not related to the current staff/owner. The entry/ exit out on "main road" is a bit problematic. It's a contesting area where cars are coming off highway and it is the main road through town. At times it was the great convergence, all of the 100 residents, and every tractor trailer in the county occupied that same place and time. Sitting to make the left from out of "downtown" I felt bad as traffic built up behind us (a turn lane is logical solution). The other is the parking lot. It is situated on a rolling hillside. Rather than engineer a flat plateau, the builders just paved the undulations of the existing lands. I felt like I needed to use the parking brake. It can't possibly be used safely in snow/sleet. Overall nice place, would stay here again.

The tiny sofa does not sleep anybody and they say four people are supposed to fit in here to sleep. They also did not provide any blankets except for one thin, tiny comforter. We had to call and ask for more comforters and we asked them to fix the heater which they did not. So it's 59° inside here in December

While it was a unique experience, it's a one and done for me. A few notes on my stay; THE NEGATIVE: - The Tiny Houses were placed very close together. While initially reviewing the map, I expected a sprawling estate - but I think you could see the entire place from just about anywhere. - The Tiny Estate is located within a residential area - a lot of the area backs up to people's back yards and private homes. I imagined somewhere more secluded. - Community areas are set up right in front of houses, so it seemed a bit awkward to be using a picnic table in front of someone else's tiny house. - The house was dirty. The floor, the couch, the kitchen utensils/dishes, the provided linen (sheets & towels), and even the toiletries were dirty. - There is hot water, but it's minimal and sporadic. - A binder with info was provided, but it was outdated and rugged - could use an update. THE POSITIVE - Dogs are welcome for a small fee. - Tiny Homes have air conditioning. - No contact check in. - Great overall area - Lititz and Downtown Lancaster are totally worth checking out and only a short drive away. - Internet provided & worked fine. Overall, the concept is cool but the execution is lacking. It also appears that they're selling off the Tiny Houses, which could explain some of the issues around cleanliness. If you treat this like a camping trip (or like to camp), you might have a much more enjoyable experience.
