    A look inside The Sunset
    Larissa J.

This place is awesome!!! We absolutely adored our tiny home and would mist definitely come back again!! There are so many Tiny Homes to choose from and the community is so inviting. When you check in, they give you a welcome pack of pretzels, popcorn, and coasters! So stinking cute!! In addition to the adorable, surprisingly spacious homes, they also have fire pits and hot tubs available within walking distance from all Tiny Homes. We stayed at The Sunset and it was so comfortable and cozy. The only issue is that there was no table to sit at for a meal or games so we had to sit on the floor. There is a big space available for a table and they provide you with TV trays but it's not the same. The only issues we had were with the front door it was super tricky to close/lock and parking. They have two spots for both Tiny Homes and unfortunately the House next to us took both spots so that was annoying. And we got there after a ton of rain so the place was super muddy but they have shoe mats which is helpful. The bed was super comfortable and my husband had one of the best sleeps of his life in a hotel setting! So kudos there! Oh and they have electrical outlets near the beds which is super important when you have a c-pap machine! We will be coming back and I usually don't visit the same place twice!!!

I have been interested in tiny homes for some time and was thrilled to stay in one for a weekend. I wanted to know if this could truly be a possibility for me. The house was cute; I stayed in the Heartland. I picked this one because it allows dogs and has a bedroom downstairs, so my very old dog would not be tempted to climb stairs (no dogs allowed upstairs). Like I said, the house is cute and it did give me a decent understanding of what life could be in a tiny home. I would need more built in storage, but this house was built for guests, not living in. The community is also wonderful with two ponds, seating, games, and a variety of homes to see from the outside. Unfortunately, this is where the good stuff ends. I will say that the person responding to my messages that things were not right, was responsive, even if little to be done. The over arching issue was that the house was not clean. The floor, in particular, was filthy. We wore socks the entire time because it was so gross. I also noticed right away that the house is not level. Which means the bathroom sliding door would not stay closed unless I magically somehow wedged it into place. The first problem we noticed is that the kitchen is not especially stocked. We brought a watermelon, but there is no cutting knife or cutting board. Kind of need a knife for cooking and they are not provided. The next problem happened when we turned down the bed to go to sleep. It was dirty. I texted the responsive number and they said clean sheets were in the cabinets. Well, those sheets were in a pile and not folded, so I thought they were not clean. But they smelled clean. So I changed my own sheets and got 10% off my stay. The final big problems revealed themselves the next morning. There was no hot water and the wi-fi was off. Once again I texted for help and a new propane tank was hooked up and the wi-fi reset. But I never did get hot water for more than 30 seconds. So I never got to shower. A tent would have been a cheaper rent if I wanted camping conditions.

BEWARE - FILTHY AND DISAPPOINTING I wish I would have been more diligent before booking here. There are many warning signs and honest reviews that align exactly with our experience. I hope this review will prevent you from falling into this same trap and wasting your hard earned money.  Please Note: It's clear from our experience and interactions, as well as those of other recent reviewers, that Tiny Estates is absolutely aware of these reoccurring cleanliness and rundown rental issues, but is refusing to deal with them.  Our Experience: We arrived late in the afternoon, around 4 pm, and after dropping our bags in the tiny house, decided to go for a walk around the pond, to take in the many different tiny houses. After returning to the tiny house, we were really excited to settle in a cozy up - but that's where the excitement ended.  Upon walking in and turning on the lights, we noticed scuffs and stains all along the walls and floors. But we figured, "okay, it's definitely been used, no big deal". Then we discovered dirty, grimy cups in the kitchen area, gross! Then we tried to relax on the couch, but found it was covered in brown stains - yuck! We then checked out the bedroom and - oh my! The mattress and sheets were covered in brown stains and other debris. Even the "clean sheets" had other people's hair covering it! The headboard and wall was filthy, stained, and had ants crawling all over it.  Let us be clear - we are campers & hikers - we are not easily scared away by a little dirt or bugs... But given COVID-19, and the MULTIPLE communications during booking process that said everything will be "cleaned and sanitized" - we expected a clean and hygienic room to stay in, which is no where near what we got. If the sheets and glasses weren't clean, then how could we trust that it was properly sanitized considering the pandemic?? We couldn't and we didn't feel safe. After writing a long email with several photos, we packed up and left, after no more than 3.5 hours. Tiny Estates responded by claiming "they didn't see any of the issues we reported"  despite all of the photos provided. Then later admitted "things get and missed and stuff happens" - but actively refused to make the situation right. We aren't the first people to have this experience either; apparently it's happened to several others before us. Given that this business is charging top dollar ($160+ a night), this level of disregard is absolutely unacceptable. We were professional during our interactions and hoping they would do the right thing and issue a refund - but they refused. CAUTION: DO NOT STAY HERE.

Birthday Set Up for my friend
    Lyle B.

We went to the Amish Dutch Country and stumbled upon this property while looking for a place to stay to celebrate my friend's Birthday. The tiny houses are pretty cute, equipped with heater and AC, a bathroom with shower, and a mini kitchen. I believe each cabin has a different concept and some are privately owned, we stayed at The Skyline cabin. The estates are situated in a gated community, they have a couple bathtubs in the property which are for everyone and are pretty much far from the rest of the Cabins specifically ours which is a downside. Lake needs some cleaning too for it is swarmed with algae. They also have outdoor fireplaces and grillers. Also, they are pet friendly and charged $25 for our dog. Overall a good place to stay especially for first timers.

This place was phenomenal. The check in was easy. Everyone we met was helpful. Our Tiny House the "Skyline" was exceptionally clean and was plenty roomy enough for the 3 of us. The fire pit was easy accessible and we made good use of it. They also had a couple hot tubs that we never got the chance to enjoy just because we didn't have the time. The Tiny Estates is a short drive away from Hershey Park. We will definitely be back to stay here.

Me , my mom and my sister stayed in the monarch. This is such a unique place. It is not a cabin it is not a hotel or camp.It is your own place in a tiny home with everything you need.We loved walking during the cold night. They have fire pits propane and wood They have 2 hot tubs everybody could share. We did it late at night so me and my sister were all alone It was such a nice quiet nite looking up at the stars. They have a fishpond, biking and place is dog friendly Lots of places to go .Near Hershey Park .We are coming back.

The Chairman tiny home. It has three separate sleeping areas (including the pull-out sofa) and felt very spacious.

Our tour and overnight stay were so much fun. We loved looking at many different styles of tiny houses and the fun features of each one. We used the hot tub and also fished on the property. It is a very peaceful property and seems like a wonderful and simple way of life. The check-in process was very easy and they even gave us locally made pretzels and popcorn as a welcome gift. Everyone should definitely book an overnight stay and tour before considering building a tiny house to experience the different builders styles and features that they want. My family will definitely be back again when the snow is falling. I can't wait!

What an amazing property! We loved staying here in the smallest tiny house - less than 145 square feet - and can't wait to come back to try out lots of the other options. What a fun way to get to test out the small footprint lifestyle. The team who manages the property are super sweet and considerate, too. Can't wait to return!

The concept of these houses is really cool and innovative way to change up your getaway, however it is really not up to par. These houses are extremely dirty, the other reviews below talking about how filthy this place are very accurate and the staff and people responsible for handling these matters are extremely short and unhelpful. The houses themselves are very cute but very on top of each other but despite that the amount of bugs crawling around inside your home make you feel like camping in a tent would be a luxury. It feels like you are sleeping in a tent with the latch wide open. There was a hole somewhere in our ceiling which not only brought in leaking water but additionally ants crawling all over the mattress and floor, all they placed a tiny ant trap to try and stop the issue. Additionally, moths, lightening bugs, spiders, all these things do not make you want to sleep around comfortably. I understand bugs get in everyone's home but not to this amount of them. We could not even use the top bed due to these conditions which did not make our stay very comfortable for any of us involved. The floor make your feet feel extremely dirty, better bring socks. We could not even watch a movie at night because lightening bugs were clinging to the television and flashing their lights, we kept having to get up. These homes do not have any utensils or salt. Bring your own if you plan on cooking, towels were extremely stained and dirty. You could feel they weren't clean, they were used and rolled back up. Hot tubs we were excited for probably have not been cleaned in over a year. So dirty. We stayed in the Serenity for those wondering but I really don't think it's worth your money or health to come here. I guarantee they do not wash the sheets which makes us feel even more disgusting especially during this pandemic of COVID-19.
