The rooms are cozy country style with Queen size beds only no bathtubs but all with their own private bathrooms. Not a place for small children or rowdy groups/persons. No TV no radio no noise just nature and the creaking planks. The breakfasts were spectacular as much as possible is farm to table nothing is wasted. Absolutely lovely and recommended. Because of a prior cancellation, we were able to get an incredible rate. We also agreed to opt out of the usual breakfast. Instead, they had food set out for us prior to our arrival, which allowed for us to have the entire place to ourselves during our stay! City House was in a great location directly across from the river and within walking distance to some great restaurants in the Historic District. Even though we never met the hosts, they were extremely helpful and accommodating, especially when it came to the breakfast they left for us. My boyfriend told them that I had a gluten allergy, and they were kind enough to provide us with gluten-free (and delicious!) blueberry muffins and gluten-free granola, along with hard boiled eggs and a great assortment of yogurts and fruits. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect stay in Harrisburg, and I hope to return again in the future!

Spending a week exploring Hershey and the surrounding areas has been on the list of want to see for a very long time and recently we had the opportunity to do just that. We had so much fun visiting with Samantha, she is the perfect GM, hostess, breakfast chef and baker. Her bubbly and friendly personality made our stay extra special. We were in the Napoleon Room, which is very private with a private staircase leading up off the kitchen. The room was huge, immaculately clean and so very comfortable. The Inn is filled with antiques, is warm, cozy and extremely welcoming to her guests. The basement has a nice pool table and a beautiful room with a long dining table, perfect for a small wedding reception or reception dinner. The grounds are beautiful and it is the perfect spot to stay for a few days or longer to explore the Hershey area. We felt right at home. Our breakfasts included, eggs benedict, scrumptious frittata and quiche along with yogurt, fruit and muffins with juice. There are fresh baked cookies and muffins with coffee and tea in the breakfast room all day for your snacking pleasure. There is plenty of parking, even a charging station for your electric vehicle. The Inn is centrally located to Hershey and the surrounding areas. We had the pleasure of meeting the owners one afternoon and they are lovely people who truly care about making the Inn comfortable and beautiful for their guests. We had the opportunity to see the other suites when guests were not checked into the rooms, each one is gorgeous with antiques, you can't go wrong with any room in the Inn. We absolutely will stay again, and you should book a stay and go. Thank you Samantha for truly making our stay special.
