Recently tried this spot and loved it! You build your own bowl with protein, veggies and sauce. We don't have many Korean options in Temecula, so this was really refreshing! The owner is fantastic- friendly, inquisitive and kept us entertained while we waited for our food. Heads up - they love anime! We instantly clicked when he showed us his cool manga wall above the grills. If you're into anime, he's definitely down to talk about it. The food was healthy, served in large portions and was a very fair price. Definitely stopping by again!

Monday, 11-11-2024: It was Veterans Day and I had just picked up a pair of shoes that were repaired at a nearby shoe repair store. I was famished and had heard about this place from Yelp reviews. There was a little line when I stepped in. The place was not very big but it was tidy. The young man, who took my order was very friendly & helpful in explaining the different types of sauces. It didn't take long to assemble my tasty bowl. The servings for me were huge that I could only eat part of it since it was filling. It was fresh & filling. I look forward to returning!

I've been seeing Red Pine Cafe all over FB and wanted to give it a try. It's off Temecula Parkway & Kevin Place, so the location is a bit tucked away, but we found it. The inside is small and has 5 tables to eat at. There's additional seating outside too. I would describe the food here to be like a Korean version of a Chipotle bowl. You pick your base, protein, veggies, and sauce. We got 2 bowls both with brown rice, 1 with chicken, the other with beef... all veggies, and all sauces. Each bowl comes with a side of kimchi and pickled cucumbers. It was pretty good!! I love that the sesame seeds were mixed with sunflower seeds. The veggies in it were good as well as the sauces they used. The chicken had a smoky taste to it like it was grilled over open flame. The beef was marinated in what tasted like Korean bulgogi sauce. Overall, we were very satisfied with our bowls. Definitely would come back to this place. What was intriguing to me was that on FB, the owner talked about his story, that after graduating from Great Oak HS, he opened this restaurant. That's actually pretty impressive!!

A cute little spot that hit the spot! We are from the homeland/North Menifee area, but found ourselves in Temecula for an appointment. After Appt, we are starving and found this little gem. It's a small establishment but with a deliciously tasty menu. We got the protein bowl which you get to style with as many condiments and feelings as you want. I'm not in the area often, but if I find myself here, I would purposely make a trip to get another protein bowl and these delicious brown sugar milk teas that were amazing! I definitely recommend the spot and would encourage others to try it.

Delicious food! Located in the Temecula Creek Village Shopping Center, the Red Pine Cafe is a convenient and healthy dining option. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. We visited on a Friday night just before closing and were the only ones there when we arrived. We had two dogs with us so we chose to sit outside. The build your bowl process was as simple as 1,2,3 and 4. At the counter, you pick your base, protein, veggies and toppings. Our food was ready quickly, in good portion and delicious! They used quality ingredients that were fresh and tasty. Service was friendly and helpful. Pricing was reasonable. We will definitely visit again.

I finally got to try Red Pine today and was not disappointed. It was busy, I was about to leave, but a nice woman encouraged me to wait because she said it was definitely worth the wait and she drives from Wildomar just to come here. I succumbed, ordered the tofu bowl and was glad I stayed! The food is delicious and made to order. Service is expeditious and friendly. Nice and clean little storefront with seating. I will be back!

This place needs to be on YOUR LIST to try! This place needs way more customers coming in and trying it, it's similar to a chipotle but taste a million times better if you like Asian flavors and nice protein bowls with veggies of your choice, you get to choose white/brown rice, protein choice, veggies choice, and top it off with some Asian flavored sauces! Put it on your list, make your perfect protein bowl! Small business, owned and managed by amazing employees that are friendly and provide great service and great food!

The food was good but not great. Chicken was dry and portion was lacking for the price paid. I asked for all vegetables but they didn't put bean sprouts. Didn't dig the location and ambiance. This is the kind of food I like but I feel that they could do better. I was in the area so I tried their food especially of all the hype about it on Facebook. This place is out of the way for me since I really don't drive to South Temecula. 14.89 for the bowl. If you want beef $2.50 extra.

Came here for our second visit, been craving this place for months, but we rarely come out this far. Hubby got the beef bowl and I tried the pork bowl, both fully loaded with yummy veggies, toppings and sauces. The side of kimchi and pickled cucumbers are bomb, the cukes are definitely my favorite. Tried the Vietnamese coffee today, so good, thick, creamy and flavorful. We also had the honor of meeting Derrick, he let us sample a side of mixed greens with this amazing dressing he had just made, so ono! The portions are very generous, each bowl can easily be split into 2-3 meals, it's worth every penny!

We were on our way for a day of wine tasting and fun with friends. This is a great spot to grab a bite before a day in Temecula wine country. Absolutely delicious food! Super healthy I don't eat meat so I do get the tofu and egg bowl with the spicy sauce. The kimchi is delicious also. My boyfriend got the Vietnamese tea and it was to die for. Most importantly the owners are absolute sweethearts they're so friendly and kind and it really feels good to support a local business. Finally was able to make it to this hidden gem, and I'm so glad I did. Bowls are fully customizable, I ordered no rice, chicken for my protein, all veggies ( edamame, carrots, corn, bean sprouts, mushrooms, spinach). Simple,fresh and quick healthy option for my lunch. Wonderful taste. I added the cucumbers and kimchi both tasted excellent and made a nice addition to my bowl. Highly recommend . The owner was friendly and service was quick. Read the reviews. Turned around two miles down the road. So glad I did. The food is great. The service is excellent. They are so kind. We got it to go. One hour drive home. Still great! Ordered one bowl for two people. White and brown rice, gochu, beef, all veggies,seeds, with kimchi on the side and to die for pickled cucumbers. Mixed them all together. Heaven! read more

Tried this place for the first time today because I wanted a protein bowl but didn't want to drive too far...and it was delicious! The staff was really nice and friendly. The menu was simple. A bowl with the basic proteins. Add rice. Veg and sauce. Kim Chi. cucumbers and seeds are available. We had chicken bowls with steamed rice , veg: carrots, bean sprouts, spinach, mushrooms, corn and seeds. The chicken was delicious, grilled, tender and not dried out. I liked the variety of vegetables, I was very impressed by the kimchi.They do make their own, not very spicy but it had a very good flavor. I really did enjoy the pickles . The sauces were good. The sauce we had was sweet with a hint of spice. It was a good compliment for the chicken. Service was pleasant. Everything was explained. The restaurant is small but adequate. Price was very good. It is difficult to find food for 2 for $30. Upon reflection I would like a large side of the pickle and kimchi I really enjoyed them and they complimented the meal. read more

Really good, fresh food! I got a steak bowl with everything on it and a Vietnamese coffee. The meat was tender and juicy with the perfect amount of crisp. The veggies were all fresh and tasty. My wife and I eat out almost everyday. This is a small, but very good restaurant. Derek (the cook) was very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. We would definitely go there again. I got a bowl with brown rice, mushrooms, chicken and some other vegetables and egg. My wife got the same thing, but also pickles and kimchi. She thought they were great, especially the kimchi. The best she ever had in her words. It wasn't as, "potent" as typical kimchi, but was very flavorful and fresh. read more

This was our second time here, and we chose this place because we are now Vegan. The vegetable bowl with Tofu as the protein tasted great! I got the Curry bowl with Tofu and I was pleasantly surprised that it was 100% Vegan! It's hard to find good tasting Vegan food in Temecula, but this place checks all the boxes! read more

I've been looking for a quick, cheap, healthy place for the LONGEST TIME!! The pork belly was succulent and juicy and the veggies were plentiful and refreshing. The gochu sauce had a good balance of spicy and sweet (but not too sweet) and the portions are huge. Also, do NOT forget the kimchi and pickles! The worker there said both were housemade and paired so well with the bowl. Safe to say, I'll be coming back. P.S. We were on our way back from climbing at Idyllwild and needed to fuel up on some plant based, whole food. We appreciated the clean, tasty, and creative vegan (meat options are available) bowls with an Asian flair. The gochu sauce was nicely flavored with a hint of spice. Great food and something different from my usual Flame Broiler. Owner is a young guy who is super friendly and enjoys chatting with his customers. He will remember you after going in one time. My daughter is also a fan now after trying kimchi. I am hoping they will expand their menu in the future to offer smaller sizes. The bowl is quite big which is great for those with a big appetite but would like another option especially if I am not going straight home to be able to refrigerate leftovers. read more

Everything about Red Pine is worth 5 stars. Every single time I have gone here to eat, I have left feeling satisfied. To start, customer service is clearly a priority. Derrick, the owner, is up front most of the time interacting with his customers and making food himself. I have come to think of him as a friend after all of our fun conversations. Just recently I came in totally hungry and worn out, and he gave me a bit extra and made an effort to lighten my mood (literally reset the tone of my day). Beyond service, his food is healthy and delicious. He uses fresh ingredients that him and his staff prep each day-- you can taste the difference. While it may seem a bit pricey at first, the portion size and quality make the food well worth it. The drink menu also has great variety; my favorites are the Vietnamese coffee and pomegranate refresher. I would say the Vietnamese coffee has a similar caffeine level to a Starbucks cold brew. Red Pine is a casual and clean place with comfortable indoor seating and ample outdoor seating. Overall it has a nice ambience and is really clean. I have come by to study and just hang out from time to time and it was pleasant. Im pretty sure the back seating area is near an outlet read more

It was a little hard to find the restaurant, especially since the sign is not right over the entrance, but just next to it where the small market is. Look for the Winchester Center sign next to the market. Since we arrived before it opened on a Sunday, we browsed in the market until it was tine to eat. We had a reservation for 6 of us, so they seated us at the one round table near the front. There is another longer table next to it on the left side where there's a colorful mural. The rest of the tables are booths. The restaurant is spacious and roomy and very clean. You can order items from the menu or build your own hot pot which is AYCE. Everyone in our party chose the hot pot. We were each brought a small blue pot that contained the sterno to heat up the soup and the broth of our choice inside. We also placed our meat order with our server. We went to the back-left corner to grab our veggies, and some other things to add to our hot pot. Our server came by often to take more meat orders, clear empty plates, and check if we needed more broth or if our sterno needed more fuel. Our server was delightfully cheerful and friendly. She was helpful and answered all of our questions, especially when we had to choose our broths. (Forgive me for forgetting your name!) I highly recommend calling ahead to make a reservation if you have a larger party. Accessibility notes: most of the tables are padded booths. If you can transfer and slide, you should be okay. Otherwise, see if you can sit at a table that has chairs on the left side. The restaurant is spacious enough to park your mobility aid (or stroller for babies) near you. The restrooms are located in the back-left corner, 2 single stall restrooms, one for men and one for women. There is enough room for someone to enter with their mobility aid and a helper companion. You can enter the restaurant without climbing a step, but I don't recall where the handicap accessible parking was since we used a regular parking space and I climbed up the curb. No one from the family is local, but my brother-in-law chose this restaurant because it's somewhere where we can meet in the middle. We all loved it, and are adding it to our rotation when we need to come together for a celebration.

I came in around 4 PM, so it wasn't packed, but the people inside looked happy, the restaurant was clean, and the whole place just had a really good vibe. Sometimes you can tell within a minute whether a place cares about what they're doing, and this felt like one of those spots. There's a reason they've got 4.7 stars. If anything, I'd say that rating is deserved.

Going on a weekday was definitely the right move, and I'll stick to weekday visits for sure! As for the food and drinks--everything was delicious! You have to try the mimosa flight. I literally don't have a single negative thing to say about this place. I can't wait to come back!

In many ways, the assessment of a critic is effortless. We take minimal risks while assuming a position of authority over those who present their creations and themselves for our judgment. We may derive pleasure from negative critiques, both in the act of writing them and in their consumption. However, the harsh reality that we, as critics, must confront is that, in the grand scheme of things, an average creation holds more significance than our designation of it as unworthy. Yet, there are moments when a critic genuinely ventures into uncertainty, and that is when we encounter and champion the new. The world often treats nascent talents and fresh creations unkindly. The new requires allies. Recently, I encountered something unprecedented, an extraordinary dining experience from an unexpectedly remarkable establishment. To claim that both the meal and its creator have shattered my preconceived notions about exquisite cuisine would be an immense understatement. They have profoundly affected me. Previously, I openly expressed my disdain for the famous motto of Chef Gusteau: 'Anyone can cook.' However, only now do I realize, what he meant. Not everyone can become a great artist, but a great artist can come from anywhere. It is difficult to imagine more humble origins than those of the genius now cooking at red pine cafe, who is, in this critic's opinion, nothing less than the finest chef in America. Vegan friendly spot. Came here with my mom to pick up her new car from a Temecula dealership. We got the Build Your Own Bowl with tofu protein and all the veggies. The bowl comes with their vegan kimchee and Taiwanese cold cucumber and both are so good. I felt like my entire meal was nutritious and filling.
