I got a 75 minute massage with Mary today. I'm 5 weeks along. Mary was amazing, my lower back pain has definitely gotten better. I originally came to treat that and to see if there is something to be done about my swelling feet and finger. She explained to me what she was doing and positioned me so comfortably on the bed. After the session, the swelling definitely went down but after walking around for few minutes it starting to show again. I need continuous sessions to see a difference. Today was my first time at Red Moon Wellness and I had an incredible 70 minute prenatal massage from Burcu! I felt extremely safe coming into the space. Upon arrival, they took my temperature. You have to leave your shoes at the door which is absolutely acceptable for me. It made the space feel even cleaner. They take Covid precautions very seriously, which made me feel safe. I first tried Lena's massage while pregnant, although I hope to continue getting massage now that my little one is here. I have received a lot of massages over the past few years and Lena's stand out for sure. Her work is very muscle specific, and honors your pain threshold instead of making you black and blue or feeling like you just got some sort of weird oily rub down. Her office is calm, with attention to detail in terms of temperature, sound and privacy. She can be difficult to get last minute appointments with, but when I had a sudden tragedy in my life and really needed an amazing massage, she managed to fit me in that same week. I received a 90minute prenatal massage as a gift, and unfortunately was unable to go in for the massage until 14 weeks postpartum. I'm glad it happened this way as my body was never more in need of rejuvenation after pregnancy, labor, and 3 months of caring for a newborn (and all the aches and sleeplessness that accompanies that). Kari not only paid special attention to all of the areas I mentioned but really tuned in to areas that needed relief I wasn't even aware of. It was the most individualized massage I've ever received. I've had two massages here-- prenatal and postnatal w/newborn. Both were fantastic massages that left me relaxed! My only complaint is that though I arrived early for both massages, the masseuses did not take me into the room until after my appointment time started. After getting undressed and settled, the massages started about 10 minutes or so late but ended on time, so they wound up being shorter than what I booked. read more

Amazing prenatal massages at Red Moon! I've had both the prenatal and birth prep massages during my pregnancy and each was excellent. Prenatal massages can be somewhat weak, but the experience at Red Moon was wonderful and some of the best massages I've had ever! They have a few extra procedures in place due to Covid (incl temp checks, masks on throughout, no waiting inside) which made my feel safe throughout. I also saw the therapist begin to sanitize the room after my massage which gave me extra comfort that they're very good with hygiene. Will 100% be returning for their postnatal treatments too! read more

I am 32 weeks pregnant with my first baby and experiencing the normal discomforts that comes with being pregnant- aches and pains, trouble getting comfortable, and stress of unknown. Had Kelly and she was really good. I am a 63 year old competitive sailor with many challenging injuries, unexplained lower back pain and I am post-op for arthroscopic knee surgery. Oy! I have really been suffering and frustrated with the chronic pain. I've been seeing Lena for about a year now and have been meaning to write a review. Lena is a very caring massage therapist and someone who seems to really understand the body versus other therapists I've seen who seem to do "one size fits all" massages. I have been having issues with my left shoulder and whenever I leave her I feel better. Unfortunately, I've found out I may be dealing with an injury and may need other care to fix the issue. She never pushed ideology on me, but her knowledge prompted me to ask myself and my caregiver questions which led me to choose a birth at a birthing center.
