Lois and her team put on a truly incredible evening for me and my girlfriends (15 of us total) during my bachelorette weekend in Santa Fe. They were all so kind and accommodating (especially with our variety of food restrictions). The chili-roasting and tortilla making portion of the evening was such a fun way to start the night. When we moved into the house we were blown away by the beautiful set-up they put together in our rental house - it was like we were in a private restaurant. Each course was insanely delicious and exceeded all my expectations. Everything about the evening was amazing and a unique experience I'll never forget. It was my favorite part of the whole weekend. I HIGHLY recommend Red Mesa Cuisine for any special occasion!

Lois and Walter catered my birthday dinner in Santa Fe in December and it was perfect! The food itself was truly outstanding, and Lois took the time to tell us about each course and the significance of the ingredients throughout the meal. My friends and family all said they had never had such a beautiful meal and continued raving about it all weekend. Lois and Walter went above and beyond and sang me a traditional Native American birthday wish and presented me with a beautiful signed cookbook. Did you know Lois' cookbook won a James Beard Award?!? Start to finish it was a perfect night and I can't want to plan my next party in Santa Fe with Lois!

Let me just start by saying that 5 stars are not nearly enough! My mom wanted to celebrate her…read morebirthday in Taos with her closest friends and my sister and I wanted to throw her a special dinner to celebrate. We came across Chef Kualani's page and I am endlessly grateful that we did because the entire process could not have been more perfect. From the very beginning, Kualani was incredibly warm, communicative, and endlessly accommodating. She was open to any requests we had but also came up with the most unbelievable seasonal menu for the dinner (because I had no idea where to start). Dealing with her was a pleasure each and every time and she helped me go through all the details so that nothing was forgotten. And the dinner.... THE DINNER. The food was absolutely incredible. I'm still thinking about her spring pea soup with truffle oil. Every course was fantastic. But Kualani is not just a chef, she is a true hostess. She and her partner Richard came into our AirBnb and handled literally EVERYTHING. She brought beautiful plates and flatware so we didn't have to rely on the AirBnb's stash. She decorated the table. She even made my niece a grilled cheese sandwich while she was prepping. And then, at the end of one of the best meals of my life, they cleaned everything up and left the kitchen better than they found it. Having worked in restaurants and catering for many years, I know first-hand that chefs are not always hospitable. It is a completely different skill set and it's the reason restaurants need a front-of-house staff. But Kualani is the rare exception that is truly capable of curating a perfect evening. She has the most amazing energy and could not have been happier with our entire experience. The dinner absolutely made my mother's birthday and I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Masterpiece catered our wedding at Blame Her Ranch in June 2025 and they did an incredible job…read more Multiple people came up to me to comment on how surprised they were because "wedding food isn't usually *good* but this food is delicious!" We did a tasting back in February and everything we had was incredible. I'm a pescetarian so our meal was a burrata salad, corn puddin' (I died and went to heaven when I ate this), eggplant parmesan, and salmon with roasted veggies. For passed appetizers we had watermelon and mozzarella sticks and bourbon glazed meatballs. Then for a late night snack they made hatch green chile mac and cheese (I ate about a pound of the leftovers the next day they were so good) and green chile sliders. When I say truly EVERYTHING was delicious I mean it. Also, their customer service was phenomenal. They arrived on time, made everything fresh, constantly checked in on us, and even helped us set up our tables. We rented dishes and they were sure to collect everything and put it away for pickup appropriately. You're absolutely in good hands if you book them!

This review is strictly for the Santa Fe Opera picnic boxes. This has no bearing on anything else…read morethey might do, particularly anything full-service. And I'll start with the positives--the bison steak was cooked to a perfect medium-rare and held up well while cold. However, everything else about that picnic box was somewhere from disappointing to bad. The cold somen noodles were gummy and stuck together, and I've quite literally had better on an airplane. The poached spinach was underseasoned. The "Japanese pickles" were inexplicably pepperocinis, which have nothing Japanese about them. The raw spinach leaves were just there. And it cost $35 but I've made the same (minus the meat) for under $5.
