The majority of the US textile industry went to China. One of the new owners is originally from China who understands the market decided to bring in some high quality garments and assessories that are not mass produced. The problem is the care instructions on these garmets are not in English. Not that everything in the store is from China ether. This only amounts to a small percentage of their overall inventory. Margaret O'Leary. Paper Label, pink wheels and indigenous are still carried along with locally designed clothing and other well-known lables. It's the idea that China produced clothing is somehow both inferior and cheap in quality which is far from being true. With everything there's good and bad. In the case of Crazy Fox they have beautiful silks, Cashmeres and wools from China. If sold under American lables we are accustomed too seeing would cost three times what they have things priced for and their clothing is manufactured in China too. Crazy Fox will eventually have their own labels before long to clear up any confusion with what they are selling. As for the care instructions those are easily translated for the buyers by the associates who are knowledgeable with all the different materials used in making the garments. Don't judge to quickly because they have beautiful and unique items not found anywhere else.

The staff women seemed to be swooning over one customer who said she held a position of status in the medical field. This place, at least on this day, seemed to have that snooty "size you up" upon entry feeling to it. Got this gorgeous indigo, asymmetrical, long jacket that would have cost like five times the price that I paid, if I had purchased it in some of the many boutiques in Santa Fe ( It's just perplexing to be asked over $400 for a simple, nice, cotton shirt). I don't remember the designer's name/brand, but some of the dresses in there were truly a fashion statement; I've never seen that pop-eighties-baroque-like inspired style in any other store before. Most of the places that I visited carry clothing brands that are nice but more into design for senior women, which was a bit disappointing. This is not the case. Fabulous folk-textile jackets as well and the sales lady was really nice. I do think that the website doesn't help much and needs a lot of improvement because it doesn't make any justice to the items they carry.

The cashmere and quality of the ROW merchandise is unmatched: Thick and incredibly luxurious. It's impossible to find anything like it in "regular" stores. The jewelry collections are stunning and I purchased quite a few strands of turquoise and gold for my mother and had them shipped to my home. As nice as this boutique is, the real treasure is Pele, the sales associate that helped us while in the store last month. She's a jewel! She is adorably stylish and fun and even modeled the necklaces to help us come to a final decision. Her warm, sweet and genuine personality made our shopping experience so much fun!
