What an amazing store with an impressive collection of artifacts to boast about . This store has authentic Native American and Hispanic arts and crafts and both old and contemporary items from numerous artists. Edward Curtis pieces are specially noteworthy with some rare prints and unique goldtones. They also have a large selection of vintage jewelry, Mosaic jewelry ,hand made works of art ,pottery and Navajo folk art. The gallery is huge and has many rooms with different collections. This is a place you could easily spend a few hours. We loved the hot air balloon pottery and I made my mind to get it but knowing that we already had limited space for check-in and had previously bought bag full of stuff from other stores , I decided to leave this for my next trip. Really sweet owners too .

Out of all the stores in the historic part of Santa Fe this one had my heart. It's much bigger than it seems and be prepared to take some time meandering through all the nooks and crannies of this local gem. You'll find authentic Mexican pottery, local art, books for kids, and all kinds of treasures. What I loved most about this spot was that they had a range of prices to meet folks where they're at. You could easily spend $5 here or $1,000 here depending on what you're looking at. I loved the local art but it was a bit outside of my budget for this trip, though not as crazy overpriced as I'd seen elsewhere in Santa Fe. I left with a fun book for my toddler and enjoyed window shopping while I was inside. Next time I'm in Santa Fe this will for sure be on the agenda!

If you find Canyon Road too steep for your pocketbook, and you don't even know what a pocketbook is, well, Jamie W. and I found a place that won't stretch your e-wallet too badly. It's a shop that's been near the plaza since 1945, so there is a discernible pride in ownership that you feel as you browse the inventory of local folk art, fine photography, trade blankets, and southwestern jewelry to be found here. Most colorful is all the pottery and small art pieces influenced by the Day of the Dead in their courtyard (photo: http://bit.ly/2KDwn7w). Definitely take a look at owner Bob & Marianne Kapoun's inviting shop. RELATED - Do you know the way to Santa Fe? Here's a collection of places I've visited and reviewed: bit.ly/2I4mWdq

Definitely a different place to shop. A large selection of colorful pottery most, if not all made in Mexico. In addition to the outside area, the is a huge indoor store that houses art and sepia photos, pottery. There is a decent selection of antique Native American blankets, turquoise jewelry, concha belts and pottery. There are so many little nooks and crannies in this old building you can easily get lost. If you're on the hunt for something unique this may be the stop worth making

This is the quintessential Santa Fe store. I love the beauty that lies within this courtyard area. So many colors and handmade goods. I wish I wasn't always flying and limited on what I can take home! On my most recent visit I found the most beautiful handmade heart and hand painted tiles. There are plants, garden items, and other décor. You'll want everything and it's reasonably priced so you can afford to have everything.

Turquoise galore from head to toe!

You can't miss this courtyard of explosive color. Rainbow Man was my favorite spot for local souvenirs and a must-see while your visiting downtown Santa Fe! They have a huge selection of Milagros, ranging from a few dollars to $65. High-quality art, jewelry, books and other Southwestern curios.

Lots to see here, and the variety of items and prices means there's something for everyone. We got a few small things and it was fun to walk around and see what's available.

One of the best shops at the palace of governors. Kind of overpriced but some stuff is reasonable. It had an outdoor area that is the absolute best part. The artwork is incredible.

What a fun place for Mexican tchotchkes! The family running it was so very kind and friendly and his dog, even more so. I personally loved shopping around in the courtyard versus inside the store. Someone mentioned that it is listed as an art gallery; it is not. Rainbow Man is a festive escape off the street and a great photo op!

Nice Entry Way to the store

Most recently my young daughters also enjoyed their first visit here (5/29/2023). The place has changed significantly since the last time I had been there. There is still free parking. Mostly friendly staff - however, I don't remember paying in different areas in the same building. Speaking of buildings, there are several... The newest is one for glass blowing where classes are also offered. That sounds neat. In other buildings are the following: rugs, gifts (art, clothing, jewelry, bags, etc.) and home decor, and furniture. There is also a garden nursery in front of the main buiding in addition to pottery, sculptures, and water fountains of all sizes. I've never been to the location in Albuquerque. The difference between the two locations is that Santa Fe has the Mercado merchants from all around the world - South America, South Asia, Thailand, Nepal, Mexico, and beyond. We bought items from both the Andean Village Arts and Martz Imports. The pricing is confusing at times. Some items aren't clearly marked or not at all. Other items I found to be a bit steep. I'll be back again as long as I can help it.
