This is the biggest consignment store in Santa Fe and it has something for everyone. This place is chocked full of high-quality clothing, shoes, western ware, even leather jackets. One thing that got my attention was their enormous collection of cowboy boots numbering in the hundreds. Tons of jewelry, accessories and vintage items. This place has one of the largest collections of silver turquoise jewelry I've ever seen. The downstairs area is only half the picture, when you head upstairs, there's a lot more waiting for you. They do have one room upstairs where everything is 75% off. Yes there is a large American Indian presence here, but that's not all, I found some vintage car parts, records, numerous books, and lots of glassware. SO many employees, SO FEW employees willing to actually work. I'm genuinely really confused on how they can afford to pay so many people to be there. Probably their crazy prices. But definitely don't ask any of the twenty employees standing around if they can help. They cannot. They are much too busy standing around. I walked in and was not even acknowledged. There were ladies that saw when I walked in. Made my way through the store and finally went to the counter to pay. My purchase was over a $100.00 worth of items. There were two clerks that worked on my check out. The second clerk took my funds and did not give me the large bag I purchased for my goods. I called her out on it, and she proceeds to go through the receipts to validate I really paid for the large bag. Finally, the first clerk confirmed that the large bag was indeed on my ticket. What does the second clerk do? She puts the large bag on the counter, and I had to package my own goods!!!!! I have never been treated so poorly at any establishment is Santa Fe. Double Take, you give the Santa Fe Plaza area a bad name globally. Be careful who you treat poorly. Go watch the movie title Pretty Woman. I am a 36 veteran of a global company and have interactions with colleagues in over 10 countries. Would I ever recommend your place? I don't think so. What is really sad is I went to another establishment in town and told them what happened. The lady at the establishment tells me she hears from other customers as well how poorly people are treated. If this establishment closed, I would rejoice. I think this place is a disgrace to the other local Santa Fe businesses as you give the area a bad reputation. Stop judging based on how someone looks. Even my husband wanted to shop here after walking by their interestingly decorated window displays. He gave us thirty minutes which was long enough for him to find a wool western shirt, bolo tie and arrowheads. I bought Durango boots and several gorgeous velvet long skirts. Flo and Eugenia were such friendly, helpful employees. Noreen checked us out. They opened thirty minutes late this morning and made me wait several more minutes while they moved furniture outside to display. Some employees were snotty and condescending. No need for that. They have clothes and boots for children, men and women. Some items are new but most are secondhand. They have a designer boutique. Lots of dishes, jewelry, books, toys and puzzles. Next time hopefully I'll make it upstairs to the discount clothing and furniture areas. read more

Good selection of secondhand consignment clothes and they have a back entrance called "Double Take Encore" which is where all the western wear is (mostly shirts, boots, hats, vests, belts). I found it a bit overpriced (and I'm from Seattle so that is saying something). That being said, when they tag each new item, it has a color to show when they brought it into the store, and after a certain amount of time, they mark it down by 20% and then eventually they mark it down by 50%, so it I'm not shocked the new stock is overpriced. read more

Scooooore! Shopping isn't my thing and when I do it's usually very quick and no debating. Now throw in Second Hand, Consignment Shopping - forget about it, this Homie Don't Play that Game. However, I decided to humor the wife and go along. We walk up to this well organized warehouse of used and closeout clothing, jewelry, house goods and furnishing. Just about anything that could be sold was being sold. I look at a rack of "good old boy boots" on a rack outside. Hmmm, the price seemed right ($20), the boots fit and when I carried them in to compare with the WALL of other boots the attendant couldn't believe I found a pair for twenty bucks. I asked well whats the average price of other used pairs; $100 to $900. Sold. I put them on again, perfectly broken in, they stayed on the rest of the day. Now, I was done shopping and I continued to browse with a smirk of content. Prices were very reasonable and the staff extremely helpful, more than willing to help you find the best fit bargain. read more

We came in this consignment store just to look around. Some of the clothes and shoes seemed extremely overpriced for used clothing and shoes that show wear and age. However they do have a large selection of vintage western wear if that's your thing and also a huge selection of cowboy boots. They have jewelry that's beautiful and unique as well as specialty pieces. We looked at a belt buckle that was silver with stones for over $1,000 that I know you could find in old town Albuquerque for a lot less probably for a couple hundred dollars, but they might be priced a little more for tourists than for New Mexicans. They have a pretty large children's section, a designer women's clothing section, and upstairs they have everything for home decor you could imagine from furniture to beautiful and unique pottery pieces and amazing art work. read more

They will tell you that the 90 consignment doesn't apply to jewelry AND the store is not supposed to keep the goods like they do with clothing if it doesn't sell within 90 days.
