We came into The Cat to do some thrifting. :) we were so impressed by everything here. Their selection of items were in great condition, their changing rooms were spotless and their floor was well organized. The staff were friendly and helpful and we enjoyed ourselves. They feature some great art and goods from New Mexican artists! The proceeds go to animals in need. I hope that this can become a must do for not just locals, but those coming out of state! Family member found a gorgeous western style embroidered leather jacket for $35. It's really, really nice and as family said, in LA this would be at least $100! I picked up a purple hand blown glass vase for $12, maybe a little on the expensive side, but all for a good cause - yay Humane Society! There were other finds to be had in the store - an awesome cowboy hat, some designer shoes. Generally felt like good quality items, worth browsing for maybe a find or two. read more

No longer a real fan...since I used to shop here weekly because the prices were right, now maybe stop in once every 6-months or so. That's because while everything is donated, they now charge as though they're a retail shop and NOT cheap! The tables and shelves are so packed with clutter items and there's very little floor space, it shows that they are not moving merchandise fast enough due to pricing. It's disappointing and don't bother complaining because they'll tell you "it's all for the animals" something I'm beginning to doubt. read more

My daughter and I went in and she found an extremely well-made ski sweater in excellent condition for $35 and I found Italian style, dress pants that fit perfectly and for a great price! We've always been welcomed warmly and thanked for helping to save cats' lives. read more

This place is the resale store that is connected with the Humane Society of Santa Fe & the wonderful best in class shelter that they run. All proceeds from these donated goods go toward the animal shelter. This is the most organized, neat, clean thrift store! The blouses are even organized by color, a nice touch. The volunteers & paid employees were very nice, friendly, & helpful. They had plenty of nice things to choose from, I found the jeans I was looking for to just work in my garden for $8 each. I would definitely recommend that you shop here. read more

hidden gem. love coming in however they are a bit forceful with trying to sell things to you, as in they literally put items i had no interest in into my arms multiple times and walked away, i felt weird and just put them on a random rack. other than that though i love to come in and see what they have to offer. read more

Adorable little shop. Great selection for women. Men's selection is much smaller. Friendly employee explained to us that it's because men don't donate as much. Their goods are gently used. Some of their art and decor items seemed a bit pricey $16 for two bookends, granted they were super unique and fun. I don't think you would find a crazy good steal there, but overall you'll find food deals and the organization and cleanliness of the thrift store make it an enjoyable shopping experience. read more

Not an impressive collection as a whole, but it's probably hit or miss. I did get an excellent dress there, but I don't think I'd go back. The boutique's organization is a little confusing as are the pricing and size organization. read more

This was definitely the worst thrift experience of my life. My first sight upon walking in as a 23 year old male, was the witch like piercing stare of the elderly cashier at the time. I knew immediately that I should not be there. I began to browse the clothing, just to find the highest prices i have ever seen at any low quality thrift store. I was warded away from the meager mens clothing section by a pair of $80 supermarket jeans. However, despite my gut feelings, i was determined not to rule out the cat just yet. The women's section was a tad bit larger than the mens and I began to page through some overpriced shirts. After finding nothing interesting, i looked up to see the elderly white woman staring at me as if i were a finicky potion she was tending to. This continued on as i looked through the rest of the racks. I was interrupted on multiple occasions by the woman practically chasing me around the store asking passive aggressive questions of my well being. After one interaction. She returned to her counter to pick up the phone and whisper into it, i thought nothing of it, until two massive security guards came through the front doors to stand guard around my shopping. When i had seen what small selection there was to see, i walked out with 2 of my friends. During my visit, the store temperature had greatly increased and the over-shirt i was wearing was no longer necessary, so i removed it. However when i began to walk out, i heard a screech behind me, i turned around to see the cashier and security guards nearly sprinting towards me. They pressed me about the over shirt I was currently holding. Soon they made it clear that i was obviously stealing the shirt from their store. I had to defend myself from the loud barrage of accusations by showing them the receipt and tag of the shirt both from another store. I walked out with eyes on my back and thankfully the store as well read more

Really can't say enough about the kind staff and the quality of inventory. Came in to donate some really cute sandals and left with a very rare Le Creuset piece, in perfect condition. It was a thrill to find, and even more exciting was the price! read more

Fun place. Not cheap, but extremely high quality. Plus they usually have a furbaby hanging out. I bought a wide brimmed straw hat for $8, a pair of fashion sunglasses and what seemed like a brand new Coldwater Creek jacket for $12. BF got a thermal top in great shape for $6. Plus a brand new coffee press for $12. There was an RC Gorman signed, framed poster for 40 or 50 bucks. They also have benefit t-shirts with a Santa Fe/cat logo. read more

A cute little thrift shop with nice quality items! I was able to find a few super nice quality items that were all 8$. The prices are very low and the selection had nice things. Everything is color organized and nicely put away which made a nice aesthetic! 10/10 recommend! read more

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. The staff is GREAT. I've donated tons of stuff and purchased everything from a Pendleton jacket to a pair of suede pants for 12 bucks...AND I got the cutest little kitty too. I moved here from Dallas, TX, the home of the flagship Neiman Marcus. Shopping is a contact sport in Dallas!! I gotta say, Look What The Cat Dragged In (Genius Name!!) is the Neiman Marcus of Santa Fe Resale without the sticker shock (or the snotty employees). Whenever I've visited, the sales floor is merchandised in a pleasing, non-cluttered & easily shoppable layout. It doesn't look like a junk store....Or smell like one, even though they usually have a precious kitty on site, ready for adoption. Best of all, I've found some treasures! Fabulous 50's men's shirt, 30's cowboy cigarette snuffer, Ugg boots...I could go on. To sum it up, it's a Santa Fe destination shopping spot for me. On top of all that, there's a Trader Joe's right across the street - and an old-fashioned Furr's Cafeteria, if your in the mood for a smothered Salsbury steak!?! I shop at both Look What the Cat Dragged In stores because I find beautiful and interesting things at both locations. I'm a book hound and this is the only resale or thrift store where the books are organized and alphabetized at least somewhat. The crew is fun and pretty knowledgeable; hard to know everything especially since they carry a little of everything and once again, I love that the money I spend supports the local awesome animal shelter read more

I love this place! I mostly go to the location off Entrada. I very much appreciate being able to donate gently used items to a store that supports the SF Animal Shelter. The folks who assist you are always polite and helpful. You can find some really top of the line stuff here and all your purchases and or donations go to helping critters in care. new management is pricing goods based on 50% of retail prices on the internet, and coming up with ridiculously high prices for donated goods. so this animal charity store is not going to be nearly as much fun. Prices such as $750 for a PLEATHER (not real leather)sofa are going to drive well meaning shoppers away....Sad read more
