Terrible place to shop and to CONSIGN! Both owner and chicks who work for her are terribly rude and should not be dealing with the public. After consigning and purchasing from this store for many years, I was accused of shoplifting when I was forced to remove my own items from this store after owner put someone else's name and account number on the items I consigned refusing to give them back to me. I could not believe that a so-called business owner would treat a longtime customer and consigner in this fashion. There are great consignment stores in Santa Fe. CONSIGNOR BE WARE!!! Owner is short tempered, rude, unorganized, and she looses your clothes. Bringing consignment items to ACT 2 is like being an episode of Seinfeld's Soup Nazi! Took items in and waited in line while Annette reviewed clothes rejecting what she didn't like. I watched her curt attitude to the women before me and I watched her shove all the consignor's clothing on a rack. I wondered how she would keep track of all the items? Well, truth is, she doesn't keep items straight and she doesn't really seem to care. Four weeks latter, I called in to check on my items; owner couldn't find my consign number had no record of what had been sold. She kept making excuses for the mess up and when I finally had enough and confronted her she hung up on me. She called back in 20 minutes and told me they had located my things and gave me two days to pick them up and she hung up on me again. I picked up my items (and a small check) and there in the bag was an article of clothing that was not even mine! SERIOUSLY, TAKE YOUR ITEMS TO A CONSIGNMENT SHOP THAT APPRECIATES THE FACT THAT THE CONSIGNORS ARE THE ONLY REASON THEY ARE OPEN! read more

Glad to know that I am not the only one to think of Annette, the owner, as being a poor business woman and shady in her pay-outs. I live in Bevery Hills and since our few resale shops take only "Size 2's" or smaller, I decided to send my clothes to an area where there would be faster turnover and women with more realistic bodies. Annette was nice at first and then.... didn't return phone calls, did't pay on time, stalled shipping items back for months, even though I was willing to pay for the shipment. After months of calling and being put off, I finally received two boxes back and a check. I called to thank her and SHE HUNG UP ON ME. In my entire life, NO ONE has ever hung up on me. Like other reviewers I found the owner to be curt and rude. I brought in a few purses for consignment and after waiting for a period of time (after being told in an impatient tone she would be 'right with me') she barely looked at the items and rejected them. One was new ($900 retail) and the other barely used ($500 retail). I found her disingenuous. read more

This was a beautifully curated higher-end vintage boutique. The prices reflect the worth of the items, and the dressing room section is just adorable. I only wish there were more bargains in here! The staff was very friendly and helpful, and I did love how they supported local artists too. I did find some steals on jewelry compared to the stores that are downtown. read more

Cute consignment shop off of the Plaza. We were there in the summer so it was a little warm inside but it's been a hot summer. Lots of clothes inside this small location. Don't miss the back area where I found the pieces that I purchased. They have fitting rooms which is really nice. The prices aren't super cheap but still much more affordable than buying these brands full price or even on sale in a retail store. They had several quality brands and not cheaper brands from Walmart or similar places. I'll keep this place on my list of stops the next time I'm in town. read more

Decent store, with an overstocked but interesting selection. You'll find something you're interested in. But, as a consigner, there's no way I could consign here again after going to Art.I.fact. At artifact, I get an itemized, emailed list of items consigned and their list price, so I see what's going for what. I get an email whenever an item sells, telling me the selling price and my commission. At act two, all of this seems to be the house secret. Weirdest of all, after the consignment period ends, items may still be sold, but Act II keeps all of the money! I've never seen another consignment store operate like that. Tried to consign some items. When Annette finally got around to helping me she was very rude and curt. Said she would take two items and after she explained the rules I wanted to ask her what would happen to the items after 60 days since I wasn't going to be in town. She explained again as if she was a recording and refused to hear my question. She then decided she didn't want to consign any of my items. She immediately walked away to help other person ignoring me completely. There are so many consignment places in Santa Fe which I have dealt with before and has friendly and attentive staff. The selection is good, but the owner treats you incredibly rudely, like she is doing you a favor by accepting your consignments. She never actually gives you a list of what you bring in, or the pricing, or what items actually sell for. She accepts an item only to later reject it for some flaw and insists you come in immediately to come get it. If she sells something of yours, she makes you come in for the money or request that it be mailed. If the items don't sell, you must remember to call by an assigned date and tell her you are going to pick them up. Otherwise she sells them and keeps the money. The consignor has to do all the work. The owner is entitled, lazy, and unspeakably rude. She should recognize that her consignors are the backbone of her business, which she herself did not actually start or set up. If you want to be treated professionally and respectfully, consign at Art. I. Fact. The owner there is kind, professional, organized, knows how to run a store and treat her clients with consideration. read more

Santa Fe has so many terrific consignment stores, I prefer shopping for treasures in Santa Fe to the San Francisco Bay Area. Act 2 is one of the best, with interesting clothing, footwear, accessories, and more. It's also a good place to consign because the store keeps good records of everything bought or donated from your original drop off, and offers a discount on things you buy there if you use money from your consignment account. I always find the best things here. Great deals abound! Prices constantly reduced according to how long the item has been in the shop, and further discounts offered on occasion. Go get a pair of $200 jeans for 30-40 bucks... i have on several occasions. I have also gotten a Louis way below the resale rates on ebay, seen several Prada purses, and tried on a pair of Miu Miu's (dang - too big). How does she get this stuff??? It's not all in that vein though.... LOVELY VINTAGE DRESSES if that's your thing (it's mine!!) and plently of current gently used clothing... really ranging in style. JEWELRY!!!!! Brought in items before Covid hit and received a card to check on the status (and arrange payment) for them in a few months, as has been the process in the past. This time when I called--well after the date on the card--I was told that the items had been lost--i.e., never processed in my name. At the time I brought them in the owner went through them, gave me back an item she didn't want--so I know she paid some attention. But then what happened? Did the remaining items get identified with someone else's? Did they not get assigned to any consigner (which would mean that the owner receives full price for them)? Her response was defensive and even insolent. "Well, it happens sometimes." When I attempted to pursue how it could happen, she literally hung up on me. The consigners are half of this business. Indeed there would be no business without us. We need to be treated with respect, dignity and fairness. read more

Of all the shops I have been to. I was shocked at the prices here. I mean $20 for a used shirt is an insult. $50 skirts. Used shoes for $40-50. I dunno what to think but I know that when I am going consignment shopping I am not in Hollywood and the cost equated to what I would pay for items in LA is ridiculous. I know Santa Fe is a go-to town for tourists, but, I am not about to pay $20 for a used shirt. I make my reviews after I visit the place. I dislike Yelp and fully believe this review site to be buyer beware when you are looking for places. But, come on business get with your competitors and study the cost they are charging because you are charging way over the market value for used clothing. read more

Having lived in several places and been to a variety of second hand stores, I would say that ACT Two is truly one of the best I have used. Some of these stores treat you as if you are walking into Saks. Honestly, they make one feel bad about her clothes. This consignment shop is the worst run business in Santa Fe. The owner Annette is one of the rudest I've ever met, her people skills are at an all time low. I took some things in for consignment before the holidays. They were fancy jackets that were completely embellished by Manuel with hand embroidery and crystal. I took them in because they are dressy and perfect for the holidays. When I called today to see if anything had sold the Annette told me she had them in the back and never put them out because "they had a couple of little things wrong". I asked how long they had been in the back and said I would pick them up today. I never got a call from her about this and missed the possibility for them to sell. When I went in to get them I told her how dissatisfied I was with her lack responsibility to her client by not calling me. She cut me off mid sentence and said she was going to pull all my things and that I could pick them up tomorrow. She just called and told me to pick them now and said " it would be a good idea for you to pick them up sooner rather than later" and slammed the phone down. First of all she is selling previously owned and used clothing. They've been worn!! They aren't new and perfect. Second she shows no professional attitude towards her consigners. She should call people if she finds a problem not just put things in the back and not call ! Third she is extremely rude and won't listen to a complaint. As far as I know most businesses want to make things right with a customer. She just throws you out ! I know many women here in Santa Fe who have told me how rudely they were treated by her. I'm on my way for the second time today to pick up my things. The way she made it sound to me was that it was a thinly veiled threat and if I don't she will get rid of them by tomorrow. The owner is not only rude & patronizing but treats consigning clients as though she is doing them a favor when they are doing her a favor by allowing her to sell their items and receiving only 40% of the sale! She comes out receiving 60% of the proceeds for merchandise for which she takes no risk, pays no shipping costs, etc. Decidedly unfair so one store to avoid! read more

If you're in Santa Fe looking for an excellent consignment store I highly recommend Act 2. The shop is not overly large but they have a wonderful selection of clothes. Good-quality and unique styles in every section. The staff there are very friendly and helpful. The prices were very reasonable. I found two beautiful designer shirts for $24 each another one of which was on sale and a skirt in the low $20 range which was a J Jill. I was thrilled with my shopping experience there. Took literally over a thousand dollars worth of purses & a very expensive jacket (which I actually purchased from Act 2) to this store on my last trip to Santa Fe in Sept. 2016, and still have not received any payment from them. Was told the jacket did not sell, and my payment from the purses came to $68.00. Have called twice--"the check's in the mail"...still, nothing. My part in all this is trusting the owner, not listing the items or getting anything in writing, as I have been a customer for several years & assumed I did not need to. Annette is the worst resale store owner in the history of resale! Treated me, her vendor bringing in literally over $6000.00 worth of jewelry, like dirt. Promised to pay and then didn't. Can't keep her books and when things get stolen, she does not want to pay for them. Promised to get payment and paperwork to me before I went into the hospital for heart surgery, then didn't get the paper work to me in time for addition to will, and didn't pay me either. She has cheated me out of my full payment for layaway items and when she sent the wrong check amount, still claims that she only owes me half of what she really does and is going to make me wait for another month to get paid the incorrect amount.
