This is such a fun place to shop......especially if you want to buy souvenirs for the kiddos. They have really lovely door mats and other home decor. You simply must do a Google search of the history of this little shop. It is a Santa Fe staple. I would definitely return. It is right across the road from Pasqual's and just down the road from Coyota Cafe and Cantina. There is no shortage of people watching here. read more

Recently passed through Santa Fe (busy time as it was their yearly fiesta festival) and stumbled upon this place in the downtown plaza. Kids loved it! Neat little hole in the wall place. read more

Some cute things, but slowly some additions aren't exactly family friendly we found out.

This was the absolute cutest shop in the Plaza area in downtown Santa Fe. Tons of gifts and things for kids. Huge selection of trinkets. Staff were busy, so no one spoke to me. And prices were higher than I'd pay for a lot of the items. But it was an adorable store. read more

I just wanna put this here cause I wanna warn everybody that you probably need an hour in Doodlets! And if you are easily overstimulated... You might want to take it in smaller bites. Because it is chock full of fun things! This is my very favorite place to come in Santa Fe to find fun little gifts for people I love. (and i almost always take a little somethin home for myself too. tee hee) Also, if you like funky and old-fashioned candies, this is a great place to look for them . read more

I loved this charming gift shop, stuffed full (& I mean FULL) of cards, gifts, toys and unique treasures! Don't miss the cabinet of miniatures by the front door if you are a dollhouse or miniature fan; I also found some other miniature items around the store in a few places, like the tiny copper pots that I purchased, so keep your eyes open. Lots of fun books for kids and brands like Jellycat plushies. Staff were friendly and helpful, and can be easily identified by their aprons! read more

I really love this shop, which is why this experience was disappointing. I came in right at opening hoping for a relaxed browse, but the store already felt crowded. Toys were scattered on the floor (I nearly tripped), several children and caregivers were seated in the aisles, and three employees were actively stocking shelves the entire time I was there. With the already narrow aisles, I found myself constantly dodging people and inventory, which made moving around uncomfortable and took the joy out of shopping. I completely understand that stocking is necessary, but at opening it would be nice if aisles were clearer -- perhaps stocking could happen before opening, after close, or during scheduled events. I truly want to support local businesses, but experiences like this make it hard not to default to online shopping. read more

Always a fun place! Great retro candy & gum, horse head masks, Gumby and so much more!

Eclectic? This place is the definition of the word. Need something weird or off the wall stop here? This is definitively a must stop. The store is crowded with shelves containing religious icons, Dia de Los Muertes items, dogs as saints, votive candles with a variety of people - movie characters, politicians and the like. Parody books, games, Freda Kahlo, old toys, old candy and so much more. Ya gotta see it to believe it! read more

This store is so perfectly curated. It's got lots of nooks and crannies where little displays show off fun and individual picks. There are toys, books, stickers, post cards, Maileg mice, miniatures, fun and kitschy trinkets, aprons, lotions, bath stuff, and so much more. I really enjoyed my visit and left with quite a few fun things. read more

My favorite store on earth -- so fun! The newest employee Karen is so nice: she showed me around the store and presented her favorite toys. We laughed until our chins hurt, and I felt the warmth and cuteness of this city through my experience at this store. Would highly recommend it! read more

My all time favorite toy store. Fun things for all ages both young and old. I believe it is impossible to leave empty handed. Trinkets and old fashioned toys right next to the modern. There is something for every personality I drive an hour to get this fab place. It's a happy drive. I pick up a large bag of goodies several times per year. This place is iconic! read more

OMG! I went in for a birthday card, and got so much more! There are fun things everywhere. They make it difficult to leave! From cards to celebrity candles to t shirts and socks to unicorns to Mexican hangings to soaps and smelly stuff, the cat and dog themed gifts, to Frida Kahlo inspired items to books, there is no end. I spent a pretty penny, got lots of gifts here. As many times as I've been to Santa Fe, I'd never bumped into this magical place before. Will go back! read more

I don't care what the Beatles claim, money can indeed buy me love. I'll cut 'em some slack. I'm pretty sure the Fab Four didn't have kids when they composed that ditty. (Narrative now shifting to Third Person. All the cool kids do it.) Daddy was in Santa Fe for some stupid work thing, again, and daddy was feeling pretty sorry, because daddy had been working a lot lately. When daddy left Albuquerque in the morning, his little ray of sunshine gave him a serious guilt trip: "I miss you, daddy! I wish you didn't work all the time." The guilt trip was consuming his sub-conscious, and when his convention was over, he wandered out of the hotel and decided to buy himself some love. He opened his Yelp app and searched "toys". Doodlet's Shop popped up, and daddy seriously looked like a zombie as he stared at his phone, trudging the plaza sidewalks, following the map directions. Eventually, daddy found the little hole-in-the-adobe-wall, and man, the place was such a hidden treasure. Wall to wall, nook and cranny, Joy. Damn you, December, thought daddy. 'Tis the season for gifting, and this place is Mecca. So much to buy, so many people to please. What did daddy do? He bought a chintzy lil' token for his kid and a t-shirt for himself, designed by the Mekons, which he wears every Monday. That chintzy lil' token was a wind-up scuba diver for the bath tub. The ray of sunshine loves it. And it bought daddy love. read more

YOU MUST GO HERE. This may be the best souvenir shop I have ever been to. Great selection of toys, gifts/souvenirs, knick knacks, silly gum/candy, artist greeting cards and more. I spent $100 here. I really love unique souvenir stores like this but this one really stood out to me since I really had never seen a lot of the items they carried. Great music and friendly service. Highly recommended!! read more

I heard about Doodlet's many years ago and try to visit every time we're in Santa Fe. The store is jammed with lots of fun toys for kids and adults. The variety is amazing. The staff is helpful, when you need it. What's delightful is you are free to browse without interruption. It's rare I leave without a purchase. There's so much to see and explore. Stop by the next time you're in Santa Fe. It's easy walking distance from the plaza. You may find reminders of your childhood you would like to share with another little one. You may find something fun for yourself. Shop local when you travel. It's the Road Less Traveled! read more

Amazing toy and gift collection! We can't wait to go back! We stocked up! Go check it out.

Doodlet's is a fun place to buy odd and funny gifts for people. This year I bought a small bucket full of gifts for for my nieces and friends' kids. The only change I'd like to see is the price tags. Hard to remove and leave too much residue on the small gifts. Other than that, you'll have a good time shopping here. read more

There's a reason this store has been here for 62 years! If you are searching for treasures for your kids or yourself this is the place. There is something for everyone and the knowledgeable staff will help you find just the right thing.... even for that teenage boy. I couldn't resist taking "mermaid Frieda" home with me to become my traveling companion. Allow a lot of time , as there is lots to look at. And so much of it made me smile read more

Remember the late episodes of Facts of Life? When Mrs. Garrett and the girls ran that shop full of neon flamingos, inflatable palm trees, and kit kat clocks? Doodlet's is like the modern version of that shop. It's full of goofy toys, kitschy wares, random decor, and all sorts of products that just make you smile. It must be great to work there. All day, you would hear customers laughing and half-hollering at each other to "look at this!" and "check this out!". At least, that's what we did when we were there. I only deducted a star because some of the prices seems a *touch* high to me. But I would probably chalk that up to the prime real estate on which the shop is located. read more

I could ping-pong back and forth from Pasqual's to Doodlet's for eternity. Great gifts and things you must have yourself! Excellent selection of gift wrappings and cards- makes it a one stop shop. Wonderful selection of handmade preciousness for children and adults. Milagros, pressed tin, kitchen stuffs, seasonal, and other fun stuff. Total whimsy. Also a selection of ROB RYAN makings. I had a squeeeee melt-down right there. Not a cheap shop, but the selection is top notch- no filler here. read more

What a fun store!! They have tons of cute cards, toys, candy, trinkets, etc. It's definitely a toy store for adults, but kids will find something to look at. They even have some stuff for pets. Seriously, plan a good half hour to look around at everything here, and that still own't be enough. My only complaint is that, like most of Santa Fe, especially around the plaza, the prices are steep. read more

Love this little place. Great place to bring kids of all ages and look around closely at all the aisles because it just is never ending searching through the nooks and crannies. The vibe is a very fun one, you can find gag gifts, and fun toys for anyone here. It's a welcome change to the plazas millions of overpriced stores and like to get something every time I come. Fun little shop! Just outside the plaza. Fun trinkets and gifts at reasonable prices. Employees seemed very nice too

When it comes to Christmas, I go BIG with the stockings. Consequently, I am always on the search for cute stocking stuffers year round. When I walked into Doodlets, I thought I had hit a gold mine. The place is filled to the brim with all sorts of fun gifts. Fantastic store for any age! My adult son and I laughed at card after card, as did an older couple nearby. What did I buy? Cards, magnets, xmas ornament and a recipe book titled, "What The F**K Should I Drink?" What else did they sell? So much! Folk art, kids' toys, whimsy, jewelry... Feel like shopping? You could do a lot here. Bonus: Guys are amused here; take your time. read more
