Eclectic? This place is the definition of the word. Need something weird or off the wall stop here? This is definitively a must stop. The store is crowded with shelves containing religious icons, Dia de Los Muertes items, dogs as saints, votive candles with a variety of people - movie characters, politicians and the like. Parody books, games, Freda Kahlo, old toys, old candy and so much more. Ya gotta see it to believe it!

A greeting card displays a dog and a cat with captions about hugs, set against a wooden background.

My favorite store on earth -- so fun! The newest employee Karen is so nice: she showed me around the store and presented her favorite toys. We laughed until our chins hurt, and I felt the warmth and cuteness of this city through my experience at this store. Would highly recommend it!

This store is one of my all time favorite shops on planet earth! Everything about this little space is sprinkled with magic, cuteness and creativity!!!! It is a haven for creatives who value attention to detail and find joy in little things. Whenever I get to Santa Fe it is mandatory to make a visit to Doodlets!

Favorite store I went to in Santa Fe! Sooooo cool, so much merchandise, loved the selection- I wish I had one in my town!

Toys toys TOYS! - A toy and gift shop displays shelves stocked with board games, craft supplies, and small toys, with organized containers and a wicker basket on top.

OMG! I went in for a birthday card, and got so much more! There are fun things everywhere. They make it difficult to leave! From cards to celebrity candles to t shirts and socks to unicorns to Mexican hangings to soaps and smelly stuff, the cat and dog themed gifts, to Frida Kahlo inspired items to books, there is no end. I spent a pretty penny, got lots of gifts here. As many times as I've been to Santa Fe, I'd never bumped into this magical place before. Will go back!

Wind up toys, sloth, squishy pug head, and some unicorn snot. Score!

Doodlet's is a fun place to buy odd and funny gifts for people. This year I bought a small bucket full of gifts for for my nieces and friends' kids. The only change I'd like to see is the price tags. Hard to remove and leave too much residue on the small gifts. Other than that, you'll have a good time shopping here.

Absolutely charming little store. It's not in the main plaza but one street over in a corner, so you'll have to watch it for it. Lots of cool little toys and gadgets for kids of all ages.

I don't care what the Beatles claim, money can indeed buy me love. I'll cut 'em some slack. I'm pretty sure the Fab Four didn't have kids when they composed that ditty. (Narrative now shifting to Third Person. All the cool kids do it.) Daddy was in Santa Fe for some stupid work thing, again, and daddy was feeling pretty sorry, because daddy had been working a lot lately. When daddy left Albuquerque in the morning, his little ray of sunshine gave him a serious guilt trip: "I miss you, daddy! I wish you didn't work all the time." The guilt trip was consuming his sub-conscious, and when his convention was over, he wandered out of the hotel and decided to buy himself some love. He opened his Yelp app and searched "toys". Doodlet's Shop popped up, and daddy seriously looked like a zombie as he stared at his phone, trudging the plaza sidewalks, following the map directions. Eventually, daddy found the little hole-in-the-adobe-wall, and man, the place was such a hidden treasure. Wall to wall, nook and cranny, Joy. Damn you, December, thought daddy. 'Tis the season for gifting, and this place is Mecca. So much to buy, so many people to please. What did daddy do? He bought a chintzy lil' token for his kid and a t-shirt for himself, designed by the Mekons, which he wears every Monday. That chintzy lil' token was a wind-up scuba diver for the bath tub. The ray of sunshine loves it. And it bought daddy love.

What a fun place for all ages to shop in Santa Fe. Found a few gifts to take home for a special little girl.

Vendors are mostly kind. Their self made products, mostly with turquoise are wonderful. The opaque, blue-to-green turquoise is a mineral. Persian stones from Nishapur (of Iran) is used as a guiding reference for evaluating turquoise quality. Navajo and Hopi tribes are known to produce high quality turquoise jewelry. The top two of the following 4 kinds of turquoise are widely used in Santa Fe area: Sleeping Beauty Turquoise  Kingman Turquoise  Bisbee   Royston  They (including the stores as well) prize Sleeping Beauty for its consistent sky-blue color. However, it's no longer being mined (?), while Kingsman has brilliant blue color, but it isn't as precious as SL due to the fact that they're still abundantly being mined. One native vendor explained how the program work: They've a committee, to determine the eligibility (sometimes vendor has to go before the committee to demonstrate their skills - like making a piece). The covered corridor has 63 spaces, each marks with a white number. If the vendors are more than the spaces, they'll have to do a lottery, which means a particular vendor may not come tomorrow. In General, a particular vendor doesn't come everyday.  On the last day there, I purchased a bracelet from a generous man, who explains the logos are his name and his daughter's. When I pay, he tells me a less amount voluntarily. I was a little hesitate. Although I like bargains and discounts, but I don't ask for it with small vendor, especially with the artist him or herself.  "Are you sure?" I asked. Actually I was not 100% sure what he had quoted me earlier.  "Yes, it looks so nice on your wrist." I paid what he asked. Thank you.
