This was the absolute cutest shop in the Plaza area in downtown Santa Fe. Tons of gifts and things for kids. Huge selection of trinkets. Staff were busy, so no one spoke to me. And prices were higher than I'd pay for a lot of the items. But it was an adorable store.

Eclectic? This place is the definition of the word. Need something weird or off the wall stop here? This is definitively a must stop. The store is crowded with shelves containing religious icons, Dia de Los Muertes items, dogs as saints, votive candles with a variety of people - movie characters, politicians and the like. Parody books, games, Freda Kahlo, old toys, old candy and so much more. Ya gotta see it to believe it!

My favorite store on earth -- so fun! The newest employee Karen is so nice: she showed me around the store and presented her favorite toys. We laughed until our chins hurt, and I felt the warmth and cuteness of this city through my experience at this store. Would highly recommend it!

This store is one of my all time favorite shops on planet earth! Everything about this little space is sprinkled with magic, cuteness and creativity!!!! It is a haven for creatives who value attention to detail and find joy in little things. Whenever I get to Santa Fe it is mandatory to make a visit to Doodlets!

OMG! I went in for a birthday card, and got so much more! There are fun things everywhere. They make it difficult to leave! From cards to celebrity candles to t shirts and socks to unicorns to Mexican hangings to soaps and smelly stuff, the cat and dog themed gifts, to Frida Kahlo inspired items to books, there is no end. I spent a pretty penny, got lots of gifts here. As many times as I've been to Santa Fe, I'd never bumped into this magical place before. Will go back!

Favorite store I went to in Santa Fe! Sooooo cool, so much merchandise, loved the selection- I wish I had one in my town!

I don't care what the Beatles claim, money can indeed buy me love. I'll cut 'em some slack. I'm pretty sure the Fab Four didn't have kids when they composed that ditty. (Narrative now shifting to Third Person. All the cool kids do it.) Daddy was in Santa Fe for some stupid work thing, again, and daddy was feeling pretty sorry, because daddy had been working a lot lately. When daddy left Albuquerque in the morning, his little ray of sunshine gave him a serious guilt trip: "I miss you, daddy! I wish you didn't work all the time." The guilt trip was consuming his sub-conscious, and when his convention was over, he wandered out of the hotel and decided to buy himself some love. He opened his Yelp app and searched "toys". Doodlet's Shop popped up, and daddy seriously looked like a zombie as he stared at his phone, trudging the plaza sidewalks, following the map directions. Eventually, daddy found the little hole-in-the-adobe-wall, and man, the place was such a hidden treasure. Wall to wall, nook and cranny, Joy. Damn you, December, thought daddy. 'Tis the season for gifting, and this place is Mecca. So much to buy, so many people to please. What did daddy do? He bought a chintzy lil' token for his kid and a t-shirt for himself, designed by the Mekons, which he wears every Monday. That chintzy lil' token was a wind-up scuba diver for the bath tub. The ray of sunshine loves it. And it bought daddy love.

Absolutely charming little store. It's not in the main plaza but one street over in a corner, so you'll have to watch it for it. Lots of cool little toys and gadgets for kids of all ages.

What a fun place for all ages to shop in Santa Fe. Found a few gifts to take home for a special little girl.

I detoured on my way home to Dallas from a two week road trip, three kids in town, and looking every bit the part. Normally when you walk into stores looking like this, you don't get the best treatment. Debi treated me as if I walked in with a million dollars to spend, which i appreciated greatly. I came in for a specific family of artist and she let me know (BEFORE I purchased from her) that they were actually in the square at the Spanish Market! Again, she did not have to tell me this, much less before i made a purchase from her! Additionally, she asked my kids all about their two week adventure and tested then as if they were mini adults. They, too, looked every bit the part of the second Saturday off a two week road trip through five states! She told my oldest daughter all about the artist that made the item she wanted to purchase, which made my fifteen years old excited to buy her first actual piece of art. Side note: I purchased a few things from her over the phone a few years ago, and she described what she had over the phone, then emailed me pictures to make sure I liked the pieces she picked out, then shipped them to me to Dallas. If you want great, personal customer service, local art, unique gifts, do yourself a favor and stop by here! Debi will inform you, guide you, and make you feel good about your purchase no matter how big or small!

El Nicho is one of them. No cheap Chinese trinkets here. We saw the work of talented craftsmen using a variety of mediums to create one-off art. Most was surprisingly affordable. A couple of purchases later we left with a plan to return soon.

A "must do" if you ever visit Santa Fe, NM, is the Native American Vendors Program of the Palace of…read morethe Governors. Daily, year round, the jewelry and craft makers from the pueblos surrounding Santa Fe set up displays to sell their wares outside the Palace, facing the Plaza. While the local artists who have achieved some renown have their items displayed in the shops around Santa Fe, the local Native American families, often with the help of mom, dad, and kids, spread out blankets in their assigned stalls. It's really something to see! Especially as the vendors move their wares on the blankets using long sticks with hooks on the end! :-) And, there is something for everyone... jewelry, turquoise, silver, beadwork, small crafts. It's just fun to browse and talk to the vendors. They truly are wonderful people, and we enjoy supporting them! And, much of the jewelry is beautiful, some better than what you'll find in the shops. Lots of jewelry for men too, so don't be shy about shopping! LOL But beware, they are tough negotiators! Great value to be had, at a fair price! Recommend you visit with the Native American Vendors whenever you can, it's a blessing to interact with and support them!

It helps so there isn't as much crowding while you're trying to go through. I have been to farmers markets in multiple states, but I have never seen one with a gift shop! That was very interesting to see. The market itself had a nice array of fresh produce, food, and artists' work. It was cool getting to see them roasting fresh chile and the band that played was soo much fun! The best booth for us was Dancing Turtle Studio. Absolutely stunning pieces of art and my guy bought me one of the hot air balloon pieces to commemorate our 1st anniversary. It honestly couldn't have been more perfect! The artist herself was incredibly sweet and wonderful to talk with. It was amazing getting to hear about her process as well!
