After my daughter's cheer competition we were starving and decided to stop by the Red Lobster in Cobb since the East Point location was packed. I'm so glad we did because it ended up being the perfect late dinner! We were seated right away with no wait, which felt like a miracle after such a long day. Our server Gavin was amazing from the start--super friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. Of course we started with the fresh, hot Cheddar Bay biscuits (still as good as I remember!). My husband ordered the Admiral's Feast, my daughter had the kids fish meal with orange slices, and I ordered the Shrimp Pick Two with coconut shrimp and shrimp Alfredo linguine... and it was SO good. Went on a Saturday ... haven't been in years. First of all the services really great there! As soon as you walk in there, greeting you the music is a nice ambience not too loud... And everyone you saw greeted you and my server was amazing. She was very helpful answering every question's. Got us out everything and even made sure that when we had an issue, she took care of it. The drinks are very good! Those biscuits are as heavenly as they've always been! Even though they messed up on the new lobster roll, it was quickly corrected, and was made so delicious! And I definitely should've got the name of the cook who fixed it but she is wonderful, and had a great attitude! The clam chowder is OK. First time at Red Lobster, and it was certainly underwhelming. The main thing that ruined my experience was the extremely slow service at this location. There was a 20 minute wait to sit down despite most of the restaurant being empty. Then, the drinks took over 15 minutes to come out. The food took upwards of 45 minutes. Our server was friendly, everything just took super long. The most appetizing thing here was the Cheese Biscuits. So tasty and flaky. For my entree, I had the lunch special Shrimp Linguine. Went for dinner and there was only a hand of people. I sat at the bar. The bartender was friendly and helpful with my order. I haven't been to RL in years so the bartender reviewed the menu with me pointing out new menu item. The lobster pasta had bits of lobster in it, mostly langostino. It did have about 6 large sized shrimp in it. The sauce, which I requested to be spicy, didn't have much flavor. It also wasn't enough sauce for the amount of pasta. Over all it was just bland. The is the BEST Red Lobster restaurant I have ever been. I'm a regular here since 1989. I've been to all the red lobsters in the south east and this is the only one that I'll drive out of my way by others just to eat there.
