Walt's Favorite Shrimp and shrimp scampi
Adeola O.

Red lobster has been declining in my opinion. Trying new things on the menu has been a gamble for me. At first I ordered the crispy flounder, theme they brought it out it was 4 fillets of fried fish. I was off put because from what I remember the crispy flounder was one fillet over a bed of couscous with two sides. The manager came over and took that plate away and asked me what I would like to replace it with. I ordered what I would usually get which is the trio of shrimp. I seen pictured the shrimp was good. My friend got the lobster and shrimp Alfredo. They said it tasted decent. It lacked flavor, but it was a good amount. Two people could share that. The lobster flatbread was decent. My favorite part of it was the crust and the edges. The main part of the flatbread was flavorless. Red lobster needs to bring back what they were doing in the 2000s. The food was just better back in the day. The biscuits were somewhat decent. Some of the biscuits will be flavored and the others would be bland and dry. I'm not really a fan of red lobster. I've heard a lot of mixed reviews about the seafood boil, it is pretty expensive for the amount that you get along with what comes in the boil. It's just mostly shrimp and sausage. I was happy that I was accommodated properly for my meal. The ambience of red lobster is the same very chill and lots of boat decorations. This establishment was clean.

I've dined here only about three times - each time by either CARRYOUT or DELIVERY...never dined inside. Although the food quality and speed of service haven't been consistent - it's not terrible. In fact, the most recent order was probably the BEST and FRESHEST I've had yet. I won't say it's perfect, and there is a LOT of packaging when you get carryout or delivery...but it was at least hot and edible.

I was in the neighborhood after a doctors appointment and was hungry as usual. Decided to go to Red Lobster, I love this place; service is Always Good crowed or not. I just wish the lighting was a bit Brighter because it's my Mom's Favorite spot but some lose of her sight makes her want to order & eat at home. I ordered a drink for starters (can't recall the name) but every bit of Delicious. I ordered an appetizer...seafood stuffed mushrooms; then for lunch I got 1 of the feast. It comprised of Shrimp scampi, popcorn shrimp and fried Flounder. DELICIOUS. Due to the fact that I am a rewards member...I got Free dessert. The chocolate cake to go.

The Lobster Tail and Shrimp was great.

We visited this Red Lobster located in Munster, Indiana and was absolutely amazed. This restaurant was clean beyond expectations, it smelled beautifully (like a seafood restaurant is supposed to) and the service was AWESOME! Like I said, I was amazed. My wife ordered a bacon cheeseburger (not much of a seafood fan) and my son I both ordered the Lobster Tail & Shrimp entree. It was perfect. It was complete Heaven. Thank you.

It's been a while since I've been to this location. Food and drinks were good and fresh. Service was very friendly and welcoming. Would recommend.

Brussel sprout

Biscuits are always good. Roasted Brussel sprouts no. Cook did not trim them so were they even washed? Tough to eat with core still on them

I came here for lunch because I was craving some seafood. I came around 12pm and there weren't too many people eating there yet. It took awhile for my server to arrive since they were short staffed. By the time my waiter (Victor) arrived, I was ready to order. Victor brought out my drink, the cheddar bay biscuits, and then the Caesar salad. I just started the salad when my order came out. Drink: raspberry iced tea. Light and refreshing. Not overly sweet and had a good raspberry flavor. Victor even brought me a to-go cup filled with the tea. Entree: lobster topped stuffed flounder. The flounder was cooked perfectly, was flakey/buttery, and cut nicely. A nice buttery beurre blanc sauce was drizzled on top. There was a generous amount of the lobster. The stuffing was under the flounder. I didn't really care for the stuffing. I think the drink would have been fine without it. I also has quinoa rice, which was cooked nicely and there was a generous amount.

Prime rib is a normally a roasted meat but the friendly waitress asked how we liked it prepared and charred was of the two options presented to us. It was like we couldn't get the usual rare, medium or well-done scope of options. When it arrived, it was not the Prime Rib I was accustomed too but a charred thin steak with overboard seasoning. Being a man and a birthday party honoree, I decided to not complain or send it back as such would have been a very rude, unappreciative gesture to my host, I thought. What I learned here is this is not a place known for Prime Rib or steaks as it is an Italian eatery, stick with pizza and pasta dishes for the best satisfaction. Lesson learned.

Our food came with a side and also soup so we ordered the lobster bisque. I liked the taste of it but the lobster and onions were diced up and there was so much of it that it just didn't taste good. Onto the entrees I ordered the chicken Marsala and it came with two good sized chicken breasts and I opted for the fettuccine Alfredo on the side. Overall I give it a 7/10 - it hit the mark but wasn't impressive. We also ordered the Parmesan crusted 8 oz filet for $35. We asked for medium but it came out medium rare. Was a bit bland but we ate it. Overall we won't be back for a while but it's a good place to try when you want some Italian from an old school joint.

Upon arrival we were immediately seated at a high top in the bar area. They had several big screen TVs on playing both sports and news. We came hungry and ordered a good variety of menu items including a few of their seasonal drinks as well as several shared appetizers. My favorite was the chicken eggs rolls. They really stuff them up and there's so much flavor. The dipping sauce is tasty as well. The lobster Rangoon was an accidental order, I asked the waitress how they were and next thing you know they were brought out to the table. I agreed to keep them and did enjoy them. They were a little pricey at $24 but I understand lobster isn't cheap. The bbq chicken pizza was ok but didn't have the bbq sauce flavor I was looking for. Good while hot but nothing I would order again. The side salad was literally just a bowl of lettuce so I wouldn't do that again either. I felt the menu had a lot of good options and choosing what to order was hard. Our server was great and the busser was attentive and helpful as well. I'm excited to have a place like this in the area. The vibey ambience, good service and overall yummy food makes me want to come back again and try more. We ordered the Black Bullet party pack which comes with two pounds of brisket and two large sides. We went with fries and beans, and also added ribs, mac and cheese, and buns to the order. The brisket is still the star of the show. The spice rub on it is perfect, and it's so tender that it's unreal. The fries are exactly the kind of battered fries I like which was a pleasant surprise because I feel like not many places do them that way. The beans were okay... a little sweeter than I personally prefer, but they had huge chunks of pork in them that I definitely appreciated. We also added two slabs of ribs, and they fell right off the bone. I'm usually not a huge ribs person, but these were well cooked and flavorful. Mom loved them, and that's what really matters. We did have a few small issues with the order. We realized that our mac and cheese was unfortunately missing when we got home. They also ran out of pretzel buns midway through packing things up, so we ended up with a mix of pretzel and brioche buns instead. Honestly, we didn't mind that one too much because it gave us a chance to try both (I'd pick pretzel if I were you). When we picked up the order the place was absolutely packed, so it was hard to be upset over an honest mistake. They were clearly incredibly busy. I still don't really care for the sweeter sauce that tastes heavily like peppers to me, but their vinegar-based sauce (which I think is their original?) was much better than I remember. I'm glad to see this place is still around and still holds up after all this time. More importantly, the brisket is every bit as good as I remembered.

On my second visit a year later, I decided to give it another shot--this time opting for the traditional version instead of the smoked one. It was better, but still only average at best. It was also served warm, and the ice melted quickly, suggesting the glass or drink wasn't properly chilled. The martini was also underwhelming--it tasted mostly like juice, with little to no noticeable alcohol. As for the food, the starters were definitely the highlight. The French onion soup was actually very good. However, the main courses didn't live up to expectations. I ordered the steak medium rare, but it came out closer to medium well--overcooked and under-seasoned. The chicken Vesuvio was also disappointing; the sauce tasted like it came from a jar, and neither it nor the rice stood out in any meaningful way. On a positive note, the ambiance was very nice. The lighting created a pleasant atmosphere, and the staff was friendly and attentive throughout the meal. Overall, while the setting and service were enjoyable, the food and drinks didn't justify a return visit.

Theo's Steak & Seafood C/O District /Executive Director…read more9144 Indianápolis Blvd. Highland, IN 46322 Good afternoon, (A Really Bad Experience) I am writing to you concerning my visit to your establishment on February 7, 2026. I had the worst experience that I have ever had in a restaurant. First, I did not have a problem with the price because it was $60.00 per person and I paid for my daughter, son, and daughter-in-law, as well as myself. They were very unprofessional. One waitress came out and stated that we could order onions and mushrooms on our steak, but that would be an extra charge, if the bride state it was okay. I went to the bride, and they told her that it would be an extra $10.00, I gave her $15.00. So, at that point, they came out and took our orders and among the 4 of us we ordered a steak medium well with just a little charred on it. Well, I had to wait because the waitress came out and stated that they had charred it too much and they had to put me another one in. Now it is half an hour later and everybody in the place is complaining because now they are coming back stating that you can't order the onions or mushrooms that they have already given to the bride. Don't nobody want to go back and say give it back 1 /2 hour later, so we let her keep it. My steak came out burnt. Also, the waiter came around with water and one of the people at my table had gone out to the bar and purchased her a drink and he poured water in her glass that already had her drink that she paid for, and he told her that he would replace it. Then the manager whom I sent a picture of to the store came back and said she would get another drink, well she went back to the bar and purchased another and was waiting for the one that they were supposed to bring to her. So, I asked the manager if they could replace my steak and she threw her hands up in the air and stated that it is what you ordered and walked away. My daughter-in-law was so upset her husband had to make her be quiet because she was so mad at the lady who talked to me like that, and she travel all over the world and I have never seen her get upset like that. Everybody in the room complained about the services, we asked whether we could go out and order it from outside and still pay her and they kept telling us that we couldn't. I was so angry and I did not eat at all, and I only eat once a day and I had the worst service that I have ever had anywhere and we traveled all over the world. First, that Manager owes me an apology and I would like to meet with you concerning this, because it was so unprofessional, and maybe it was because of our race, I do not know, but at this point we all are saying I will never go back to Theo's. I feel that even if it costs extra, because not everybody eats steaks with onions or mushrooms on it, we still paid her $60.00 for their meal, that should have been able to order anything else. One lady just wanted a salad with any meat, just some lettuce, tomatoes, and croutons and they told her that they could not accommodate her with that. My god daughter that got married her son does not eat meat and she was able to just get him some noodles. I feel that even if we paid the $60.00 for the meal that we should still had been able to order something else, and not only that one waitress should not be able to tell you that you can order onions or mushroom on your steak and then the other one come back and say no. We did not care about the extra charge, and I feel we should have been able to order appetizers if we wanted them. A lot of us had not eaten all day, getting off the plane and going to the wedding and straight to your place and this is the service we received. I am not just complaining just about myself, but for my family, your staff need training on what they can or cannot do before entering that room and one person says one thing and the other one is saying something else. I have never been to any place where the manager did not try to rectify the situation or just remove that price off the bill. I sent a you the picture of the manager that was in charge I guess, but she was the one that threw her hands up in the air and said that is what you ordered. I order my steak chard everywhere and it has never been burnt, and they want me to except it, and I did not eat one thing on the plate. I just paid for something that I could not eat. Your place was very beautiful and that was my first time there, but that was a horrible experience, but when you went out of the room the bartenders and all the other people were so nice. I do not feel that the people that were working back there in the room can handle 50 people and one time ordering, but they should have been a little more accommodating. I know she had to pay $3,000.00 for just the people and a tip, but I don't feel that she got what she paid for. I tried to send this letter to the store,so that someone would contact me and they never did till this day.

The order was supposed to be ready at 11:40 AM and it wasn't ready until closer to 12 PM. When we unpackaged the contents, we realized that there were no tortillas included in the order. There was a small tray of Mexican rice, beans, lettuce, tomato, cheese, carnitas and the chicken fajitas. The chips came in a large ziplock bag with 1 quart of salsa. Order came with serving spoons, but did not include 25 plates OR 25 napkins and we were short. When I called the restaurant to inquire about the missing tortillas, I was transferred to a manager who did not believe us that we were shorted the tortillas. She put us on a brief hold and returned to the line to state that the staff packaging the order is "90% certain" they included the tortillas in one of the aluminum trays. She asked us a few times to check the cardboard box. We informed her multiple times that the box is empty and that there are no tortillas in this order. It is very hard to enjoy a fajita bar without tortillas. She then decided to inform us that if we wanted, we can come back to the restaurant to pick up "MORE" Tortillas. I explained again that we do not have ANY tortillas and picking up MORE tortillas at this point in the lunch was not worth it since the order was already late and people had already started eating. The part that bothered me the most is that there was no acknowledgement or apology for the missing item in the order and an unbelieving attitude as if I was lying. I told her that there is no reason for me to lie and say I am missing tortillas. There's no value in me trying to secretly get extra tortillas if there are not even enough proteins to supplement those tortillas. All in all, we paid $500 for this catering order and the amount of food that we received felt like closer to a $200 order. The trays for the rice, beans, and proteins were mini trays and I found it very hard to believe that they expected that to feed 25 people. Additionally 1 quart of salsa is NOT enough for such a large number of people. And if I'm paying for a catering order that is supposed to be 25 people why wouldn't you double check there's enough plates and napkins??? As for the taste of food, my colleagues remarked that the food lacked flavor and tasted very bland. The tamales were very stringy inside and not able to cut through the inside without using a knife. If we had had enough salsa, that may have helped. All in all we will NOT be ordering from El Salto ever again. If you want decent Mexican food for a large crowd, honestly QDOBA is better and cheaper.
