Red Lobster gets pretty busy, and you just may go there on a busy day and have to wait a little bit, but like alot of busy restaurants, it's busy for a reason.. it's good(if you like seafood that is). If you don't like seafood you may be less impressed with the place, but there are some pasta dishes and I'm sure one ortwo other nonseafood items. Of course most people go to Red Lobster because they are seafood fans, and it's a good place for that. Their shrimp is delicious, and I'm not sure if they still have it, but they had a special going on where you get all these different styles of shrimp at a very affordable price. That was pretty cool. Service was very very very very HORRIFIC. Manager was not the greatest and the servers and hostesses were very rude. My family and I were there 2.5 hours including the wait and was not fed. We waited an hour before we were seated and the restaurant was not busy. They told us that they could not accommodate more than two large parties at a time. We ordered our food at 7:30 and at 8:30 we still didn't have our food. The manager informed us that our ticket had only been in the kitchen for 17 mins. I saw on one of the late night shows a while back a monologue about the Chattanooga aquarium getting a huge screen display in their foyer. On the display they had a fish tank program running, so the joke was the only place with more fake fish than the aquarium was Red Lobster. That's pretty accurate. If you want crab legs or fried shrimp they are great, but getting a decent piece of fish or a non-overcooked lobster tail isn't going to happen. Xavier is a really good waiter, he doesn't get paid enough. The rest of the staff are good too, I never have an issue with the people. I got fried catfish today, it came out on an impossibly hot plate, and while I waited for tartar sauce to come out because apparently the kitchen doesn't think people eat fried catfish with it, the crunch steamed itself away into a chewy cornmeal "delight". My potato was ordered with butter and no sour cream, it came out the opposite. 2 of our other orders out of 6 were also wrong, so the kitchen had a slightly better average than the Cubs. We used to come here every Sunday years ago when the food was good, but man has it gone down, mostly greasy dishes, please don't serve the biscuts cold, they just leave a grease slick on the roof of your mouth. Tonight I'm here with a friend. I had the Atlantic Salmon full portion. Near the ends the salmon was undercooked. I asked for lemon garlic butter sauce and was told they no longer make it anymore. Just now one of the servers almost hit me with one of their trays. Now I'm leaving and the cars are coming in the wrong way! People are crazy these days. read more

The food is nothing like you have had before. I ordered grilled scallops, clam chowder and the best of all...the rolls/biscuits. The scallops were awesome! They were cooked perfectly and were very tasty! The clam chowder tasted great and it was the perfect portion. I would get that any day! Now it is time for the best part of the meal of all. The biscuits. Ours were warm right out of the oven. They were perfectly buttery, cheesy and crisp. I could eat a million of those. This is the first time in 30 plus years I have been so dissatisfied with Red Lobster. We went there to celebrate my birthday. First, the waitress forgot our drinks. Second, some time after she brought the drinks, she said that our ticket was dropped and our food order will have to be taken again. She said the manager would compensate us somehow for the delay. Well yes she did...she didnt charge for the kid's soft drinks. WOW!!! How friggin generous!!! Also my daughter told me after we left that she had told this "manager"that it was my bday after we first arrived...of course no treat with a candle after our meal. I come here often but my last experience was terrible I ordered a carry out. My boyfriend picked it up for me so I didn't have a chance to check my order, he peeked in the bag and my order seemed right so he brought it home. I ordered and ultimate feast, I got neither the shrimp scampi or the fried shrimp.. I made the best of it because they gave me extra crab legs (I guess) after about 2 bites I noticed the food smelled a bit stronger than normal which spoiled my appetite and forced me to throw it away. I was in for dinner with my parents. After a long and stressful day I was hoping to enjoy a nice dinner and a cocktail. Upon entering the restaurant, not once did we get greeted. The host Shawn was very nonchalant, very quiet and non-welcoming. We requested a table for 3 and wasn't sure if we should have a seat and wait or if we were gonna get sat in the near future. I ordered the "lobsterita" or should I say a martini glass FULL of ice with a splash of margarita. The manager walked past our table several times but never did SHE ask how everything was. I was hoping to brag about our server to her. Luckily our server Paulina saved the night. Very hospitable, knowledgeable, and polite. She made the experience A LOT better. I visited the restaurant this past week, and I was less than satisfied. I was kept waiting at the front desk because of a saleswoman pitching something to a Mgr. You don't keep guests waiting for that... I ordered blackend salmon. It was not blackened and barely seasoned. My server was pleasant, and did a good job. But the biggest downer of the visit was the smell. A bad unclean musty smell. Dusty window sills, and moldings. Dark, dirty and smelley. Try some Flax soap, gets rids of stench and years of greasy build up. Might want to clean or change the dirty carpet. Try some glass plus on your windows. read more

We ordered on Mother's Day for pick up. Automated system. This whole experience was a joke. I know we are in difficult times but Red Lobster really needs to get it together! After waiting outside in the rain for 40 minutes, my husband got inside the door. We put an order in to be picked up at 4pm. He got inside the door ate 4:40 only to see that there were at least 75 people ahead of him inside the store waiting for there orders! All standing shoulder to shoulder and half with no masks on! He text me at that point and I told him to come back to the car. We went home without any food. People were walking out pissed off without the food they ordered. Total chaos!! They obviously could not keep up with the demand! There should have been a limit on the number of orders they were taking instead they were greedy and took everybody's orders but could not fill them in a timely manner. My phone was mysteriously taken and put into a menu basket and nobody said anything to me that they found it and when I went to the basket to take it back nobody said anything to me. I reached over the counter and grabbed it. Lobster overcooked, harder than my steak. Mash potatoes was blah and they put the lobster on top of the steak and mashed potatoes even though there was clearly room on the plate for the lobster to be put separately. My husband and I went there early on Saturday 7/21/18 and was the worst experience in awhile from a restaurant, we sat down and had to wait for silverware, had to even ask another waitress to bring us some, plus there were flies all over the place landing in our food, we had to keep swatting them away, the waitress took my husband's soup and salad away and he wasn't even done with them, everything came out within minutes of each other, salad, soup and meal, no time in between. He had the crab leg special and I had the grilled shrimp which was very greasy and I told the waitress I could not have salad or broccoli for medical reasons, just rice, and asked her if I could consider the soup as a side then and she said she would discount the bill to do it that way and never did, I was so frustrated that we did not even stay to talk to the manager read more

what a disappointment. I haven't been to been to a red lobster in quite some time. the menu offered up lots of options, which in hindsight were all the same plus or minus pasta. the cheesy biscuits still hold up and the side salad was wimpy. our entrees were overpriced for what was offered. my GF ordered a 1/2 order of lobster/shrimp pasta, she received the full order, when we questioned are slightly obnoxious & over the top waiter, he responded with, "i must have not heard you correctly and said sorry". that's GREAT!!! but he also refused to adjust the final bill accordingly. that's NOT GREAT. what happened to THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT? it was not worth our time to get a manager involved and my GF now had lunch for the next day. red lobster is owned by the same outfit that owns olive garden and it shows. it's a shame that we region rats are offered up such bland tasteless dining options and honestly the ambiance was depressing to me. i recommend taking your cash elsewhere. read more

Today will be my last day visiting Red Lobster. The server was not good, the shrimp was just luke warm not hot at all, the mash potatoes were thick and burnt like they scraped the bottom of the pot to get them out. The server never came back to see if we wanted more from the endless shrimp menu. He gave us no napkins. On top of the cold biscuits burnt the had a booger on the napkin served on top of the tray. So yes this was a very bad experience and I will never return. read more

I went here with a hankering for King crab legs and didn't want to expect much and be disappointed since I am generally an "I-hate-Applebee's-and-chains" kind of snob. I was VERY pleasantly surprised. The service was super-attentive, the oysters were fresh and HUGE, the crab legs were steamed perfectly... The man had steak and lobster tail which also looked very good and according to him, cooked to his liking. If I had a complaint, it would be that i wanted my salad a little fancier. I would love a wedge with heirloom tomatoes and some fresh blue cheese on it or something...maybe some real applewood bacon...all i got was a lotta ranch dressing on s lotta lettuce, the Hidden Valley Ranch kind your parents served at home. But hey-it's not Shaw's, it's Red Lobster. The other issue is that they had a smoking section (GROSS!...trashy trashy)...but i guess that is Indiana's fault, not the Red Lobster's for still allowing it. However, I'd go back. read more

Very, very poor. I treated a friend to dinner for his birthday in March and it was great ! He returned the favor on Dec 22, 2016 and it was a very different experience. Our waitress was good, but that was it. First, we were seated in the bar area-not too clean and showing it's age. Noisy with no ambience. We didn't receive the famous biscuits until the salad/soup course and they were cold. Our food was cold and virtually tasteless-everything tasted like everything else. I special ordered a crab cake, (@$8.95) and it was the nastiest thing ever. I'm from the East coast and I know what a crab cake is supposed to look and taste like. Looked ok on the menu-so I ordered it. Big mistake-It looked like someone had shredded crabmeat, threw it in a frying pan for a few seconds and put it on a plate with cold sauce. Only slightly brown in the center, cold and tasteless, (Ever hear of Bay seasoning? Or breading?). Took two bites and decided I was setting myself up for food poisoning. We took the majority of the meal home for the dog, but she wouldn't touch it! I guess she is smarter than us. Yes, I could have complained, but with Red Lobster's reputation I don't think I should have to. Very bad experience and I took back the recommendation I had previously given to friends and co-workers. read more

I was told my food would be ready in 10-15mins for a carryout order. I arrived at the restaurant 25mins later and my food was not ready. I sat at the front waiting for my food for an additional 42mins until the bartender came to me and told me my food was ready at the bar. There were two hosts that knew I was picking up an order and did not say anything, i.e. hey you should go to the bar to pickup your food. Horrible costumer service. I guess when you're a big company you don't have to worry about customer service or making money. Walked in and the hostess was standing behind her counter and said someone would be with me in a moment and walked away. This was at 8:50 pm. No one was in line or waiting, just me. So I stood there and waited and waited. Then the worthless female manager came walking up and right on by me and went outside. Not a word...not a have you been helped or anything but that doesn't surprise me because I go there all the time and I have seen her many times before...again...worthless. So I finally got seated. Sat there 20 minutes...no I'm not exaggerating on any time frame, I'm sure they have cameras, and no one. No one comes to my table, no one asked if anyone has helped me, no can I get you something to drink, nothing. So I get up and leave. On the way out I ask for the worthless manager and to my amazement she was in a meeting....at 9:30 at night. Thursday Sept. 8th was my birthday. My friends and family knows how much I love Red Lobster. Been going for many, many years. So my boyfriend and I go on Tuesday Sept 6 to the Orland Park,IL location since we were at the mall shopping, great service that was our 1st time at that location. We were there manly to eat the "all you can eat shrimp" they keep those shrimp coming when she gave our bill they gave us to go trays a bag. Great Experience !!!!! However last night me and my daughter and kids went to the location in Muster,IN the wait was about 40 minutes as soon as we sat down we placed our order, we both want "all you can eat shrimp" kids hade chicken tender dinner she tells us " YOU CAN'T HAVE TO GO TRAYS WITH ENDLESS DINNER" so I say WOW REALLY !!!! who said anything about to go trays we just sat down. With ever portion of shrimp that came to our table to our table the portions got smaller and smaller. Red Lobster is a corporate ran restaurant chain so why are there different unwritten rules, After I post his I will be calling Red Lobster's corp office for more information. read more

I went back a couple times since my last review but our visit last night was the end all be all. We waited an hour for a table and sat at the bar until our table was ready. After an hour wait we were seated and our waitress took our order...it took twenty minutes for biscuits to come and then another almost twenty minutes for our salads! We asked for the manager and let her know what was going on. She offered us appetizers but we insisted on dessert at that point since our food was probably about done. A few minutes later we received our food. The shrimp scampi was like rubber with almost no sauce in it at all...it looked like it had been sitting under the warmer for a long time. We talked with the manager, assistant manager or whoever she was again and she tried telling us that their recipe called for an ounce and a half of sauce...there was no way that there was that much in there! She was incredibly rude. She brought out our desserts and we payed and went home. One of my friends ended up with an empty dessert box which I know was done on purpose by that so called manager...my friends and I are definitely reporting her to corporate!
