I understand the economy is in the toilet, & restaurants are cutting costs wherever they can, so this not me judging. I write reviews, even negative ones, in hopes that things improve. We love Red Lobster. The food is always good. The place is always pretty peaceful to eat at. Yet, the last couple of times we ate there it was noticeably different. More, noticeable than basically all other restaurants in town. RL has always been expensive, it's seafood, & we are land locked. But, it was not uncommon for us to have a few different occasions where we wanted to celebrate there. Sorry to say, not anymore. First, the waitress was excellent! She was perfect, under the bad circumstances she was working under. We were seated in the bar, without asking. We don't like that, because we don't really like eating in the bar. We have done it, but we just prefer not to. New laws, or not. It was a busy time & all people were seated all in the same area. The place was not packed, it just seemed it was with all of us on top of each other. In the bar, this was not peaceful. We did see people taken to the dining room, but did not see how crowded it was. The place was freezing. I heard a couple of tables asked to turn the temp up. It got colder. They were very understaffed. Had heard it was scheduled that way, on a Holiday. More staff seemed to show for the next shift. Food took a while to get to our table. It was hot though. Yet, this kind of setting does not allow a customer to take full advantage of their endless shrimp. I got the fish & chips. The portion seemed half of what it used to be. 4 entrees & 3 drinks (not alcohol) cost $100+. 5 of us ate for less at a comparable steak house. My opinion, if people like to eat there, the place is nice, & the staff is good the problem is management. Obviously, the economy is not helping. But, you have all the makings of a good restaurant. I've had to revise my opinion of Red Lobster upward. I always thought of it as a "Long John Silver" equivalent - cheap, breaded, deep fried, not very high quality. I'm pleased to report that Red Lobster is actually a well-appointed seafood restaurant with an expansive and tasty menu and decent prices. The biscuits are ridiculously good (and probably 8,000 calories per bite). We split a bowl of clam chowder, which they served as two separate servings without even being asked. The "breaded and deep fried" concept was certainly in evidence as well, with perhaps 1/3 of their "feast" dishes featuring deep fried clam strips, shrimp or fish. We really enjoyed the brownies a la mode (on the house, as one of us was celebrating a birthday). Altogether a pleasant surprise! read more

We were there on a Saturday night at 5:30, waited on and ordered promptly. After a 1 hour wait we got our appetizer and another 30 minutes for our meal. We online ordered the New Fish Fry Family Meal. When the order was delivered to our car is was missing the fries and cole slaw. We had to go inside where they argued with us saying it didn't come with fries and cole slaw. We had to show them their own webpage to prove it. The staff here are very nice and accommodating. They deserve this 4 stars, I'd give them 5 if it was for service only. The food was average, about what you would expect from the seafood chain. The cheesy biscuits are definitely the highlight of this place. This one was a pretty old facility with broken air conditioning, extremely dirty floors, and restrooms, and an over composting dumpster. My 80 Yr old mom loves the scallops from Red Lobster. And I planned to order them for Mother's Day and have them delivered via DoorDash or GrubHub. She had been looking forward to this all day. When I logged on to order, both DoorDash and GrubHub were not delivering. I live out of state and panicked so I called the restaurant and Jerry, the manager, offered to deliver the scallops to my mom's house because it was Mother's Day. I am incredibly grateful for this kindness and my mom was delighted to see him at her door with her delicious dinner. I hope everyone gives this Red Lobster their business. read more

We ate there Friday October 27, 2023. Worst experience We have ever had at Red Lobster. First, we get there 4:50 PM. walk in to see if there is a wait. No one at hostess desk. waited 10 minutes. My Mother in law was with us and she uses a Walker. Hostess tells me they're short of help.Not my problem! finally get to our table. get Drink orders, ok, waited ten minutes for waiter to com back. Ordered our meal for my wife ,mother in law, and myself. this is actual, 24 minutes to get our food. food was cold, my wife and I had fish and chips their Friday night special. Fish was cold snd tough to eat! oh first biscuits were cold and soggy. Mother in law had shrimp snd need a box to take them home. Could not find my waiter, got up and wondered around. Finally he comes out, gives us a box and tells me to pay using pad at the table. That took us at last three try's. Finally leave the restaurant at 6:20PM. No we're sorry, no smiles and terrible food. There were numerous tables available but 20 people waiting in line when we left! Get enough help,better employees, better chef or close your doors. Oh yes and we were not the only ones there that was complaining. At least two other tables had words. Will never eat at Red Lobster again. Oh and of course no Manager was available for me to talk to. This used to be nice, pre covid, now its very unpleasant to eat there. We waited about an hour for our food, my granddaughter nearly froze to death, it was so cold. I had to rub her down to keep her warm. The coleslaw had gone bad, they had no broccoli for the kids menu, and the only salad you could order was the Caesar salad. Went here to celebrate a birthday and was specifically looking forward to the salmon. It was black Friday and there were only a handful of tables and booths that were occupied so we were seated right away. The waitress came right over and took our drink order. She soon returned with the drinks and asked if we were ready to order. As the order for salmon was being placed (keep in mind this is a national seafood chain) she says, sorry, WE ARE ALL OUT OF FRESH FISH!! No salmon, no tilapia or any other fresh fish! She goes on to say that they get their shipments on Tuesday. This means a mere 3 days (they were closed for Thanksgiving) after their shipment they are OUT! She then goes on to say that they are running to Sam's Club for more salmon and if we wanted to wait 15 minutes we could still order it. We declined. What should have happened is that we should have been told as soon as we walked in that they were out. That would have been the right thing to do. That didn't happen. Next, at the very least, the waitress should have told us as soon as she arrived at our table. Nope, no luck there either. Since we were settled and had our drinks already and the appetizer was on its way we made the decision to stay. Adding injury to insult, the food was good but no where near worth what we paid for it. It has been several years since I had been there and it seems it has taken a step backwards in terms of value and quality. I will go to Long John Silver's before I ever go back there again. It is no wonder the restaurant industry is in the midst of a downturn. UPDATE, I am keeping my one star rating because I feel this store deserves that. However, I emailed the corporate office and they replied within 2 hours and apologized and promised to look into what went wrong and take corrective actions. That impressed me and restored my faith in the chain. I probably will not visit that particular Red Lobster again but will give them another chance to win my business back at a different location. read more

This place just couldn't seem to get it right when I was there visiting in the area. I usually dont do chain restaurants when I travel and I do my best to eat local but my friend wanted to go here. When I got the lunch combo and ate it there everything was good. However, when I ordered to go they just couldn't seem to get it right.One time the kitchen drenched my salad in dressing, Another time, they gave me a spoon instead of a fork with my salad. As you first pull up, you might think you're in the wrong place. The entrance has a pull up covered area like the kind you see in front of a hotel. Then as you walk in, you are greeted with death. The poor lobsters trapped in the tank stare out at you pleading for you to help them. But the food was great. Seafood is always expensive, but its with it. The only problem I would have with the restaurant is the women's bathroom. It was so gross, I could barely stand it. But, I'm conclusion, good food, great service. read more

Not impressed. The salmon was very bland and lacked pretty much any flavor. The grilled shrimp was ok at best. I will say that the lobster tail was good - it was the best part of the meal. The rice pilaf was dry and the steamed broccoli was cold. On the bright side, the store was very clean and our server was very attentive. However, the food was not good.
