Went to pick some food up today and it was the worst experience ever. We ordered the food an hr in advance and still had to wait for another 45 minutes for the food. To make matters worst they brought the food and things was missing. A bunch of people were complaining about how long they were waiting. Red lobster really need to work on hiring better staff. Had the displeasure of dealing with the rude, sarcastic, unprofessional, untrained, arrogant manager Terry. He showed his true colors. The food was fresh, hot and delicious, but service was terrible. I ordered my food. After I paid my bill, I noticed that I had been overcharged and I politely let Terry know. He became enraged when I brought it to his attention. Repeatedly he told me I was wrong and that I hadn't been overcharged even though I showed him my receipt. He couldn't admit they had overcharged me. When I asked who was the district manager, loudly and angrily he told her name, but told me to go find her telephone number myself and walked away. They're overcharging customers at this location. They increased their prices in the computer, but not on their menus. read more

If I could give this place negative stars I would. This has got to the shittiest service I've ever had to deal with. Wait time for a table/booth was 30-35 minutes so I decided to go to the bar. Bar was understaffed and overworked to say the least. Took about 40 minutes just to get drinks and an appetizer. Spent another 20 just to get our order placed. After waiting another 30 minutes I was told our order was getting ready to be started on. Took another 10-15 minutes trying to get the bartender's attention before I had to walk over to her and tell her to cancel the order. Shouldn't have even paid for the appetizer we got but at least it was something. People need to stay away from this place. Cooperate needs to fire everyone in here and staff it with more competent employees. read more

Was passing by Concord Mills and been a while since I've been to a Red Lobster. Very busy and long wait but no wait if we wanted to sit down and eat at the bar, actually I don't mind at all. Friendly staff, and as usual the seafood was good. We also got a lobster pizza which was great! No local beers but they said that was something they were working on. Not impressed with the state of the restrooms but sure it's hard to keep up when your that busy on a Saturday evening. Came here for steak and lobster , what a joke steak was dry and had no taste . Lobster was the size of a medium shrimp . Mashed potatoes were runny and broccoli was very watery and cool . The best part of the meal was the biscuits and the margarita . The service was very good but very busy causing the poor quality of the good prep . So asked her m to correct it. At which the storage bee replied " the bar is busy and we don't have that on tap". The server flies on to tell me that he doesn't really care about this job, as it is only to hold him m over until his other job offers more hours. 4. The food arrives (admirals platter and ultimate feast). The admirals platter was just bad all around. Tasted like the grease had not been changed in a while. Shrimp was cold. The ultimate feast was a bit better, but it's hard to eat crab legs/ lobster without the shell cracker! 5. The Mgr offers to come out meal, while telling us he is aware of his servers bad attitude, but the server is unapproachable at the moment. He genuinely seemed afraid of correcting this young man. 6 Table service was horrible, dirty dishes remained at the table until we were completely finished. I love red lobster it's my guilty pleasure but I went on my birthday and it took 30 minutes to get my drink. They were not particularly busy so I'm assuming they were understaffed. They forgot to make my husbands food so our entire table was almost done eating by the time he got his food. When I got my food it was over done and cold. Had a strong craving for a nice salad, cheddar bay biscuits, and some good ole seafood. Arrived, the three of us were seated. Ordered our beverages and an appetizer of Mussels. I asked the server if they could omit the wine in the mussel sauce (over powers the creamy garlic flavor) he said "sure". A few minutes later, the server returned to the table stating the sauce all comes pre-packaged so omitting the wine is not an option. Changed the appetizer to fried calamari. We ordered our entrees, one of which had a side salad. I specifically asked the server what type of vingarette dressing do they have and he replied "Champagne Vingarette". I replied "great" because that lemon vingarette in which they previously had was not so good. He stated he was not aware of a Lemon vingarette. He brought out my salad, and IT HAD LEMON VINGERETTE DRESSING, I asked the server if I could get another salad, this time with Bleu cheese dressing. He brought my salad out and although I want to believe it was not intentional, my salad WAS SWIMMING IN BLEU CHEESE DRESSING! Inedible completely!!!! Food arrived and I honestly wonder how anyone could plate this trash. The bay scallops looked like small burnt rocks. The server clearly saw this when he delivered the food to the table. So two employees never considered that perhaps they should NOT serve this? WTH. Server agreed to replace them. 15 minutes later, the properly cooked scallops arrived. We have not been to a Red Lobster in a while and decided to have lunch on a week day. The service was pleasant, not terribly slow. The food was tottaly "blah." There was just no flavor. We ordered the seafood platter, the New England clam chowder (bad), the crab with linguini arrived lukewarm (a/c was brutal and could be the reason); our side dishes (2 out of 3, they forgot 1) arrived when we were finishing our meal. We remember Red Lobster food was tastier, even their rolls were larger, moist and you could taste the cheese!! We were seated with full view of the kitchen and saw only one person wearing a hair netting. Several people in the kitchen with long hair, beards, no gloves. Will not return. read more

I love going to red lobster... Usually. But this was not the greatest experience. The food was excellent as always so that part I was very happy about but the service overall was bad. Our server disappeared for long periods of time and when we were just wondering if the food was ever going to come out she comes up and tells us that she's sorry but what my mom ordered was out of stock. So it took her 25 minutes to figure this out???Maybe she was just having a bad day.... I know that kind of thing happens because I used to be a server and it is not an easy job. But this was ridiculous. I finally had to go to the front desk to ask for basic things like condiments and refills. On a positive note the manager came over and said she was going to comp my mom's dinner which was very kind. Well, where do I begin?? Let's start here.. Red Lobster is one of my favorite places ever. Huge seafood fanatic. Ate at this location approximately two times last week. No huge problems. Then came tonight, me and my friends wanted a nice dinner out and Olive Garden was taking there precious time. Therefore, we thought Red Lobster would be the better choice. Well we were wrong. We arrived there shortly after our 2-3 minute walk from Olive Garden and people were lined up in front of us. We looked at the poor lobsters in the tank as we waited as what seemed forever to even see a worker. I understand the wait in the food industry but this was plain outrageous. Anyways, after someone showed up they said the wait would be I don't even know how long. Therefore, we turned right around and walked 2-3 minutes back to Olive Garden where we finally got a table. I ordered tortellini. It's a good type of pasta, I would have preferred my coconut shrimp instead though. Stay tuned for my Olive Garden update. Food was good, server did a good job, but the place is not managed well. I know they don't pick their customers but we ate next to a table that had a screaming kid and a kid throwing food everywhere and after they left it was 20 minutes before they cleaned the area. There was some confusion concerning the next customers to be seated as they were brought to the table that had not been cleaned yet and stood by or table waiting for their table to be cleanedfor a long time. As they were final being seated another table was being seated behind us with another screaming toddler that also was jumping up and down on the seat common with mine. 1.5 stars I don't think I will come back to this Red Lobster location after my latest experience here. We came in on a Wednesday night to take advanage of the endless shirmp deal which ended on November 8th. We had called in to be placed on the waitlist, a 20 minute wait, not bad. By the time we drove there, our 20 minutes but the hostess told us it would take another 10-15 minutes for a table to be ready...this is why we called in, I don't want to wait. We were finally seated 10 minutes after walking in. Unfortunately, this didn't matter as not one server acknowledged my presence for almost 20 minutes. I was pretty upset but I didn't want to get up and leave since we drove all the way from Uptown for this. Finally, our server arrived to take our drink order. I asked her if they still offered the endless shrimp deal which sent her off into this huge schpeel about how endless shrimp festival is the worst time of the year for the servers, how much they hate it, and how they're boss was throwing a party for them when its over. Everyone has their right to an opinion on any matter including this but I think it's common sense not to share these opinions with your customers. I felt extremely uncomfortable after this conversation and hesitated to say that my bf and I specifically came here for the endless shrimp deal. It took another 30 minutes for our orders to come out, in that time, she checked up with the table behind us about 4 times but did not come to our table once and my water was completely out. My boyfriend was furious as he felt we were unable to fully take advantage of the endless shrimp deal due to the degree of neglect from our server. I was very disappointed when the food actually came out. My garlic shirmp scampi was dry as a desert in hell and my pinapple coconut shrimp was clearly thrown together. As the restaurant got less crowded, the quality of the food improved. I was just over it at this point. Save your money, patience, and time, go to another Red Lobster location. The one in Pineville is much better and the High Point location is outstanding, go there for sure. Ask for Amy if you are dining in High Point, she's rad. read more

I was very disappointed when I had dinner here a couple weeks back. I ordered the expensive dinner with crab and shrimp scampi etc and it was nothing like I remembered it being . The price of the entree use to be worth spending 40 dollars but the food I was given was a let down . I haven't returned since bc I don't want to go places I don't enjoy. I was a little disappointed in the size of the full dinner portion. It was maybe half of a to-go container which I thought was small. However, I can be greedy so I was slightly biased. Customer service was a 3.5, definitely could have been better initially. So, I tried to call ahead my order and the front picked up but the next dept. (In assuming bar area) hung up the phone. First strike! Second, when I got to the bar area inside to place my order, I waited over 5 min and then had to ask someone to get someone to come to the bar area to take orders. Second strike! Lastly, which I look at as a "ball" and/or pass once my order was taken the bartender did offer me something to drink while waiting and I got extra cheese biscuits. Other than that no other service. I have tried sitting at the bar at a few restaurants lately - mainly because I hate waiting for a table and I think I have found a hidden gem. Both times I've done this on this trip I have found that the best server is the bartender. I con't recall his name, but he was the best server at a RL I've ever had - how he managed to take care of all the drinks and other customers sitting at the bar eating and drinking and being able to satisfy my need for speedy service is beyond me, but I think the people behind the bar should be paid far more than the incompetent servers out on the floor. I may never eat in the dinning area again! This place has the same selection as any other RL, but the food seemed fresher, was cooked correctly and was served quickly! read more

I went here on Thursday January 5th, 2012 for a late night dinner with my gf. I have been going to Red Lobster from the age of 2 and I am pretty familiar with everything on their menu. I've prolly been to Red Lobster over 75 times and I've made it a point to order the Clam Chowder each and every one of those times that I've dined there. Lately I've increasingly become a fan of the crab and lobster dip they currently offer as an appetizer (see pics). I ordered the peppered sirloin and coconut shrimp combo, with mashed potatoes as my side. The peppered steak was a little over cooked for my liking, but served the purpose of satisfying my appetite for the evening. The Caesar salad that was served ahead of time left a bit to be desired. The shrimp was good, but by the 5th coconut shrimp, I was kind of sick of them. Like, i said, I've been going to Red Lobster my whole life, so I more than knew what I was getting food-wise, it was the crowd and the ambiance surrounding me that put a damper on the evening. First, we were forced to squeeze into one of those cramped two-person booths, with little to no table and leg room. Secondly, we were seated next to a birthday party of about 10 people. Apparently they forgot that Red Lobster is a public establishment and that we are "LIVING IN A SOCIETY!!" Because they acted as if they owned the place and were EXTREMELY loud and obnoxious - constantly walking around, snapping pictures left and right and seemed ready to burst out with laughter at the drop of a hat. This was def. not what my date and I were hoping for on a Thursday night, and our entire Red Lobster experience would've been better if we had simply ordered it to go or sat in the bathroom and ate instead - no really. At least it would've been quiet. Our server was a heavy set gentleman with glasses, with a kind disposition. However, we were more than ready to leave by the time he finally arrived with the check, and it felt like another 5-10 minutes before he finally returned to our table run our credit card (a pet peeve of mine; I mean we asked for the check so we are clearly ready to go. Why does it take forever to come back and TAKE our money/card) so we could leave him a tip and get the heck out of there? Often frequented by big groups celebrating a bday or some other social occasion. Cheap lobster will do that. Upscale dining when you have kids. Why the poor rating service was poor and the wait is way too long for what this is. Had the lobster pizza-good delish, Maine lobster bake-ok -too much potatoes and corn filler, snow crab- way too much work with so little crab meat reward, wild sockeye salmon- sort of bland for sockeye salmon. Really like the veggie sides. Would recommend for birthdays special occasion celebration but for dinner out with kids when you don't want to cook, it's just too long of a wait. read more

If you're looking for friendly professional service with a welcoming atmosphere, this is not the place for you. I can understand they happened to be a little understaffed on this particular visit but it doesn't cost much to be professional or even friendly. A smile cost nothing but a burnt calorie or two; a bad attitude cost far more. Not sure what happened to this place but it will be a cold day in hell before I step foot in this place again. My experience with this location was definitely discriminatory. The host took us in and said we had a twenty minute wait. We politely agreed; however after waiting approximately 15 minutes other white couples came in behind us and were seated before us. One of the parities was a party of three. I asked the host (quote) manager in training to explain why this happened. He addressed me as honey, first mistake, than he proceeded to disrespect me and lie to me as to why they were seated before us. I asked for the manager and she stated he seated the others because they were giving us the better server. I'm sorry she also lied to us and state the party of three we're getting just desert and we're seated with a newer server. Now I would like to know how he knew what they were ordering before seating them??? This is a matter that I will not let rest. I will be looking into further understanding. read more

Had fein for crab legs..late night my desire for seafoid a must. My neighbor enjoyed the meals...although we arrived near the 10pm time the staff was very nice and professional. Ordered the " Clam Chowder Soup" & "Lettuce Wrap with Hawaiian Shrimp" Wanted a smaller meal late night. The soup as always excellent with the cheese biscuits. Did not care too much for the shrimp. Do not want to low rate Red Lobster, think it was my pallette..Raspberry and Mango tea made up for that. Neighbor ordered "Admirals Feast & 1Pound Crab".. 6 Yea I know food was excellent. First off, 1 star is deducted because the host wasn't 'hosting' anything because he was too busy watching the NBA playoffs. I had to get his attention by expressing my feelings to my friend. After we were initially seated, we were greeted by the waiter, James (if I recall correctly), and he was pleasant and a pretty good waiter for the most part. To get to the food part, I ordered the trio option for $15.99 which included almond crusted salmon, sweet chili lime shrimp, and lobster Mac -n- cheese. Everything was good for the most part, but the sketchy 'lobster' part of the dish was a bit fishy to sum up the taste. Not in a good 'fishy' way if that even exists. Took my husband here for his birthday. We waited over an hour for our meals. We were finally told the kitchen was backed up after we had already waited 45 mins. The bathroom was filthy. Trash had not been emptied and used paper towels were on the floor. Toilet paper was on floor on the stalls. I could understand all of the above if the restaurant had been busy but it wasn't busy at all. We were seated right away and there were a lot of empty tables. The Red Lobster at this location has horrible service. We actually ate at the bar. The bartender Kim had a horrible attitude from the start. We started by ordering some drinks, I had a Hendricks gin with tonic. Which was served in a beer glass, because she claimed there were no more regular glasses to put it in. We also ordered one of Red Lobster's specialty drinks, which was put in a champagne glass, because she claimed she ran out of glasses for that also. Behind the bar the the glasses were piled to the ceiling, instead of bothering to clean them. But some how she had the right glasses for certain customers, if you can read between the lines. I took a chance and went back to this Red Lobster hoping things would turn out better than the last time I went. Silly me. I went for Lobsterfest 3 days ago. I ordered the Bar Harbor Lobster Bake. Before I go any further, the waiter's service was superb. The dish was not. In the picture I received in my email, there were two small lobster tails. In the dish I received, there was one tiny lobster tail, and it was almost invisible. When I finally found it, I was astonished! I absolutely couldn't believe the size of it. It was all twisted on the shell, all 1.5-2 inches of it. The poor thing was barely as large as the shrimp. Also, there was only 1, not 2 baby tails. In addition, scallops were included in the Bake. They, too, were the tiniest scallops I've ever seen in my life. The scallops were barely larger than a pea, if, indeed, they really were. The itty, bitty seafood is served over a bed of linguine. I asked if I could have angel hair pasta rather than linguine noodles...nope...we don't have angel hair pasta. Okay. When I dug into the noodles, they looked like they were laying in a bed of grease. That did it. I had to send that meal back. I asked to see the manager before I sent the meal back; this is 3 days later, and he never showed up. I won't even go into the next meal I got. I just packaged it and took it home. Needless to say, I have no intention of returning to that Red Lobster. read more
