Red Lobster in North Carolina absolutely delivered! While visiting family in North Carolina, we decided to stop by Red Lobster and it turned out to be one of the best dining experiences of our trip. There was about a 15-minute wait, which honestly wasn't bad at all, and once we were seated everything just kept getting better. Our server Marvin was amazing. From the moment we sat down, he made sure we were completely taken care of. He was friendly, attentive, and had that natural ability to make guests feel welcome. You can tell when someone truly cares about giving great service, and Marvin definitely does. What really stood out to me was the teamwork in this restaurant. Anytime another server walked by our table they checked in and asked if we needed anything. That kind of hospitality makes a huge difference and made the whole experience feel next level. The restaurant itself was clean, relaxed, and had such a chill vibe, which is exactly the kind of atmosphere I enjoy when I'm on vacation visiting family. It felt comfortable, welcoming, and easy to just sit back and enjoy the meal. And let me talk about the food for a second... I ordered the lobster flatbread and it was to die for. BEWARE We walked in and were greeted by a tall young teenager, who stared at me. I then told him I needed to have a seat for five people. He got menus and walked away. Then came back and said I have a table for you over here. Fantastic location! The dinning room was clean and had all those classical nautical feels. The books really know what they are doing. For apps you should try the lobster dip, crab queso, or the bacon wrapped scallops. The lobster flatbread is great too. The drink menu is vast. The margarita flight was fantastic and a great value. The ultimate feast is the best way to go; you get so much seafood. No room for dessert, but their cheesecake looked tempting. The service was on point. So disappointed. We had a party of 13, with reservations. We waited 20minutes before they cleaned the table. We finally got seated. We arrived at 4pm, our others arrived before 4. That's when they were told the table would be cleaned. It is now 5:40 and only 3 have recieved their salads, no other food has been recieved and we had to ask about the biscuits. By 6:10 everyone had their food, except 1 still hadn't gotten silverware. Some food was room temp, and frankly, I was reluctant to eat my lobster bisque. It still took 15 minutes for bills to be settled, and when I left, 4 were still waiting to get their cards/change back. Of course we left left tips. When we arrived, we could tell that the parking lot looked fairly empty so we were actually kind of happy because it wasn't crowded. This location desperately needs a remodel. Once you walk in the door, there's a foul unpleasant smell. Smells old and damp, the tables are scratched up, the menus are dirty and the chairs are worn out. Now that the bad things are out the way, let's move on to the good. We were greeted by a beautiful smile, that seated us quickly. The waiter was nice and attentive as well. I hadn't been to a Red Lobster in over 2 years because the service and food had gone down but I decided to give them another chance today. So glad I did . I was a little disappointed in the margarita flights, they all tasted the same (just different colors) really didn't taste any alcohol in them either. Very dissatisfied. We ordered crab legs with Old Bay & Butter. They come served over roasted potatoes. Ours came in a bath of vinegar. We could not eat the potatoes at all. The Crab Lwgs were delicious. I would have brought it to the servers attention but she apparently put us on the back burner. Every request took about 15-20 minutes to get. I'm showing my age a little here. Yet, this place used to be our FANCY family outing growing up. I heard it had fallen off over the years, yet something told me to give it a try. I'm happy I did. Now, the atmosphere was a little "off." The lights were dim at best. However, a few sections were not turned on. Those areas didn't have people sitting in them, though. It was also very cold. Now, I appreciate a little A/C, especially in the summer. But, it was so cold we considered getting a jacket. The service, on the other hand, was great. The waitress quickly came to greet us and take our drink order. While she was managing multiple sections, she came back in a reasonable time with our drinks and the infamous biscuits. I ordered the sesame-soy salmon bowl, and it looked just the picture. It was a good portion of salmon, and the brussel sprouts were cooked perfectly. Even the spring mix and rice were tasty. The one star is simply for the food. I've had the absolute worst experience at this establishment at the hand of the horrible manager named Alexa Shelton. I came in on a Monday night with four adults and 3 children (2 kids were high chair aged) for my nephew's birthday at 8:13pm we were told to wait for our table would be 45 minutes to an hour. Despite the restaurant being very empty, we were told they were shortstaffed, and that was the cause for the delay. Many of my friends we've worked in the service industry throughout our lives so we were understanding and we waited. The time was 9:35 and we were beginning to get a bit antsy, especially being that they kept holding us and other places nearby were closed so we were expecting to be seated soon. We asked to speak with a manager as we noticed there were other customers also complaining that there was no AC on a 93° weather day. When we asked the host to grab the manager, she disappeared for another 15 minutes. At this point, we have multiple parties of guest at the front looking for anyone that works there as not, even servers were coming by. By 9:45 pm We asked multiple employees from the bartender to servers to please find their manager. One server said "I just clocked out, but I'll go ahead and see y'all and get y'all started" His name was Marvin, and he was absolutely amazing. He saw that there was an issue not being handled and took it into his own hands. After we got seated, he took care of us. Some of the servers were sympathizing with us as they shared that their manager goes missing quite often and even they can't find her when they need her on multiple occasions. After Marvin and Desiree took care of us by the time we got our food it was past closing time so around 10:15 PM, at this point, the manager, Alexa decides to come in approach our table. She doesn't apologize or anything. She simply immediately starts throwing her employees under the bus and claiming no one came to get her or pull her aside to tell her there was an issue. I've worked in the service industry for many years of my life and I know when there's a bad manager and there's a bad server and I feel so sorry for all the individuals who have to work under her as you could clearly tell this was an unprofessional inefficient, horrible manager. I even told her that this behavior as a manager was unacceptable and for her to tell a guest that all six of her employees are lying about trying to pull her was absolutely absurd. For a manager to not even touch the floor for over 2 1/2 hours is absolutely crazy as the whole point of a manager is to maintain quality and assurance throughout the restaurant. Thankfully, the food was great and fresh because everything had to be made on the spot as we were the only table in the building. We tipped our servers graciously because we knew they were really trying to help the best they can while having to deal with such horrible management. We had to ask for the manager THREE times, and he arrives but only right after the server put the appetizers on the table. Still no straws or plates though. It has now been 50 minutes since we walked in the door to a half-full establishment. The manager is NOT apologizing at all; instead, he has a "don't really care" face. While he is standing there not caring, what arrives but our main course. And we haven't even touched our appetizers yet. That got his attention & he informed the server to have the kitchen make them up again. I ask him how he plans to make up for this horrible service and only then does he offer an apology but nothing else. I ask "and?", so he offers to comp 1 appetizer. ONE when we clearly had 2. I feign innocence & say "thank you for taking both appetizers off the bill" which he did end up doing. The food was delicious, I will give that. Oh, and the manager? In those 50 minutes before he came over right when appetizers were given to us, he must have walked by our table at least 20 times. i saw his eyes go to the table & then quickly look away. This is my second visit (08/24/25) after a bad one two months ago and they have redeemed themselves. First my waitress ,Teonia, was on point. She brought me everything I asked for and then some. Her service was kind and helpful. She asked me what I wanted and gave me time to make my selection. She checked on me throughout my meal and made sure everything was truly to my liking. I had sirloin and lobster tail (it was a little small but very tasty) with mashed potatoes and broccoli. I enjoyed my meal thoroughly. The manager, Alexa, asked me how my meal and experience were this evening. I told her it was great and told her how not so great it was a month or so ago. My table was clean and it was nice and peaceful even with a large party they just seated. I will give them another chance in the future. I hope they keep Teonia and Alexa at that location. DO NOT GO HERE!! Nasty and slow service. If I could give ZERO stars, I would! My recent visit to Red Lobster was by far one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. Let's start with our server, Natasha. She was extremely slow, unresponsive, and lacked any sense of urgency or attentiveness. We sat there for long stretches of time without refills, updates, or even basic check-ins. It honestly felt like she forgot about us half the time. The food? HORRIBLE AND UNSEASONED. It was warm -- not hot -- and the only reason we even stayed to eat it was because we didn't want to ruin the special occasion we were celebrating. The starter options were beyond disappointing, heavily lobster-based with little variety for anyone who doesn't want seafood overload -- and what we did try was honestly disgusting. The fried were warm and the grilled Shrimp wasn't seasoned. The sweet chili shrimp was the only option that's basic yet generic tasting. We were in this restaurant for THREE HOURS -- not because we wanted to be -- but because that's how slow everything was moving. To make matters worse, the bathroom was absolutely revolting. The stench of mold mixed with some weird sweet water smell was gag-worthy. For a restaurant of this chain's reputation, that is completely unacceptable. The manager? Unprofessional and not assertive at all. She didn't even introduction herself. It was clear our server, Natasha, was overwhelmed and should have had help, but management was nowhere to be found in properly supporting their staff. The seating situation was also terrible. The overall environment was uncomfortable -- and to top it all off, there was literally a lamp hanging from the ceiling by a wire. Not secured. Not fixed. Just hanging. Absolutely ridiculous. Fully staffed and still intentionally slow. I would like to just forwarn any independent delivery drivers to accept not even one order from this restaurant. Host will direct you to end of the bar for pickup and then you're on your own at that point...over 5 employees will walk past you without acknowledgement as well as the bartender will dodge your presence like your the actual flu. After about 22 min while supposedly background staff being reminded by hostess an additional time 10 min prior... there's a subtle attempt by what seems to be a manager...atp you're over it, after invisible and not even informed if the order has been even started yet. Oops and don't forget that even if support cancels your order because of the restaurants' negligence... you are still penalized. Anyway, either way... get bar rescue or something.. I've found closure in knowing that the staff is just incompetent and incapable of balancing multitasking, politeness, efficiency and solely just doing their job, you know..like they confirm with them during training and orientation. But oh well, I'm just one human inconvenienced by an entire staff and only one was necessary to make a difference and they still failed. The food was ok. Reading the reviews I was worried about the lobster size. Which my 2 lobsters were definitely different in size. The plain one was pretty good but the second caribbean one had a funky taste. I look on the underside of the lobster and there was a bunch of black gunk which is the veins not being properly removed which affected the taste of the lobster. The other plain one did not have that issue so I was very disappointed to only eat the one. I also ordered lobster mac and cheese which was cold like ice cold! Services was horrible first off the manger on was running around like a chicken with his head cut off. Counted about 15 people siting so the place wasn't full.ended up waiting 15 minutes not long but when we sat the waitress seem like she didn't wanna be there, they brought us our drinks in a plastic cup, and the bread and a plate with napkins. Waitress didn't ask if the food was good or if we want refills. So we just paid. And then when she brought the receipt back.She did not leave until I signed which really pissed me off because if seem like they didn't want us there and just wanted us to leave. The ambiance was not great all the staff had attitude and seemed like they were up set and took it up on the guest. There were tables standing up looking for their waiter so they could pay and leave.this was hands down the worst experience I've had in any restaurant and that says a-lot being that I'm a 26 year old that gives a lot of slack for eating out. Welp ! It was Red Lobster night for me and my boo for we were celebrating a late Valentine's Day dinner after deciding to celebrate on another day instead of the 14th. Upon entering the establishment from a packed parking lot, we were greeted by the hostess with a smile and were seated immediately. Shortly after being seated at our table our waitress who identified herself after approaching from the shadows and approached in a not so welcoming manner appearing to be somewhat nonchalant. That sparked a red flag but we were at Red Lobster and wanted to give it a chance. We ordered an appetizer, the lobster flatbread, which was ok, but the problem was when it was brought to our table. Our waitress just placed our appetizer down on the table as though she was feeding her dog at home giving us pause, and then she just walked away. We then realized that we weren't given any utensils leading us to indulged into our appetizer as it was meant to be eaten, with our hands. Upon our waitress's return, we ordered our food which was brought out in a timely manner by Sahara who was very pleasant and had the aura of a sweet spirit. My boo and I looked at each other and spoke amongst ourselves saying what a difference in demeanor wishing that Sahara who had given us a two thumbs up before departing from our table telling us to enjoy, was waiting on us instead. The crab legs that I ordered on the side were cold, but because of the demeanor of our waitress who the only thing that she had going for her on this night was refilling our drinks in a timely manner, it wasn't worth saying anything. For us to return to this establishment, we would have to be in the mood or there would have to be some sort of special going on. Other than that the ambiance was the typical Red Lobster style ambience which I felt could have been uplifted a bit, but that's just an opinion. This would be zero stars if given the option. We arrived at 11:30 (party of three) and left over two hours later due to slow service. The server told us only two of them were working. We had no drink refills and ate our meal with no beverage. The steamed crab legs were barely warm. There was no lettuce, so we couldn't have a salad. When asked for a veggie to substitute, we were told that "was not an option because there was no substitute button." We ended up with lobster bisque that was inedible (we've had it at other locations and it was fine. See the pic below). The two tables beside of us ended up carrying on conversations with us about how terrible the service was. Then, we went to wash our hands. The restroom, outside of the restrooms, and the area leading into the kitchen were soaking wet with blowers attempting to dry it. Multiple wet ceiling tiles throughout the restaurant. I came to Red Lobster tonight to redeem several gift cards that I have had since Christmas. We came early to avoid the crowd. We should have arrived a little earlier. The hostess told us that it would be a 35-40 minute wait. We agreed...and then we were told that we could eat at the bar immediately. We chose to eat at the bar. As we sat down we heard the bartender say aloud to a coworker that he was rolling silverware, washing dishes, serving food, and making drinks. He sounded exasperated. People that were there before us hadn't been addressed yet. We sat patiently. We eventually placed our orders and were served. It wasn't the bartender's fault. The restaurant understaffed the place for Saturday night. He needed help. We didn't get attentive service due to this. Our food was okay. The salmon was overcooked. The fried shrimp was okay. The scallops weren't good. Our service wasn't attentive enough to send it back. The bill was $63. $63 would have been better spent elsewhere. The service and food would have been better. read more

On Saturday, July 19 myself, wife and sister visited this restaurant to celebrate my birthday. When seated I told the waitress that it was my birthday and that we did not require any special consideration. The meal was served and I would rate the meal well above average and the meal service good. Upon leaving, I left my blue colored birthday card, with my name on the card with a restaurant gift card on the table. When I returned home I called the restaurant and was told that they removed the card and put it in the dumpster. It is obvious to me what happened to the card and gift card. I fully expect that personal property to be held for restaurant customers as a courtesy and just good business practice. The on duty manager was unable to help me because she had to accept her employees word. I wrote corporate customer relations and was told that they are not libel for forgotten customer personal property. I just expected it to be held for an hour. There is little doubt in my mind what happened here. I felt that this restaurant could have been more forthcoming, honest, and helpful to me. read more

The crab boil was supposed to be Cajun but tasted like Parmesan, the "wild-caught" fish seemed straight from a frozen box, and even the coleslaw lacked flavor. The kitchen was messy when I passed by right before leaving. Our server was great, but overall I would not recommend this location. read more
