Listen! I have been searching high and low for a place that has basa fish and this place not only…read morehas basa but damn near every other fish you can think of. Including my other favorite, red snapper. The menu has a ton of options. I kept it light and just ordered the basa sandwich and a side of fried okra. Love me some okra! The basa sandwich did not disappoint! They give 3 nice size pieces of fish. Perfectly fried. Not greasy. It was hard to tell what all I could have on my sandwich since that wasn't visible on the menu but the owner insisted I could build it however I want. So I did mustard, lettuce, tomato, cheese on a bun. I got my tarter sauce & hot sauce on the side. She served my sandwich w/o the cheese due to it not over powering thr flavor. I was too hungry to care so I ate it anyway. I can eat it with out without but since she didn't charge me for the cheese, I didn't complain. It was so good I never sat it back down once I picked it up. Sandwich in one had, my free hand grabbing the fried okra bites. The fried okra was also fried perfectly but could have used a little more flavor. Sometimes it's tricky with okra bc too much seasoning will make it unbearable. I'd rather it have less seasoning than too much. Would order it again! I also grabbed a lemon pound cake. Not sure it if was actually lemon and couldn't say anything while there since I ate it once I got home. The size of the piece was huge but was more on the dry side and didn't taste lemony. Could have been traditional pound cake. They have a lunch special for $10 I saw on the street sign while leaving. I'm definitely coming back! Damn near once a month if I can. But will for sure be a regular. It's located in a plaza so there's plenty of parking!

They don't do a lot of substituting items and I was told they do not because it would make them less efficient. It works for them and it works for me too. They have a great product so need to change it. The ambiance is always busy, especially on Sundays, but it's totally worth the wait time for fresh food.

I was impressed with the generous portion size and found both the fish and hush puppies to be well-prepared and not excessively oily and no disgusting silvery skin peeking through to literally turn my sensitive stomach. The seasoning was bland. If you don't dip each bite in Tartar sauce there isn't a lot of flavor, at all. I would have loved a lemon wedge. I couldn't pass up the lovely desserts, so I tried the Tuxedo Cake for $5.99. The chocolate flavor was excellent, although I had anticipated a firmer more cheesecake like crust. My wait time was approximately 10 minutes, and the counter attendant was efficient. The ambiance is blah. Blue paint and a vaguely nautical tone. No bells and whistles, just there. The increasing tip pressure, particularly for take-out orders, has become very frustrating. This really detracts from the experience and I wonder if I don't tip, will they do something bad to my food? My concerns regarding the tipping dynamic are part of a larger issue. This place is just jumping on an already crowded bandwagon. Captain Steve's offers food at a reasonable price, and the service was prompt.

We ordered the Sol Sunrise and the Berry Delish - Both were not only good but strong as well. Our waitress was polite and offered some good recommendations on what to get. We ended up getting the Salmon and Waffles w/ "Homestyle Fries" (roasted potatoes). The Salmon was perfectly seasoned with a nice crunch to it. The waffle was fine - Didn't look or taste like a fresh waffle but again it was fine. Those potatoes??? 10/10 - I could've just gotten those and would've been content since I'm an avid potato lover! Also, got the Sol All Star Breakfast. Waffle, Eggs, Turkey Bacon, and "Homestyle Fries." Everything was cooked as expected and taste was good. It's a nice brunch spot right at the boardwalk. Great location placement for any type of group.

The restaurant was busy but not overly so. They were able to seat us right away. There were lots of delicious items on the menu. My friends all got the salmon (two grilled and one fried). I got the crabcake because I just have to be different, I guess. They brought out cornbread muffins with honey butter that were delicious. They were really soft and cake-like and the honey butter topping was awesome. Two of us got side salads for our side and they came out with the meal, which isn't my preference but the food came out quickly any way so it was fine. The side salads were MASSIVE. Lettuce, cheese, tomatoes and onions (removed from mine) in a huge bowl. Probably could have been a meal to itself. The food came out and there was some confusion on sides that were mismatched and all of the salmons were grilled (instead of the one fried). Everyone really enjoyed their meal. I kinda wish I had gotten the salmon because it looked amazing and really well seasoned. The crab cake I had was good too. I think it had their Garlic Parmesan Cream sauce on top. The crab cake was big and had plenty of crab. I think I would have preferred a traditional tartar sauce on the side. I got their mac and cheese for my other side. It was super creamy and cheesy. It was also topped with the garlic parmesan cream sauce. Very tasty. Service was good. Not ton of visits to the table but I don't think we ever wanted for anything. My total with tip was about $40 and I think it was worth it for all the food I got. Would be a fun place to return too! Good job, Sol'Delish!

She greeted us with the most welcoming and warming smile and personality. She let us know about specials we never knew they had despite going there for over a year now. The restaurant is very spacious, laidback, but not overly casual. It's a good size for solo or group dining. Jhalen was my server and not only was he attentive and friendly, he was also very knowledgeable about the menu as well as the restaurant's events. He even suggested for me to try the Juicy Rum Punch since I like fruity cocktails, which turned out to be one of the best drinks I've had this year. I also had the Peachy Sunrise, which was enjoyable. I tried several menu items like the fried calamari, which was both crispy and chewy. I definitely loved the taste, which was even better when I dipped it in the restaurant's Boom Boom sauce. The sauce is like Bang Bang sauce, but slightly spicier with a kick of sweetness. The steamed oysters were packed with flavor, but were a bit too salty for me. I definitely would get the oysters again as it may not be as salty on another visit cause the flavor was there. Catfish is my favorite fish so if I ever see it on a menu, I'm going to get it, which is why I tried the fried catfish basket. I loved the crispiness, the seasoning and the size of the fillets as well as the Cajun fries I paired it with. However, the entrée with the best seasoning was the Combo 10 seafood boil. I got the Juicy Special seasoning which is a combination of Cajun seasoning, lemon pepper, and garlic butter. The flavor profile was immaculate. I definitely can't wait to come back because this first visit was dynamic.
