I can't say it enough!! The seafood here is the BEST of the BEST! My favorite place to get seafood boil in a bag! The flavor is ALWAYS AMAZING & the portion is perfect! Depending on how hungry I am, sometimes I may even have left overs and I take it home to eat it later & It still taste so good!! The customer service is always the best & they are kid friendly! They are always so nice and friendly to my kids. Dress casual & come ready to put on a bib and get your hands dirty! I promise you, you'll leave more than satisfied! Warning though, Once you've tried Crackin Crawfish, you'll always be craving for it. Consider yourself warned lol

Takeout: 1/2 LB. Combo- Pick 2 with snow crab and shrimp head-off deveined

I'll start this review by saying I ate here two consecutive days. . . Both days I ordered the pick two special with snow crab and shrimp. The special also came with corn, potato, boiled egg, and sausage. I subbed the sausage for corn one day and potato the second day. Everything was very flavorful. The first day I had the house special with a slice level of hot, and the second day I had the bayou seasoning with a spice level of hot. When they say hot, they mean hot! Please keep this in mind when ordering. All in, this one gets my stamp of approval.

Overall no complaints.... I'll get straight to it. Majority of the seafood places in Charlotte are the same. Same bag. Same flavors. Same menu. Etc... I liked crackin crawfish because they do have different flavors you can add to your bag. Check out the house special. Loved it! Follow my TikTok for full review... @SwaleEats

Crackin' Special: Dungeness crab and shrimp (no heads) combo + Moscato

I really enjoyed my recent experience at Crackin Crawfish. The food was great, and I liked that I got to try a little of everything with my Crackin' Special. Along with my combo of Dungeness crab and shrimp, I got corn, a boiled egg, potato and sausage. At other places that have crab boils, some of these extras cost more. Here, they were included so that was a nice change. I tried the House Special flavor with a medium spice level, and it definitely had a kick! The staff was very nice and attentive, and the restaurant was spacious. I would definitely go again.

We've been going to crackin crawfish since they've open and I'm so disappointed in our latest experience. There were at most 4 open tables at the time and not busy at all. Our server was behind the bar on her phone majority of the time and we had to get up twice to get her attention. When we finally got our food we were not satisfied at all. Like I've said before, we've been going since the beginning. Our sauce was watered down and had no flavor at all. Normally the sauce sticks to the seafood and is finger licking good. We let the server know so maybe they could just fix it in the back. However, it just seemed like we were the issue and they said they could charge us to fix the problem. They didn't seem to care and no one came over to check on us. If you look at the pictures you can see how the sauce stuck in the beginning and in the second one you can't even see the sauce on it.

Crackin Crawfish LLC is one of the OG seafood boil locations in Charlotte. This was my first time trying them. My family have been several times. I believe this is their restaurant of choice. We got there before the Friday night rush. We ordered two bags. Both with 1/2 pound Snow Crab and heads off Shrimp. One bag had Clams and the other didn't. The sauce was delicious. So good we spooned it over white rice. The boiled eggs covered in the sauce was also very good. The sauce is full of small garlic pieces and it's kind of sweet and tangy sauce. I did feel like the Clams were kinda gritty though. I really enjoyed the seafood and the House sauce is delicious. It's unlike at other sauce I've tried before. Luckily we snagged a spot and walked over to the lake area. We were seated quickly and our server took drink orders and gave us a chance to review the large menu. There is lots to choose from but, we decided on shrimp tacos. We tried the chipotle tacos and the grilled shrimp tacos. Both were very good. You get a choice of sides, and we tried the Mexican street corn salad and the Mac and cheese. I wasn't a huge fan of the corn salad. It was served cold, but I wasn't really a fan of the taste. The Mac and cheese looked creamy and gooey and was told it was really good. Next time I will order a different side. The atmosphere here is bright and lively with a nice view of the water where you can take paddle boat rides. People love to walk over here, so it is nice to have an open view. The restaurant has a tiki bar vibe and has surfing theme throughout the place. Really fun and relaxing. This is a great stop if you are in the area, expect to circle the lot a bit on the weekends, but the food and atmosphere are great here. We will definitely return to Boardwalk Billy's.

We ordered the Sol Sunrise and the Berry Delish - Both were not only good but strong as well. Our waitress was polite and offered some good recommendations on what to get. The waffle was fine - Didn't look or taste like a fresh waffle but again it was fine. Those potatoes??? 10/10 - I could've just gotten those and would've been content since I'm an avid potato lover! Also, got the Sol All Star Breakfast. Waffle, Eggs, Turkey Bacon, and "Homestyle Fries." Everything was cooked as expected and taste was good. It's a nice brunch spot right at the boardwalk. The restaurant was busy but not overly so. They were able to seat us right away. There were lots of delicious items on the menu. My friends all got the salmon (two grilled and one fried). I got the crabcake because I just have to be different, I guess. They brought out cornbread muffins with honey butter that were delicious. They were really soft and cake-like and the honey butter topping was awesome. Two of us got side salads for our side and they came out with the meal, which isn't my preference but the food came out quickly any way so it was fine. The side salads were MASSIVE. Lettuce, cheese, tomatoes and onions (removed from mine) in a huge bowl. Probably could have been a meal to itself. The food came out and there was some confusion on sides that were mismatched and all of the salmons were grilled (instead of the one fried). Everyone really enjoyed their meal. I kinda wish I had gotten the salmon because it looked amazing and really well seasoned. The crab cake I had was good too. I think it had their Garlic Parmesan Cream sauce on top. The crab cake was big and had plenty of crab. I think I would have preferred a traditional tartar sauce on the side. I got their mac and cheese for my other side. It was super creamy and cheesy. It was also topped with the garlic parmesan cream sauce. Very tasty. Service was good. Not ton of visits to the table but I don't think we ever wanted for anything. My total with tip was about $40 and I think it was worth it for all the food I got. Would be a fun place to return too! Good job, Sol'Delish!

Both times it was cooked as requested. The bun is nice and butternut and crispy. I tried the pizza, it's decent pizza, nothing amazing, but I doubt you'd get it and think it was bad. The crust was good, very crisp and the pizza is light with a little crisp to the dough, definitely not soggy. I had the French onion soup.... Unimpressed. I may be a French onion snob as I've been lucky to travel around the country and tried numerous soups (including in France). This was very average, I like the bread to be a little crispy, this was soggy, and the cheese, once I pushed into the soup. It all kind of gelled together. Like you can't get bites with other parts of the soup. I was literally using my knife to try and cut it apart so I could eat it in pieces and not one huge chunk. But it became too tedious and eventually I had to eat the cheese all together. I really liked the chicken wings, cooked well, I really enjoyed the bbq sauce. The wings are by far my favorite. As I have to come here multiple times a year to visit our office. I'm sure I'll try more food. For a hotel restaurant, it's pretty good.

Not a one was left. We both got greens, of which I liked, tangy sweet with a hit of fire. Now my seafood mac had more macaroni and not doing shrimp & lobster. The increasing tip pressure, particularly for take-out orders, has become very frustrating.
