This review is specifically for my bartender Shelton, although the food was amazing as well. Shelton was AMAZING. Super attentive and kind and gave a lot of recommendations on the drink menu and regular menu. I plan on coming back, hopefully he'll be working on the day/days I come in. Food was good too as well as the drinks!! 100/10 also plan on bringing friends!!! Great job red lobster and Shelton of course read more

A lobster duo was terrible. It was tasteless. The meat on the lobster was rubbery. I had better lobster, lobster tails at black Angus and much tastier and more satisfying. Don't waste your money. Only the young lady that took the order to go was a credit to your company it sure wasn't the cooks. That's for damn sure. read more

Pogiballseats POGIBALLS RATINGS Red Lobster, Brea CA #pogiballseats #filipinofoodie #foodie #foodies #filipinofoodies #redlobster #seafood #surfnturf #steak #calamari Overall rating 3 Stars Light snack "Ultimate Surf and Turf" Food 3 Stars Service 4 Stars Restaurant Cleanliness 4 Stars Restroom 4 Stars Price $$$$* The ultimate surf and turf was surprisingly disappointing. For the price you would expect a little larger and meatier cut of steak. It was cooked according to request (well done) but the cut was so thin that you feel like there was a peace of it missing and tasted like it was microwaved. The lobster was also a small peace. Other establishments offer larger peaces of lobster tail for lesser the cost. Everything on this dish from the steak to the shrimp seamed small minimal and less then what you paid for. The calamari was ok but a little over breaded and was so so, not the worst but not the best. read more

They only lost a star because of the long wait time for seating and food. The restaurant isn't even half full but their lobby is. Other than that, everything was fantastic! Place is fairly quiet, food was tasty, and staff was friendly. read more

I walked in with a party of five on a Thursday at 4pm. The place was empty and the host told us to give her it 10 minutes to clean off table. We sat down waited 10 minutes then she came over to tell us that she's sorry but there was only one server and that the other server that was supposed to come in, got a flat tire. We were so confused as to why there needed to be 2 servers in order for us to be seated, but anyway we just left. And they were ok with us leaving. read more

I used to love you Red Lobster, but it's time we break up! For years I loved the delicious food at red lobster. However, when my husband and I went on a date for a late lunch, we were very disappointed in the food. It tasted like frozen food that was reheated. We ordered the coconut shrimp and fish and chips to share. We always loved those two plates but this time we were very disappointed. The biscuits were the only thing that tasted good. Even the fries tasted old. I don't think anything was fresh. Red lobster, I really hope you bring back your fresh food. After looking at the crowd in the restaurant, I have a feeling many have broken up with you. Please return to your original ways of fresh food, great service and a packed restaurant of people waiting to come in and have a great meal. We miss all your greatness! Sincerely, Your former fan! read more

When the wifey and I finally had a chance to have a late lunch/early dinner without the kids, (thank you babysitter!!), we opted for one of our long time fav's, Red Lobster. You'd think that a 4:30 dinner would be uncrowded, but we had a 30 minute wait and the place was relatively empty. I chalk this up to the lack of labor in food service (as we all have read and seen on line). Once we got seated, though, our server was stellar and right on it. We had the free appetizer on our app, so we started with the lobster and artichoke dip. OMG, the dip is so good and so are the super thin tortilla chips. BUT The chips were way over salted. When each was eaten separately, it was good, but together it was way salty. We all know the sea is salty and so is Walt's favorite shrimp (sea a theme here? (pun intended)). The cheddar biscuits were really flakey and good, but were a little salty, too. Thank goodness our server was right on it with refilling our drinks. I must've had 4 diet Pepsi's (I know, I'm a diet Coke fan, but, hey what can you do?) to fight the salt. My snow crab and lobster was epic and NOT salty, so that made up for the others... just be prepared to either order everything with little to no salt or drink up your favorite drink. read more

It has been many years since we have visited a Red Lobster. Most likely we will never return. Parking lot was packed several people parked in the parking lot but walked to the mall. Restaurant was empty yet we were seated in the bar area in front of the restrooms. (Yuk) We did have a toddler in a high chair but that couldn't have been the only place in an otherwise empty restaurant a high chair could have been placed. Food was very slow to arrive. Lobster tails were over cooked and rubbery. Lobster bisque was the worst we've ever had. No real creaminess and almost like it was frozen and reheated. They did chop a bit of fresh parsley on the top. Biscuits were ok, I make them better from the box at home. Wait staff was lazy, left dirty dishes on our table instead of taking them to make room for entrees. Had to ask for more iced tea. Our waiter did not even ask if we were enjoying our meal or if we needed anything. We were very disappointed. read more

Red Lobster - Walt's Favorite Shrimp with a side of mashed potatoes and coleslaw - Seafood Near Me - Brea, California

This is to amend my September 26, 2024 review. Today I went into the Brea Red Lobster to show them my review and their online offer to basicly "make things right". I ordered the fish and chips again. This time it was a great experience. The fish was HUGE with a light batter surrounding a flakey delicious white fish. The order also comes with a "to die for" coleslaw, perfect "french fries" (chips) and their signature "cheezy bisquits". This was "washed down" with a tall glass of draft beer which I paid for. I am really glad that I went back. The service, as before, was excellent. I highly recommend that you try their version of ENGLISH "Fish and Chips". read more

I wanted to order from red lobster I wanted some crab lobster a steak quite a few things. It was a big $300 order. It was so disappointing. The shrimp were so tiny. The lobster shrunk up and was like nothing. Then we just nippled on the shrimp, everything could improve their food is going down the toilet. I was so disappointednext time people think before you go and spend a lot of money somewhere. read more

We came here on a Sunday and were sat within 10 minutes. Our server quickly brought out some bead for the table. I ordered a poke bowl and my bf ordered the lobster tail plate. For drinks, we ordered a margarita and my bf a modelo. When he asked for another modelo the server said it would be the last one. I'm not sure what was meant by that but I didn't question it and assumed they were out since she didn't specify. Overall the food was good and the portions were filling. read more

Overall this is one of the cleanest RL's I've come across in a while. I had a party of six which I made sure to make a open table "reservation" for. The whole party was there fifteen minutes prior to preferred time to make sure we could be seated properly. Come to find out, making a call ahead, reservation for the waitlist, etc, the hostesses and manager were not prepared at all. They kept referring to calling servers in for work. I run a business, and I never have an excuse like they insisted on using. So we basically sat there waiting for 45 minutes after our requested time, watching other parties of four or more, get seated. Bad form manager. The hostess didn't bother to properly seat us. He dropped the menus and bounced sooner than we could sit down. Bad bad bad. Mind you we were seated in the very back away from everything, which was actually kind of nice, seeing as we could have pleasant conversations. We never saw the host or manager again the rest of the night. Our server Laura, came over to take our drink and appetizer order. She was very sweet, very courteous, and really an all around a great service provider. Lastly, everything went well after our server came to the rescue for this particular Red Lobster. From the appetizers, to the dinner entrees, to the service Laura provided. She seemed always available, and thoughtful of our drinks, and overall satisfaction. I would have giving this place 1 star, just based on the zero attentiveness and apathy of the host station. They're the worst at customer service, and unapologetically incompetent. It seems that this red lobster can't provide the basics for incoming patrons. Which makes me wonder if we were lucky to get Laura as our server. Thank you Laura, you're the best. read more

My guy and I came in at the last minute for a late night cocktail and snack. (It was about an hour before they closed). We were seated at a table, and although restaurant wasn't busy, the servers seemed a bit preoccupied. (Maybe had close-up duties). Although, they were all very courteous, we opted to move to the bar. Our bartender was amazing. Super sweet about menu choices, especially considering we opted to actually get dinner, steak and lobster. And he was more than willing to make a drink that wasn't on the menu. (Wish I would've paid more attention to his name.) It was a great time for laughing and joking together. In an environment that we could actually hear each other. For a fast dinner, we were well taken care of by all staff. read more

To be honest there is not much to say about Red Lobster. I do here about once or twice a year to celebrate some family birthdays, but I never come here because I am craving it. You will get some good food, good drinks, decentish prices and good service. What I get: I try to change it up when I come so that I can go around the menu. I have tried everything from the Lobster Roll, to Walt's Shrimp, the lobster, crab legs, and everything in between. The last time I stopped by I got The Admiral which is a mix of fried foods such as shrimp, white fish, clam strips and scallops. It was all fried so it good, didn't have much taste to anything. Location: Located in the same area as the Brea Mall, parking can sometimes get hectic. Last time I came during COVID protocols and was seated outside. There is only about 6 tables out there, one waiter, and one server. Inside it is usually dimly lit, with both booths and tables to sit at. Notes: Red Lobster does not have the worlds greatest seafood, but it is yummy. I do not complain when we have to come. read more

The food was under whelming, bland, glutinous, ( gooey) and terribly unseasoned. Yuck is way to mellow. Front greeting(?) staff require training! Not even a hello just follow the wait staff to our table. read more

It has been a while since I've been to a Red Lobster. The menu has completely changed - and NOT for the better. It seems that before there was a wider variety of fish. My favorite, grilled cod, is no longer offered. I used to get this cod, broccoli and a green salad. A perfect meal, at a reasonable price. So I settled for a special they had - mahi mahi with NO fancy sauces on top. It came with rice and vegetables. The server told me I could not substitute the sides. I would have gotten broccoli and a green salad if I was able to - BUT I wasn't. Salads are now an extra charge. So for 2 of us - I got this mahi mahi special, my husband got steak and lobster, an iced tea and a soda. The bill came to $99.91. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?????????????? All the workers were extremely nice, but unfortunately that didn't make up for the mediocre food and outrageous prices. read more

I was a little disappointed. I think I am losing my faith in Red Too corporate!!!!! I ordered a salad as one of my sides. Corporate decides that a salad is considered a "PREMIUM" side. So that means more money. I was charged $3.99 extra. This is ridiculous. It is only iceberg lettuce for crying out loud. Red Lobster you people need to stop being tight wads. The specials they advertise are not special for you. They are specials for them [corporate] At this rate where greed reigns it is better to support small mom and pop shops. read more

Red Lobster - The poor little souls who will soon loose their lives so humans can enjoy a good meal. Wow what a sacrifice! - Seafood Near Me - Brea, California

My husband, girlfriend and I went to dine-in yesterday, Thursday, April 8. Quite, QUITE good!! Our server Kevin was VERY attentive, personable yet professional. DRINKS: My Malibu Hurricane drink was SPOT ON-not too sweet, not too alcohol-y, but just right. My girlfriend's Triple Berry Sangria (made with red wine) she said was very good. She asked if they had raspberry ice tea, they didn't but Kevin our server did make her one with the raspberry syrup from the bar. THAT'S SERVICE!!! STARTER: The fried calamari starter is enough for 3 people. Very yummy! ENTREES: The Bar Harbor is my husband's fave, with 3 small lobster tails, and quite a few shrimps and bay scallops. I had the bacon-wrapped scallops and the salmon. Very tasty. My girlfriend had the Thursday night special, Walt's fried shrimp with a beverage for $12.99. She got a LOT of shrimp, plus two sides! SIDES: Quinoa side, enh. Kinda tasteless to me, anyway. Coleslaw, the usual coleslaw. Can't mess that up! The fried brussels sprouts were suprisingly tasty AND toothsome! NOT your usual brussels sprouts. I would, if I were you, order a side you and another would like, then your friend can order the brussels sprouts as their side, then share. Since the Bar Harbor meal doesn't come with sides, I should've asked my husband what side HE'D like of mine. DUH! MISC: They don't take reservations yet, and you are seated when your ENTIRE party is there, so you can't sit at a table or booth and camp. Due to social distancing, tables HAVE to be turned and burned so that patrons can be accommodated! read more

I've only been to Red Lobster twice. The last time was over 15 years ago. Being in SoCal we have the luxury of many different options of seafood, and this isn't one of my first options to consider. Because my wife received some gift cards to RL, we decided to order take out. The online process is super easy. Menus intuitive. Options customizable. You can order pickup, curbside takeout, or delivery via Doordash. I went with the curbside takeout. The food we ordered were the lobster trio, extra biscuits, muscles appetizers, trout, and the sides were the Brussels sprouts, green beans, and lobster mash potatoes. The food was surprisingly really good. A little bit on the salty side for the seafood linguine, but everything tasted delicious. Biscuits really are the stars of the meal. For about $5.50 for a dozen, it's a great snack. Lobsters were good, American style grilled and baked. So this is the part where I docked two points. The curbside takeout stated to go to the designated parking and call the pickup phone number. I arrived right at the estimated time on the receipt. Went through the teleprompts and waited for someone to pick up the phone. Over 10 minutes passed and noticed another driver next to me go inside and then picked up his food. I decided to go inside and see what was going on. It was fairly busy, almost every table had patrons. Was a little surprised since it's still Covid going on, but lots of families and kids. The place inside looked terrific, nice center bar. Oh back to my food... after speaking to the host up front, he said to head to the bar and they'll get my order. Got the order immediately, and everything inside was nicely packed. Plastic utensils provided. If it wasn't for the lack of curbside pick up, i wouldn't mind giving this place 5 stars. Food was solid. But seriously, if they are going to offer this optional service, the very least is to provide that service. Hopefully they'll address this. read more

All she replies was " well I can sit you now" I even told her, you know I'm trying to handle this privately without calling corporate (as I'm be nicer! I'm extremely disappointed in this visit at Red lobster I recently had, we were seated immediately which was great, the waitress stopped by fairly quickly and I mentioned to her that I hadn't been to this establishment in over 10 years, she didn't recommend any drinks, so we continued to look over the drink menus , I asked about the margarita flights and how big they were she mentioned that they are normal sized and really good, I ordered it but they were pure mix, I even had my friend try it and he said the exact same thing, I had to flag her down and ask to exchange it, and she kind of got snarky and asked "what's wrong with it" I explained and she brought my other drink which was a little better. She came back later and I asked about any good recommendations, she pointed out one which I ended up ordering. Food was great until I found a small hair under my steak ( black) I'm a blonde! I push my plate to the side to wait for her to come back mean while I didn't say anything to my friend because he was enjoying his food so much and I didn't want to gross him out, she never came by to check on us we had to flag her down prior to get crab cracker and butter, and then flag her down again so I could show her the hair, she had a total attitude with me and said "well what is it and where" she came back and said her manager took it off the bill. Well we continued for about 20 minutes, and normally a manager would stop by and apologize or offer a dessert or something, nothing! I saw a manger walk by 4x times and look at us with disgust l, very uncomfortable and super unprofessional. I've been in the Food and beverage industry for over 13 years , and I will NEVER come here again. I don't recommend it, unless you want careless service and hair in your food read more
