Why is the food here so bad? The staff is real nice, and the menu looks appealing, but, the restaurant is dirty and not comfy. And, why- why, does it smell like a fishing shack? Because the cleaning crew does a bad job. The food didn't arrive hot, which I blame the server, and it was just dumped on our plates. The place we go when my wife is hungry for popcorn shrimp - and cheese biscuits! That was the case this night. Since the snow birds have flown north getting in at 6pm was a problem. But, with the restaurant about 60% full the hostess seated us in the lounge - and at a corner booth with seating for 6 - for the TWO of us! After our server took our drink order we asked if we could move to the next booth - a 4 top! She said sure and we were much more comfortable. This is your standard seafood chain restaurant. My wife wanted to try the all you can eat shrimp (scampi and grilled wasabi skewers) and I had the admirals feast. Just had a combo birthday party/going away part at RL. 5 adults. Only waited 4-5 minutes to be seated. Restaurant was full but not over crowded. 4 course meal with only 3 coursed delivered. Two orders of crab legs and ask 3 different waiters for implements to break the legs. Waited 15 minites, then two showed up simultaniously. An order with a change out from shrimp to scallops. Delivered with shrimp. Commented immediatelyand again after 6-8 minutes. Everyone was 3 minutes from completing their meal when the scallops arrived. Cola refill took 10 minutes. Loved some of the limited specials. But, for the money spent I can get a much better dining experience else where. The need to re-do their dining room, we were looking at ripped up carpets under an adjacent table and it was gross. Employees were also hanging around in the lobby area, and ladies room talking about personal stuff. It will be awhile before we go back. read more

It was an awful experience for us. Me and my friend went to this place last Friday to find "A hair" in the scampi. I couldn't believe my eyes. That looked like a lady's hair. I completely lost my appetite in the middle of dinner. I just hope that the waiter reported to the manager immediately. I would not go there again. read more

My husband and I sat at the bar on 10/11/18 to order take out. The bar tender appeared very busy with only 3 customers. The other gentleman at the bar was from Kansas City visiting on business. He was very pleasant and patient despite terrible delays and multiple requests before he got his food. The server never smiled or acknowledged his requests. He stated that he thought it was because he was African American. The food was good but I'm not sure we will be back to witness such a horrible display of customer service or the lack of! We stopped here on Wednesday while having our car serviced down the street. We frequent Red Lobster because of the excellent food, consistency and reasonable prices. We had the four course Dinner, (you can only get from Mon - Thurs), which includes choice of soup or chowder, choice of salad and choice of 6 different entrees and dessert for $16.99. You get a choice of one side with the entree. Guaranteed the best value on the menu. I had Lobster Bisque ($1.00 additional), Caesar Salad (ice cold), Coconut Shrimp and Grilled Asparagus and Brownie w/ Ice cream. He had Clam Chowder, Ceasar salad, Coconut Shrimp, mashed potato topped with Lobster (extra) and a Brownie w/ Ice cream. We have NEVER had a mediocre meal here and always plenty of food. Attempted to have an unwind moment with a nice dinner after a long day of travel and shopping. Obviously I picked the wrong place to attempt that. This was the worst dining experience I have EVER had. A mistake on food is one thing, that happens. But the servers at this establishment are clearly just there to have a job and not to serve the people. I waitressed for years, did they up the base salary that I don't know about? Because no way they can make money with the behaviors I witnessed today. I waited about 10-15 minutes for my waitress to come back after dropping off my initial order. After she came back, I asked for some sour cream, as I received a baked potato instead of the mashed potatoes that I had ordered. No problem, I was going to just go ahead and eat it. This waitress then went over to a corner near the bar with 2 or 3 other servers where they drank strawberry lemonade and chatted. Some may have been on break but a couple, especially mine, definitely were not and she had multiple tables waiting on her. If my business was not wanted, they could have just told me at the door and saved me the hassle instead of blatantly disrespecting a customer. Bread was brought out a step shy of cold. Salad was good. The rest, well I couldn't tell you, as I absolutely refused to eat or pay for cold food that has sat for no other reason than Red Lobster clearly has staff on duty who could care less. TIPS are To Insure Proper Service. Not sure how these folks are surviving, as there was nothing proper about their service. Save yourself a headache, eat somewhere else. Watching commercials with my son and mentioned how long since I had a lobster or crab. Next week he gave me a 25.00 card for red lobster. I got the admiral platter. The tiny lobster tail was curled out of the shell and chewy, the crab was rubbery and you could not even get the meat out, stuck to shells. The butter served is tasteless and is like oil or something. Server replaced the crab and the next was the same, but at least served hot. Both meals were served cold . Lived here for 50 years and will not go back no matter how tempting the ads look. Food not fresh or cooked,served fresh. Was a exspensive night for a single dad. The better I have experienced was at this same location. We have always enjoyed their food, both eating in but mostly as carry out. They always give such good carry out service, we didn't mind too much how pricey it is. Tonight, we got our regular carry out, seafood platter for hubby and my Shrimp Caesar salad. The biscuits always top off the meals. It was mentioned when the order was placed. "Don't worry, we will fix you up with biscuits". That used to mean one or two extra added. Tonight, no biscuits at all and my salad was made from nothing but ice berg lettuce with 2 or 3 thin flakes of Parmesan. I was visiting my grandmother in Bradenton, and since she loves seafood, my wife and I took her to the local Red lobster. We went somewhat early, about 5 PM, and the place seemed to be deserted. My grandmother is a very kind, unassuming lady who is 85 years old, she is not senile, but tends to forget things sometimes and cannot hear so well. She asked our waitress, Joy, if the swordfish was heavily seasoned. The waitress seemed upset to be asked a question like that. She told us that she would check with the cook. She came back and said that it was very lightly seasoned. Grandma ordered the swordfish but I saw that she only took a few bites. I had to press her to find out that it was too salty, so I tasted it and it tasted like pure salt. She told me not to say anything that it was OK. But I asked the server and she said that salt is not a seasoning. What? I asked her to see a manager and this very rude man, Mike, came by the table and said disgustingly that he would take it off of the bill. I will never go back there again. Considering how slow they were on a Saturday evening, I would think that they'd be more professional. read more

One of our favorite restaurant in Bradenton Area, but today Saturday night when an incident happened. One of the manager (male) bumped into one of the waiter right in front of our table, water splashes, ice scattered all over the place and as well as lemon. They all went inside the kitchen leaving the floor unattended with ice cubes all over the floor. I kept my eyes on it just incase costumer will pass by. 2 mins. Later no one came back to clean it. Waiters and waitresses start coming out including the said manager and start walking over the scattered ice cube and lemon. Disgusting, the manager did not do anything or manage it well. Luckily one guy came and start kicking the ice cube sin the corner, I was shocked on how this worker work in this restaurant. I intervene and said to the guy don't you use broom and dust pan for that? He answered me scarcastically and showed no respect at all. I wish they will train this people on how to take care and respect their customer. This is restaurant where you handle food for god sake! learn some manners and respect your customer. This was unacceptable, no proper management and Jimmy was being rude and disrespectful . As we were leaving I noticed that they left the ice melting on the carpet. On the top of this No manager came and check on us asking how's everything? This would be the last time will eat in this restaurant. But food was great! read more
