We absolutely love coming to Red Lobster! It's one of our family's favorite spots. I absolutely love this location. It's in a busy part of town & the restaurant is also usually busy, so always a good sign! There's good parking. The inside has a TON of space. I have never say in the same area twice. I love that it's nice, dark, and decorated nicely. Our server was Ozzy & he was phenomenal. Very attentive, friendly & quick to get us what we needed! Wonderful server. Now the food! I always get the filet & it is always perfect. Today I paired it with broccoli & mashed potatoes. A perfectly portioned meal. The steak was tender and packed with flavor. The potatoes were my second favorite. We had calamari as an appetizer & it was perfectly crisp! My husband has a linguini plate which he said was great. Our daughter got grilled shrimp off the kids menu and a sundae. Everything was great. Yes, the prices are high. Service: I would give a negative star if I could. This visit was terrible. Our server Ted brought out a nasty, dirty plate that had left-over food on it n super greasy. I mentioned about the dirty plate he had brought us to use for our bread n no apologies. For a small party of 2, our main dishes did not come for a very long time; well over 40 mins while the party behind us had showed up around the same time w more ppl than us and was ready to leave when we finally got our food. Food was not as good as last visit 2 weeks before. I ordered grilled salmon n the salmon did not look like salmon n had fish bones in it. I ended up swallowing a couple not knowing it had bones in it. And it was not grilled as per order. Not sure how they cooked it. No apologies or explanations as to why the food took so long.. Yummy again! We got a lot of different options, we wanted to try everything haha. Mainly the seafood boils, and all the different sauce options they offer! It was pretty pricey but there were a lot of leftovers even with three people eating! Service was great, they were friendly and fast, made sure we had fresh biscuits to go at the end lol. Also they do birthday sundaes here! No need for an app or a dumb subscription to something like other places lol. Came for a double date. It was super dead. Our server was sweet , but didn't check up on us much. As appetizers we got the mozzarella sticks and the lobster flatbread. The flatbread was a 10/10!! I'd recommend getting that. The mozzarella sticks were great as well. Entrees we got the Lobster and Shrimp, Create Your Own Ultimate Feast, and the Ultimate Spendless Shrimp plate. Everything was amazing, especially the pasta. I wish they gave out wipes to clean hands for the snow crabs, and also have something to help crack them open. My husband and I were needing a date night so we decided to have an early dinner at our favorite seafood restaurant. (Well, our favorite one in town, that is.) We got there just before 5 pm on a Wednesday and we were seated immediately. The restaurant was nice and quiet with only a few tables being served. Our waiter, Jason, was super friendly and patient with us. I say "patient" because I couldn't decide what I wanted! As per usual, we ordered way too much but we love being able to take it home and have leftovers the next day. Before our main dish, we ordered the amazing Crispy Dragon Shrimp. It has a nice tangy Asian flavor. We absolutely love it! If they made it into a salad or something, I would totally get that as a meal (HINT HINT R.L.). Jason informed us that it was happy hour so we also got the Seafood Stuffed Mushrooms. (I love mushrooms so that one was for me, and I'm totally having the leftovers for dinner tomorrow!) My husband ordered the Ultimate Feast where he created his own with a lobster tail, crab legs, shrimp alfredo, and shrimp scampi. He gave it two thumbs up! I had a hard time deciding but I'm trying to have a high protein diet so I went with the Surf and Turf, which is apparently part of their Wednesday deal. It normally comes with two sides but on Wednesday it only has one side and is a little cheaper than normal. I was 100% fine with that. I ordered my steak medium rare and they nailed it. I can say that the steak could have used a bit more seasoning and/or marinade but it was overall good. And of course lobster drowning in clarified butter is always amazing. The lobster was cooked just right, not chewy and over cooked like I've experienced in other restaurants. The restaurant started to get busier as we were finishing so I did take a minute to get the check but it really wasn't that bad. We didn't get clam chowder this time because we have been disappointed lately with it. This has been an issue with almost every restaurant... Where are the clams!? I took my girls out for dinner. My oldest and I shared the ultimate feast. My youngest ordered the grilled shrimp skewer. Our waitress was super attentive and just very nice. She accidentally didn't enter my youngest's meal, but went above and beyond to make up for it. It wasn't busy or too loud. Finally used my birthday reward and got us a free dessert. The drinks and biscuits were very good! The food itself, okay. My party mainly got shrimp many different ways and we found it satisfactory. The coconut shrimp was my favorite by far. The tropical sangria was really good though, I'm not a big wine lover but it tasted really good to me. On the clam chowder, a member of my party said "I've had worse" if that helps contextualize. The service was very good, it wasn't too crowded, he checked in often with us. The restaurant was clean and the vibe from all the employees went well. The food was dependable, nothing outstanding but it wasn't horrible either. Most of the time my complaint with seafood is it's overcooked but the lobster was on point. My husband won a $50 gift card at a golf tournament so we decided to use it this evening. I haven't eaten at a Red Lobster in decades, it's been since the early 2000's. I'm not much of a cooked seafood fan, although I do like shrimp and love sushi. It's a texture thing. The place hasn't changed much. The restaurant seating area still looks like it's stuck in the 90's. But all the booths seem comfortable enough. Anyway, we were greeted and seated, our waitress came almost immediately with their signature cheesy dinner rolls. Yum! We are early diners, it's a Saturday and we arrived at about 4:45. The place was nearly empty. They have a special 3 course menu for 21.99, it looked like a good deal so I ordered the Caesar salad, coconut, shrimp, and shrimp scampi. My husband ordered New England climb chowder, crispy dragon shrimp and shrimp scampi. I'd say the food came out in an average amount of time, not lightening fast. That's OK to me, as it seems there is some care in preparation. Everything was the right temperature when served, the right texture (crispy, crunchy, etc.) and was absolutely delicious. It was actually a LOT of food. For us as seniors, next time we will order a soup and one of these 3 course dinners and split it. Also, I don't think Red Lobster gets enough credit for the excellent service and food they are offering, if my experience is indicative of the average experience. I'd say Bakersfield should embrace Red Lobster anew. I certainly will. read more

Our entrees were fish-n-chips and harbor bay bake and a side of crab Mac-n-cheese. The fish-n-chips were okay. The fish was so over cooked and chewy, it grossed me out and I couldn't finish it. The harbor bay bake had no flavor and was swimming in a watery butter sauce like the pasta wasn't drained sufficiently. The seafood was steamed and just put on top. Same thing with the crab Mac-n-cheese. It was tangy and the lump crab meat was sitting on top looking like a fish out of water. There was no merging of the two flavors or textures. Almost like someone opened a can of lump crab meat and dumped it on the Mac-n-cheese!!! The biscuits were overdone too; you could tell they were going to burn. Maybe Red Lobster can't handle a late dinner even though the website said it closed at 11 pm, or maybe their cooks checked out. I usually enjoy this place but tonight was disappointing. From the moment we walked in, the staff was warm and welcoming. Our server was incredibly attentive without being overbearing--she made great recommendations and checked in just the right amount. The food? Delicious! The crispy dragon calamari were perfectly cooked, with just the right amount of spice. And of course, the cheddar bay biscuits were everything. I just want to start by saying the food and service were both fantastic! It's been a while since we've had such a great experience with a server. Chyna was our waitress, and she was awesome! Super friendly, funny, and genuine, she really made us feel comfortable. Chyna made sure we felt taken care of the entire time. Honestly, I would've tipped her more if I had enough cash on me! My husband came here for his birthday, we got drinks, and they were perfectly made. On top of that, the staff surprised us by singing Happy Birthday, which was a really nice touch and made the celebration feel extra special. The restaurant had a nice vibe, even with other birthdays being celebrated, so it wasn't distracting at all. The ambience was just right, making for a relaxed and enjoyable evening. We showed up at 2:30pm on a Saturday and we did not make a reservation but it was ok cause it wasn't crowded at all yet. The restaurant was clean and peaceful. We were greeted right away and they let us know someone would come out to seat us. I appreciated that communication. Shortly after someone came out and we were seated. Juan was our waiter and he did a fabulous job. We mentioned it was our kids birthdays. He was nice and polite. We weren't sure what appetizer to get so he recommended the lobster artichoke dip which was delicious. He asked if we wanted a refill of the famous biscuits which was great. He also refilled any drinks that were low. The lobster was tender and the steaks were cooked to order. After we were done with our meal, Juan and the other employees came over with ice cream and a candle and sang Happy Birthday to our boys. It was super nice of them since we didn't even ask for them to do that. They gave both of our boys a bday ice cream which really made them feel special. (Maybe they were a little embarrassed lol but when we got home they said they thought that was so nice of them.) We were seated right away and our server was so nice considering the fact that it took us awhile to decide what to order. First of all, the bread rolls?? Best. Bread. Rolls. Ever. We couldn't have enough of it and had three orders of it before our food even came. We were already satisfied with how the rolls tasted! For appetizer, we ordered the Lobster and Langostino Pizza and it tatsed divine. The lobster added to the pizza was a great decision! At this point, we were already 75% full. I came in to order a lobster roll, I had been waiting for a nice night to treat myself, and thought oh Saturday would be a good day when everything should be fresh. I ordered it to go, the staff was friendly, and I waited about 13 minutes for my food, it cost $40 for the lobster roll which comes with a side of your choice and they give two of their biscuits. When I got home to open my food I was disappointed, it looked the the scraps off of everyone else's lobster plates, it was a bit over cooked to so it tasted rubbery and not fresh at all. The Hawaiian roll they put it on isn't really a good choice either because it gets soggy quickly. I'm surprised because when I came in with my family a few weeks ago to dine in, everything was fresh and reasonably priced. I don't think I'll be back again for awhile. We ordered the Mariners boil, it is not a good as it seems to be. 50 dollars for a cluster of snow crab legs two very small lobsters and dozen of what seemed to be baby shrimp and very small potatoes. As for the service the waitress was very nice. Overall I just do not recommend the Seafood boils as I assume the shrimp is very same for both of them and the cheaper one's only seafood is the shrimp. read more
