Affordable, clean, accessible, comfortable no-frills. Who could ask for anything more? Curious, though, that these clearly rustic cabins are furnished with heavy granite top furniture .

Great place to stay in Kanab. Clean, cozy and quiet. Staff is friendly. Will visit again.

Affordable and clean. The shower had no shower curtain when we arrived, went to the office, he gave me a new one which we had to put in - but no big deal. The cabin was clean and we couldn't hear anyone since the cabins were not connected to one another. If you have more than one vehicle or a towing something u would have to park in the overflow. Otherwise u can park right in front of your cabin. That was nice for unloading and felt safe. The bathroom area was small but clean tub and no signs of mold-- just the hard water stains on the shower head. The room had microwave and mini fridge. The office building you check in had ice and you can fill your bottles with filtered water. The only thing was that we ran out of hot water for showers when 4 of us showered one after the other. But otherwise Definitely recommend staying here. Also Close to places to eat- but a lot of then are closed on Sundays. (Didn't get a chance to take a pic of the inside but check expedia for photos! I booked thru there)

Our cozy cabin nice views behind us

Last minute stay at Red Canyon Cabins snd it was great . Only about a 3 1/2 hour ride from from Las Vegas this was a great get away. Each cabin is approximately 250 to 330 sq feet equipped with everything you need. Our cabin had two queen size beds, a dresser, a sofa that opened to a bed , two chairs, tv of course, microwave, small fridge and full nice size bathroom. Our room was immaculate. Each cabin is separate and with this covid 19 it's good do your keeping your social distancing . You can park right in front of your door and if you have a boat ATV or any other large toys they have an area in the middle of the cabins to park them. Our air condition worked amazing. The staff in the front office were fantastic and the cleaning crew were fantastic. They also have two bbq's and tables if you would like to bbq something ! Definitely a place we will be heading back to.

There was about 13 of us and we were all accommodated! Cabins were clean and had everything we needed. The only thing is the fridge does not get very cold so I would take an ice chest or something.

View from our little porch at night.

I can't give this place enough stars. Friendly efficient hosts. Cute rooms with fridge, microwave and coffeemaker. Our room was 2 beds. And had a bistro table and chairs outside on our porch. Drive right up to your cabin. Very efficient a/c. TV. (Never used it) Phone in room (didn't need it) 2 usb outlets. Ceiling fans. I think housekeeping is every other day. And they do a really nice job. Beds are really comfortable. Pillow are eh. Bring your own if you're super fussy. I've had way worse pillows at way more expensive places. Very close to a nice coffee place. Gas station and 7-11 too. 1/2 mile to Escobar's Mexican (really good). And a little further to the downtown of Kanab. Price on Father's Day weekend was really good. About an hour to Bryce and 1 hour 15 to Zion. Nice little trails and things to do right here in Kanab. And Kanab your co. right across the road. Ask for Cash. He was an amazing guide. And they will pick you up right here.

Location, location, location. Right in the middle of THREE National Parks, Pink Sand State Park, Lake Powell (Bryce, Zion, Escalante). Location, location, location! Kanab is centrally located near Bryce, Zion, Lake Powell, and Pink Sand State Park and so many other MUST SEE places!! No one staying over or under or attached to your room, these cabins are quaint and spacious! Our room had not on, but THREE queen beds!! The bathroom has a tub/shower combo. The room has chairs, dressers, table, lamps, fridge, microwave, and the porch, YES, there's a porch!!! There are two chairs and a table! Can you say morning coffee watching a sunrise? We just used camp chair for our extra person!! Front desk gentleman was quiet, but smiled, courteous, and I appreciate him! Gave me all the info I needed. Our room was clean, the furnishings reminded me of well made, quality, real hardwood (but maybe older). I like traditional, so it was no problem for me. It's clean and well cared for!! If I want a modern hotel, I'll stay in one, this is a cute cabin!! Park in front of your cabin! Load, unload, have your vehicle right there! WISHES I wish they had horseshoe pit or some type of outdoor games. Maybe access to a pool or spa, or both!! Fire pit for campfire stories & s'mores!! Add more USB charging or outlets. Nitpicking (because you asked): Motel, Check behind bathroom doors and clean, it gets missed:) Add one more pillow per bed. (Again, just suggesting. Beds have three pillows) Leave a few extra towel sets:) Have housekeeping get printed envelops. By the way people, it is COMMON practice to leave tips for Houskeeping. Magic didn't make your room clean before arrival, nor after you leave:). Encourage them to make it even nicer:) XOXOX

Enjoyed my stay! Very clean cabin and comfortable. Not too far from Zion National Park, about 1hour and 10 minutes depending what time you leave. It's in a safe area and I liked that you can park your car right in front of your cabin! Our no smoking cabin came with: 2 queen beds, tv, two chairs, a bathroom (with shower and toilet inside), two dressers, two ceiling fans, and a sink outside the bathroom and air conditioning. Also comes with conditioner, shampoo and two bars of soap.

Mirror in the bathroom had so much dust on it

If I could give this place a negative zero I would. My husband took me here for my birthday weekend . From the outside the cabins are beautiful. Oh, but once we entered our cabin is when reality set in. The toilet had dried up poop stains in it, the sheets had holes in them, the bathroom wall had dried up blood on it. There was dust piled over all the vents, ceiling fans and on all the rails in the restroom. There were numerous spider webs all over, the front door was so dirty. When my husband went to the office to notify management he came in with a dirty towel and toilet scrubber to clean the toilet and said that the holes in the sheets weren't that bad. House keeping knocked on the door the next morning, but we were in the middle of getting dressed. My husband asked her to come back a little later. Well guess what she never came back at all and had the nerve to leave an handwritten envelope that says thanks for your tips. THE ONLY TIP I HAVE FOR THIS PLACE IS DO BETTER!!! YOU GUYS SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES!!! I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO MY WORST ENEMY!!!

Great place to stay on vacation or if you're passing through. Since the cabins are separate, they are much quieter than many hotels.

This review is based on my two-night stay from 10/17/25 - 10/19/25…read more I had heard great things about this place so was really looking forward to checking it out. I was also hoping to "rent" a pet from the Animal Sanctuary for the duration of our visit, but alas, checked in too late for that. I'd advise anyone who wants to "rent" a pet to call in advance to understand the process and time cut-off. I loved the room. It was super cute and well-appointed for guests with pets. There were two bowls waiting near the front door, and two adorable sleeping areas - one in a cut-out in the wall, and another a pull-out trundle-style bed. The mercantile/ store was stocked with cute apparel for pet-lovers as well as items for pets. Breakfast was also served in the store in the morning - with lots of interesting and yummy options - like vegan egg bites and chia seed pudding. 10/10 recommend this place!!

The Best Place For Travelers With Or Without Pets…read more.... For our final 5 nights across the Southwest US, we stayed at the Best Friends Roadhouse. The BF Animal Sanctuary was on our schedule (at least 2 of the 4 days) and both reviews and their website looked great. Pros: - Location: Convenient, especially is you're visiting the Sanctuary. On the main road in the north part of Kanab. - Exterior: A newish looking hotel with nice views to the north and west. - Room: Excellent. Our king suite was spacious. One VERY large room included a big bedroom, a good sized kitchen and a spacious bathroom/shower/vanity. It also had plenty of space for storage and large closets. All done with contemporary Scandinavian furniture which minimizes clutter and convenient controls for lighting, ventilation and automatic shades. - Employees: Helpful. People at the reception desk and in the breakfast area/"Mercantile Shop" were all very friendly. - Breakfast: Vegan and very good. Included with the room. While it wasn't a buffet, you could order as much as you'd like. Much of it was homemade and I especially liked the "Overnight Oats". Unusual Pros: - Cats and dogs are encouraged to stay with accommodations in the room and across the property - "Barn Door" to create privacy between the bedroom and bathroom - Free laundry - Free iPad to use while in the room - Nicely equipped kitchen - Plentiful towels - Choice of full daily housekeeping, partial or none - Attractive high desert landscaping - If you'd like merchandise from Best Friends, the Mercantile Shop had everything Cons: - Bath towels for our first day were luxurious. The next 4 days were like a Holiday Inn. - Toilet paper was 1...maybe 2 ply and quite scratchy - Tissues were a bit rough - Parking was tight, especially on weekends and after 7 PM There are many places to stay in Kanab since it's a busy stop for Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks, but the Roadhouse would be our only choice.

We didn't arrive until late Christmas Eve and the lobby was shut down. (fine). We didn't know how to get into our room. After some phone calls were made, we were able to get in the room. As previously mentioned, this hotel/lodge is under new management and has been renovated /updated. Not all the rooms have been redone. The golden age of small bathrooms with no counter space has long since passed. Since we travel to SLC quite frequently, one night is perfect for the Parry Lodge.

When my friends told me they booked this place and I read the reviews after-the-fact, I was so sure it was going to be old, dank, musty and gross. We arrived at night and I was still skeptical of this place. Front desk told us to park on the side of the building on the dirt area. Driving around out back, there was this creepy abandoned barn that gave me horror movie vibes. Our room was in the newer 2-story building. Walking inside though, there were lights everywhere and pictures of celebrities who have stayed there. I saw a guy cleaning one of the rooms and the hallway smelled of Lysol or some cleaner. Ok, good sign I thought. Our room was pretty big with 2 queen beds and a vanity with a sink just outside the bathroom, so two sinks total (convenient!). The furniture was like what you'd find in a 90's home. It felt homey instead of hotel-like which I kinda liked. TV, fridge, microwave.. check. But no coffee maker. You can actually request hot water from the front desk and they'll give you a pitcher. Now the surprises, which made this stay so spectacular. The pillows were SO fluffy. The bed was lined with a thicker, textured design sheet compared to your average hotel paper-thin sheet, and the mattress was soft and comfy. I had way better sleep here than I did at the Hilton the night before. The best part? The bathroom has a heater under the sink that you can control the temperature with a dial on the wall, so it was nice and toasty all the time. It was so awesome! I also noticed the baseboards in the room, the bathtub and caulking in the bathroom were spotless. That's how you know a place is clean. They offer a small breakfast in the dining room for a small $, but we opted out so we can try other restaurants across the street. The coffee and tea are always free. I definitely judged Parry Lodge before arriving here, but boy was I wrong! It is a quaint little place with a nostalgic historic feel, and was not creepy at all. I think this was the hotspot back in the day for western films. A lot of hikers stay here and we saw many early in the morning. I'd stay at Parry Lodge again if we make our way out here in the future.

We drove 4 hours from Las Vegas and booked through Super.com. I'm a Choice Hotels member and was hesitant about Choice properties to begin with -- I usually stick to IHG, Hilton or Marriott -- but a great experience at the Comfort Suites Moab a year ago gave me confidence. The 4.5 stars on Yelp sealed the deal. Big mistake. The phone call before arrival -- called to notify them of a late arrival and the front desk lady answered with a flat "Hello," never pulled up my reservation, couldn't add my Choice Rewards number since I booked third party which is fine, but when I was done with my questions she said "bye" and hung up cold. I work in hospitality. That's not okay. Check in -- the overnight guy in a fedora was genuinely great. Friendly, fast, no complaints. Wish the rest of the staff had his energy at check in. The room -- rock hard queen beds, square couch-style pillows with zero support swimming inside oversized pillowcases, and a pull out sofa mattress with serious visible wear. All four of us on the queen beds woke up with back and neck aches and had to make a grocery run for pain meds before we could function. Breakfast -- both mornings were identical. Cold eggs, rubbery sausage patties, broken juice machine on day two. The make your own waffle station was the only thing worth touching. This is what your $5/night resort fee gets you. The afternoon front desk lady -- sat behind the desk on her personal phone both times we walked through without a single acknowledgment. Asked to switch rooms due to the beds -- flat "No," sold out, zero apology. Later came back from a bike ride with a potentially broken arm and asked where the nearest hospital was -- she pointed without looking up and went back to her phone. My friends had to connect to the hotel WiFi just to pull up directions since T-Mobile is spotty in Kanab. Ended up with a broken forearm and wrist. Now in a cast and sling. I don't expect a front desk employee to be a first responder but basic human decency isn't too much to ask. The A/C -- stopped working at 2am. Called the front desk and the overnight guy answered in silence with his phone playing in the background. After I said hello he responded with attitude. Told him the A/C was out in room 105 and he literally asked me "what should I do?" Requested a room switch, he said sold out and hung up. Five guys trying to sleep in a heatwave with no air conditioning. Pool area -- advertised as open year round and heated. Pool was covered. Spa was open but the gate to the entire area had no lock -- anyone could walk right in. Real safety concern for families with kids. At $146.24 for two nights the price seemed reasonable on paper. In reality this was one of the worst hotel experiences I've had. The area is 5 stars -- this property is not. Stay elsewhere.
