Reasonable, fairly quiet and very private. I stayed here 3 years ago on my solo road trip then. This time, we got 2 cabins next to each other for my son and his girlfriend and on for me. The cabins are well appointed with a good supply of decent size towels. The bed was comfortable. With these cabins, you need not worry about noise coming from the room next to you or above / below! We stayed here before heading out to Zion National Park. Kanub is a decent sized town so there was pleanty of food and shopping/places to stock up. Cabin was clean and very comfortable. Took time to do laundry at the office. Friendly and helpful staff. We had some time so visited the Moqui Cave museum and really enjoyed the history and fun artifacts. read more

Affordable and clean. The shower had no shower curtain when we arrived, went to the office, he gave me a new one which we had to put in - but no big deal. The cabin was clean and we couldn't hear anyone since the cabins were not connected to one another. If you have more than one vehicle or a towing something u would have to park in the overflow. Otherwise u can park right in front of your cabin. That was nice for unloading and felt safe. The bathroom area was small but clean tub and no signs of mold-- just the hard water stains on the shower head. The room had microwave and mini fridge. The office building you check in had ice and you can fill your bottles with filtered water. The only thing was that we ran out of hot water for showers when 4 of us showered one after the other. But otherwise Definitely recommend staying here. Also Close to places to eat- but a lot of then are closed on Sundays. (Didn't get a chance to take a pic of the inside but check expedia for photos! Last minute stay at Red Canyon Cabins snd it was great . Only about a 3 1/2 hour ride from from Las Vegas this was a great get away. Each cabin is approximately 250 to 330 sq feet equipped with everything you need. Our cabin had two queen size beds, a dresser, a sofa that opened to a bed , two chairs, tv of course, microwave, small fridge and full nice size bathroom. Our room was immaculate. Each cabin is separate and with this covid 19 it's good do your keeping your social distancing . You can park right in front of your door and if you have a boat ATV or any other large toys they have an area in the middle of the cabins to park them. Our air condition worked amazing. The staff in the front office were fantastic and the cleaning crew were fantastic. They also have two bbq's and tables if you would like to bbq something ! Definitely a place we will be heading back to. read more

Location, location, location. Right in the middle of THREE National Parks, Pink Sand State Park, Lake Powell (Bryce, Zion, Escalante). Location, location, location! Kanab is centrally located near Bryce, Zion, Lake Powell, and Pink Sand State Park and so many other MUST SEE places!! No one staying over or under or attached to your room, these cabins are quaint and spacious! Our room had not on, but THREE queen beds!! The bathroom has a tub/shower combo. The room has chairs, dressers, table, lamps, fridge, microwave, and the porch, YES, there's a porch!!! There are two chairs and a table! Can you say morning coffee watching a sunrise? We just used camp chair for our extra person!! Front desk gentleman was quiet, but smiled, courteous, and I appreciate him! Gave me all the info I needed. Our room was clean, the furnishings reminded me of well made, quality, real hardwood (but maybe older). I like traditional, so it was no problem for me. It's clean and well cared for!! If I want a modern hotel, I'll stay in one, this is a cute cabin!! Park in front of your cabin! Load, unload, have your vehicle right there! WISHES I wish they had horseshoe pit or some type of outdoor games. Maybe access to a pool or spa, or both!! Fire pit for campfire stories & s'mores!! Add more USB charging or outlets. Nitpicking (because you asked): Motel, Check behind bathroom doors and clean, it gets missed:) Add one more pillow per bed. (Again, just suggesting. Beds have three pillows) Leave a few extra towel sets:) Have housekeeping get printed envelops. By the way people, it is COMMON practice to leave tips for Houskeeping. I can't give this place enough stars. Friendly efficient hosts. Cute rooms with fridge, microwave and coffeemaker. Our room was 2 beds. And had a bistro table and chairs outside on our porch. Drive right up to your cabin. Very efficient a/c. TV. (Never used it) Phone in room (didn't need it) 2 usb outlets. Ceiling fans. I think housekeeping is every other day. And they do a really nice job. Beds are really comfortable. Pillow are eh. Bring your own if you're super fussy. I've had way worse pillows at way more expensive places. Very close to a nice coffee place. Gas station and 7-11 too. 1/2 mile to Escobar's Mexican (really good). And a little further to the downtown of Kanab. Price on Father's Day weekend was really good. About an hour to Bryce and 1 hour 15 to Zion. Nice little trails and things to do right here in Kanab. And Kanab your co. right across the road. Ask for Cash. He was an amazing guide. Beautiful view outside, which is one of its main positives. At check in, the office was perfumed so heavily with air freshener that my daughter had to go outside. Lots of people are sensitive to those types of smells and that needs to be taken into account for customer's comfort. When we opened the door to our cabin, all we could smell was bleach. Once again, lots of people can't handle scents like that. Furniture was laid out very oddly in the room. Funky tablecloths under glass on the dresser and full size table but it wasn't very usable because of where it was. Sofa upholstery was stained and dirty. There was no luggage rack! We had to use a chair from outside, the dresser top and the sofa for our suitcases. The bed headboards need to be cleaned better or painted, because we could see areas from previous heads (from grease or product) that was wearing off the finish. Kind of gross. We did appreciate having the sink vanity separate from the toilet/shower, but there could have been room for a much larger vanity if things were laid out better. There was only 1 mirror in this very large room. That made it more difficult to get ready in the morning with 4 people. There was plenty of wall space for at least one more mirror to be hung up. Overall the cleanliness was good but if you looked more closely (like baseboards, trim and corners) it was not clean at all. Also, the deadbolt did not work! All the cabins look like they're tilting, and the doorframe was obviously out of square, so we couldn't use the deadbolt. And the chain lock was positioned vertically and installed with short screws into the wood trim, so if someone really wanted to get in, they could do so easily. Thankfully, the area seems pretty safe. read more

Enjoyed my stay! Very clean cabin and comfortable. Not too far from Zion National Park, about 1hour and 10 minutes depending what time you leave. It's in a safe area and I liked that you can park your car right in front of your cabin! Our no smoking cabin came with: 2 queen beds, tv, two chairs, a bathroom (with shower and toilet inside), two dressers, two ceiling fans, and a sink outside the bathroom and air conditioning. Nice three star hotel. Checkin was a breeze. Counter person was polite and checked us in quickly. Very clean cabin and comfortable. Two beds...only needed one, but that was just fine for me. If I could give this place a negative zero I would. My husband took me here for my birthday weekend . From the outside the cabins are beautiful. Oh, but once we entered our cabin is when reality set in. The toilet had dried up poop stains in it, the sheets had holes in them, the bathroom wall had dried up blood on it. There was dust piled over all the vents, ceiling fans and on all the rails in the restroom. There were numerous spider webs all over, the front door was so dirty. When my husband went to the office to notify management he came in with a dirty towel and toilet scrubber to clean the toilet and said that the holes in the sheets weren't that bad. House keeping knocked on the door the next morning, but we were in the middle of getting dressed. My husband asked her to come back a little later. Well guess what she never came back at all and had the nerve to leave an handwritten envelope that says thanks for your tips. THE ONLY TIP I HAVE FOR THIS PLACE IS DO BETTER!!! YOU GUYS SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES!!! I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO MY WORST ENEMY!!! read more

This place was absolutely wonderful and a great experience. It's right outside or town but totally walking distance to be able to get you right into town. It was super clean, a great price, shower was super clean with great water pressure, the bed was super comfy, and the AC worked super well. I'm really glad I stayed here. Giving this location two stars only because of the convenient location and concept (separate cabins with a hotel room feel). However, the cabin we stayed in was absolutely disgusting. After reading similar reviews in which complaints incited retaliation from management I decided to simply post. Upon entering our cabin we found: 1) Stains on the sheets of one of the beds 2) Three pillows without pillowcases 3) An old food tray with a moldy coffee cup 4) Mold in the refrigerator freezer 5) Various stained surfaces 6) Various pieces of trash laying around 7) Several missing / burnt out light bulbs 8) Dried food all over the interior of the microwave I've included pictures of all the findings. Bottom line - the management CLEARY does not value any amount of cleaning or sanitation. Other reviews support this same conclusion. We loved this place! Great concept, every "motel room" is a tiny standalone log cabin, so no neighbors upstairs (so no creaks or booms from footsteps over your head), no neighbors sharing a wall (so no loud TV or music leaking through the walls), just tranquil quiet and the beauty of the red rocks outside. Cabins appear new with some construction still ongoing on the property, all the appointments were new, but not fancy. No need, it's all fresh and well put together. Beds and pillows were comfortable; twin ceiling fans in addition to the standard wall heater/AC unit made it even more comfortable; bathroom fixtures are all spotless and fresh; and little things like great water pressure made it a pleasure to stay there! We really loved the front porch feature with a couple of outdoor chairs and a table. We enjoyed the cool evening breeze at night, and our coffee the next morning on that porch. Check-in was easy and quick, and the proprietor was a really nice guy. Seemed to be there by himself, he was taking care of everything. However, if this keeps up, he'll need help - they'll be getting more traffic once word of this little gem gets out. 6 stars if I could! read more

This place was disgusting. The floors turned my feet black, the toilet was dirty from the people who stayed before. The towels were used and dirty folded up like the were washed. The tv was broken, no picture. The front door lock was busted The Box spring had blood or something resembling blood all over it. We picked up the phone to call the front desk, that was broken. My husband walked to the front desk to get another room, they said the didn't have another room, and they are having a hard time cleaning the rooms... I do not recommend this place. Gross read more

We stayed here while in Kanab for the Balloons and Tunes Festival. The cabins were clean and cozy. The beds were comfortable and house keeping was very efficient and helpful. The cabins happened to be right next to where the balloons launched in the morning so that was an added bonus. Our room had a king bed and was perfect for 2 people. Friends had a room with 2 queens that would would for small family or they had larger cabins with 2 kings and a pullout sofa sleeper. The rooms had microwaves and hair dryers. There was an area that had picnic tables snd grills as well. The area was clean and quiet. We will definitely stay here the next time we visit the area. read more

My stay at Red Canyon Cabins was the only downside of my week long trip to utah . Firstly, we walked in to a fridge full of old food, which was gross- but forgivable. What made my stay here so bad, was unfortunately the owner and his wife, whom I think are the only people that work there. Not only are they very rude and unaccommodating, they are super unprofessional. I was double charged upon checking in, and within about 20 minutes I went back to the front desk to show them my charges, and see if they could reverse it or get the process going, and he pretty much immediately shut me down and told me to take it up with my bank. He was super aggressive and argumentative immediately, which made me think he did it purposely. I fully intend on getting the charges reversed, but just a fair warning if you stay here- they are out for nickels and dimes. With so many different accommodations in this area, I will definitely never be staying here/ recommending this place to anyone. read more

The male front desk who has an accent of someone from India was rude and arrogant. He made us feel unwelcomed as if we are not a paying guest. He treated us like we owe him his life for letting us stay in this inconvenient place. Look, if you don't want people to use the amenities (like there are amenities) it's just the filthy bbq grills and we felt so uncomfortable because you had stare and tell people they need to turn it off right away. Next time, just get rid of them so no ine will use them. So my advice to anybody who wants to check in at this cabins think again if you want to ruin your vacation. We thought this would be a nice and economical change to regular hotels. There are,a LOT of cabins in this establishment. Ours had a parkng spot in front, two chairs and tiny table on the little covered porch. Our location did not provide a view worth sitting out to view, although other cabins might. The interior had one king bed, a lamp table on one side of the bed, an arm chair on the other, plus another similar arm chair, which had to double as a suitcase rack, as there was not one of those. The sink could have been better arranged, but was adequate. Shower was decent and bath very clean. Good quality towels, better than we expected. read more

First off, this is for the traveler that finds a small cabin more convenient than schlepping ones's luggage into a lobby, elevator, down a hall etc. That said, if you want amenities this isn't for you anyway. Positives. Park next to your cabin. No shared walls with noisy neighbors. Three beds in some units. Dogs with a pet fee. The bathroom and linen were clean the 7 or so times I've stayed. But..the floors in the past two trips have felt dirty left me wanting to wash my feet. And somekind of pet mess in the corner from a previous guest. Makes me wonder what else isn't getting cleaned. Terrible experience. The person who runs the front desk and seems to have an Indian accent is outright rude, unprofessional and passive aggressive. Needless to say unwelcoming. We would give it zero stars if we could. There seemed to be an issue with our reservation, the guy said he could not see it on his end and said "it is not my problem". He asked us to figure it out, behaved as if we were lying or something about the reservations, and said he has nothing to do with it. Even later when the reservation did show up on his system, he was very unapologetic for his behavior from several hours before. Never said a sorry for the inconvenience. We had to find/book a different hotel in the middle of the night. This person does not deserve to run a business in the beautiful place like Kanab. Other people have reported his bad attitude and these reviews must be taken seriously. read more
