My wife and I spent four days here while exploring the three nearby national parks ands other sites including Horseshoe Bend and Page AZ. There are two main features I want from a room: Good location and comfortable bed. Canyons Lodge delivers on both! They also provide good showers, high pressure and hot. They are within walking distance to downtown Kanab. Upon check we received many good recommendations for food and timing for each park based on weather and crowds. Had an unexpected night in Kanab as travel plans changed and the looks of this cool lodge caught my eye as I drove into town. Asked front desk if they had rooms. Was lucky to get one. Front desk employee was very friendly. Had my bike with me so having ground level floor was awesome. Room nicely done and very clean. How refreshing! They also provided AWESOME dinner recommendations and I always love the locals insight and they were right on. This past weekend was my first time staying at Canyons Lodge but my third time staying at one of Travis's properties. I've stayed twice before at Canyons Boutique across the way and thoroughly enjoyed myself. This experience was no different. Travis always makes us feel right at home. With bikes you can borrow to ride around town (we didn't this time thought we have before), a delicious breakfast in the morning, and walking distance to local eateries (we ate at Wild Thyme and Adria's -- both great experiences), the stay itself just felt familiar and provided for, luxury but at home. SO clean. Seriously the cleanest place we've ever stayed. This property is clearly loved and well maintained. Ron at the front desk was super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. WiFi was strong and worked well. I love the individual room entrances, and we appreciated the small touches like the welcome card on our bed, a porch chair near each door, availability of bicycles, etc. We could not have been more pleased. Personally, this was my first time staying here, but several months ago my husband stayed here with two of his friends; he said it was a great experience at that time as well. The owner Travis greeted us at the front desk and asked if we had plans for dinner. He had menus from several restaurants and was great about taking the time to help us. He personally walked us to our room as well. The hospitality was really great and made this a really great experience for me and my 11 year old daughter. Canyons Lodge is a funky, cozy spot right in Kanab that is a must do if you are looking for a good place to stay. We were only in town one night, but we were very glad to have a clean, comfortable night at the lodge. Aside from the nice room amenities, I look forward to coming back in town during the summer (and with more time) to enjoy their fire pit, their great little pool, and to indulge in their breakfast. Travis - the manager of the lodge - is incredibly welcoming and kind. Nothing feels better than having a friendly face greeting you to a new small town. We arrived in Kanab around 6:00 pm and didn't like the hotel we initially made reservations for. So we decided to try the Canyons Collection Property. The receptionist welcomed us and we got a room at the lodges. Very simple, clean, comfortable and convenient. After that we enjoyed a nice dinner at the Sego restaurant the property has to offer. We will be back , and next time make reservations at the collections property. read more

Stayed here about 2 months ago. Thought the room was excellent, the cabin style looked even better than the photos online when it was dramatically lit for our evening arrival. Spotless! This is one of the best pet friendly places I have stayed at. We stayed in the "rustic" lodge rather than.l the hotel and it was wonderful. Securing lodging when travelling with two dogs too often means taking what you can get. And what you usually get is the simplest and not always cleanest room in a characterless hotel/motel. But then there is Canyons Lodge with its nicely appointed rooms which are clean, including the two that they reserve for familites with dogs. The small log motel is charming with a friendly (and genuinely dog-friendly) staff. It has a small but nice pool and a lovely fire pit, perfect for those balmy dry summer evenings. And best of all in just across the street. Sego is a remarkably good restaurant you would not expect to find out in the Utah backwater. Our dogs loved it; we loved it. read more

Checked in late night. Flarima was kind enough to leave keys for us in a safe place. Upon entering room 12, I was greeting by the sweet smell of animal urine. Smelled like a cat decided to mark its territory, from possibly a guest they was rude in the past. I couldn't call the front desk to change rooms, as we arrived at 3.30am. My boyfriend called the front desk, when we woke up to let them know we passed out to the vile smell. I believe the guys name was Gordon that he spoke to. Gordon wasn't apologetic, in fact he was rude cause we asked for a late checkout and was going to charge us extra. That is not quality customer service. read more

This is the same review that I posted under the old name, Bon-Bon, now "Canyons Lodge." I recently spent one night here in room #4 which is in the one-story extension from the office. This room is "cozy" sized and space at the foot of the bed is tight, same with the shower. But they manage to fit in a mini-fridge and microwave. Great amenities and service at this price level, clean & comfortable bedding. Loved having the bathrobe! The welcome includes an offer of water bottle or wine, a friendly host, and generous supply of in-room coffee. I enjoyed the free breakfast items offered in lobby, boiled eggs, fruit, nice bakery items OJ, coffee, real milk. Wifi in room but it kept dropping off. It's a little hard to find at the north end of town next to the Victorian Inn. The price for the small rooms is very reasonable. One thing I really liked was that you prepay on line when you reserve, and there is no paperwork to deal with on check out. ( Kind of like Motel 6.) There was a discount available using a link on the Tripadvisor site. read more

Finding a cute boutique hotel is great especially when it is unexpected. The room was nice and includes a small fridge and microwave. A small pool is great for unwinding and enjoying the warmth. I booked a stay in Kanab as it was a central location to all the activities related to the Grand Canyon and Glen Canyon I had planned for my girlfriends birthday. Most of the original activities in the Grand Canyon National Park were closed to due to COVID. Travis at the front desk helped me to find comparable, if not better, experiences in the nearby area. The customer service was very personable and the accommodations were fantastic. The bed in our room was hand carved by a local artist, the room reflected the local scenery, and the room/ facilities were very clean and comfortable. Travis and Canyons Lodge did not just save our trip but made it that much better. Working in the hospitality industry myself I cannot oversell how important it is to create a personal connection with your guests and Travis at Canyons Lodge excels at making you feel like you matter and that he'll remember you were there. He genuinely cares that you love his properties as much as he does. If you're ever looking for lodging or accommodation near the North Rim of the Grand Canyon or Glen Canyon you couldn't do better. Clean and cozy! As soon as we arrived all the personnel were extremely warm and welcoming. Me and my boyfriend were passing by Kanab attempting to win the lottery for The Wave. In a stroke stoke luck we won 2 spots. We had only reserved the hotel for 2 nights and needed to extend our stay another night during a holiday weekend when all hotel were sold-out! Travis and Donald came to the rescue. Not only did they manage to accommodate us, when we arrived back to the hotel we found chocolate and a very sweet postcard wishing us an enjoyable hike. My bf and I were welcomed by the warm and likeable Travis when we arrived. We were offered glasses of red wine (yum!) and Travis offered to make dinner reservations for us and gave us some great suggestions. He's very customer service oriented in a big city sort of way, not in the small town "oh it's over there on the corner" sort of way. Our room #1 had the signature red buttes bed and it was quite cute with a king sized bed, fridge, micro, two well-worn robes in the bathroom, nice blanket hanging on the wall, cute decor. But it's easy to tell that this was an old motel with the A/C in the wall behind the bathroom door and the bathroom door tended to shut which left the bathroom very cold for some reason. For Kanab I rate this a 5, relative to other hotels I'd give it a 3. So I averaged and rated it 4. read more

Very nice place to stay with quaint accommodations. The staff was very friendly and helpful and they had had amenities that you just don't find anywhere else, such as free bike rentals to use riding around town. The Wi-Fi was a bit slow but rarely is there a place with great internet. Breakfast was great with a full breakfast available next door. My only complaint is that the building is located off of the main highway and traffic noise was high, waking me up a few times in the night. Aside from this we had a wonderful stay. read more

Pretty sure a bed bug was on me! I took a picture and looked it up assuming that's what it was and I really think it was. What a nightmare. I'm going to have to make sure none are in my bags, I don't want to take these disgusting things home, I've heard they spread like wildfire. The walls are thin here, I could hear the neighbors talking. Don't stay in the small end rooms they are tiny!! I've also Stayed at the sister hotel (quail park lodge) also and I'm sorry to say I couldn't give it a good review either. I have stayed at the canyons boutique which I enjoyed more than the canyons lodge and quail park lodge. Anyway just seem like cheaply done up hotels. The fundamentals are poor like thin walls. The manager Travis didn't seem too pleased to hear about the bed bug, he acted angry at me for even talking about it. Won't book here again. read more

We loved our trip to Kanab and really enjoyed staying at the canyons lodge. The owner was so awesome and friendly. He really made us feel welcome. Clean rooms, decorated so cute and quirky, really comfy beds, and good in room coffee. They had a good sized refrigerator and even a microwave in the room. We loved the free breakfast across the way. Delicious French toast casserole!! We will be back next year when we go back to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. read more

We visited Zion and were planning a visit to the Slot Canyon the next day so stayed the night at Canyons Lodge. The stay was very pleasant and our friends traveling with us were especially delighted. Our visit was on a Monday night. We are from Henderson/Las Vegas, who would have thought every restaurant in Kanab would be closed. The fellow at the front desk who checked us in (saved our butts) perhaps used his influence and made us reservations at the Rocking V Cafe (perhaps nicest place in town.) We say used his influence because we had to rush down and then they told everyone who walked in the door after us there is a two hour wait. The next morning we were treated to a fresh buffet breakfast across the street at the Canyons Hotel. And when i say breakfast, i mean breakfast, not sweet rolls and coffee. The room we had was a bit small for my tastes but it was clean, quaint and just an overnight so no problem. The bed was comfortable, the tv worked and they had robes if you so desired. An especially nice touch was a "Welcome/Thank You card on the bed which was personally addressed to us...nice touch. Even though it was cold in the morning, my wife enjoyed the outside seating areas while sipping a cup of coffee. I would most certainly stay at Canyons Lodge again should the opportunity present itself. read more

This review is for the Restaurant at the Lodge. I have a few suggestions for this place... Theater / step style levels. Instead of two levels the prime seats are by the windows which allow these lucky few to see the pristine area in a panoramic style restaurant, to maximize space they should have leveled style seating each level high enough as to allow everyone the same view. The food is actually just meh, I have had better food at local bars. You are going to pay for the meal, 4 star restaurant prices at 2 star flavor. The saloon is fun for drinks and hanging out but is quite small. The gift shop has nick nacks all over, for the compulsive shopper. I would recommend stopping by if you have the change and if you are camping here then I'm sure you can whip up a can of chili and a hot dog and it would taste better... save your money read more
