Unassuming yet quaint outside teal facade

We all know that rush when you open a fresh box of pizza and just the look of it sparks pure childish excitement, cheese oozing off the sides, steam rising from each glorious piece of pepperoni. Pizza at its best is art; simple, beautiful, delicious art. Ranch aficionado? no worries dip your 'Za into some caper aioli which is sure to tickle those tastebuds. The real crime here is how little recognition this gem seems to have, do yourself a favor and head on over to RedCan Gourmet, you won't regret it.

Its only open 10-4 Weds to Saturday right now. Thursday you can pre order stuff and they stay open later. They roast and carve their own meats, bake their own (excellent) bread, and use high quality stuff. Sandwiches are 11$ but very worth it. Could serve 2 non glutons. Take one of these to the park, it will keep you going. Very good to excellent.

Yum!! Anchovies, Peppers, Caramelised onions and Bruchetto (spelt wrong lol)

Try the dirty Mac and cheese. I always get some extra orders to go and freeze it so I can have it later

Only one thing- This place absolutely needs more review!…read more They have some of the mean bowls and we ended up trying two of them. Salmon and Kale, Pachamama bowl. 5/5. The squash, beetroot and kale were steaming hot from Pachamama. Thanks for adding shaved Brussels sprouts. That's my new favorite now. Salmon was cooked to perfection. Chips and Salsa didn't feel freshly made but still were surprisingly perfect that our kid gobbled it all. Just right seasoning ( which have been hit and miss in all other places for last couple of days) We also had vanilla and affogato. Parking- no dedicated parking lot. Street parking or public parking is the only option. Place is open till late and had definitely had lot of late nighters drinking. We ordered one drink - hibiscus margarita. It was well made. The service was quick and we saw dishes going out one after another too. The playlist this evening was the best part of our dinner! We were vibing at the songs loved by us 80s/90s kids. Thanks for playing all those songs I haven't listened in two decades. Only missing was a little space to shake our legs and dance away. Hope I get to return to try out more. If you are looking for restaurants in Tofino, please do stop by! I recommend it as a must try while you are here. P.S. I took the zoomed in photo of the bowls to give it a try in my own kitchen

So that was great for the 5 of us with different dietary restrictions. Service was friendly, food was good without breaking the bank. I had the ahi tuna poke bowl and it was exactly what I needed. The ahi tuna tasted very fresh. The patio looks lovely with fireplace as well but unfortunately dogs are not allowed!

It definitely gets busy but it is one of the best restaurants in Tofino. I enjoyed all of their drinks, including the mocktails, and all their food, especially theirs salads, oysters, and steak. Everything was delicious. Jay was a great server and the bar hostesses were helpful and kind. A very pleasant experience overall.

While we didn't get a dining room table, the bar seating turned out to be a great experience. The bartender was friendly, welcoming, and very knowledgeable. We enjoyed trying a few beer tastings and ordered some local Tofino beers. It was a fun way to discover some local beers. The highlight was the SHELTER Beef Burger and fries. The burger had the perfect flavour, and the fries were a great match. It was a satisfying meal after exploring Tofino. Tofino is a popular tourist destination, reservations are highly recommended if you want a specific dinner time and a comfortable dining room seat. Walk-ins are still accepted, but you may need to wait for a table or dine later in the evening, sometimes after 8pm. Overall, Shelter is a highly recommended stop in Tofino. Great drinks, delicious food, and excellent service. We just wish we could have enjoyed the same great meal in a more comfortable dinner seat! Food: 4/5 Should Try! Service: 5/5 Kids: 4/5 Yay! A decent walk from downtown Tofino but worth it! The Tofino Brewing taproom has more than a dozen…read morebeers on tap with both classic and adventurous beer. I got a flight of the glowing embers ale, kelp stout, dark lager, and spruce tree ale. Dark beers are usually my favourite, but my favourite out of this batch might have actually been the glowing embers, which was described as a candied smoked ale. The caramelly/smoky combination was great. The kelp stout was interesting - I found it had a slightly vegetal finish but wasn't overtly kelpy. If you like stouts, you'll probably like this. All the beers were very enjoyable. The spruce tree ale and kelp stout are probably the two to try if you want something uniquely local. The Japanese street food truck outside was also fantastic! You can grab food from them and bring it inside the brewery. They also have bar snacks (pretzels, chips) inside. The building is cool. There are front and back patios, a spacious main floor, and a hidden, cozier second floor. The bartender that served me was very friendly. I noticed that the staff was very diligent about clearing tables inside but not so much outside, I saw a table on the patio that had abandoned empty glasses sitting on it when I went out to pick up my food truck order and still there when I left.
