    Logger Dog

Stopped into Ukee Dog based on a recommendation from a stranger, and it paid off. There is a solid selection of hot dogs and tacos and burritos. They also have home made sodas , I had the raspberry ginger ale (light hint of raspberry over the fresh ginger, very nice not sweet) I had the Spicy Mexican - which is a chorizo sausage, my friends has the Logger and the Canuck. The hot dogs are huge and the sides are pretty generous. Sides are extra and you may want to consider sharing. The side of mac n cheese could have been a meal on it's own. I think most of the dogs could be substitutes for a veggie dog.. small amout of indoor dinning and a partially covered patio, if there is mo seating order take out, there are more picnic tables across the road

Ukee Dog, chili onions cheese - really good!

Stopped by here July 3rd. Group of 5 adults. Tried the Canuck, Ukee, and Korean dogs and Salt Spring Wild Ciders. The atmosphere was really good, outdoor seating with shade coverings. They were short staffed but the cashier/waitress literally ran back and forth from the tables to taking orders. We came during a bit of a rush, the food was delivered to our table at exactly the 20 minute mark as the server said. The dogs got good reviews from each of our party. The buns were fresh and toasted ingredients were very generous. This is a real local gem, there is live music on occasion - rap was on tap later the day we were there Recommend this on you next stop in Ucluelet

Five stars for food much less for ambience, would never have ventured in without a recommendation from the two sisters coffee shop, also nice. Had albacore tuna sliders with butternut squash soup and a glass of good bitter Bear (yup I am English). Whoever put bacon with Abscore deserves a medal. The soup was freshly made, quite unexpected foodie delight, ignore the outside and venture inside, had a surfer dude vibe

    Logger Dog

My buddy and I rode out to Ucluelet to search for a great hotdog. Unfortunately we didn't find any here. I ordered the Logger dog and a soft drink which came to over $14. For that I got a cheap boiled wiener on a toasted (or stale?) bun, some mild cheese, a few hot pickles and a homemade soft drink. I thought the soda was good, but my friend didn't drink his after one taste. The room was also dirty with some sort of sticky coating on the counter where we dined. The guy that took our orders was less than friendly, but the young fellow who brought our food was congenial enough. Overall the meal was not acceptable for the price, so we will go elsewhere when we return to the area. .

    Breakfast until 11

Stopped in for breakfast and coffee while touring Ukee. The drip coffee was self serve. Not sure what they were serving, but it was a nice roast. I had the scrambled eggs and my husband had the breakfast sliders. It was essentially the epitome of the beige basic breakfast. Nothing special and certainly not healthy. That being said it did hit the spot. Just a heads up if you are a toast lover- you'll get a toasted hot dog bun verses proper bread as your side. All in all I wouldn't return here for a sit down breakfast. I would however return for a spot of coffee. Nice location, friendly service. Very casual and relaxed Ucluelet vibe.

This quirky little place is a great choice for an inexpensive meal. We stopped for lunch . My daughter had a mac&cheese dog - I was impressed by the flavor of the mac&cheese - it definitely wasn't neon orange Kraft. The weiner was a 1/4lb and was served on East coast style lobster roll buns which were fresh. I had a beef curry pot pie, light on the curry. The crust was flaky and delicious. I was able to get a mini salad with it. We also had a good cinnamon roll and a creative diablo cookie - chocolate cookie with chocolate chips, cinnamon and hot pepper. Yummy!

The fourth star really comes from their sticky buns!! Wow!! Those things are fantastic!!! I tried a couple of the dogs too and they were good. Both the chili and mac & cheese started my lunch out right, but I feel like it was something I could have created better at home. Still worth a try, but they definitely have some hidden gems in there!!

A unique and funky gem in the middle of Ucluelet. Not to be missed as a dining destination.

Delicious tuna sliders with Mac and cheese side. Not much space but food is worth it.

Cozy little cafe with friendly staff, though he forgot to make my coffee. He did apologize for it. The various chooses of hot dog are tasty.

Great comfort food place. Friendly owners, plus she makes her own cookies, meat pies, Cinnamon Buns. Would definitely go back.

Rather have a polish at Costco. Better quality and taste. Cheaper too. This is tourist fare.

Most of the arcade games were off - broken or unplugged, not sure which. Fun atmosphere otherwise with a large blackboard for the kids to draw on. I had the deer burger with fries, upgraded to poutine. The fries are crispy outside and soft inside, and that gravy was delicious! The burger itself was juicy, soft bun, but the sprouts for the crunch and the chipotle mayo for the extra flavor made this one a winner! For dessert, I had the ginger molasses bread with ice cream. Moist, flavorful, and the French vanilla ice cream was out of this world.

The restaurant was actually larger than I expected. They had loads of bench-style tables and seats. There was a run-down arcade in there as well with some claw machines that looked like the candy prizes had been in there since the 90's... We looked around for the bowling alley that was supposedly there but found out that it was taken out. Service was friendly and relatively attentive. I had my first poutine of the trip. It ended up being saltier than I had hoped. I ordered the Korean Beef Noodle Bowl. Not that I needed more food, but for the price it was, I expected that there would be more food. The flavor was okay. Nothing to write home about. As I got to the bottom of the bowl, I found a pool of oil just sitting there, being absorbed by the few pieces of my leftover sad noodles. It was a LOT of oil... I wanted the bowl because it had a lot of veggies alongside the beef, so I at least got that. It's nice that it's open late for visitors to dine in and has a wide variety of foods, but none of our party's food stood out and wow'ed us, so... it was fine. Again, they were lovely, friendly people, so if you're looking for someplace welcoming to get fed in Ucluelet, I recommend coming here.
