Showed up after trying three other restaurants in town that unfortunately were understaffed or awaiting delivery for food items so out of stock. Thought "hey we finally found a place to eat" sat down. Waitress delivers menus, comes around to ask what we would like to drink. Very prompt. My wife & I order. She requests two pieces of ID as per provincial law. No problem. I provide two government issued photo ID's. One issued by a provincial law enforcement agency I work for. Not good enough. My wife runs back to the car to get her cards. Also not good enough. Spent a few minutes rifling through our wallets and pulling out every single government issued card we could find. It felt like purchasing a firearm, not ordering a drink. I understand the caution, but in the future please use discretion. If someone is showing you multiple cards that are clearly gov issued. Chances are, your business is safe and you can serve those people. We got up and left defeated. read more

Everyone should try this Restaurant... The flavors are incredibly well balanced. I had the wild salmon pesto alfredo with mushrooms and onions and I couldn't slow down as every bite was perfect! From what we found, service was very slow and not friendly. It took 20 minutes for someone to come and see us even if we were inside, at the door, and they knew we were there (looking at us passing by). We finally sit and then long story short, we waited again just for menus, and again no refill of water before the food arrived, and that was 35-40minutes for a burger and a probably premade clam soup. No refill of water during lunch and after lunch. I feel that's pretty easy to see two guys sitting at a table in front of the bar and just giving them water... Unless you want some OK food and a long wait time for everything, I don't recommend this place. I am sure there is some nice restaurants in Ucluelet! And if you don't want to waste your vacation time, go elsewhere. read more

We had a long waiting time for the food, which is ok if everything is done fresh, but was it done freshly?The food was below average and for the price you could have expected something better. My seafood noodles had an average sauce and little amount of seafood. The pizza doe did not deserve to be called pizza doe, it was too sweet and had no crust. However, late on an early fall evening desperate to find some food, we came across this place which was the only one that did not close early. The lineups outside were crazy and the wait would be up to an hour, so we decided to get takeout. We ordered Spaghetti and meatballs, which came to $16.80. The wait for takeout wasn't bad at all, at only ~15 minutes. Contrary to expectations, the portions were large, and the food was delicious, homey, and exactly what we needed. read more

Servers were super-nice on both visits and we didn't have to wait too long for our food either. I had the Fallers pizza for dinner: chorizo sausage, ham, and bacon. For breakfast I had the Fallers Scrambler (yup, you guessed it): regular sausage, ham, and bacon. The dinner menu is quite varied with pastas, pizza, steak. The breakfast menu is limited to 4-5 different scramblers, or else you can order from the regular menu. Quality is good and the portions are healthy. read more

When we arrived we were told it would be a 15 minute wait for a table and they took our name. We went back to our hotel for 10 minutes and when we came back our table was given away. The waitresses noticed this and decided to ignore us instead of apologizing and setting up another table. We stood at the front for more then 10 minutes with out a single person acknowledging us. We decided if they can't even talk to us then we were leaving. As we were walking out a waitress came running after us now deciding to tell us there will be a table ready in 10 minutes for us. I can only comment on the fraud being done to the tourists. I ordered halibut and chips. The fish was not halibut. I owned two fish and chips restaurants that specialized in halibut fish and chips. I have spent tens of hours slicing halibut into portions . The lowest priced meal was the halibut and chips. The cedar grill has good fish and chips but its not halibut. Very few people would know the difference. At Costco it is $5.40 per 100 grams for fresh halibut. The portions at Cedar grill were 250 to 300 grams for a two piece. At 16.95 for a two piece halibut and chips they would be losing 5 to 6 dollars per plate. To make money your food costs need to be around 30% of the cost of a meal. Oh and another thing I have been a commercial halibut fisherman for the last 36 years. read more

me and my boyfriend went to the grill for a late lunch yesterday. we were very disappointed. not only did our food take over 30 minutes to come out and we both just ordered sandwiches but they got the sides completely wrong. our server only greeted us and offered us water. when she came back the second time didnt even suggest beverages just asked if we were ready to order food. threw the over half hour wait for food she didnt offer us anything else or come by to check on us at all. when our food did arrive and i pointed out my side was wrong and my boyfriend did not order salad. our server didnt make any aims to fix this. i asked just for the soup i ordered. i finished my main sandwich and when she brought it out it was the smallest size! we also got charged for the salad but not the soup and still paid full price for everything else. as we are both hospitality employees we understand between 2 and 4 there isnt very many staff on usually so a delay was expected but the over all service and minimal apologies for mix ups and time delays were not acceptable. read more
