The service was AMAZING. Kristy was our server. The food was so delicious we got some takeout for our hotel room. Everything was really really great!

Good food. A little spicy. We got wild seafood pasta, pizza, calamari... a little spicy but I'm not complaining, I like a kick for awhile. But people do not like spicy ‍ Overall, food is good

Cedar burger - sooo good and fresh!

We went as a family to the Cedar Grill and it had something for everyone! Would highly recommend the soup, wings, salads, pizza and burgers. Service was outstanding too. We will come back on our next visit!

An unpretentious diner with pleasant service following Covid protocols. The ribs were delicious and I'm glad I ordered the sauce on side. Friends had the seafood chowder and burgers which the reported were delicious and filling.

Y'all r crazy to rate this place anything less....order to go and u won't be disappointed in the slightest....well at least not with the pizza. Lemme set the scene: U've arrived at camp..despite the insufferable interminable rain, u've set up camp. But despite paying over 25$ for wood n kindling....it's STILL FOOKIN RAINING! It's 8:30 pm and it's not stopping anytime soon. No worries. Drive 20 minutes south from Green Point Campground and u'll find the BEST PIZZA U'VE EVER HAD ANYWHERE!!!!! No lie. We're from Mtl... We KNOW what good pizza tastes like...this pizza kicked the a$$ of any pizza anywhere i swear to gawd and everything else!!!! Fries were pretty damn frickin tasty too and super great price for a medium pizz and a large fry (more than enough fo 3 ppl) 21$ tax incl. Whaaaaaaat?!?!?! Awesome! Plus the two waitresses were so sweet n friendly!! Love u Cedar Grill u saved the crappy rainy day!! But order to go cuz it'll piss u off to wait for a table: they b alwayz bussssssyyyyyyyyy!!! For good reason.

Everyone should try this Restaurant... The flavors are incredibly well balanced. I had the wild salmon pesto alfredo with mushrooms and onions and I couldn't slow down as every bite was perfect! My son had the burger and fries. Homemade burger was not greasy and perfectly well done for a thick piece of Angus beef. I can't wait to try the pizza!! Well done!!!

Steak Fettuccine with blue cheese sauce

Great pasta dishes along with friendly service. Highly recommend eating here. I had the special which was fettuccine with steak and a blue cheese Alfredo sauce and my wife had spaghetti with a side of prawns. Comfort food!

The pizza is sloppy and gross. The fries are burnt and it taste horrible. There's water coming out of the pizza

The entire place felt elevated but cozy - our table was upstairs under beautiful wooden beams and big windows overlooking the town. The vibe was lively but not too loud on a Tuesday evening. Service started out wonderfully and we regularly received fresh table settings between courses, however we had a switch in waitstaff later in the meal and it was incredibly slow at the end. No big deal since we weren't in a rush but something to note that it could be hit or miss. The food, on the other hand, was 100% on point. We ordered the potato crusted oyster appetizer and I was blown away - innovative and delicious. For my main, I got the halibut in a curry sauce that was just perfection. My friends tried the sea board, seaweed salad, and scallop gratin, and loved all of it. This meal was a highlight of our vacation.

They have the "Please wait to be seated" sign, but they let me choose where I wanted to sit, and when I realized that the table I chose outside was putting me right in the hot sun, they were cool with me moving inside. I had "Lyndsay's plant pizza" (the cheeseless vegan pizza) and a tiramisu. The veggie pizza was loaded with toppings and the vegetables they chose worked harmoniously together, except the kale tasted a little raw. I didn't miss the cheese. I cannot overstate how good the crust was! There were a few spots with a bit too much char, but even with that, the texture of this crust was heavenly. The tiramisu was also fantastic. It was served as two jumbo ladyfingers doused in cream. Again, textures here were great - the ladyfingers were soft but not soggy, and the cream was velvety smooth. The bitter coffee in the ladyfingers perfectly complemented and balanced out the sweet cream topping. I was a little surprised by the high prices. I ended up spending about $50 for a meal for one after tip! Kind of a small place, but the laid back atmosphere felt homely. It would be nice if they had real glasses for water and a plate for the tiramisu instead of paper. Not quite a 5 star, but a very enthusiastic 4 stars from me. I could rave about that pizza crust.

Pros: - cute decor with huge windows to take in the ocean-mountain view - friendly staff - parking lot right next to the restaurant with a couple spots for patrons with 2hr max - super thin crust and pie came out piping hot - pizza toppings are very fresh with plenty of it Notes: - We were there for approx. an hour (approx. wait for the pizza was about 20-25 minutes) and the server came over with the bill. We still had half a beer to enjoy. The server was chatty and friendly, but I really would have rather not received the bill unprompted. Mind you, there were a few tables opens directly next to us. - The garlic dipping sauce was $4/unit and it was slightly congealed on the top. It comes in really small takeaway container. For the cost, it doesn't feel like the best quality and portion size, especially for a dine-in experience. - The Romano came with plenty of capers and olives, which made it on the saltier side and not as balanced with the flavor profile - the cost for the pizzas was also pretty expensive compared to what we were used to in Vancouver, about 30% more

The floors look to be original hardwood, and there are lots of beams and logs to see. I personally love the old style look, but it might not be to everyone taste. The service is quite good, our server especially, although it did seem like one individual was more interested in polishing glasses and not running food or bussing tables. He was a little passive aggressive with another staff member when he did run a couple of plates, came back and said "see that wasn't that hard." Not a good look. The food was quite good, although we felt, this time like the last, it was a little on the expensive side. It is quite a tourist mecca just outside of Parksville so that's likely part of the reason. It's also quite busy so clearly people are willing to pony up. We had the soup of the days Chantrelle mushroom soup. Evidently those mushroom are very plentiful in the area this time of year. It was quite good, creamy for sure, but we would have liked some more noticeable bits of mushroom. We also shared a Caprese salad which needed more balsamic and a little salt. The capers were a nice add. We finished with Margherita pizza which was nicely cooked and finished with fresh basil. Can't believe I am saying this, but there was too much cheese on it and maybe a little shy on the tomato sauce. Peroni beer on tap is a total winner for me. Have been twice, might go again, but likely not.
