They have the "Please wait to be seated" sign, but they let me choose where I wanted to sit, and when I realized that the table I chose outside was putting me right in the hot sun, they were cool with me moving inside. I had "Lyndsay's plant pizza" (the cheeseless vegan pizza) and a tiramisu. The veggie pizza was loaded with toppings and the vegetables they chose worked harmoniously together, except the kale tasted a little raw. I didn't miss the cheese. I cannot overstate how good the crust was! There were a few spots with a bit too much char, but even with that, the texture of this crust was heavenly. The tiramisu was also fantastic. It was served as two jumbo ladyfingers doused in cream. Again, textures here were great - the ladyfingers were soft but not soggy, and the cream was velvety smooth. The bitter coffee in the ladyfingers perfectly complemented and balanced out the sweet cream topping. I was a little surprised by the high prices. I ended up spending about $50 for a meal for one after tip! Kind of a small place, but the laid back atmosphere felt homely. It would be nice if they had real glasses for water and a plate for the tiramisu instead of paper. Not quite a 5 star, but a very enthusiastic 4 stars from me. I could rave about that pizza crust.

Pros: - cute decor with huge windows to take in the ocean-mountain view - friendly staff - parking lot right next to the restaurant with a couple spots for patrons with 2hr max - super thin crust and pie came out piping hot - pizza toppings are very fresh with plenty of it Notes: - We were there for approx. an hour (approx. wait for the pizza was about 20-25 minutes) and the server came over with the bill. We still had half a beer to enjoy. The server was chatty and friendly, but I really would have rather not received the bill unprompted. Mind you, there were a few tables opens directly next to us. - The garlic dipping sauce was $4/unit and it was slightly congealed on the top. It comes in really small takeaway container. For the cost, it doesn't feel like the best quality and portion size, especially for a dine-in experience. - The Romano came with plenty of capers and olives, which made it on the saltier side and not as balanced with the flavor profile - the cost for the pizzas was also pretty expensive compared to what we were used to in Vancouver, about 30% more

It feels like a local hidden gem. I love It! They are surrounded by beautiful ocean views which, adds to the experience. They offer a few different local beverages along with the classics. They also sell bags of local coffee from a few places. I really love this nice touch! Everyone was very helpful, kind, and efficient. They even told us that we had to purchase some Focaccia to take with us. I'm so thankful that they did! If you don't leave with one, you're crazy. It was huge! It tasted like a mix between focaccia and sourdough bread. I've never tasted anything like it before. It was incredible! We also bought two breakfast sandwiches. The Pancetta & Egger and the Diavola. Which, we're made to order in order to give you the best quality food possible. The sandwichs were divine! I can't wait to come back one day. We unfortunately, didn't get to try any lunch items. But, we will be back! If you're looking for incredible food and local flare. This is your place! Pancetta & Egger The pancetta was salty, savory, and crispy! It was so thinly sliced that it melted in your mouth and coated your tastebuds. It had that crunch that made it addictive and memorable! The eggs were fluffy, flavorful, and fresh. You could tell that they were farm fresh! The arugula was crisp, fresh, and peppery. It added that little bite and heat. I loved it! The pesto was sweet, salty, fatty, and flavor forward. It tied everything together to create an indulgent sandwich! The Fresh focaccia was my favorite part! It was airy, chewy, dense, light, salty, and tart all at the same time. It was truly magical! This sandwich was a true work of art! Diavola The spicy salami was chewy, crispy, hot, and spicy. The eggs were fluffy, flavorful, and fresh. They had an outstanding farm fresh taste. The arugula was crisp and refreshing. It had a nice bitter heat with a peppery bite. The pepper spread was sweet, silky, and smoky. It added that layer of flavor that made it unique. The Fresh in house made focaccia bread tied everything together to create an unforgettable sandwich. Fresh Focaccia Bread If you don't leave with one of these scrumptious pieces of art. Then, you're crazy! This focaccia is made right on the ocean which makes the finished product extra tart and developed in flavor. It's unlike anything that you'll ever taste since, every place has natural good bacteria and wild yeast that creates individual flavor profiles that you won't find anywhere else in the world! The famous focaccia was chewy, dense, light, and tart. It was lightly coated with olive oil with flakes of finishing salt which made me hooked on the taste! I'm counting down the days until I can taste this heavenly bread again!

I got a flight of the glowing embers ale, kelp stout, dark lager, and spruce tree ale. Dark beers are usually my favourite, but my favourite out of this batch might have actually been the glowing embers, which was described as a candied smoked ale. The caramelly/smoky combination was great. The kelp stout was interesting - I found it had a slightly vegetal finish but wasn't overtly kelpy. If you like stouts, you'll probably like this. All the beers were very enjoyable. The spruce tree ale and kelp stout are probably the two to try if you want something uniquely local. The Japanese street food truck outside was also fantastic! You can grab food from them and bring it inside the brewery. They also have bar snacks (pretzels, chips) inside. The building is cool. There are front and back patios, a spacious main floor, and a hidden, cozier second floor. The bartender that served me was very friendly. I noticed that the staff was very diligent about clearing tables inside but not so much outside, I saw a table on the patio that had abandoned empty glasses sitting on it when I went out to pick up my food truck order and still there when I left.

Bar service was very happy to recommend a few things for our tastes and we got to try some great beers. Aside from the experience I love the commitment this brewery has to sustainment with water care initiatives, partnering with farms to use their spent grain and leveraging hydro power.

The barista that took my order was friendly enough. I tried a sugar-free raspberry peach muffin and a chai latte. I really liked the muffin - it was dense but soft and very moist. Lots of juicy fruit. I will say that if "sugar-free muffin" is something that sounds appealing to you, you will probably like this, but if not, it's probably not for you because the texture was quite different from a regular muffin. But I liked the wholesome flavour. The chai latte was just the standard, but made well, with a very generous dusting of cinnamon. I got there shortly after they opened and just had to wait in a short line with my drink ready fairly quickly, but they were much busier by the time I was leaving. I think they take card payments now. I paid with cash, but I didn't see any cash only signs and I saw what I think was a card machine at the register.

We dropped in on a Thursday afternoon (around 1:15pm) and were greeted to a line out the door. Be prepared to wait; service is incredibly slow and inefficient. We were in line for half an hour and waited another 10 minutes for them to make our order. The menu is split into breakfast (only available to 1:00pm), grilled sandwiches (only available to 3:00pm) and hot drinks. They also have a small selection of pastries (bread, muffins, baklava (randomly) and tarts/cakes/bars). - Ham sandwich ($7.95) - at least the bread was toasted and the cheese melted. Other than that, decent but you could easily make something similar at home. I was still hungry afterwards. - Vegan hummus sandwich ($8.25) - the hummus was light and caramelized onions subtle. Same bread used in all their sandwiches. Not sure why the vegetarian option is pricier than the meat one. Cash only. Don't bother with CL.
