The caramelly/smoky combination was great. The kelp stout was interesting - I found it had a slightly vegetal finish but wasn't overtly kelpy. If you like stouts, you'll probably like this. All the beers were very enjoyable. The spruce tree ale and kelp stout are probably the two to try if you want something uniquely local. The Japanese street food truck outside was also fantastic! You can grab food from them and bring it inside the brewery. They also have bar snacks (pretzels, chips) inside. The building is cool. There are front and back patios, a spacious main floor, and a hidden, cozier second floor. The bartender that served me was very friendly. Or, maybe they need to buckle up and decide that they have to maybe work 20 minutes later that day in order to make a little bit more money.
