After the installation of my dishwasher, I found it was leaking into my cabinets. Mason sent out Jose the same day and fixed the problem. It happened again a few week later and again Jose came out within 24 hours to fix the problem. This was all because I have a porcelain sink and didn't want to drill another hole in it for the dishwasher ventilation vent. It took a couple of customizations by WWB to get it right. Update- November, 2017. We had some issues with cracks in 5 of our travertine floor tiles a couple of months ago. I called the office and spoke to Joseph, the office manager, and explained our problem. He told me that we were covered by the warranty and he would arrange for them to be replaced. I am so pleasantly surprised by Joseph, he was so efficient, keeping me up to date, ordering the tiles and setting up the contractor before Thanksgiving. We just finished renovations on our new home. We purchased a historic property that desperately needed a kitchen and bathroom renovation. After 4 estimates, we chose Wright Way Builders. The GM Hiladio is passionate about his work. He is very good at his job. They were not the cheapest or most exspensive bid, but I felt the most secure with the decision to hire them. It took longer than quoted but all renovations do. What I liked about them is that they stayed true to the estimate they give you. With such an old house, there could have been lots of hidden suprises but luckily there wasn't anything I didn't already know from inspections. They use Buildertrend app, so you can post pictures of your design ideas, items you purchase with measurements and make payments. I liked that they gave a breakdown of cost on the estimate, and that you pay in segments as each phase completes. This way you don't have to worry that the workers aren't going to finish a job. We love our new kitchen and bathroom. And the best thing about Wright Way is that if something doesn't meet your satisfaction, they will fix it. This is very much appreciated. We had all new plumbing in bathroom, new electrical and a panel up grade, paint and tile. I really even like the connection the plumber added in the kitchen for the fridge ice maker. Some times it's the little things. They installed all new appliances including a dishwasher and garbage disposal that had not previously existed in the old kitchen. Our PM was Donald and even though we had some issues with communication between him and the sub contractors, he got it on track and made sure everything was to my satisfaction. My new kitchen is amazing! I had worked with Mason several years ago on a painting project at my home, it was great work, went smoothly and was fairly priced. When it came time last year to finally re-do my kitchen I looked around online, read reviews etc. and ended up giving Mason a call to get an estimate. So glad that I did. I own a Spanish style home with galley kitchen, I didn't want to knock down any walls or do a major reconfiguration, but I needed an update, really wanted more storage space and bring the kitchen into the modern era while still keeping the charm of the old home. Mason immediately understood my vision. He had me work with a designer, custom cabinet maker, selected all the tile and fixture samples for me to choose from and made the process streamlined. Yes, it was more than I originally budgeted, but I have to say it was worth every penny. Had I gone the cheaper route, I would have a nice looking kitchen but I would not have the quality and functionality that I have today. In the same square footage I have a gourmet kitchen. I love to cook, I spend a lot of time in there and absolutely love it. Luckily I was able to increase my budget, however it is worth mentioning that I never felt pressure to do so, Mason would have worked within my budget to give me a great outcome if I had had to stick to my original budget. Construction is never fun, let's face it. It was however on schedule, on budget and the finished product is perfection. Mason used an app to make the invoices easy to read, regular communication and Jason as my day to day contact point worked out great. We had a couple hiccups along the way, that's to be expected but they were resolved quickly. I should also mention that we had a couple more things taken care of by Mason and his crew all at the same time. Hey, I turned the money faucet on so figured I may as well get the exterior pained and a new roof. Super happy with the result of both of those projects as well. But I'm getting ahead of myself, so lets start from the beginning. I decided to use Wright Way Builders for my full interior remodel and I couldn't be happier. They installed and did everything (floors, full kitchen to a new location, paint, design recommendations, added 1 more bathroom and updated the living room, family room and all 3 bedrooms). Mason and his crew did such an amazing job. Everyone who comes in my house comments on how nice it looks as asks who did the work. Not only did they do quality work but they had the most reasonable price too. During the remodel, when things needed to be changed they made it right with no questions asked and never asked for more money. The workers are very honest and have good communication which I feel is huge. There was never a language barrier. The time frame took a little longer than expected but that was due to me in changing some plans during the process. They accommodated my changes/additions professionally and made sure I got exactly what I wanted and was happy with the result. Overall I couldn't recommend Wright Way Builders more. Quick back story: Old condo. Original kitchen. Dated appliances, electrical, cabinetry, flooring, etc. Desperately in need of a facelift. We looked at reviews for TKR, Wright Way, and Long Beach Building Contractors. Wright Way Builders seemed to be the best fit. End result: Could not be happier. Our project was done a week ahead of schedule and on budget. Organization: Mason is the HMFIC. Our project manager was Jason. The guy smashing things and building things was the contractor Anthony. Pros: Kitchen looks fantastic. Mason's vision worked out even though I wasn't sure at times about a couple of the design features. Mason's communication with us was perfect, and damn near constant. When we needed something or he needed something, we were able to reach him any time, day or night. The guys that were here working were on top of things. From the moment they could start until the moment they had to stop, they were here working and hustling to get the project done. Nothing felt like a haphazard rush job. It just felt like there was a sense of urgency to get it done which I appreciated. Extensive efforts were made to keep dust down and keep the rest of the condo clean. Plastic sheeting was put up and paper was taped down to the floor DAILY to prevent damage/dirt from accumulating. Demolition and remodel is a dirty business, and things still got dusty... but they did their best to make sure that it was controlled. We appreciated it, and I'm sure the rest of the building did too. If there were problems that came up, it was important to everyone to get those issues fixed the RIGHT way instead of the easy way, which was very important to me. Cons: There were a couple minor issues. Mason's communication with us was fantastic. It felt like Mason's communication with Anthony was somewhat lacking. There were a couple design features that got discussed and hammered down during the design meetings we had that didn't ultimately make it into our kitchen. There were also things that we mentioned to Anthony that he had no idea were in the plans. We didn't see Jason much. When we did he was very personable, but he probably had other projects going on. We weren't well versed in remodeling anything, so when things like schluter or bull nose tile came up, we were clueless. If you know what you want down to the smallest detail, you're good. If you don't watch enough HGTV, you might get frustrated with details that get left out when you're expected to supply certain things. Advice: Hide your chocolate. If you leave chocolate out and tell Mason he can have them all, he will demolish them over the course of your project. (He showed up on the final day with bags of replacement chocolate, which I found hilarious and a wonderfully kind added touch.) If you know what you're going for with your kitchen, go on Pinterest and find exactly what you want. There were a couple times in the project where we were stuck because we weren't sure what to go with as far as colors of grout, or paint colors, or minor things... and it was REALLY frustrating for a day or two. Overall... I would not hesitate to call Mason again. In fact, once we get our pennies saved up, we've already asked him to price out a new bathroom for us. All of the cons that I mentioned ended up getting handled and we were left with a kitchen that we really like, without having to compromise on anything other than some shelves that were in the original plan but didn't make it into the final kitchen. Mason and I both have personalities that mesh well, so that was great as well. Any issues we had were so minor that I wouldn't take away a star from this review or hesitate to call Mason for the next project. read more

Wow. Just called here to be told they could not help me. I recently bought a townhouse and need some work done - entire house needs floors replaced and bathrooms need to be redone in addition to some wall work in the dining room. When I explained what I wanted done in the bathroom I was spoken to NOT very nicely, mind you...that Wright Way ONLY works on remodels. "If you want to us to just replace a vanity we don't do that." Hmmmm...ok, so I guess, cutting and tearing out an old fiberglass shower and completely replacing it with something new and improved doesn't count? Then doing the floors around them and the toilets. Doing the same of an old fiberglass bathtub? Tearing out all carpet - putting in new baseboards- painting....tearing up a wall...hmmmmmm...ok... You know, if the job doesn't sound big enough - just say the job probably isn't big enough for the company at this time. Or just say you don't have enough time for the job! Not a big deal! I searched yelp for several different painters to come and paint a couple areas in my house. The quotes ranged from $1,000 to $1,800 with a starting date estimate of one to two weeks. We wanted this done as quick as possible and after waiting a week to hear back from someone we agreed to start with (who apparently didn't need our business)... i decided to keep looking and found Wright Way Builders. I emailed them and received a call back the next morning (which again... you would think if you are a painter and someone asks you to paint you'd be happy to do business but you wouldn't believe how many places [8 others] DON'T respond at all... crazy...) Anyways, I received a call back and email from Chelsea Wright right away and she recommended their "painter for a day" service. Due to the scope of work and how quickly we wanted it done, she was able to free up two painters the very next day to come over. At a flat rate of $90 an hour ($45 an hour per painter) I went to lowes with my wife and picked up four gallons of different paint we wanted (because with that fee you have to pay for paint and other supplies you might need). I figured even buying the paint myself it would still be a deal... Boy was that an underestimate. The two painters arrived at 7:50am, ten minutes before their shift started and got to work right away. Because I supplied all the paint, I didnt have to pay for any other supplies. The workers took only one [barely even] twenty minute lunch break and finished literally double the work in only seven hours. They worked so fast and did such a great job that we had them do two extra huge 14ft high walls. As an over estimate, it cost about $90 for the paint and $630 for the labor. Meaning that for double the work, they were still over $300 under our original budget. If we had gotten all that work done with the original company we were going with it would have easily been $2300 total. The painters were very respectful of our property, didn't spill a single drop of paint, and I couldn't be happier with Wright Way Builders. If you need anything painted, call them. I highly recommend them and will be calling them in the future if I ever need anything painted again. read more

My wife and I decided to tackle a massive home remodel project. We also decided we would tough it out and live in the house (with four kids - two of them under 4-years old) during construction. I having been in commercial construction for 20-years, interviewed 6 contractors for the job. I felt Mason and Wright Way Builders understood our needs and the nature of the project best and we moved forward. We are near completion and I must say that I have never worked with a more professional and hard working group of individuals. Regardless of how bad the construction site was during the day, they knew that we would be coming home with our small children at the end of the day and they devoted almost 2 hours every single day to cleaning. No matter how bad the house was at times with open walls, ceilings and floors, by the time our kids were home things were temporarily covered, swept and wiped down to maintain a safe and livable environment. Throughout the project there were several major structural issues (which were unforeseen conditions) that arose. My wife and I feared a series of massive change orders coming our way but were completely caught off guard when Masson met up with us and told us "I gave you a price to build your house and I will stand by that". I was shocked. That's unheard of in my world. So many people warned us about how difficult this remodel was going to be on us and our family. I truly believe that had it been any other contractor, that statement would be true. This however was actually much easier than we could have possibly imagined and our house has turned out far better than we could have ever anticipated. My wife and I recently completed a kitchen remodel and room addition with Wright Way Builders on our small 1950's 2Bd/1Ba Lakewood home . Overall it was a positive experience and we are very pleased. There were challenges along the way, but the team at Wright Way worked hard to find suitable solutions. Contact/Responsiveness: Good After leaving two voicemails we received a call back from Vanessa. She is professional and kind, but direct and to the point. After advising her of the work I needed done, Mason (the owner) came to my home within and a few days and provided an estimate. We also interviewed two other contractors. Wright Way was not the lowest bid but Mason was confident he could give us what we wanted and in a very reasonable time frame (30-45 days). Throughout the project, we had no issues getting in touch with Vanessa or our project manager, Heladio. The only minor complaint was receiving receipts on time. Project Manager: Great Heladio was a true professional throughout the entire project. He was patient, timely and communicative. Your happiness is his greatest priority. We were VERY picky clients and he never trivialized our concerns. We had a few issues with two of the subcontractors (leaving a mess behind and a scratched/dented window), but he dealt with the issues promptly and brought them to a satisfactory resolution. He was on-site several days a week and kept us up-to-date on the progress and what to expect next. He always returned calls and text messages. The bottom line is that Heladio cares that his clients are satisfied. Quality of Work: Good Our framers, Josh and crew, were excellent. They were the consummate professionals. They completed the demolition of an old patio structure + concrete, poured the foundation and framed the entire addition within two weeks. Also, they installed 4 windows and french doors and built our deck in one day. They were respectful, timely, and cleaned up after themselves. They were, hands down, the best subcontractor. The electricians were good and made several changes to accommodate our ever changing needs in the kitchen and addition. The Ikea kitchen cabinet installer was fast and friendly. He does B+ work so if you see something wrong and ask for it to be fixed, he will. But if you say nothing, he will leave it that way. The plumber and stucco man were fair. When installing the dishwasher, the drain tubing was left very loose causing a leak that we didn't catch until 2 days later. The base cabinet bottom under the sink remains water damaged, but serviceable. We did not inform Wright Way. Additionally, one of the water valves underneath the sink was defective and Wright Way came to replace it a couple weeks after the project was over. The stucco man was careless with our new windows, but as mentioned above, his errors were corrected by Heladio and crew. The drywall and painters were great as well. They did more than we asked and were very professional. The floor guy was phenomenal. He restored our original 1950's wood floors to their original beauty and installed matching floors in the hall and kitchen/dining room. His ability to weave old wood with new to create a seamless floor was impressive. Overall: Wright Way is a solid choice. They are a legitimate contractor and will execute your vision. For us, the end result was a seamless dining room addition that looks like it was always a part of the house and a beautifully executed kitchen remodel. Wright Way Builders came recommended to us by a colleague who just went through a renovation with them. Mason, the owner, came out to our property and looked at what we wanted to do and promptly gave us an estimate, which we thought was reasonable compared to other contractors we looked at. After the bid was accepted, we only communicated with Heladio, the foreman for the project. It was an extensive project, which included gutting 2.5 baths and a kitchen. The project was to take 3 months, but ended up taking 5-5.5 months in total. Most of the delay, however, was due to delay of the windows we ordered. The time frame also included final inspection and follow-up items to get passed inspection. Throughout the project, we did not come across any big surprises. We had two change orders throughout the entire renovation and because we felt they were reasonable, we went ahead with the changes. We enjoyed working with Heladio. He has great work ethics and is always professional. He always addressed questions and concerns we had either via email or phone. Although some things were done incorrectly, they were promptly fixed after we pointed them out. We are very happy with the overall quality of work - our kitchen and bathrooms came out beautifully done. We did a final walkthrough with Heladio prior to our final payment. The guys came back right away the following day to address the touch up finishes discussed during the final walkthrough. The owner, Mason was prompt and polite when he came out to give me an estimate. He understood my budget constraints and provided pricing for two different options. One option relocated my kitchen and added a bedroom and bathroom. The other just remodeled my kitchen. (In hindsight, I wish I would have gone with the bigger project because the finished product was so nice). I went with Wright Way because of Mason. He listened to my ideas - pointed out potential problems and made helpful suggestions keeping in mind my budget. There was no pressure. Other contractors I met with seemed either to blow me off due to my budget or seemed to want to do their design. The project was to take 4 weeks (20 business day), but it actually took about 6 weeks. From talking to neighbors - this is normal and in the scope of things wasn't too bad. One area that they could improve on is communication. My project manager changed throughout the project. I had 3 different project manager, plus a cabinet designer, so never really knew who to talk to when there were problems/questions. Thankfully Vanessa, who works in the office, was easy to reach and always helpful. On the plus side - I wanted stone counter tops and Mason worked these into the price. I also wanted drawers instead of cabinets on my lowers and he worked this into the design and my budget as well. Their tile person was really good and my floors and backsplash came out exactly as I pictured it in my head. They were on time and always cleaned up after themselves. They put up a great barrier so that we could keep the dust out of the rest of the house and keep the dogs out of the work area. Some of the negatives were that I felt I needed to check the work each night. I felt there were times that things were done incorrectly (not as I had requested). However, when I pointed them out they were usually fixed quickly. I wish there had been more interaction/discussion with the project manager before work was completed. For example: the placement of electrical outlets and light switches - I wish I could have talked these through with someone before they were installed. I think the most important thing I can say is that they were always patient and polite. I didn't realize how stressful remodeling is. There are so many decisions to make, your routines are changed, and things are out of place. And, with a kitchen you're eating out or living on microwave food. Plus, if you're on a tight budget you worry about costs. Again, their patience was really important. They always listened to my concerns and worked hard to alleviate my concerns. The finished project turned out beautiful. Our kitchen is our favorite room in the house. I'm now trying to save money so I can have them back to do my main bathroom and my back porch. read more

Mason (Owner) was very reachable by phone and email. I never felt ignored or "put off" 5. BOTTOM LINE: It was such a "Breath of Fresh Air" to have a general contractor do EXACTLY what was promised , with no "over budget" issues......and more importantly, WITH NO B.S. ! Hired for kitchen and bathroom remodeling. Some good people working for the company. But....work in progress, some good, some not so good, needs to be corrected...there is so much work left, at this point I am not sure if this company is capable of getting themdone and when, already 2 weeks over the initial completion time, due to "other higher priority project"!?! ***** Adding one more star because this past Saturday, Apr 21st, the project that was started on Jan 29th finally got finished, as we like it. The length of time was extreme. We didn't add in anyway to it( didn't make design changes, colors, materials, etc) Although the company denied that they sent people to other projects, delaying the work at our home, I continue to feel; after the first part of the review that workers were sent when they could be speared from somewhere else; follow up and communication in general about what, when....much better. Work planing, use of work force, project execution in general needs serious improvement. read more

After seeing all of the positive reviews, we hired Wright Way to paint the exterior of our home, and we truly could not be more pleased with the outcome. They did a spectacular job! We called Mason on a Thursday, and by the following Monday morning, his guys had begun prepping the house. This team works HARD and long. They were always there by 8am and would often stay until 6 or 7 each night. Our 1500 sq. foot home was completed in under 6 days, and it looks outstanding! It's so rare for a business to exceed expectations these days, sadly, but they truly did. Not only does our home look beautiful, but these men were considerate, friendly, and so respectful. Just one example - we hired a separate contractor to put glass in our back door, and didn't realize the door was hung wrong until the next day when it wouldn't open. The guys from Wright Way immediately came to our rescue and helped us fix the door in a matter of minutes. They didn't have to do that, but they did and they seemed so happy to help us. SO KIND! I am so thrilled that we went with them. I'm now proud of my home again, and the amount of compliments I've received are ridiculous! read more

Within three days, Mason's crew had stripped and washed my house, prepped and patched the stucco, then painted every angle and finished off the trim in a brand new color. I had two text messages and three surprised greetings from neighbors that same day, complimenting on my home's new, younger look. Two of them didn't even know how it happened! Mason's painters were always on time, polite, and hardly left a trace behind - no drips to clean up, no plastic sheeting, no clogged sinks. Me and my home couldn't be happier with this new look. This is the first time we had Wright Way builder to fully remodel our master bathroom. My experience has been wonderful with them. Mason the owner who came in and give us a bid for the project and fully understand what we are trying to accomplish. Heladio is the PM and very responsive with all our question and concern and address them very quickly. We fully tear everything out from the old bathroom and put in new vanity/tile/marble top.....etc. Thanks to their top notch quality work, we turned our 20 yr old master bathroom into a contemporary style modern bathroom. Their price is very reasonable their crew is also very polite and clean up everyday after they finish the day's work. I never has to worry about any clean up after their work. We are so happy with their work and already planning to have them come back and remodel our kitchen and do the room addition project. Our exterior hadn't been painted in approximately 15 years. As a result it wasn't looking particularly attractive. I contacted Wright Way Builders and Mason came out to give us a quote. He was very knowledgable, helpful, and gave a competitive quote. What they did: -Stucco repair in several areas around the foundation(water damage) -Fixed stucco where it had been patched improperly by another contractor -Scraped, sanded, filled, and primed all wood which was in great disrepair due to the poor condition of the paint -Painted the exterior What really stands out in their work is the level of detail. This was a 5 day job. They really took their time making sure the house was properly prepared before any paint went down and it shows. The 60 year old wood trim and siding looks brand new, the stucco repairs were done well, the crew was friendly and courteous, and any questions or concerns were immediately addressed. Oh, and the house looks great. There was an issue of miscommunication on another project we were interested in getting a bid on which is what keeps me from giving them 5 stars(I'd give 4.9 if I could). Not a big deal, but it did add a little unnecessary stress to the situation. I would absolutely recommend having Wright Way Builders take a look at your project. read more

I am no stranger to DIY painting, but I was too intimidated by the ancient, oil-based paint slathered on my kitchen walls and cabinets by my landlord probably circa 1993 to tackle it. Not only that, I had severe peeling on my front door, thanks to an indie film crew that threw on a coat of water-based paint on top of the oil-based paint already on the door. TSP I can handle, but all of that sanding, priming...yikes. Nonetheless, being on a budget as I am, I told myself I would get to re-painting these areas, and kept telling myself that for about ten years. Thank goodness I finally met Mason of the Wright Paint Crew and hired him to do it instead! His estimate was so incredibly reasonable that even a struggling artist like me could handle it, so I decided to go for it. I am THRILLED, because the work was KILLER and worth every penny! I wanted a very light color on the kitchen walls, which needed to be matched to the paint in the main living area, and wanted a deep red color on my cabinet doors. Mason and his crew arrived in the morning, and did everything in one day! It would have probably taken me a week to do it myself, and a LOT more headaches. Red is a particularly difficult color to get to behave well (I know from personal experience), but from the smooth, expert work done by Mason's crew, you'd never know it. The red is rich and vibrant, and not even a speckle is visible anywhere near the very light pink on the cabinet wells. In literally one day, my life was VASTLY improved by hiring the Wright Paint Crew. Seriously, I'm not exaggerating. If you are thinking about it, absolutely do not hesitate for a moment. Mason is the nicest guy on the planet, and dedicated to excellent work at a price you can afford. Don't wait ten years like I did. Thanks guys! read more

This is my first review. I have a very low tolerance for contractors these days. We bought a home a year ago and have had a revolving door of them. At best, they were almost tolerable. I am not a difficult customer (I think). I just expect people to do what they say they are going to do OR let me know in a timely manner if you cant. That's it. As far as Wright Way, they are the first ones I would recommend. Here is a quick breakdown. Project - Painting my exterior and giving my roof a tune up. Good - Showed up on time or early. Kept to the schedule. Did good work. Communicated pretty well during the project. I didn't feel as I had to babysit them like most contractors. I was quite surprised when I wrote in their end of day comment sheet and they actually took care of what I wrote. (The fact that this amazes me shows how low the bar has been set for me as far as contractors go). Seemed to respect my property. The on site guys asked lots of questions instead of assuming. Bad - Although someone picked up the phone almost every time, follow ups were rare when required. Emails seem to go straight into the trash, not sure I ever received a reply and I think I sent about 5-6. Although this is pretty standard, it does always bother me; after you get the estimate and talk at length with whomever gave the estimate, you never see him again. Lastly, although communication was good, could have done a bit better (hey 4 stars from me is pretty good) for example; I was never told a dumpster or port-a-poty was going to be used. I think its great they were, but they showed up before the day of the work. It was a big surprise when I showed up to home and there they were. A simple email or call would have placed that on the "good" list. Solid company that I am going to recommend to my parents that need a house painted. I will use them again. read more

Wright Way was recommended by a working associate. We were in the process of painting the outside of our home and changing out a couple of doors. We met with Taylor, who handed us over several paint samples from which we picked out a color coordination that we liked. Except for a spate of rain, which couldn't be helped, the process went smoothly. We worked out details with the painters, who were quite patient with me and my occasional nitpicking. I was home the entire time--they didn't stop moving and working except for lunch! They were very good about security of the building as well. Our house looks spiffy now, and we're satisfied.
