Our experience with Eric West / EWC Construction Services has been devastating. We hired him to build our ADU under a $237,000 contract and paid approximately $130,000. Only a small portion of the project was completed before work stopped, leaving us with an unfinished construction site. We have since filed a CSLB complaint, police report, bond claim, and complaint with the District Attorney's Office. We also later connected with 6 other families who reported serious problems with their projects involving the same contractor. This ADU was intended to help secure our daughter's future, which makes this experience especially painful. We are sharing our documented experience so other homeowners can do their due diligence before signing a contract or making large payments. If you wish to contact me: call 3103441119 read more

This guy is a scammer. Does 1/4 of the job, collects the money, then ghosts you. Look up the company on BBB, there's a complaint against him and has not addressed it which is why he has a -D rating on BBB. I know that he has scammed AT LEAST 4 families already. The guy (Eric) is a lowlife and his business will be shut down soon. read more

I cannot recommend this company. I paid nearly $50,000 for work that looks like it cost maybe $20,000. The owner, Eric, blamed everyone, including ICE and the President, instead of taking any accountability. I don't believe Eric knows much about construction; the quality of work depends entirely on his hired help, which he also managed poorly. He is nice until the very end, but being nice doesn't result in quality work. I paid for a full remodeled bathroom, kitchen. Did not get the kitchen because he lied about his abilities and he has zero connection for contractor rates. Once I seen the work and tge time it took for a tiny bathroom remodel I had zero confidence in him doing my kitchen. Nonetheless, he was paid for several areas to be painted, floors installed in 3 areas and a remodeled bathroom. I gave Eric several chances to rectify all the issues but he continued to lie and scam. He charged me an additional $1400 for an electrician to move a switch. No electrician touched my home. I had to pay another to come and fix every outlet his handyman touched. Eric doesn't have a license to do drywall, painting, electrical work or plumbing. He doesn't staff anyone with these licenses nor can he prove he has contracts with any. He is a general contractor that is supposedly knowledgeable in new builds and framing work. Attached are images of what he considers a quality finish. He claims I fired him before he could fix anything, but that is simply not true. I find it hard to believe that he allowed work of this quality to be presented to a customer without his review. He promised a final walkthrough and cleanup, but as you'll see in the images, that never happened. Save your time and go to Home Depot--you will spend less and receive better work. read more

They set the bar high! My project was a kitchen remodel, elevating a sunken living room, new wall, taking out fireplace facing to close it off, smoothing a flat ceiling in living, dining and kitchen area, and new flooring. All I can summarize is WOW! Communications are timely, nearly instantaneous. Work was taking place everyday all day, 6 days/week and so progress was briskly occurring. Eric was my project manager and from the first initial consultation he stood out among the four companies I consulted with because he is very concise, efficient with his questions/observations, took measurements while we were talking, showed me samples/ideas from their Instagram. read more

I just completed a whole house remodeling project with EWC and I am very much impressed by the quality and efficiency of their work as well as the great team that I've worked with. Eric is the owner and I have nothing but fantastic feedback about him. He's very responsive which is always my top priority when selecting a PM. I appreciate his positivity through the project that he always focuses on solutions when we encounter hurdles and setbacks. This positive mindset is crucial for any remodeling project with all kinds of moving targets to deal with. The rest of the crew were all very professional and a pleasure to work with! EWC also selects first class subcontractors i.e. electrician and plumber who delivered outstanding results. read more

Eric and his team are incredibly hard working, committed and talented professionals. We completed a full master bath and kitchen remodel plus flooring, fireplace retiling, lighting and multiple additional change orders in record time and very reasonable cost. Eric is so responsive and dedicated to his work. He did a lot of work himself which is rare to see a contractor who is so capable and skilled. I have done remodel and construction work in the past with other companies and their team surpassed all expectations. I am a happy homeowner! read more

We are very happy with the completion of our bathroom remodel. Eric and his crew were great and we appreciate their attention to detail and accommodating all of our requests. Eric offered exceptional advice regarding the replacement tile and window and he found a great deal on a replacement vanity for us. Throughout the project, him and his crew were professional, timely, and respectful. They all showed lots of love to our noisey and nosey dogs. Eric always finished their work on schedule and always left the job site clean and organized each day they were on site. Entire remodel was a smooth experience. read more

With everyone getting ADU's for their property, I have been in the market to actually get one of my own. I had 6 original quotes and I ended up going with EWC because of the scope of work and the communication they had from the very beginning and till the end. Fast forward 4 months and our ADU looks amazing and going inside is so refreshing. Super thankful to the EWC crew and Eric for handling all permits as well. It costs us about 320000 to build and it was well worth it. read more

We were defrauded by Eric West for over $158, 000. He started the work which only did more damage to the property. His workers complained that he never paid them for the little work approximately 5% that was done. It is questionable that the workers may have destroyed the five percent that was worked on as retaliatory. Eric has never returned our calls, emails, or letters. we are waiting for California State License Board to complete there investigation. buyer be ware this is not an honest contractor. read more

We had a major remodel in mind, removing walls and expanding our kitchen into an open floor plan. We interviewed 5 companies and chose EWC because as a design build company, everything is managed under one roof. They brought creative ideas, a can do attitude, and attentiveness. The team worked efficiently, kept a clean job site, and held a tight schedule over the 3 month project. He resolved unexpected issues quickly, and communicated daily with pictures and videos. Eric, the foreman, delivered excellent work and often suggested better solutions. We are delighted with the results and strongly recommend EWC. read more

After getting quotes from 3 different contractors, I asked Eric to come over and take a look at my garage remodel. Not only was his quote super competitive, he also could start the project quickly which was important for our family. The customer experience is top notch. Our project took roughly 3 weeks (in line with his 2-3 week estimate) and multiple times per week during the project he would call at night to check in, make sure we we're satisfied, and walk us through what would be happening over the next few days. This level of communication is hard to find with a lot of contractors and is much appreciated. read more

We hired Eric as our contractor to remodel 2 bedroom 1.5 bathroom house, pretty much all interior, from demolishing to repainting, replumbing laundry room, 1.5 bathrooms, installing hardwood floors throughout, and tiling kitchen and bathroom floors. Only thing we didn't have budget for was the kitchen cabinets. EWC exceeded my expectations and went above and beyond. They took care of our house like their family member's house. They showed up everyday 8hrs/day, rain or shine, 40+hrs a week worked really hard and paid attention to small little details. They had their own venders that carried top of the line materials at best prices. We were first time home buyers and crew made the house look like the ones you would see on HGTV. PROJECT was done less than 2 months! read more

We definitely recommend this remodeling team. Eric and the ewc team really care about their customers. Remodeling and construction can be stressful and Eric goes out of his way and made sure our needs were being met and any concerns were being addressed. Most importantly, the project turned out beautifully! read more

We hired EWC Construction for several projects in our house including major bathroom remodel, replacing entry doors, replacing patio doors and windows, exterior paint and siding. We had worked with many contractors before and EWC is definitely the one we would use for any future projects. The pricing is reasonable, quality of work excellent and there were no surprises along the way. The work was done while we were living in the house but everything was kept clean and contained. We are extremely happy with our project manager Eric, who was a pleasure to work with, always on top of everything, asked the right questions and provided good advice when needed. He helped us find great material options that worked out perfectly with our design! Highly recommend! read more

EWC construction provided a fast, fair estimate. Communication was great and paying was easy. EWC did a wonderful job remodeling my house. I highly recommend them. I did a complete remodel, including the kitchen, two bathrooms, and five other rooms. It was a pleasure working with them throughout the process. They offered great advice on design choices and materials, and offered great suggestions about where to purchase supplies and materials. Their suggestions saved me a ton of money. Additionally, the workmen were very helpful in picking up materials from different locations and hauling away debris and rubbish. The workmen arrived on time every day and picked up after themselves before leaving each day. Most importantly, the quality of their work was consistently outstanding. They went out of their way to make sure that their work met my standards and specifications. The few times I had to request changes to their work, they quickly made the corrections to my satisfaction. read more

They took the limited space we had and guided us to amazing solutions! We had so little pantry room that was connected to the laundry room in a weird way. Now, after opening the walls and expanding the rooms everything just look PERFECT. This remodel truly resulted in improved workflow - we have an amazing and functional laundry and pantry rooms! All our supplies and pantry items in this one room with plenty of counter space, better lighting bigger sink.. EVERYTHING, including the cooks, works better! We didn't feel pushed into decisions but rather listened to and understood. We wanted a design whose beauty and functionality would endure over time and include important updated features. We believe we got that result and then some. We are happy customers. read more

Overall, me and my parents are very happy with our new bathroom and we can't thank Eric and his team enough.
