They moved an electrical panel in our backyard and now water is coming from where the panel was flooding our dining area. Our living room fan isn't working anymore. They didn't schedule with us. In 2018 we had a re-tile of a fireplace surround done with some hand made tile. Not only did they buy an excessive amount of tile for the job and stick us with a lot of very pricey excess tile, but their installation has left us now with eroding tile, as you can see from attached photos. The erosion began with a haze, which slowly led to a crumbling away of the glaze from the top of the tile. Also, numerous tiles have cracked, which is caused by poor installation. We've received an estimate of $1400.00 for the twelve or so tiles that need replacing. At this point we're unsure if the entire flooring hearth part of the job needs to be torn out. That will be way more costly. We were unhappy in general with all the delays and the slow pace of this company. Now this has made us even more furious about their quality of work. When they were lacquering the wood for the mantelpiece, it kept getting cloudy because they were applying it too close. My husband had to tell the worker how to do it and to back up and stand further away. Their craftsmen were not that skilled in a number of types of work such as applying wood finish and also tile sealant. Their tape that they used to attach protective paper to my rug also ruined it in the spots that they applied the tape. So this review is not for work performed but about absolute poor & non existent communication. I had a meeting with Josh the day after thanksgiving for a pretty extensive project for my home. He was supposed to get back to me in 2-3 weeks with an estimate. I've called / emailed about 6-8 times over the last 2 weeks with no response. If this is the communication standard this guy operates with, then I'm VERY glad that I won't be working with him. This is by no means a small project, it's well over $1m build cost. I'm assuming this is a 1-2 man outfit that's used to doing smaller jobs. Would've been nice to have not been left hanging for over a month. read more

Wow, knocked it out of the park. This company has helped us with several projects now. They were responsive to requests and knew how to do everything right. Being someone that is a professional builder myself, I can say their quality shines through. I have a hard time asking for help and getting it when I don't have the time or expertise, but 7 Point was willing to meet us where we were at every time. Our Santa Barbara stucco finish they did is beautiful and widely complimented in our neighborhood. Made an appointment and no one showed up. I sent an email letting them know that no one showed up and no one even apologized. A month prior, I contacted them regarding an addition to my home. Earlier that day a guy called to tell me he was sending an email and that I needed to accept the appointment online. I gave him my email and never received it. I have a 1904 historic house and 7 Point did several repair that were not done correctly from a prior contractor. 7 Point repaired my downstairs bathroom ceiling with water leaks, repaired upstairs tile and sealed the upstairs bathtub that was leaking through to the bottom floor ceiling. They also fixed faulty electrical work that was not done correctly from a prior contractor and prevented a possible electrical fire in the attic in addition to correcting the tankless water heater in the attic that was not installed properly from the prior contractor. I have currently hired them to do my landscape and maintenance for my 5000 sqft yard. The company is definitely highly recommended by the Long Beach residents and all my friends use 7 Point. Ok. Let me start off by saying that I waited SEVENTEEN yearssssss to remodel my 1939 original kitchen. Yup. You read that right. 1939. And nothing had been done to it ever ( except that someone had added some gross peach kitchen tiles to the countertops in the 80s.). It was a HOT mess and completely ill suited to how we live and how we need to function as a family! . I can't tell you how absolutely thrilled we are with the workmanship and our final results with our kitchen. Josh and Ron were wonderful to work with, showed constant attention to detail and weren't satisfied until it was perfect ( seriously. Multiple times *they* were the ones that required that this detail or that detail be redone because *they* weren't absolutely satisfied. I mean, come ON! when have you ever heard that about a contractor?!?) . All of their workers were polite, conscientious of being in our home, and really great trades people. Their price point was in complete alignment with the other bids that we had gotten but their large amount of reviews over several review platforms was what made us choose them. I cannot say enough good things about Josh and his team. We used 7 Point to install some specific material as part of a larger backyard redo (wish we had know about them earlier, would have hired them to do the entire project). The install went smooth and we were happy with their service and follow up. They even sent us a Thank You gift basket which happened to arrive on our anniversary, which was a nice touch. About 5 months after the installation I noticed a hairline crack in the out-door counter top they had installed. I had recently rained and it was a material failure. I contacted the office and they had someone out the next day to look at it. A day or two after that I got an email to schedule the installation of a new counter top- no questions asked. This was not inexpensive material. I was blown away by their accountability and willingness to fix the problem as opposed to blaming someone else or telling me it wasn't too noticeable or we would just have to live with it (lines I have heard from other contractors). They came out and replaced the cracked piece (it is a larger counter top so two pieces). A day or two later I noticed the old and new piece looked to be a slightly different color. I wasn't sure if it was the lighting or just my eyes playing tricks on me. I didn't want to say anything to 7 Point after the great service they had already provided. But the color difference was there and others noticed it too. I called the office and again they had someone out the next day to look at it. I was so impressed when they got back to me a few days later to schedule the re-installation of the countertop again to match colors. Again, this was not inexpensive material! The crew came today and did the work. As expected, it looks great. Again, I have bee blow away by the accountability, integrity and customer service 7-Point has shown through this process (unfortunately, not the experience I have had with many other contractors). I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a contractor to do any type of work and will look forward to our next home improvement project to have an opportunity to work again with such a professional and stand-up group. read more

I totally forgot my set appointment but I was just 10 mins away from home so I could've gone but they suggested that I make a new appointment, It was my fault so I agreed. I'd like to start out by saying 7 Point Construction has not done any work for my husband and me. We reached out to them to get a bid on a new build. We have plans for a 2150 square foot home with a detached two-car garage. The plans also call for a small "rec room" attached to the garage. The 7 Point team was very quick to respond when I asked to meet with them to discuss our plans and to get a bid. Their customer service is great. What isn't so great is their pricing. I was sent an estimate for $1M+ excluding finishes. In my opinion, that's very high! My husband and I have received a few bids from contractors in the South Bay (Manhattan Beach, Redondo Beach, etc.) that were less and included finishes.
